Related to report

The question is selection screen consists of some mandatory fields aong with other fields. mandatory fields are fiscal year,period,company code,Account no.,WBS element.i am populating these fields along with other fields in a field catalog. when i execute the program with the test variant its gives the list display. this which is displayed in the list is populated in a ztable(zfi_restatmt). when i again run the program with same test data and try to execute it i should get an error message saying "ztable already consist this data u cannot update it again". Message will be triggered only when all the 4 fields (Fiscal year, Period, Company code and WBS element match.
the test data is:
fiscal year   from(year)      to(year)   companycode   Account No
2007            2                     9              1000           23413
next time when i enter the same data , i should get an error.
if i give
2007            5                     7              1000           23413
For this test data i should get an error, how could is this possible.
could you please help me.

What are you trying to do in this report. Are you inserting data from internal table to Ztable or just want to display the data from ztable? Make it clear. I will try to help you.

Hi,
yes you can have multiple query in your report. So you have multiple groups in your data model. Then you must put multiple repeating frames in your layout in order to extract data from your queries, selecting the desired group in the source property of your repeating frame.

How to relate a report page to a tabular form?

Can't run sample appliation. When I run the appliation, login using "demo/#lower_case_workspace_name#", the browser comes with error message:

Getting "Save File" permission message related to Report Generation Toolkit

I started having this problem about a month ago. It does not affect the operation of my project but is a minor nuisance, but a nuisance none the less. I opened a couple of Excel Specific VIs. I did not nor did I attempt to make any changes, I was just curious as to their content (truth is I wanted to see how the active X controls were being used). Ever since then I get the attached messages when saving my project and have not been able to get rid of it. When OK is pressed, a Save As dialog box appears (see attached) pointing to the NI directory which contains the Excel VIs for the Report Generation Toolkit. I press cancel and am able to save my project VIs just fine, but I would like to get to the bottom of this problem.
I would not think that simply opening a VI would cause this behavior. I should also mention, it not only attempts to save the VIs I opened, but every RGT VI that is a part of my project, which is even stranger. I have not attempted a reinstall. I was hoping for something a little less drastic, and that won't prevent this from happening again, unless I can kill my curiousity that is. Is there a setting somewhere which I am missing? It did not work. In fact, it called out four bad VIs (see attached). But I think this is probably normal behavior. All the VIs in question are broken due to an unwired input on the bundle. The bundle is the only thing in these VIs. Could you please verify that this is the case. It said the mass compile was complete and I am assuming that it did compile the rest of the VIs, correct? Unfortunately I am still getting the same message. Do you have any other ideas? Anyone? Thanks again for your assistance.

Page item rendering location relative to report? (APEX 2.2.0)

Hi all,
What controls where the page items in a region containing a report will be rendered? I have two regions that (I thought) I set up identically, but one has the items above the report and the other below.
The only difference between them is that the one with the items above is on a non-zero page, whereas the one with the items below is on page zero.
(I cannot post my app to a public area as an example.)
Am I missing something?

I apologize if I was vague or confusing. It's been a long Friday and it is continuing to be a long Friday = ) Louis-Guillaume, I tried changing one of the regions, and something very odd happened! So here's exactly what I do:
I create a region in page 0, "My Page Zero Region". It is an SQL report region. I then add "Item One" and "Item Two" to that region. The items are in the same region as the report table. I put it at the "Page Template Body (3)" display point. I then get this:
My Page Zero Region
Item One : [             ] (this is an item.)
Item Two : [             ] (this is an item.)

---------------------------------The items are displayed above the table. I then switch the display point to "Page Template Body (2)". The region is then rendered differently.

Item Two : [             ] (this is an item.)It seems that APEX treats the entire region differently depending on which display point it is in. Is that the correct functionality, or should I investigate further?

I have scenario like this.
Example:
We have some products. Product: X was dealing by Sales Person "A" after some days Sales Person "A" replaced with Sales Person "B".
On this Qube, We have a report, it captures both Product and Sales Person. But, the problem with Sales Person.
They are asked us to change with NEW SALES PERSON.
What is time dependent Attributes, how it will work..?
How can i store both the Value in a cube from R/3 then, How can i show NEW SALES PERSON in a report.

I have some historical Data. A sales person S1 was from region 'A'. Now S1 is being replaced by a new sales person S2 for the same region A. So how we can store both data for region A ? What is the best approach for it ?
Answer:
Create region master data with time dependent attribute salesperson infoobject. All time dependent objects have valid from and valid to for every record

Hi,
Try to update the master data with new sales rep. Historical data will not change but the new records will map to the new sales rep, if the sales rep field is being pulled from master data.Check if the sales rep is being pulled from the sales order or from the master data. If you want the historical data also to be mapped to the new sales rep, than may be you have to go for reconstruction.
