Hi All,
If i create a track,it has Devlopement[say Techno_dev(0)] and Consolidation[say Techno_dev(1)] and in each Development and Consolidation, we can see CMS,CBS and DTR.
inturn CMS can has runtime systems developement, Test and Production.
I imported Techno_dev[0], did Sceanrio-3 till importing to test,ecample.orgAPPLICATIONNAJ~NWCG_C2005082915236.sca file i can see i n server D:/usr/sap/Jtrans.
1)w can tester can do testing of this sca, how to import this to NWDS?
if i see in NWDS inactiveDC's are the one which are under devlopment locally, where as active Dc's are the ones hich has been activated in DTR.
2)I din't imported Consolidation[say Techno_dev(1)] in to NWDS still same process what ever i did for Devlopement[say Techno_dev(0)] consolidation,assembly,test follows in both devlopement and Consolidation Approval tabstrp shows waiting for approval.i know Techno_dev(0) is sufficient for testing also.
3) As per Scenario-3 I have created one more track APPL trak if we see track connections tabstrip, my source track is Techno track while the trget is Appl.APPL trak used for further development on the build creted by techno track, but i am not seeing any sca in this APPL track, am i missing any step.
The entire process of Scenario-3 is not cleared

I have tried in my Word 2007 with Track Changes and I cannot reproduce the issue.
Since you also tried in other files and PCs, so try to open the file in safe mode to check the issue.

Word blacks out text; possibly related to Track Changes feature

(also posted to Microsoft Answers forum, but I suspect that this is going to need Pro assistance!)
I was editing a 150+ page document in Word 2007 (on Windows 7 PC with all updates applied). I'd already been working with the document for several hours when suddenly large chunks of the document were blacked out. Paging up or down eliminated the problem
momentarily, but further edits caused it to happen over and over again. Some squiggly underlines show through the black, but little else. We realized that it was happening when I had Track Changes on and displayed the changes in balloons rather than inline;
when I moved the mouse into the area where the balloons were displayed, that's when the text was blacked out.
We figured that the document was corrupted. However, this is also happening now with another document that's much shorter and far cleaner than the first one. The problem also occurs on PCs other than mine. I opened a clean template, pasted the
unformatted text from the source document into the clean template, and the problem persists in the new doc, so I don't think it's a problem with the documents -- or at least not solely.
We tried this on a newer PC with a ramped-up video card and got the same results. It has not happened (near as we can tell) with Track Changes turned off, but I must track the changes I make so working with TC off isn't an option.
Before anyone asks, I cannot provide a copy of any of the documents because they are strictly confidential.

Error message while trying to import a track of a CD...."track cannot be...

imported because it does not appear to be a valid exported file". This relates to track 09cda and always seems to be with track 09. What the heck is up with this?
Anyone got experience with this and, better yet, a solution?

No answers, but I've got exactly the same problem - except on mine it happens with Track 3 and Track 9.

Internal Orders - Alliance Partners tracking costs

Hi
The questions relate to tracking costs whcih are significant in detail for an Alliance Partner. We are in the latter stages of implemenatation of SAP All in One -
1. In the legacy system intelligence is built into the GL account code allowing us one character in the GL code to be allocated to the Alliance Partners costs, a different letter for the different Alliance Partners. We could therefore analyse a Depts cost separating the total cost, then the Alliance Costs, then provididing the non Alliance costs, we could do this for a Dept / Cost Centre and also analyse per the GL account say "hire costs" within the Cost Centre all via Pivot Tables etc
We accrue the costs due to timing of costs being received ie in middle of month end process because of significance wait for Alliance Partners estimate and post to a clearing GL account via General Journal. We do not do a detailed PO with all the expense lines as PO would be huge and the expense lines are not fully known when PO is created. When the actual PO is received, the costs are offset against the clearing account, if accrual and PO receipt and invoice agree then clearing account is nil. The accrual is not reversed.
The suggestion per SAP consultants is to create an Internal Order for each Cost Centre for the different Alliance Partners we expect Costs. I had thought this was a reasonable solution but the issues I see are
A. It provides total costs for the Cost Centre, total Costs for the Alliance Partner for each Cost Centre but does not provide total non Alliance Costs without dumping the data into pivot tables and analysing.
B. It does not provide analysis of the Alliance Partner costs v non Alliance Partner costs by GL
I know if we used the full functionality of MM ie raise a PO etc with detail GL lines would allow reporting via MM but due to timing of receipt of costs and the number of GL accounts it is currently not parctical / political to receipt a detailed PO.

How do I obtain a report which shows Actual + Plan
1. Total Cost Centre Cost with GL etc.
2. The relevant Internal Order Costs for the Alliance Partner with GL etc.
3. Non Alliance Partner costs
Is this a report I can obtain directly from SAP or will I have to download the two separate reports from SAP to analyse the Alliance Partner costs v Non Alliance Partner costs by Cost Centre and GL.
Sorry for being such a dummy but we have yet to be shown all the reports, we are designing a system without the benefit of the relevant training on SAP !!!

Multi-Timbral track automation with VIRUS TI

Yeah that's a known problem with some 3rd party plugins. Assign the different sounds to different Outputs/Auxes instead, and write your Automation into the Auxes.

ITunes 11 - how can I change the genre of a movie now?

So I've had iTunes 11 for about 3 hours now and so far it *****. One of my main problems is I can't find how I can change the genre of a movie anymore. I used to do this from Get Info so I could organise all my movies in to my own genres that make sense to me which helps me find what I want to watch when using Apple TV.
It will still let me do that for movies I bought before I "upgraded" to 11 but for the movies I bought this evening, after upgrading, the genre drop down is locked down.
Am I just looking in the wrong place? Or have Apple somehow got the idea that pointlessly preventing your customers from organising their content in their own way is somehow an improvement and I'm stuck with their nonsensical genre classifications?
Same thing goes for movie titles now I think of it - I've edited movie titles after purchase (e.g. I've put HP1 in front of the title of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and HP2 in front of Chamber of Secrets) so that series list in watching order, rather than alphabetical order, on my Apple TV. It's not letting me do that from Get Info either
Please someone tell me I'm just doing it wrong - I don't think I've the patience to jump through the hoops necessary to get 10.7 back!

I had the same bug in songs. It was directly related to tracks purchased in the iTunes store, they wouldn't allow any changes, it was all grayed out.
Here's how I got around it. When I selected more than one item and any other item was not from the iTunes store it would allow me to Get Info and change everything with no problems.
My suggestion is that if you need to, add in a movie from your hard drive (anything at all, it will be a dummy placeholder) that you can you use to select along with the one you need to change. Use command click to select non-contiguous files (even works in different genres), then get info (or command i) and then change your info. You can keep using the same dummy file for as long as you need to to fix the files with incorrect info, then delete it when done.

When using just Apple TV, how can I change the Genre of a movie?

It's using iCloud and some of the movie genre's make no sense. For example, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is listed as Horror, but Elvira's Haunted Hills is showing as Comedy.
I do realize that Elvira Movies are generally listed as Comedy/Horror on IMDB, and that's fine. However I'd prefer to have these movies listed together properly when looking at movies by Genre.
Additionally, The Lost Boys is listed as a Comedy where as it really should be a horror film. It's humor is secondary after all.
Is there a way for me to change, individually, my movies genre? I don't care if it affects anyone else or not, it just doesn't help me to have them so disjointed. This is only using Apple TV and the movies that stream directly from iTunes central database, not anything located on my personal devices (I can change those just fine locally and they will show up correctly if I just look at it via a computer connection.

Can I move Time Capsule hard drive to an external enclosure for faster restore (or initial back-up)?

I upgraded my Time Capsule with a 4TB hard drive. I just backed up 500GB of data from a MacBook Pro with Time Machine and it took almost an entire day over a wired gigabit connection. The next MacBook Pro I need to back up has more than 2TB of data, so I'm anticipating that the process will take nearly four days. The slow speed of the Time Capsule leaves me with two questions...
1. If I ever need to restore my entire system from the Time Capsule, can I remove the drive from the Time Capsule, install it in an external hard drive enclosure and restore from that as it will be a much faster USB 3.0 connection than through the Time Capsule itself?
2. To save the time of waiting four days for the initial Time Machine back-up, can I remove the drive from the Time Capsule, install it in an external enclosure to do the first back-up and then put it back in the Time Capsule for future back-ups?

The answer to this is no.. TM backup is done differently on a local drive .. cf a network drive. The network drive must have the backup inside a sparsebundle.. you can read the backup locally and it is vaguely possible to backup files from local to sparsebundle but you are still going to find TM is pretty finicky if it finds you tampered with its internals.
I agree with Kappy .. if you want to use local backups just use USB3 drive.. it is a bit unfair to compare.. as USB3 is 5Gbps connection whilst ethernet is only 1Gbps.. you might also find the speed in the backup is limited by sheer mechanical drive performance.. figures are always quoted for single large files but when you copy heaps of small files.. a mechanical drive takes a lot of time writing file allocations.. even if the actual file write is short.. it takes a long time relative to track after track of large file copying.
Let me add a few things.. 500GB disk in the MBP is not the quickest.. they are usually the slow 5400rpm drives.. unless you replaced it.
Our experience of TC suggests a speed of around 50GB/hr average doing backups.. but it is essential that you turn off wireless.. otherwise you will slow it down.. It is also important IPv6 is set correctly to link-local only and you cannot trust auto to get that right.. you need to set it.
If you still cannot achieve average speed of around 50GB/hr something is wrong.. either you are not getting full gigabit or something is slow.. test with the single large file eg 1GB over ethernet and see.. you should manage speed of around 50MBytes/sec.. (it can vary from 30-60 however... ).
It can take a long long time to do 2TB.. if that is all internal then perhaps look at using TM for the boot drive only.. you surely have it partitioned.. or multiple disks.. and use Carbon Copy Cloner for the other partitions.. it is not that it will go any faster.. but that you can separate out the tasks easier.

Javascript block through javascript.enabled false not working as expected in newer versions, any actual way?

Since a few versions, around 24.0 or earlier, when you toggle javascript.enabled from true to false to block javascript, doesn't work after load a page.
Further details:
1.- load a page with javascript enabled
2.- toggle javascript preference to block javascript (javascript.enabled from true to false)
3.- if you interact with javascript elements = they still work
This wasn't this way in earlier versions.

I find that how it works now, in the latest versions, it is a VERY HUGE SECURITY ISSUE as javascript is never actually blocked when the preference is toggled and AJAX (httpXMLrequest through javascript) still works so the possibilities of lost of privacy inreases, as for example, mouse tracking and send it to the server, not only as the example scripts I posted above.
The question is, is there anyway to really block javascript in the latests versions or should I report this as a bug?

I know about noscript and I don't like it. I prefer to do manually (those measures and more). What bothered me is that even toggle the preference, what in the past did the job of stopping the execution of scripts, now doesn't. In about version 24 it was only happening to event listeners not being blocked (used nowadays for dynamic events assignments). Now is with every javascript code.
About the tracking methods, I'm aware of HTTP tracking without any need of javascript. Even a simple "knock knock" on any kind of server leaves a trace.
I was just pointing that this preference stopping doing its job (stopping scripts executions) has the worst sceneario in a security way with XMLHttpRequest calls.
But one of the things that bothers me too, and it is not related to tracking, is that, in humble machines as mine, some javascript codes make drop whole performance and the preference toggle now does nothing, so the script keeps running without being able of doing anything and sometimes you don't have the option to load a page without javascript because you need some feature of that page that requires javascript what becomes "all or nothing".

Links sometimes not working using JPT

I have developed a JSF application using the Java Portlet Tools. Everything seems to work fine most of the time, but ocassionally I will click on a link, an hourglass will be displayed but nothing ever happens. I'll refresh the page, navigate to the same link, click it again and it will work just fine. I've tried putting log messages in all the java code that I think should be getting executed and these log messages never get generated. It's almost like the portal just stops communicating with my application. Related to this, often I will click on a "Submit" button after changing a form and the portal page will refresh with my portlet completely empty. None of the submit code was ever executed. I'm running ALUI portal version 6.0. The java app is on a WebLogic 8.1 server. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? - Thanks, Barry

I have used ptspy to send data to the support staff at BEA, but I have been unsuccessful at using it for my own debugging. It just seems to send back an overwhelming amount of data and I haven't found a good resource for knowing how to filter the results to find what I need. If someone knows of a good guide for this, especially specifically how it would relate to tracking problems with a JSF/JPT portlet, I would greatly appreciate it.

All songs of one genre have half filled stars - but they have NO album tag at all

All my songs of the genre "Techno Radio" which all have the Interpret "Radio Mitschnitt" have half filled stars if they did not receive a rating yet.
They do NOT have an album tag at all....
I checked the tags with the program "mp3 tag" which shows all kinds of tags you can imagine and are not shown by music players: according to "mp3 tag" the songs only have the visible mp3 tags which you can see in the image above.
The files are normal mp3 files, recorded with audacity+lame.

The hollow stars are autoratings generated because the tracks are related to tracks that have been rated. If you rate an album as 3 stars all unrated tracks get a 3 star autorated track rating. If you rate one track from an album as 2 stars, and another as 4, leave the rest undated, the album gets autorated to 3 stars (the average of all manually rated tracks.
iTunes generates these autoratings on the fly. To clear them use my scripts ClearAlbumAutoRating and/or ClearTrackAutoRating which sets manual values of 1%.

Activity Monitor Question

If there was a book titled "Activity Monitor for Dummies," I'd buy it. My question is in reference to the Network activity mode -- when I'm monitoring network activity, I'm seeing a modest amount of packet activity being transmitted and received by my computer. Is this activity related to tracking operations being done by a third party? In my innocent little world, I would expect to see zero bytes comming out of my 'puter when I'm not using it to communicate with the web. Can someone please explain.

Possible, but very unlikely. Your computer routinely communicates with your router and other computers on your LAN. Even if you didn't have a router at all, your computer would constantly be attempting to find a network connection. Macs are relentless about that.
If you doubt this, simply disconnect your router from the outside world. You will still see some activity. Only if you disable all network connections in System Preferences > Network will you see no communication at all.

BAM APIs and TPE in BizTalk

Hi - i have been assigned work related to tracking data using BAM (its like Purchase Order, Sending/receiving Invoice, for Property related work)
I know TPE is used to track only at Ports level which is not always helpful and if there is looping involved it doesnt work.
BAM APIs is better way to approach as it can be customisable as per requirement.
Is there any real good detailed example of showing using BAM for tracking # of Received files, # of loop records, tracking within Orchestration, Sent delivery , and lot other stuff.
Please let me know.

Microphone and camera support roadmap?

Hi,
I've been working on a design project at my university and we'd love to use Java FX.
However, we need microphone support, and preferably camera as well.
I know it's not supported right now, but will this be supported in the future?

It is scheduled for Lombard with the initial Java 8/JavaFX 8 release (which has general availability in September, 2013).
I don't think there have been no check-ins related to it on the JavaFX 8 branch, so (IMO) there is high probability that the feature will be cut from the JavaFX 8 branch.
In the meantime there is a sample open source project which integrates JavaFX and the LTI-Civil video capture library, which you could try if you wished:

Links sometimes resolved, sometimes not

I've been doing a conversion of some pages on a site from one
dwt to another. I'm doing it a bit manually since there is some
html cleanup I'm also doing at the same time.
I was looking at the new pages trying to track down a problem
I was having with a corrupt jpeg message when I found that some of
the pages using the new dwt had left some of the links resolved to
the full C-drive pathway while others were as I expected them.
