My problem is that if open a query on portal then reports open according to dates suppose i have two query and bind them with single report but and i want that if i ll give past date then it ll show first report anf if i give current or future date then it ll show second report.
IF it possible then how can i do this.

Using WAD 3.x

Hello,
I want to use at a current BW 3.X system the WAD for creating web templates. Now I have the following problem that if I want execute the web template only a site with chineese signs is showing on the screen. If I use fro creating the wizard I can see the right result e.g. ad hoc query designer as easy exampkle.
I have done a comparison of URL's and I have also took a look into the SAP notes for creating the URL's. But I can't find any advises why this strange thing is the current situation.
Perhaps someane as a advise for me? This will be great.

The problem is with HTML coding generated charset=unicode .you have to change charset = UTF-8 , Every time you open the edit of Web Template you have to repeat this Step. I feel there is no Solution other than this. This is a Windows relate error any way not related to WAD. For More information refer the SAP Note 1390941.

I have few questions related to WAD.
1). How can we change the row size?
2). How can we change the Fonts and color of the 0Analyzer template output?

If you created a table then select table and right click and give edit table
Width and Height option is given,change it according to requirements.
Regarding fonts and color,i need some more details?
whether you given any heading using html code to your web template?

No Infoarea in WAD

Hello Every One,
We have some web templates developed in WAD. When I try to open any web template from WAD, there is no Infoarea tab. Rest all like History, Favourites, Roles etc are there. Accidentally , I have deleted some web templates from History tab.
Now I am unable to recall those from History. But there is no Infoarea tab also to recover. How can I see my Web templates again either in History or Infoarea tabs?

unfoutunately the Web templates and workbooks don't come under any info area as they might consist of many queries as data providers from different info providers which inturn can be based on different info areas....
sp you can either check for templates either in metada repository or
in se 16 search in following tables related to WAD:
Web templates tables:
RSZWOBJ Storage of the Web Objects
RSZWOBJTXT Texts for Templates/Items/Views
RSZWOBJXREF Structure of the BW Objects in a Template
RSZWTEMPLATE Header Table for BW HTML Templates

Error in Web application designer in BI7.0

Hi,
If we try to create the template and save, it is showing the following error.
JAVA COMMUNICATION ERROR RFC_DESTINATION IS NOT CONFIGURED.
we tried some RFC connections in the backend . It is showing BI metadata for BSM is outdated. I checked the necessary settings according to note :888687.
But we are able to check the RFC connection between ABAP and portal.
But we are getting the same error. While saving the template which created. it showing the error and i am not able to save the template
Please help in this issue..

IN Visual Admin check the JCo RFC Provider is properly configured with backend username.
Chk all the JCo related to BI are working properly either with SSO or User mapping
Chk in Table RSPOR_T_PORTAL the portal URL is proper or not
(transaction code SM30).
2. Enter RSPOR_T_PORTAL as the table.
3. Choose Maintain.
4. Choose New Entries to create a new entry.
5. Maintain the connected portal:
RFC destination: <RFC_DESTINATION>
System name: <SYSTEMALIAS>
Default: <DEFAULT>
Portal URL prefix: <PORTAL_URL_PREFIX>, for example, http://<portalserver><domain>:<port>
Prefix of RM for BW Metadata: <KM_RM_METADATA_PREFIX>, for example, /bw_metadata
KM service URL: <blank>
Referesh the MetaData Service in BI Web Application Designer under settings try to connect you SAPRFC.ini file set enviroment variables for the same.

Cannot Publish Web Template in SAP EP

I have created and save a web template using the Web Application Designer but cannot publish it in Enterprise Portal 6.0.
In an attempt to publish it, I see a pop up window ``wdttree``, a message ``Bad Index`` and an OK button. Clicking the OK shuts down the WAD.

I am not too sure about the specific errors which you are getting, But then for WAD running and execution, we can check for the IGS Server connectivity.
It can be checked with Basis Folks. Cause we also had several problems related to WAD and eventually it all turned out to be a Problem with the connectivity to the IGS Server.
igs server is the graphics server which is maintained for all the graphics related to WAD.

Cannot "Publish" a Purchased Web Template

Hi,
I am using a trial of CS3, and when i completed some demo's i
could publish without a problem, creating SWF's of the online
tutorials.
I purchased a Flash Web Template and happily modiied it in
flash so the FLA is different, but when I attempt to publish it the
task bar appears as normal , looks like its doing something, but it
doesn't. No SWF is created.
Any ideas why I can't publish my modified template?

How to change & manage different ports in a mixed web environment (BSP/WAD)

our scenario is the following:
We constructed a mixed environment web application, consisting out of a BSP application and WAD web templates. Unfortunately the url of web templates and the bsp-application differs - meaning the server is the same, but the port is different. That's why it is not easy to link the application each other, because for transportation reasons, we would like to have relative url paths.
After searching the SDN and reading several help files, we found out, that the port of the BSP can be changed by adding an entry to the HTTPURLLOC table.

We managed to do that and in addition we created a BEX role for our BSP application. But with the new port the BSP does not appear in the browser window. So we still didn't fulfil our requirement to call the BSP in a include item of the WAD without passing the complete URL server:port/sap/bsp/...
Question: How can we link the BSP out of the WAD environment, respectively is it possible to call the BSP with the same port, being used by the web templates...?

thank you for your comments... meanwhile we just solved the problem by appliying method two mentioned above. Therefore we created a Customer web item class as denoted in [Creating an ABAP Class for the Custom Extension Web Item|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/a1c1237d753ca2e10000000a42189b/content.htm].
In the Initialize method I constructed the IFrame HTML-Code:
DATA: serverURL TYPE STRING.
DATA: serverPort TYPE STRING.
DATA: bspName TYPE STRING.
DATA: iFrameURL TYPE STRING.
* Fetch the BSP port from internal table
SELECT SINGLE VALUE FROM it_table.
* Create iFrame URL
serverURL = 'https://www.sap.com'.
bspName = 'myBSP'.
CONCATENATE serverURL ':' serverPort '/' bspName INTO iFrameURL.
* Create the iFrame Tag
CLEAR generatedHTML.
generatedHTML = '<iframe src="%IFRAMEURL%" valign="top" width="100%"/>'.
REPLACE '%IFRAMEURL%' IN generatedHTML WITH iFrameURL.
In the execute the code is parsed with the method:

Displaying the Values of Varaibles in the WAD 7.0

I have created a query Q1 with Restricted Key figures. In the KF's I have a strcuture as : Col 1 = Current period, Col 2 = Prev period, Col 3 = YTD to Period, Col 4 = YTD to previous period, Col 5 = last year YTD to period, Col 6 = dummy. However, I have used 0I_FPER in Q1 Col6 only. For the other cols in Q1 I have created two user exit Varaibles ZPER1 and ZYTD1 to calculate the period intervals using the DATE TO from 0I_FPER. I have used these variables in the respective restrcited key figures.
I also have another query Q2 that shows YTD and this has the variable 0I_FPER as filter in the query.
I have set up a WAD tab report and used the same variable 0I_FPER in both queries so that the user only needs to input the variable values once. I have used containers for the Tabs, and effectively assigned Q1 to Tab1 and Q2 to Tab2.
Now, I am using the Info Field web item in the tab reports. I want to display the 0I_FPER in Tab 2 and display ZPER1 in Tab 1. I can display 0I_FPER correcly in Tab2, but I cannot display ZPER1in Tab2. I get the message that the DP1 does not have ZPER1.
Although the query Q1 is using the variable in key figures it does not allow me to display it as part of the Info Field web item. the variable is not available in the dropdown although 0FISCPER is available. However, when I use 0FISCPER it still does not show me the values of ZPER1.
Does anyone have any suggestions please ?

Hi Bal, I've had exactly the same issue, and couldn't figure a way. I tried to use Exit variable value in query output in Web Analyzer/WAD using &VARNAME&; Also tried using some Text Variable with Replacement Path, formula variables & help cells etc. But none of the above methods didn't help as the exit variable hasn't any input value or isn't physically holding related values for references returned from exit logic. However, we can debug using RSRT > Debug Mode > Set Breakpoints to check correctness of logic used. Plus, we can also use the query in workbooks to check the the values of a particular filter in cells. Suggestions anyone? Thanks.

URGENT: Not seeing the variable Pop-up for Button , on web template in WAD

In IP I have a standard plan function for 'Copy', which has a few variables defined on the funciton itself (as to be changed):

All of the above variable are created with the following parameters:
Variable input: Optional (have also tried madantory)
Ready for input: is flagged.
Variable represents: Single value.
No default entry.
No personalized data.
Now in WAD, I create a button group for this function by selecting the Command, 'Executing Planning Function (simple)', manually entering my plan function technical name next to 'Command specific parameters', and selecting the dataprovider created for the filter I created in IP, and finally flagging the 'Display variable' button.
The problem is, on the web template the variable screen does not appear when I click on the function button. It executes the function in the background without giving me the pop-up for variable selection. And obviously since the variables have no default values, nothing is processesed.
I've tried this with planning sequence instead, and still wont give me the variable pop-up screen..
I've actually explicitlet entered the variables on the 'Parameters for Command screen', the same screen where you enter the filter for databinding and well as the function.
It still wont work (no variable pop-up screen).
Is this issue related to the support pack. We're on SP12 right now?
If not, do any of you gurus have any ideas? Big points will be rewarded for this.

In the parameterization of the command, there is an option 'show variable screen'. I am not sure if you have mentioned this clearly, but have you checked this option?

URL to content server from BI WAD not working

But of course no document is shown. It seems like the parameters are gone from the URL.
(The URL is not to be suspected as it is working from BEX Analyser. So it seems like the URL is well generated but cut when the portal is making the jump to the Content Server).
Any idea of what could be done to resolve this?

Variable input values issue with Portal reports in WAD

Hi Gurus,
We have issue with our reports which are created in WAD and when executed through CRM portal. We are executing the report with some selection criteria by changing default values, and once we get the out put we use SAVEAS option to save the report to favourites. But the issue arises when we open the reprot again by clicking OPEN tab next to SAVEAS button. It opens our report, but the selection screen vaues are getting changed to default instead of showing the values which we entered before saving the report.
ex: we have fiscalyear/period: default value is 001.2009 - 010.2009, but i changed the value to 001.2010 - 010.2010 and saved the out put of the report. when i reopen the report useing open option, it is showing 001.2009 - 010.2009 in input screen.
Please let me know if some one has come accross this issue, or is it standard SAP behaviour. It is working fine when executed through Query designer. This is not related to personlization of variabl.es.

Language settings in Portal for WAD reports

In WAD 3.x when we execute the report in the URL we can see language =EN, (https://inls51556188a:6001/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZLUMM_Q100_TPL01)so even when the user browser settings are in German still the report gets displayed in English where as when the user login in German and execute the report in WAD 7.0 it displaying the techical names for text data and infoobjects names as there is no text data maintained in German.
Is there a way to fix the language in the iView of the WebTemplates directly in the Portal.If so how can this be done?

HI,
Now there are two options that you can use to over come this:
1. If the concern is just about the query related then you can do 1 more thing. In the query designer login- with language german, Open your query, you will see the technical names of the chars and key figures (calculated, restricted and formula, selection's as well), now here u need to maintain the description for each of them in english (i.e. simply type the text in general tab for each of them) and save the query.
2. There is table for info-object's text manintainece you need to maintaine the description of info-object's used in your report's in english with language key set to German.
