RELATED TO TRANSACTION IVIEWS

where system objects related to ess and mss are stored in enterpriseportal?
HOW WE  WILL DISABLE THE BUTTONS  ACTION PRESENT IN FORM16 WHICH IS CALLED AS TRANSACTION IVIEW INTO PORTAL?

Hi Phani,
If you want to see the system objects you need System Administrator Role.
System Object - using this some of the applications connect to the backend(Example: R/3).
IF you want to see the system objects open the System Administrator --> Portal content you can find the system objects.
Secong question is not clear. Please give us brief description.
If it is helpful give me some points.
Kind Regards,
Phanikumar.

  • How to hide the menu bar from a Transaction iView (SAP GUI for HTML).

    Hello all,
I have created a simple SAP Transaction iView of type SAP GUI for HTML.  This iView has the Menu bar that has the buttons: Menu, Back, Cancel, and System.  My requirement is, I dont want to see the menu bar that has these buttons.  How do I go about it?  Please advice.
Note:  My iView is a SAP Transaction iView and not IAC service related iView.
    Thanks
    Vicky R.

You'll want to set the parameter ~webgui_simple_toolbar in your webgui service.
It is a binary parameter with the following values/options:
0  : Hiding the page header completely (not recommended)
    1  : Standard setting
This is the recommended standard setting in which the title and the menu bar below it with the [Exit] and [Help] button and the application buttons are displayed.
2  : Displaying the title line
4  : Displaying the buttons [Exit] and [Help]
8  : Displaying the active system buttons on the screen ([Back] and [Cancel])
16  : Displaying the system menu
32  : Displaying the application buttons
128 : Deactivating the information block in the status bar (new)

  • Transaction iView - SAP GUI for HTML - Problem while hiding menu bar

    Hello all,
I am trying to hide the OKcode field and the Menu button in a Transaction iView of type SAP GUI for HTML. I am following the SAP note 1010519. However, nothing seems to change, even after adding the parameter ~webgui_simple_toolbar = 0 or any other value.
    I added the parameter to the service: default_host ->sap -> bc -> gui ->sap -> its -><b>webgui</b>
After going through few posts relating to this issue, I figured out that passing application parameters would not work. Also, using IAC is not an option for me.
Can someone help? How can I hide the OKCode field and Menu bar?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Reena

    Hello Reena,
    Maintaining the parameter
    ~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE   EWT
will solve your problem. You can also create an IAC iview. Here is a document for the same.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/ep/_d-f/Displaying%20SAP%20Transaction%20as%20Internet%20Application%20in%20Portal.pdf">How to diplay a transaction as IAC iview</a>
    Also remove the parameter ~noheaderOkCode.
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem creating transactional iview for BW system

    Hi gurus
We are facing one problem creating a transactional iview for a BW 3.5 system . We wanto to call transaction SU01 in our BW system using an iview. When we use SAP for html, we have all the menu on the iview , I mean the same result as if we use smen, not SU01.

Adding more information. We have another WAS 6.40 server with different Module(we have RM and XRPM , not BW) and we are having the same problems. I am wondering if its related with some special config or activation
Maybe  I´ve forgot some service activation in SICF? I´m able to reach the SMEN, but not the SU01
or I´m missing some config elsewhere?

  • EP content transport : Transaction Iviews not coming up....All others ok

    Dear all
We have made a transport package to move content from dev to QA. All the iviews, roles, worksets are coming up fine in the QA server but for some strange reason, transaction Iviews are not coming up and an "yellow icon" indicating "link not available" is coming up .
while transporting no errors were thrown and it showed zero errors.
Kindly let me know if any one encountered such a error during transport.
    Regards

The related template on which the transaction iview was based was not present. Once corrected everything went fine

  • Transaction iView Theme

    Hi
I have publinshed a SAP Transactional iView in the Portal as a SAP Transaction HTML iView ..
SAP ECC 6.0, SAP EP 7.0
This works fine but the only issue is that it displays with the default SAP Theme .. Is it possible that this transactional iView takes on the default theme in the Portal which is a custom developed theme ?
    Thanks
    Damien ..

Check the discussion in below thread, when you are trying to display content from outside outside your portal, it will have its own look and feel, for eg.say in url iViews,
    /message/830882#830882 [original link is broken]
Not very sure if it applies Transaction iViews as well.
For webdynpro applications however, you can make them theme specific, you will get related documents on SDN search. This one for eg: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3ea0d790-0201-0010-80b8-b680496a3838

    GLM,
I tried creating Quicklink and it would'nt work.
All I did a created a Transaaction IVIEW ZTEST and went to QUICKLINK option of that IVIEW and gave it ia MYQUICKLINK.
Our portal shows up with URL http://abc-dev.iofficexxxx-co.net:50000/irj/portal
So i did a append by adding '/' and Quicklink name( MYQUICKLINK)
    like below  **http://abc-dev.iofficexxxx-co.net:50000/irj/portal/MYQUICKLINK**
It just gets Universal work list ...which is intial pagae in porta.
    What could be the issue?
    Also,
I tried with URL from content admin and showed up.. like this but i am worried on preview in the URL do you think it is right approach to get URL because i will be moveing it QA and do you think after 50000/irj/ part will remain same?

  • EP6 Transaction iView Shortcut... need a little help from my friends

    Hi All,
I've noticed an issue regarding Workplace compatibility mode when launching SAPGUI for Windows from a Transaction iView.  By default Workplace compatibility is set to "true", however, we need this to be "false".
If I save the shortcut file generated by the portal and open in a text editor I can see this:
    [Configuration]
    Workplace=true
If I change this on my desktop to "false" and start SAPGUI it works as expected.
Anyone have any ideas how to set this property from the portal?
A fix is described for EP5 in SAP Note # 631555 but I'm finding nothing on EP6.
    Help is always greatly appreciated!!
    -Adam

    Hi Adam,
    Request your inputs please.
There is a portal iview having link to connect R/3 system (EP 6 to R/3 4.6C). When the user clicks the link in the iview, before the R/3 system opens, it gives a error saying
<b>"Not all data for SAP GUI shortcut is available. System ID is unknown, Client is unknown, Enter the missing data"</b>If I click OK, a new window opens saying <b>"New SAPGUI shortcut</b>"
In that window it is asking for descrption, SID, SAPGUI parameter, etc...
I checked the SAP system created in the portal and all the parameters including the Application host, port, system aliases, etc are fine and I can open the SAP window from the support desk.
In the iview also I checked all the settings are absolutely fine.
The GUI type is WINGUI and the How to Start SAPGUI for windows I have given SSF only.
Still I am not sure what is missing. If I change the SSF to “auto” the transaction opens in a new browser.
The issue is this..... EP 6.0, created a System for Dev R/3 (4.6C) and given all the required information for all possible property category like SAP client, SID, system #, port, etc, etc. system type is SAP_R3. User management, Logon method is SAPLOGONTICKETS and user mapping type is "admin, user".
No ITS information is given since we only open the session_manager of R/3 thru the iView.
This opens the R/3 most of the times. But sometimes the user gets the error.
If I use “auto” instead of SSF the SAP transaction is opening within the iview portal window itself. But earlier it used to open as a typical separate SAP R/3 window.
So I also changed the Drag&relate option to open in a new portal window. Now it is opening in a new window, but unlike the earlier one, the SAP windows is inside a browser window. So the create new session button and all are not active. Moreover the client is cruel enough and very particular to say they want it to open as an individual SAP R/3 window and not inside a browser.
I tried to follow note 631555, but as per that I am not able to find the SAPApplication.Transaction iveiw.
The error does not occur always and in all the systems. Thanks in advance for any help.
    Regards,
    P. Kumaravel.

  • Problem with SAP Transaction iView after Patch 34 install

    Hi All,
We're running EP6SP2 on AIX/Oracle and have currently upgraded from PL5 to PL34.
The problem we are now having is as follows:
We have an SAP Transaction iView that is using the 'Auto' method for the 'Technique to start SAPGUI for Windows' and the 'WinGui' as the 'SAP GUI Type'.
Now when we click on the iView we are getting the IE popup that asks us if we want to Save, Open, or Cancel the file open for tx.ssd
Prior to the patch upgrade we did not have this issue.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Robin.

    Hi Praveen,
    Thanks for the quick response.
I have seen those notes already and unfortunately they don't solve this specific problem.  These will solve the problem for the SSD method (.sap file) of starting the SAPGUI for Windows but not for the SSF method (.ssf file).
The main issue is that before the install of the Patch we did not get the popup, everything worked fine.  It doesn't make sense why we would have to change our IE settings now to get it to work properly.  It should work the same as before the patch.
Plus, I don't want to have to do an SMS push to all the PC's here to fix a problem with a Patch upgrade.
I have tried to add the .ssd and .sap types to the Mime section for the http service in the Admin tool but this hasn't fixed the problem either.
Also, I found that in Patch 31 SAP has made a change to the way the SAP GUI for windows starts.  After some searching I found that in the file WinGuiRenderLayer.properties under
the 'com.sap.appintegrator.sap/property/Transaction/' folder I see that it has some entries in it that look like they relate to the above mentioned fix for Patch 31. The lines in particular are:
    - # postfix for roundtrip URL - should help IE to detect the mime-type
    - SSF_URL_Postfix = /tx.sap
    - SSD_URL_Postfix = /tx.ssd
These lines were not in this file prior to implementing the patch and I believe that this may be causing the problem.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Robin

  • Does each SAP transaction iview create a log on to the backend ECC?

    Hi,
If I put multiple SAP transaction iviews in a role, each pointing to a different SAP transaction in the same backend system, does the launch of each iview create a new logon in the backend system when using SAP logon tickets?  If so, is it possible to make it only launch a new session if one logon has already been created?
    Regards
    Cindy

    Hello Cindy,
launching of diffrent Transactio Iview form same back end is quite similar as loged in to backend with Proper credentials and opening diffrent transaction's by useing
    /oxx(Transaction Name)
Hope it will add to ur knowladge.

  • Application Parameters not working in the Transactional iViews

We had created transactional iViews for calling the standard SAP Transaction: IQS8 and IQS9. Here the issue is that we would like to populate the default screens for these 2 transactions with different set of default values.
So, we created variants and sending them as an application parameter to these trasnactional iViews. When we call this iView it is displaying these default values as per the variant which we are sending. But when executing that transaction, it seems those application parameters that we send through the iView are not being used to call that transaction.
How to enforce the transaction to make it use the application parameters as default values, does any one has any idea?
Please let me know if any one of you have a solution for this.

    Hi Venkat,
You might want to try the following approach:
1- Create a new transaction code in your SAP system (using transaction SE93 - maintain transaction) which would be a transaction variant of the transaction you want to call with a specific variant
2- Create a 'SAP transaction' iview that points to the new transaction code you created (SAP information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">here</a>)
    Hope this helps.

  • External Facing Portal with access to ITS via Transaction Iview

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to make the portal available externally for third party vendors to access ECC transactions.  We have configured a URL with a reverse proxy to the portal server.  Portal loads fine from outside the network, but when launching a transaction I-view, a page cannot be displayed error comes up in IE-8 and Chrome says it cannot access the ECC server.
I've searched the forums and come up with a couple of tips, but that brings on a couple more questions.
It seems you can direct traffic from external URL to portal server:port, but when launching an transaction I-view, it needs to be redirected again to the ECC server:port/sap/bc/gui* (or something like that for SICF GUI service).  Question here is, once this redirect happens, technically the ECC box is now available externally vs. only the portal?  Is this recommended?
Other option I've found is to try and use IAC I-views instead.  Is this really much different than a transaction i-view in how portal handles the opening Iframe?  Does it allow backend connectios without rerouting internet traffic to the backend server?
Are they any other options to make this type of setup work for external facing portals using transaction iviews to access ITS?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
Did you able to resolve the issue. We have installed Web Dispatcher through we are able to call the EP but when calling the transaction iViews page not found error pops up, since from EP server request to ECC goes via the URL http://<ecchost.domain>.:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=100.
    Thanks

  • How to stop HTTP Security warning message in transactional iview

When I am trying to access ECC through transactional iview then I am getting HTTP security warning message i.e. This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?
I think it is because portal is accessable using HTTPS protocol and when we access ECC then it uses HTTP Protocol.
    Pl help to resolve.

    Hi AshuGrover_in,
    First, welcome on SDN!
    > I think it is because portal is accessable using HTTPS protocol and when we access ECC then it uses HTTP Protocol.
    > Pl help to resolve.
This might very well be the root cause of the issue, and if it is, you know the resolution - make all systems accessible via https.
Anyhow, to examine the exact cause creating this message you could use tools like HttpWatch or something similar and record the client accesses to the server. If you originally have a GET to a https address, the first http request caused by the original request will throw this message.
Theoretically, on client side, you can switch off this message: Search for "switch off http https warning" on google and you will get all possible instructions for the different clients. Anyhow, a clean landscape design with complete https connections is the aim you should have.
    Hope it helps

  • Open Portal Transaction iView in new window *without* Browser window

    Hello,
Currently i am testing to use the single-sign-on functionality of the portal to launch the SAP GUI for Windows.
I created some Transaction iViews and they work perfectly without having to log in.
To use the full GUI size of the SAPGUI in the iView, i configured it to open up in a seperate window. This also works perfectly, but when i let a colleague test the setup, i realized that he has some additional toolbars, which in return decreased the usable space in the browser window for the SAP GUI.
    Now my question is:
How can i configure the Transaction iView to open up the given transaction in the SAP GUI, but without the surrounding Browser?
    Is this even possible?
I test this because my comany is searching for a solution to use SSO with the SAP GUI. Since we have the portal we test if we could use it to realize this requirement without generating extra costs.

    Hi Armin,
for iView (page) you probably set the property 'Launch in New Window' to value Display in Separate Window. To tune up the other otions you have the possibility to set the property Window Features, value should contain toolbar=no. These features will be used when Javascript opens up your window - you can apply any option coomonly documented. IMHO for your demands the best option is fullscreen=yes, toolbar=no - you get really the maximum possible size.

    Pavol
