But probably, for you "external table" is a normal table that may hold the same structured data as a partition of another table does.
We have a feature for your requirement called "exchange partition with table".

Internal Hard Drive Backup + External Hard Drive Backup

Hi everyone and thanks for your attention.
My question is about Backup for two different hard disk.
I've got an internal 500 gb hard disk and a 4 tb external hard disk and my computer is a Macbook pro 15 Unibody 10.6.8.
I need daily (or better hourly) back up for the internal and the external. On the internal I've got system and applications, on the external my work project folders.
My solution at the moment are two other hard disk raid mounted as backup drives. They form together 5tb back up space. I'm using time machine, so it manage my internal 500 gb disk and my external 4tb disk together.
Today I had to recover my system from Time Machine. The app is recovering the documents, but I have a doubt. Before starting recovering I had to choose the hard drive where to recover the system. I had to decide between the internal and the external, and I've chosen the internal, because the OS was installed there.
Will Time Machine put the files, that were on the internal drive, in the internal drive and the ones that were on the external on the external?
My complete back up is 2.4 tb so my 500 gb won't surely be enough.
Moreover. I'm assuming that is so much better to divide the back up. One backup system for the internal and one for the external. It seems to me that my version of Time Machine (10.6.8) does not allow to assign different back up drive for different is use drive. Eg. an external drive to use for the internal drive and another external drive for the external drive in use.
What about next Time Machine versions?
Or maybe would be better to use Time Machine for the internal drive with an external drive as back up, and the use an another application such as Carbon Copy Cloner to back up the external drive to another different external drive.
To be more clear, the solution I'd like to have is:
Internal Drive (500 gb) > time machine > External Drive (1tb)
External Drive (4tb) > Carbon Copy Cloner > External Drive (5tb)

Hi, I have an iMac that I recently bought Leopard for specifically for Time Machine, which I heard rave reviews. I have a 160gb internal drive that I use for the OS and a 750gb external drive that I use for storing all my media (pics, music, movies). I recently bought an additional external hard drive, capacity 1tb. The original intention was to backup both my internal drive and my external drive to the new 1 tb drive through time machine.
When I go into the Time Machine preferences/options, it lists that the 750 drive is not to be backed up and I cannot remove it from the list. I called Apple support and they stated that you cannot backup an external drive through Time Machine which I think is ridiculous.
Both drives are connected to the computer via Firewire. Is there something I'm not doing right? Does anyone have a possible solution?
Please help as I incredibly annoyed with Apple if this is actually the case. Thanks

they told you that?! unbelievable. that's quite false. TM will back up any directly attached drive (external or internal) provided it's properly formatted. it has to be formatted mac os extended. how is your drive formatted?

Turning off internal monitor while using external one

Hello, Apple Support Communities.
Before OSX Lion, anyone could turn off internal monitor while using external one, by waking up computer with lid closed, and the internal monitor will be kept turned off. But now, -I wonder what made Apple to think this way- Lion will turn on the internal one back on.
I don't care about all sorts of reasons why should I or shouldn't I desire to this. I just want it, because I have nice big monitor, which is apparently bigger than my Macbook Pro. Besides using double monitor will just exhaust my poor laptop. -mine is bit old-
I found ridicoulus answer from community, saying I should try fridge magnet. Sorry, but I don't want risk my whole computer, especially my HDD from getting magnetic damage. It happened so many times, -thanks my little bro- so now I am sick of magnet. I don't think Apple will cover this AKA magnetic damage anyway. -It wouldn't just damage, just erase your HDD-
So.... Any helpful insights? Thanks.

Nevermind. I found solution. Though it cost me 24 bucks.
Now Apple is seriously making me to consider to roll back to sucking Windows.

How to change internal number range into external number range

Hi All,
There is a number range in the system which was assigned internally by mistake earlier. Now, I want to change the internally assigned number range to external number range.
Can anyone please let me know, the procedure to change used number range from internal number range to external number range and from external number range to internal number range.

hi Mehak,
you can try to simply change the range from ext to int (and vica versa). If that does not wrok, than you can delete the range and recreate it with proper settings. But you have to take into account that if you have a range as external from 1 to 10 and for example numbers 2 and 5 are taken already than you recreate the range 1..10 as internal, than you could have some problems. Probably best is in this case to recreate with other interval.

Is there any way by which we can search for all the BAPIs related to a particular Business Object?
For ex. can we write a report prgram through which we can search for BAPIs related to a Business Object.

Hi,
we can get the List of BAPIs for a Object type in following way.
go to tcode - BAPI
there will two parts on the screen.
on left hand side select any object,
for eg - sales and distribution -> billing -> ItCustBillingDoc
now on right side select tab 'Tools', there select the icon 'Create BAPI LIST'.
then the selection parameters will be displayed.
Now click the Search button you will get the list of BAPI in that particular Object type.

Date management on internal object master data

Hi gurus,
I need to use a set of dates on the internal object master data. On the date profile customizing there isn't anything that reflecting the management of the dates on products or internal object.
However, on the web UI (Internal Objects details screen) I found the field "Date Profile":
- component: PRDHS
- view: PRDHS/Header
- context node: PRODSETWTY
- attribute: STRUCT.TIMEPROF
This field is not active and I also searched for a set type that could allow me to activate it and to insert a date profile for my internal object without success.
I'm searching the way to activate this field on the internal object master data and to understand if it's possible to use the date profile on it.
Your help would be very appreciated.

Hello,
There are no date profiles assigned to products in the CRM system, I believe the same is true for internal objects.
Generally, once a product has been added to an order then the dates from the order/APO system are what are taken into account.
I have checked into internal objects but the only date I can find reference to is a timestamp:

I have also checked on information on the attribute STRUCT.TIMEPROF but haven't found anything.

Issue related to transportation of objects

Hi Experts,
I am very new to BODS tool.I have an issue related to transportation of Objects.
Please be noted that , there was already a project (X) existing in dev system and the same project (X) is already exists in quality system as well.
Now we got the requirement to replace the new source table to the existing source table in one of the dataflowin the Project(X). So in dev system for the same project (X) ,we have created a new datastore and imported a new source table into that datstore and used this table in that particular Dataflow to replace the existing table in the same project(X).
After doine this changes, its working fine in Dev system.
Now I wanted this changes to be transported in qual system as well.
So I have logged into Designer in quality system. In central repoistory, I was able to see two central repositories.One for Central Repoistory of DEV and Other Central Repoistory of Quality.I hope I need to view Central Repoistory of Dev( please correct me If .In this central repository(dev) I was able to view the same Project(X) but the latest changes were not reflected ( I mean to say new datastore and new source table in the dataflow were not been seen). So I have refreshed the central repoistory,still I was unable to view the latest changes in the same project(X).
Could anyone please guide me, what all steps I need to do, to get this changes reflected in quality system as well.
Please be noted that, I am working on BODS 4.2 version

First remember that when ever you are doing changes in existing project first you have to take the latest version of that project then you can do your changes.
Step1: Take latest version of code from Central Repository of DEV into your local repository then do yuor changes.
Go to Tools---->Central Repositories then select Central Repository of DEV then activate it. then get latest project from Central Repository of DEV.
Getting latest project from central---->Go to Tools---->Central repository library---> select your project---->rightclict---get latest version--->objects and depence.
I am not sure you made changes in latest code or not?
Step2: After you made changes in your local repo go to Tools---->Central repository library---> select your project---->rightclict---checkout-----objects and depence without replacement.
Step3: Go to Tools---->Central repository library---> select your project---->rightclict---checkin-----objects and depence. Now your changes moved to Central Repository of DEV.
Step4: Login to Quality system.
Step5: In Qaulity---Go to Tools---->Central Repositories then select Central Repository of DEV then activate it. then get latest project from Central Repository of DEV to Qaulity system.
Getting latest project from central---->Go to Tools---->Central repository library---> select your project---->rightclict---get latest version--->objects and depence.
Now Latest code transported to QA.

After installing Mavericks (from Mountain Lion) on my iMac 20" mid 2007 I cannot read musical cd on the internal drive neither on external. No problems at all with my macbook air.

When I put a musical CD into the reader (no matter if it is the internal Matshita or an external drive) the system write a message like :" this computer cannot read the disk" (in italian "il disco inserito non è leggibile da questo computer").
I have also a macbook air : no problem at all with the same CD and the same external reader.
Please help me.....

Followup: on a business trip. Booked ahead for Genius Bar appointment. Fixed in half an hour. His hardware test found nothing wrong with the MacBook. He flashed Mountain Lion onto the laptop with no hiccups. Right there in the store the MB connected to iCloud and I had all my personal information back. Back in the hotel room it only took me 3 hours to fully reinstall all my purchased software over the hotel's wired LAN from the App Store and third party sites, without needing a single DVD like in the bad old days. Even re-installing MS Office was painless. I just searched with Google, then the MS page I clicked on served up a form with my information on it automatically and sent me an email with the product key when I clicked download. Obviously their server recognized this device. I cloned the MB to a small PassPort backup portable external hard drive and then used the MacBook normally in meetings next day. Very impressive service. We've come a long way from portable computing two decades ago.
Still a mystery why the installation would not complete at home, but problem resolved.

your enquiry is a bit unclear to me please precise...
A multiprovider is nothing else than a combination of single providers where some of their characteristics can be combined in order to show and aggregate data in a single report.
There is no physical data storage for a multiprovider.
We can assume a multiprovider as a VIEW of type SELECT UNION.
Simplified:
SELECT CHAR1, CHAR2, KF1 = SUM(KF1), KF2 = SUM(KF2) FROM PROV1
UNION
SELECT CHAR1, CHAR2 = '#', KF1 = 0, KF2 = SUM(KF2) FROM PROV2
in the above CHAR1 are common to the two Provider whereas CHAR2 is only contained in PROV1, thus the data coming from PROV2 will show "not assigned"
Likely, KF2 is present in both providers whereas KF1 doesn't exist in PROV2 (=0).

Goto to SPRO>CRM>CRM cross application components>Generic interaction layer/object layer>component specific settings>Check entire model for transactions.
Here you need to check if a relation exists between BTorder and BTOrderHeader.If not you have to maintain the following entry.
Source object Relation name Assigned object Comp.Name Sobj.card Card.B Rel type Static Relation
BTOrder BTOrderHeader BTAdminH BT C 1 C 1 Composite Check

How to get Configuration (internal object number) during MM01

Hello Masters,
Does anyone know how to get the value of Configuration (internal object number) during MM01 so I can use the function VC_I_GET_CONFIGURATION to get the configurable variant values. I tried to check the MM01 exit EXIT_SAPLCUKO_001 include ZXCUCU02 and it' there but I need to know how to get it so I can use it because in other exits it's not included in the local variable.

Reroute internal speaker output to external speakers

I have at least two games that output their sound only through the internal speakers. I wrote to their customer service and they only had the suggestion of using the headphone jack. This is confirmed to be working, but it's not ideal.
I've tried the built-in sound menu, SoundSource, JackPilot, and RogueAmoeba's LineIn to try to reroute the sound. I clearly don't understand how the audio is being sent from app to computer. But I am vaguely aware that Macs have some restrictions on crossing the in-to-out barrier. The programs mentioned are all aimed at that problem, not my problem of sending audio from the internal speakers to the external speakers.
I could connect a second set of speakers to the headphone jack. But, my crazy idea is to hook the headphone jack directly to the audio-in. There's no way that could work, right? My Mac Pro would blow up, yes? (Seriously, wouldn't that create a short and the heaviest paper-weight ever?)
Any other ideas? How is this so difficult?

Um. To be clear, I was suggesting that I might run the headphone line directly back to the sound card, which would be amplified by the sound card and the external speakers (they plug into the wall and amplify as well). I was just afraid doing that would fry the system.
I don't exactly want to plug the externals into the headphone jack...
But for fun I tried it. Since the speakers are actually amp'ed, I'm getting kind of an insane amount of output from BOTH iTunes and the game through the headphone jack directly into the speakers. I guess I sort of solved the issue?
I mean, I still don't get why I can't go from the App to the Line-out, just like every other App.
(Maybe I'll invest in a small amp/splitter.)
