Rejection in results recording

I have created a sampling scheme lot size=100, sample=10, c1=2 and d1=8 for a raw material
Now when i do results recording for 100 nos(sample=10)
defects=9
now in this case, when defects is 9, then as per sampling scheme , the lot should be rejected. But system is allowing to accept the lot. Same is the case with Usage decision.
Can anyone help with this

so first check ur Valuation type and what sampling schemes u r using with valuation type .

Hi,
If I have a checked sign on both of the Acceptance checkbox and Rejection checkbox (status:2, and valuation: yellow thunder sign icon) during QE51N, what does it mean in term of result recording, defect, and notification, and usage decision?
I am stuck as I don't know how to treat this MIC.

Hi Herment,
There is no such message you mention and the system allow me to save with status 2. However, the valuation field display a Yellow Lightning icon.
Now that I press the lock button (i.e. close) and clicked the save button, the system does not allow me to make any changes to this MIC, and which means there are two check sign on the Accept and Reject checkboxes now.
How to deal with it?

Results recording i have rejected but UD system will allow me to post

Dear All,
When i am doing results recording i am rejecting the particular item. But system will allow me to do UD for this one. There also i can accept those quantity. Here my client dont want that one. They are asking then what s use of doing results recording.
There is any configuration is there to achieve this requirement.

There is no config for this requirement. If the result recording is falied also UD has to be given to the lot. You have to post the material either block or to scrap or return delivery . Also even if parameters in result recording fails some parameters will not be critical and also there can be cases where want to segregate the good items and bad item.
So in this case if you want to partly post the material , then UD has to be given allowing you to post to unrestricted.
You cannot restrict the UD, but you can try restricting posting to unrestricted if any results are failed using Exits

Error in operation level result recording

Hi,
I need held; result recording of inspection type =03 (operation level Quality inspection)
A product manufacture via three operations (10, 20, 30)
All operation quality inspection active let operation no-10, all products reject and confirm as rework.
Next operation level quality record is done but confirmation not allow Reason is operation -10, rework quantity, (Actual quantity is more than planned quantity)
How to add the quantity after reworks for next operation quality inspection?
Pl helps me finding the solution.

As per your more clearence , As per Example production order Quanity =1, passes 3 operation10,20,30
Operation=10 require rework as per quality ,
Operation =20 system raise the error message = Operation =10 rework .
If want to operation =10 ok Quantity =1 then system raise error messges =Actual quanity more than planned Quanitity
( 1 Rework + 1 Ok ) .
Supose rework order create and confirm then next 20 & 30 operation how complete .
Real scenerio :- Rework on operation =10 then again Quality check then goes to 20 operation Quality check pass / Rework if rework then again quality pass then goes to next operation level

Result recording for quantitative inspection characteristic

Please find the following requirement.
We are using quantitative characteristics inspection.
Inspection lots are created automatically and the sample size for each characteristics are determined based on the sampling proceedure.
when we do result recording for a characteristic, say the sample size is 5, even if any one of the sample does not fall under the limit, we need the characteristic to be rejected.
How can this be addressed.

Hi,
While results recording for every quantitative characteristic I am getting the options as Accepted / Rejected / No Valuation / Failed. I want the system to accept the numeric values. I tried to change the valuation mode in sample procedure, but no use.
What might be the problem?

Helo Gurus,
I done result recording as rejected for perticuler operation , then also the operation is going to confirm in co11n, actually it should not confirm know.
What is actual process for that in QM? After rejection logically the operation should again done by the production deparment, that means....., please guide me, & provide the steps for the same.

Keerthi is absolutely right. These scenarios has to be mapped with rework process. in standard QM there are no much control available please find some of the options you can do
1) Once you find that the material is rejected either you can say in the pop up screen for confirmation that is no confirmation, or make use of the rework process. You will have to use user exits to have a better control on the rework process.
2) Make your setting in such a way that only after production person confirms the rework order then only rejected material should be allowed to confirm in the next operation.
3) You can make use of this user exit to deal with all kind of controls in CONFPP05

Want to change the Result Recording Result

Hi All,
I have a problem Please help me out or suggest me is it possible to do-
Result Recording is done and saved for a particular lot and result is accepted and i did UD for that and accepted as well as i posted to un-restricted stock with Acceptance and saved.
Now my client want to chance the result and reject it and post it to blocked stock again do UD.
This is our normal requirement here.

Hi,
You have to explain your client the process and its pros and cons, once you give UD and post the stock then how will that be canceled. Keeping apart SAP, in actual domain practice also when you accept the lot you can't reject it on same challan, you have to so separate process.
Here best way is to assign 08 Insp type to that material and create the lot using 322 movement type (MB1B) and again reinspect and post it to block and send back to vendor. This is only if you need to record results again, otherwise you can directly post from unrestricted to Block stock using movement type 344 i.e. from unrestricted to block then purchase person will send it back to Vendor. You can raise notification to keep record of this movement.

Result recording configuration with automatic close indicator

Hi Guys,
I was testing this automatic result configuration in my system.
I selected the u201C1u201D (i.e. Automatic Close) Recording Configuration indicator on the plant level in SPRO > QM > Basic Settings > Maintain Settings at Plant Level> plant > Result recording tab > Recording configuration > maintain Automatic Close.
Next, I entered the three user parameter ID QAE, QAN, and QAS in the user parameter SU3. However, I leave the parameter value for these three ID blank as I donu2019t know what to put in.
During result recording, I tested this MIC characteristic on both reject and accept scenarios (i.e. fall under lower/upper limit, and fall outside lower/upper limit). To my surprise, nothing happens. In another word, there is no automatic close incurs on the inspection characteristics (i.e. both the accepted and rejected checkbox still remain unchecked even I navigate around, and hit the u201Ccontinueu201D, u201Cbacku201D, or u201Csaveu201D button).
Further, I have fulfilled the following prerequisite as specified in the SAP help portal on this topic:
1 - The inspection scope is fixed scope of this MIC.
2 - I entered the target sample size (i.e. both the value in the u201CInspectu201D and u201CInspectedu201D field is similar).
3 - I think I should have the authorization because I have entered the three parameter IDs on the SU3.
May I know what is wrong?
Can it be the parameter values for the three parameter ID are blank in my SU3? If so, what value I should enter for these three param ID? If not whatu2019s going wrong?

Hi Gajesh,
For some reason, it doesnu2019t work.
I think I will tell my guys to perform manually pressing the Lock icon button to force it to valuate and also become status 5, since this the two valuation checkboxes, i.e. accept and reject checkbox is either ticked correctly according to the sampling plan setup in the sampling schema.
Further, I donu2019t see why this extra manual step is so difficult for my worker.

Default defect class during results recording

Hi all,
In the inspection plan I have maintained target value 20, lower limit 19 and upper limit 21 for one MIC which has single recording. When I do results recording for the MIC, I entered value 18, 20, 20, 20, 21, 18 was rejected automatically with a defect class Major defect A. Where is the default defect class from? If I want to enter a different one, how to change it?
The only place I can imagine is the configuration of Catalog 9 Defect Class in which defect class is assigned to each Code, but in my case no Code was selected.
Please help.

Hi,
Follow the path QCC0> Quality planning> Basic Data> Catalog> Define defect class.
In this field, you can customize the details as per your need.
Once done, you need to assign it to Plant level setting as told by Rohit.

Result recording for calibration

In the result recording , actual reading say 179.5 and set reading as 180 , the system valuate it as rejection means system
round off and valuation accepted . But it should be rejected.

In the Quantitative data please enter The decimal places atleat 2.
It seems that you have entered any thing so system will consider it as "0" decimal places hence rounding off takes place.

Formula Calculation while result recording

While result recording for any Characteristic, the system should calculate some formula to accept or Reject the characteristic.
Eg. Let me take the characteristic as Carbon.
Upper limit     0.100
Lower limit     0.000
My sample size is 3
While result recording I entered the value as
1 0.055
2 0.059
3 0.062
System should calculate the below formulas & the values are in between the tolerance then that should accept or reject the characteristic

X-H*R
Where
X - Mean value of the Sample
R Range (Minimum Maximum)
H- this is the Standard value given by the customer and it should calculate according to following sample size n
Here Same please size is 3 So the value of H is 1.300
Samle(n)     (h)
2     6.360
3     1.300
4     0.720
5     0.510
6     0.400
7     0.330
Now the X+ H*R = 0.068
& X-H*R = 0.050
So the values are between the tolerance limits. So the system should propose to accept the characteristic Carbon

Accept tab not activated for characteristics in result recording screen

'Accept and Reject tab' is active only for few characteristics in result recording screen.After entering all the inspection data's system is manually valuating each MIC.
Pls. help me on how to activate the 'Accept and Reject tab' in results recording.

It has calculated the sample size 40 for the sample lot 280 correctly

My requirement is such that if we enter a value in result recording and if it is rejected system should automatically propose a field where I will enter the value after testing it again.
We do not want any manual addition of same M,I.C

A controlling char is best suitable for this type of requirement but
Just a suggestion ...........May be you can use the Inspection point concept .
for first inspection point you can enter results.Suppose you find that results needs to be recorded on same set of char/MIC's then you can create next inspection point & record another set of values.

While result recording for a lot, if any value comes less than or more than the limiting value the system is automatically valuating either rejected or accepted .. But this valuation is not getting reflected in the usage decision there I can give accepted code even though it is rejected in RR. If any expert can tell me how to configure and relate RR with UD

As per SAP std there is no such a relation betweenRR & UD
but you can keep acheck that Result are recorded & what is valuation.
Use User Exit QEVA0010 UD: Usage decision check Logic will be check whether RR is done & all the char have status 5.
that means all char are valutated.Then Build a logic that as per acceeptence or rejection of char UD code must be get selected.
Suppose all char are rejected & you are taking UD as Accepted(A) then System should through Msg reading same.
I hope this will add some value.
