In that case u need to write the code behind ur form and should go for creation of ard file and must take ur form thro addon installation process. these are xplained in SDK Help file & Tutorial.

Hi,
Once you install the screen painter in your B1 application (as any other addon, you need .ard and installer.exe files) you have a button giving you access to the Screen Painter help file. In there you will learn how to use the ScreenPainter.

First uninstall Screen Painter then open the file C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo
in notepad remove the lines related to screen painter (If there is any)

save it and try again to install the screen painter.
If that doesn't work go to this C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information directory and find find the screen painter installer and remove it.

Screen Painter Image Button cannot set relative path

Hi,
I am using screen painter to create a UI form and i put image into each button. The form can run properly in my PC due to the image path is under my local path. However, the button is gone when i install the UI form in other PC. When using button object in screen painter and it not allow me to set the relative path. Anyone can help??

Thanks for your reply. However, i did try to rename the .srf file to .xml file and change the path to the following
<specific image=".\test3.jpg" />
But the program didn't work. But if i change it to <specific image="c:\test3.jpg" />, give it the exact path then the program work again.

Hi John,
A Search help exit is something similar to a user exit. Every search help will have an option of attaching a search help exit under the definition tab( when you view the search help from se12).
For example take a look at the search help VMVA - you will notice a search help exit SD_F4_SHLP_EXIT_SUBSHLP_CHOOSE attached to it.
Basically the serah help exit which is nothing but a function module with a predefined interface which gets triggered before a f4 help is displayed. The exit is used to supress or do any other related modification required.
We have implemented many search help exits and the reason is that we have given a custom interface to our business partners to carry out some transaction on our SAP systems. Though we have given them access to our SAP system we also want to ensure that the business partner does not view any additional data in the system. We have controlled this via many ways like using z objects, using authorizations etc. Still once the user has authorizations to any transaction he or she can do a f4 help on any field and see the data which he should not be able to do. So we have implemented search help exits to supress the drop down only for the business partners. We control this based on the unique login id's we have given to them.
So in short it is used to modify the behaviour of F4 help, mostly used to supress the drop down.
It has to be defined in a specific format.

How to create dropwdown list box values and checkbox in screen painter.

Hi Experts,
I need to know the creation of dropdown list box values and the checkbox to use in screen painter.
I have 3 values to insert as:-
INR,USD,EUR
if user selects INR/USD/EUR, then it will store into the table field.
And also want to know the checkbox functioning in screen painter, i.e. what should we write in PBO/PAI.
I have found some sites to get knowledge, but didnot found anything that relates to my questions.
So please help me!

For dropdown list box in Screen create a input field and choose Drop down by index.
To populate the values write the logic in PBO as follows
TYPE-POOLS : VRM
DATA : field_id TYPE VRM_ID ,
            values TYPE VRM_VALUES,

Editor in screen Painter

hello friends,
i hv created text editor in screen painter. when i write some lines in this editor and click on save button. then this text saves temproraly in table. when click on display this text will sees in editor again. upto this it is ok.
but when i run this program again next time, and when i click again on display button i cant get that saved text again. why this happens?
if i want to save this text permenantly then wht's the procedure.
please help me guys.

no u can not save such long data into a table, the solution for this is to create the header-tdname related to the key fields in ur ztable.
like ur ztable has fields f1(key) f2 f3 f4...
now move the value of field f1(key) to header-tdname, so that it can be related to ur ztable field and u can get the same data when u try to retrieve some where else.

Problem with Folder created in Screen painter

I created six folder for UD screen with screen painter and i set pane level properties correctly. While running with screen painter we can see each and every item with respect to folder
But the problem is while loading this user defined form in SAP B1 items related with folder is not coming. (Not at all coming any item under any folder) if will run same screen in screen painter items correctly.

Hi Firoz,
You need to set a PaneLevel for each and every pane and that pane level is what you need to set as the From Pane and To Pane for the individual items within that corresponding pane.
Say, you have a pane with PaneLevel = 3, then, for all the items within that pane, you need to have the from and to pane as 3.

In Screen Painter there is only FormType and not appformnumber attribute and when I save they assume same value.
Which relation is there between this FormType and number of form that I see inside Sap Business One System Information when I run it?

For the Future Problem Facers:
I too faced the same problem and the below steps helped me.
Re: SFLIGHT is NOT defined for the current logical database.
You can check the completeness of the program installation by starting the program gneux.exe locally in the SAPGUI directory (for example, by double-clicking on the program name in the Explorer window).The Layout Editor is displayed with German texts and an empty drawing area for the pseudo screen EUSPDYND 0000.
If the installation is not complete, an error dialog box provides information regarding the cause of the error, for example, sometimes the DLL eumfcdll.dll is missing after reinstalling the SAPGUI. For example, the eumfcdll.dll DLL was sometimes missing after the SAPGUI was reinstalled.

F4_FILENAME in search help in screen painter

Hello gurus,
I want to design a screen in which the text input field is used to get file name. For that i need to enable file search in local folders and drives with f4 key press. I wish to use the functionality of function module 'F4_FILENAME" in screen painter. How can i do that?
I tried creating search help for RLGRAP structure. It compiles fine but gives the message 'No inout for selection'.

2. In se51, i created a screen for the program zprogram.
3. In layout, i took 2 buttons and one input/output field.
1st button for import and 2nd button for exit.
4.In flow logic-

To get Drop Drown Box on screen .
Follow these steps.

Go to T.Code SE51 and Select Laypout for the Screen.

Double click on the field for which u want Dropdown box.

Then U will see Name ,Text ,DROPDOWN.Click on that and select List Box or ListBox with key . Better to to select first one.

Define one variable in the TOP include with type STRING means Global variable.

For this case.. Create one table control. you can select one record and create record in the Z table by pressing button on Application toolbar..

Is it possible to display the standard function keys in screen painter

Hi ,
I design a screen in se51 where I use push buttons and input/output buttons and so on in the layout, here in the layout or in my final output screen(when i assign this screen to a transaction) I would like to display other standard keys, ie the function keys and application toolbar items. I would like to know whether there is a possibility to do this , if yes then how?
In a menu painter there is a possibility where I can customize the keys or I can use the standard keys by going to se41 extras->adjust template. Is there similar possibilities in the screen painter.
