  • 8.50 Related Content External URLs

    The related content service definition in 8.50 allows parameters to be passed on an external URL. eg. http://myweb.site.com/?parm1=foo&parm2=bar
    What I need to do is pass parameters in this form http://myweb.site.com/foo/bar
    Anyone got any ideas how I could do this without writing an Iscript?
    Thanks
    Graham

    I assume the IScript solution would be akin to a proxy where the IScript uses %IntBroker.connectorrequesturl to proxy the request or it would use %Response.RedirectURL to transform the querystring into a folder spec URL. The only alternative I can think of is to use a JSP/Servlet/ServletFilter to perform the same function. With JSP, etc, at least you would only have the web server tier, not the app and db server tiers as well. This might cut down on some overhead.
    It would be nice if there was some type of pluggable App Class URL generation Meta data that would allow you to write your own URL generation app class for this type of case.

  • InfoView and CmcApp URLs unavailable

    Hi,
    we're experiencing issues  accessing both the sandpit InfoViewApp and the CmcApp
    on accessing the following URL
    http://hnsbosjd01s.glasgow.gov.uk:50000/InfoViewApp/logon.jsp
    I am reverted back to the login screen
    on accessing the following URL
    http://hnsbosjd01s.glasgow.gov.uk:50000/CmcApp
    I get a 503 error
    Application cannot be started.
    Details: com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo:
    Error in starting application [sap.com/CmcApp].
    If we try and access the sandpit environment via our tomcat server
    (which resides on our development environment) we are also unable to
    access the CMC.
    There haven't been any changes recently so I'm unsure why the problem
    has occurred.
    I have stopped and started the system and bounced the cluster in which
    it resides but to no affect. Profile parameters, environment variables, PATHs look ok
    I would be grateful for any advice on this issue?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Julian,
    thanks for the reply.
    to resolve the issue I had to redeploy the following:
    1. CmcApp
    2. CmcAppAction
    3. InfoViewApp
    4. InfoViewAppAction
    5. PlatformServices
    This is the 2nd time recently I've had to redeploy specific components on the sandpit environment. I've also had to redeply CmcApp recently on production. Have you experienced similar issues on the BOE environment?

  • XML.sendAndLoad - (Security-related) Error Opening URL

    Hi All,
    I know this is a common problem (I've searched), but I'm
    hoping you can help me out.
    1. What my Application Does
    My Flash app uses XML.sendAndLoad() to communicate with a
    Java Servlet on the same domain, in the same webapp.
    2. What happens when I run it on my (developer) machine
    It works.
    I connect to a url "
    http://localhost:8080/webapp1/servlet/FlashServlet"
    perfectly and pass around XML between Flash and Java
    3. What Happens on the Real Machine
    The Real Machines equivalent URL is
    http://int-tzn:8101/webapp1/servlet/FlashServlet
    The XML.sendAndLoad() cannot connect, with a "Error Opening
    URL" error.
    4. What I've Tried
    4.1. Using a
    crossdomain.xml on Real Machine
    (not sure if I've got in correct place, but i
    can see it at
    http://int-tzn:8101/crossdomain.xml
    4.2. Tried a StandAlone (Projector) WITH Network Access
    4.3. Tried using
    LocalContentUpdater to confirm and set
    network access
    4.4. Have set in my ActionScript :

    Please help.
    This needs to go into a large Production Environment in 2
    days and there are large amounts of money behind it.
    Thanks in advance.

    OK the deal is:
    When using TLF, a user visiting your webpage will download the TLF's SWZ file, if the user already has that file it will be downloaded from the adobe site, if the adobe site is down then it will search the .swz from where the website is hosted on.

  • How to remove bullets and spacing for url links in the Related Links iview?

    I tried to look for a property that I can edit the look-n-feel of the url links in the Related Link iView using "Theme Editor".
    All I need is to remove the bullets and increase some vertical spacing between the links.
    Currently, it looks like this:
    URL iView A
    URL Iview B
    I go through the whole section of Related Links properties, none of them seems to do what I want.
    Here are the list of properties in Related Link section (of Navigation Panel):
    Link Color
    Text Decoration of Link
    Hover Color
    Text Decoration of Hovered Link
    Initially, I thought "Text Decoration of Link" should be the right property I should look at. But there are a drop-down with 5 options: None, Underline, Blinking, Overline and Line-Through, which really can't achieve what I want.
    Thanks for advice.

    Hi, Kai.
    I checked the Related iView properties (URL Template), I don't see what layoutset it is really using. I am not sure, is that a layout set apply to the Related Link Iview?
    For the regular KM iView, I will see what Layout Set I want to apply, then I can go and change the properties (of layout coontroller, collection renderer & resource renderer)you mentioned. But for this Related Link iView, I really don't know. I guess it may be in the code itself.
    If there is a layout set for Related Link iView (or the place to apply layout set to it), can you point to me which one is that? (I did a search through the layout set names, I only find the AppQuicklinkExplorer (I used this for Dynamic Nav. Link iView before), if I can aply this layout set to Related Link iView, my problem will be solved.)
    Thanks for help.

  • Relative Paths In DSN-less JDBC URL

    Whenever I've seen DSN-less URL strings for M$ Access, they've always used an absolute path to the database file:

    String url="jdbc:odbc:DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=src\\data\\FirstLotParts.mdb";I'd like to be able to check out my application to a clean directory and have Ant run JUnit tests without having to change the absolute path. Is it possible? Thanks - MOD

  • Change relative URL of segments for HLS-VOD

    Simple Version:
    Can I change the URL of the TS segments delivered by the hlshttp_module in any way, or is it always relative to the requested m3u8 URL?
    Long Version:
    To try and protect my content from being accessed by third parties I want to use mod-auth-token, with a client inserted token in the request for the variant m3u8, and a server generated token in the HLS m3u8.
    My clients generate a token using a shared secret, and request the variant m3u8 from:
    https://myserver/hls-manifest/<clienttoken>/<hextime>/path/to/folder/manifest.m3u8
    This page is served dynamically (using php), and does not really have anything to do with FMS even though it is running in the same Apache instance. The m3u8 is generated with server tokens in the m3u8 URLs somethign like this:
    #EXTM3U
    #EXT-X-STREAM-INF:PROGRAM-ID=1,BANDWIDTH=10240000,CODECS="mp4a.40.2, avc1.42001f"

    I have installed mod-auth-token, and configured it on a LocationMatch for "^/hld-vod/(.*)\.m3u8$". Everything up to this works perfectly, and I can request both m3u8 playlists successfully. The problem is that the content of the m3u8 (the ts fragment URLs) are relative to the URL of the m3u8.
    #EXTM3U

    I want this to look more like this:
    https://myserver/hls-vod/path/to/folder/filename_1024k.mp4Frag1Num0.ts
    or even this:
    http://mycacheserver/hls-vod/path/to/folder/filename_1024k.mp4Frag1Num0.ts
    So the m3u8 needs to look more like this:
    #EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:10
    #EXTINF:10,
    http://mycacheserver/hls-vod/path/to/folder/filename_1024k.mp4Frag1Num0.ts
    I can think of lost of placeswhere this would have  useful applications. There does not appear to be anything in the Developer documents which would help here. Does anybody have a suggestion for something I can try?

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for using FMS 4.5 and its new features.
    However, there is no way to not to put relative urls for the ts files. However, you might like to do either Apache's "URL rewriting rules" or redirection . For rewriting rules, you might check http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/rewriteguide.html
    Though, you may suffer in caching benefits. Here, if the id that you have inserted is on per client basis, you may not get the caching benefits on the caching server as it will always caching on basis of
    https://myserver/hls-vod/dc226454b9e39b9ffc44f9496505c70e/4ea6963f/pat h/to/folder/filename_1024k.mp4Frag1Num0.ts
    while, if you use client side redirect something like
    redirect 301 url1 url2
    it may help. You might consider other similar solutions for example, client redirect on proxy servers etc.. just be ware of caching in your case (if applicable)

    Hi All -
    I have a strange situation with relative paths. When I use a relative path in cfinclude it works. But when I use a relative path is "src" attribute of <img>, it does not work. Can anyone suggest why could this be happening?

    CF relative paths are relative to the CF file the path is in; HTML relative paths are relative to the URL browsed to.
    Remember CF code is run on the CF server; HTML is rendered on the browser.

    The beauty of relative pathing is that it plucks them from the tree and calls either fruit.

  • Webkit get the URL of a link

    I am trying to add policy functionality to an app that I have written so that, for example, instead of opening a link to a page within my app itself it might open the link in the default browser or open a window to handle the functionality internally rather than use the functionality provided online.
    At this stage I am only trying to log what the URL is so that I can see what the format is. Once I've worked that out, I'll put together the policy code. The code that I have written so far is this:
    <pre>
    - (void)webView:(WebView *)sender decidePolicyForNavigationAction:(NSDictionary *)actionInformation
    request:(NSURLRequest *)request
    frame:(WebFrame *)frame
    decisionListener:(id<WebPolicyDecisionListener>)listener
    // get the url from the information dictionary:
    NSURL *url = [\[actionInformation objectForKey:@"WebActionElementKey"] objectForKey:@"WebElementLinkURL"];
    // log the url's scheme
    NSLog(@"absolute string is \[%@]", [url absoluteString]);
    // NSLog(@"relative string is \[%@]", [url relativeString]);
    // NSLog(@"fragment is \[%@]", [url fragment]);
    // NSLog(@"host is \[%@]", [url host]);
    // NSLog(@"parameter string is \[%@]", [url parameterString]);
    // NSLog(@"user is \[%@]", [url user]);
    // NSLog(@"password is [%@]", \[url password]);
    // NSLog(@"path is \[%@]", [url path]);
    // NSLog(@"relative path is \[%@]", [url relativePath]);
    // NSLog(@"port is \[%@]", [url port]);
    // NSLog(@"query is \[%@]", [url query]);
    // NSLog(@"resource specifier is \[%@]", [url resourceSpecifier]);
    // NSLog(@"scheme is \[%@]", [url scheme]);
    }</pre>
    As you can see, I've tried every component of the WebElementLinkURL - but without luck. The results mostly came back null - only absoluteString seemed useful (hence it's the only one not commented out). But even that didn't so far enough.
    For example, when clicking a link, absoluteString returns
    22/04/2009 09:58:00 Test[646] absolute string is [https://test.internal.com/#]
    Hovering over the same link in Safari, or clicking on it, returned https://test.internal.com/client/help
    The question, therefore, is how can I get my code to return the URL in the same manner that Safari does. The website I'm trying to view does contain a fair bit of Javascript - I don't know if this is relevant though.
    Methinks I am looking in the wrong place!

    Hi Jun,
    Before creating a customised framework page, copy the default framework
    page provided my SAP to your own namespace and make changes.
    Just open the copied page, set masthead to invisible ,this can be done
    for any other component that you want to hide on the framepage.Then
    make only the inner page visible, if that's what you want.
    Then create a url iview that points to this page and pass room details as
    parameters.This can be assigned to any role that you wish.
    <i>Pls reward points if helpful</i>

  • Problem while passing url's for URLRequest() class as parameter in Flash

    Hi all,
         I am calling java servlets from flash using the following code[below is a sample Flash code for calling a java servlet in Flash which I am using]:
    ...bla ...bla
    String url_String="http://localhost:8080/servlet/getViews";
    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url_String);
    ...bla ...bla
    In this case, the servlet is called/working fine only in my system where the flash application is deployed & not working when I execute the application in different system using the "IPAddress" of my system.
    So, What changes I need to make in above Flash code in order to call the same servlet successfully from my system and as well as from other systems?
    (OR)
    Is there any need to pass the servlet-url's relative instead of absolute?
    If so,
    How can we pass relative-path of url's in Flash? &&
    Can anyone explain me with an example?
    Atlast, Can anyone tell me how to change my above code to pass the url 'relative' rather than 'absolute'?
    If I pass the url relatively, does my issue gets resolved?
    If, Please, can anyone help me by giving solution to my problem... [Or] else, to either of my queries or both...
    Thanks in advance...
    I am waiting for your replies...

    Did you read the ActionScript 3.0 documentation I linked to in my last post?
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("XMLFile.xml");
    Example of using absolute URL:
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://localhost:8080/servlet/getViews");
    Example of using relative URL:
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("servlet/getViews");
    If the server port (8080) needs to be specified, you could declare a variable for the server URL and use it as a parameter.
    var serverURL:String = "http://localhost:8080/";
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(serverURL + "servlet/getView");

  • Making relative calls to jar files

    Hi,
    I want to access my help system from within a jar file using the jar protocol. The issue is that I don't want to enter a fixed path to my jar file. I want something relative like this -
    URL hsURL = HelpSet.findHelpSet(null, "jar:file://..\myjarfile.jar!/myfile.hs);

    I have the same problem.
    The Directory "..\myApp\help" contains the files

    It works fine but if I JARed the "help" Directory and change the URL to "jar:file://E:\\javaHelp\\myhelp.jar!/help/myhelp.hs" the file myhelp.hs could not be found.

  • URL region error when changing tabs

    G'day all,
    I've created a page in my app to have a url region in it but every time I access that page then go to another I get the dreaded /pls/otn/wwv_flow.accept was not found error.
    I've now tried in 3 environments:
    1. Oracle HTMLDB site - app 2780 page 5
    2. DB 9.2.0.4 Win2K HTMLDB 1.6.1
    3. DB 10g Linux RedHat EL 3.0 HTMLDB 1.6
    and get the same result on all of them.
    The URL I'm currently trying is very basic (http://www.google.com.au)
    Any ideas ???
    Greg

    Greg,
    URL regions work ok for pulling content from another site onto your HTML DB page. They don't work as well for situating that site's page within the FORM that is an integral part of each HTML DB page and having the "pulled" page operate as it would in an independent request. First, there are HTML issues that are not immediately solved having to do with relative vs. absolute URLs on the pulled page, where that page gets its images and script, the base HREF, etc. Second, there are limitations on the type of response returned by that page request: anything other than HTML will trip up the underlying use of utl_http.request. Third, forms that operate correctly in the foreign page when requested natively may not (often won't) work when embedded within the HTML DB standard page form.

  • How to add Friendly URLs in Weblogic Portal?

    Hi,
    We are developing a portal using Weblogic 10gR3. Right now the URL's that are getting formed are very long which includes the nfpb, nfls, pagelabel e.t.c. The requirement is to have a very user friendly url something like http://www.x.com/portal/<<pageLabel>>
    The Weblogic documentation mentions something about URL compression, however unable to apply it for dynamic URL's. We have URL's which are formed on the fly from the WLP Content Repository
    Is there some kind of servlet / filter provided within WLP. I read somewhere about an URLTransformationServlet. But there was no documentation on its usage. Can some one share a sample code snippet with me. That would be really really helpful, as we are having a slight time crunch here.
    Any kind of help on this will be deeply appreciated. Thanks

    need to change the URL
    http://hostname:port/ics_war/ics.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Tariff
    to
    http://hostname:port/ics_war/ics.portal/Tariff.

    Generic Note
    WLProxy configuration falls under the weblogic server product hence you will have to raise an SR with that product to get any suggestions.
    Before that I would suggest you play around with the parameter I have suggested and see how it is impacting the url and then if there is any specific area you are stuck on check with the WLS team.
    Like I mentioned earlier, I do not know if this will completely meet your business requirement, but something you can look into.

    Generic Note
    URLCompression servlet is the only option that weblogic portal provides out of the box to compress the URL of WLP. I understand this does not suite your requirement.
    The other option I can think of that can possibly help you achieve this is to configure any weblogic proxy plugin that you might be making use of, see the document
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/plugins/plugin_params.html#wp1143055 look for PathTrim, PathPrepend

    Hi,
    Even thogh after implementing the below changes,still we are not able to get the result. " nfpb parameter is still existing in URL ".
    Implementing URL Compression :
    To configure a webapp to use url compression, follow these steps:
    1. Define the compression servlet in web.xml; for example
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>UrlCompressionServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>com.bea.portlet.compression.UrlCompressionServlet
    </servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>defaultPage</param-name>
    <param-value>/index.jsp</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>errorPage</param-name>
    <param-value>/errors/error.jsp</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    2. Map the compression pattern; for example:
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>UrlCompressionServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>wlp.c</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    3. Add the token {url:compression} to the templates for which you want to apply compression.
    Please suggest on this ASAP.
