I am facing some problem while ececution of ws10000031 ( shopping cart two level approval workflow. we are working on srm 5.0 .  In SRM 4.0( it was older version which has been upgraded to SRM 5.0 ) we had ws10000031(  00013(00014)) and <b>ws10000049(0003(0004)) </b> in newer version we have same version of ws10000031(  00013(00014)) but version of <b>ws10000049(0003(0000)   here is a difference.)</b>   because which some excepetions are occuring.
Please help how can I upgrade workflow  ws10000049(0003(0000)   to  ws10000049(0003(0004)) in SRM 5.0. Is there any note or patch available?

  • Processing workflow items and sub tasks inside CIC

In CIC one can add a tab for the work flow inbox.
In one workflow we have a decision task where the user will be able chose to create an activity. How does one modify CIC so the work item processing occurs inside a tab in CIC. With the benefit that the user at the same time can access the other feature inside CIC and at the same time enabling the workflow process to process the necessary steps.

    Hi Jan,
When u create a CIC profile then attach the transaction profile of ur sales activity or oppourtunity or any transaction to with ur application area and create a workflow with the start event of that transaction and add an event in the workflow for create or change of that transaction .
So when agent create the transaction by CIC then it will go to workflow event and an workflow event will trigger and go that transaction to the workflow inbox.

  • What is the difference between Windows Workflow Activities And SharePoint Workflow Activities in Workflows?

    Hi All,
What is the difference between Windows Workflow Activities And SharePoint Workflow Activities in Workflows?
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi,
Both are developed with .NET framework, per my knowledge, the biggest difference would be the environment they applied to: one for Windows platform, one for SharePoint platform:

    Hi Guru's,
We are currently installling GRC AC 5.3 and are stuck in configuration.

    Hi Akshay,
It seems you have uploaded some wrong file .
I would suggest you to delete those entries from table.
please check for the  duplicate entry in u r workflow type under miscellaneous tab in CUP.
for example if you find duplicate entry for work flow type  RE that is ERM ,   And the Work flow type ERM gives you error while saving request type .then please look for the table VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE   in file AE_init_append_data_RE.xml   and follow the below  mentioned  steps:
    1. log in  to SQL with SYSDBA access delete the duplicate entry.
2.use  below command to find the
    SQL> select * from SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE where NAME='ERM'
    3. delete this Row form the table.
    4. restart AS java
After deleting this  duplicate entry your issue should get resolved.
please let em know if your issue is resolved

  • How to go back to previous step in a sub workflow?

We are calling a sub workflow upon approval action from a main workflow. In the child workflow we have 9 steps. If at any step in the child workflow (other than first) user does reject action, the workflow control should go back to previous step in the child workflow itself.
We added a custom action in the exit events of all the child workflow steps. Following is the logic of exit event of Step4 of child workflow. Similar logic is there for all steps in the child workflow.
<$if wfAction and wfAction like "REJECT"$>
         <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", "Step3@childWF")$>
         <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "0")$>
    <$endif$>
With this code when the user is doing reject action from child workflow, it is taking us back to the main workflow and not to the previous step of child workflow.
    Is this approach correct?
    -Pratap

    1. The 3 events are Entry, Update, and Exit.
    2. Rejects happen in the Update area but you can not reliably react to it there because upon reject it immediately leaves (not going through the exit event).
    3. The rejected content goes backwards in the Workflow step by step (even going back to the main workflow from a sub workflow) until it finds a Step that has valid Editors (not just reviewers).
    4. If it does not find an Editor step it goes all the way back to the automatic Contribution step at the beginning of the Workflow and sits there in a kind of no mans land until the contributor (or an admin) goes and approves it again.
    5. To check if something has been rejected the Entry Event of an editor Step BEFORE the step where it is rejected needs to have code to check for the Reject status.
The sub workflow should be able to capture the Reject as you desire. Are all of the steps in the child workflow (sub workflow) Review only steps? Or maybe the people in the steps do not have RW access to the document? This is what I would predict with your described symptoms.

  • Starting many instances of a sub workflow

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a scenario using WLPI studio wherein from a parent workflow
task I want to start a number of instances of a sub workflow. I want that completion
of all the sub workflow instances should lead to completion of the parent workflow
task. How do I do this in WLPI? One way is completion of each of the sub-workflow
generates an event which parent workflow is listening and updates some of its
workflow. However, I was expecting that parent and sub workflow works synchronously,
but I don't know how to configure it... Some of the newgroups mails do talk about
this feature but as mentioned in the following reply for one such query, but in
actual it is not behaving like that :
"Harshad The only time workflows will actually run on parallel threads is when
you trigger the workflows via xml events. Calling a workflow will always keep
it on the same thread until a quiescent state is hot in the child workflow. At
that point control is given back to the parent"

Yes, that is possible. Let's say you have a package with AID 1122334455 which contains an applet with AID 112233445500 on your card. Now you can create two instances, for example with instance AID 11223344550001 and 11223344550002:
    => 80 E6 0C 00 1B 05 11 22 33 44 55 06 11 22 33 44    ......."3DU.."3D

  • Selective disable/enablement of sub workflows

    Hi,
I am trying to design workflow with fork(For parallel execution) and many sub workflows. These sub workflows are totally independent of each other and cna have parallel execution. My requirement is to given an option for user to selectively enable/disable subworkflows.
For ex: My workflow has around 15 subworkflows and all the users may not want all 15 but just a few workflows to be triggered.
Is there any way to achieve this from using a entry in customizng table where he mentions which all subworkflows he wants to be triggered and only those subworkflows are triggered, when the workflow is triggered?
    Regards,
    Srini.

    Hi srini,
I think maintenance wise it's better.
Because basically you're flow would be
       |
      / |
     A B C
    Based on ?
any combination of A, B, or C would have to be performed.
You can do this with the builder in one flow,
Then it would have a lot of conditions, or some kind of intelligent conditioning,
You can for instance assign a number to A, B and C with binary values (i.e 1, 2 and 4)
And then based on ? you add these numbers, so that in the worfklow you know what to do.
    flow would look like
    a multiple condition:
    ? = 1 --> A
    ? = 2 --> B
    ? = 4 --> C
    ? = 6 --> B & C
    Etc.
With the above way, you can also know in any step of the flow if one of A, B or C is needed.
It is however verry intensive to maintain espescially if an extra sublflow is needed. With events you don't really care.

  • Bug with workflow that creates a folder and sub folder with the same name.

    Hi,
I've found a possible bug in SharePoint 2010 workflows. I only have access to SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010 over my companies intranet, afaik I don't have access to to logs or anything server side so sorry for the any missing information.
I had some problems with a workflow in one list that needed to create some folders and subfolders in a second list. The production version did a lot more so I setup a test area with 1 list and a workflow that only does the folder creation part and have managed
    to consistently replicate this problem.
The test list has two columns, [title] and [sub folder title]
The workflow starts by getting the values for [title] and [sub folder title] into variables.
It then creates a folder in the same list with the same name as [title], and then creates a sub folder under this with the name from [sub folder title]
So the resulting structure would be:
    Test List:-
List item with fields [title] and [sub folder title]
        [folder: title]:-
            [folder: sub folder title]
If both folder names are different (e.g Folder1 and Folder2) then it works perfectly fine, if both folder names are the same (regardless of character case, e.g. samefolderName and sameFolderName) then the workflow fails.
As part of the test i made the first action of the workflow to log the message "Workflow Started" to the history list. When the workflow fail there's nothing logged in the history list other than the error: "The workflow could not update the
item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information."
Creating a sub folder with the same name as it's parent works fine manually but for some reason a workflow can't seem to do it in one action.
As there's no history list entries before the error it looks like the workflow is just failing to start but if i do something like add an if statement to check if [title] and [sub folder title] are the same, and only create the subfolder when they are not
then it runs fine doing what it's set to.
The function of the workflow in our office was for convenience so were just working without it. Just wanted to post to see if anyone else has come across this/could try to replicate or explain this  and see if it's a SharePoint bug or something specific
    to our setup.
    thanks,
    Martin

not sure about the specifics of your workflow, but if you're querying the list for the folders... keep in mind that a list lookup will only ever bring back ONE item... even if there are several items that meet the filter criteria... example: if i search
a list for an item assigned to "john doe", there may be 15 tasks that meet the criteria, and it'll only grab one... this is why SP Designer WARNS you when your list lookup may exhibit this behavior.

  • Workflows | Defining sub-workflows and capturing wfActions

    Hi All,
I am trying to define a sub-workflow post which I want to make a jump based on the action taken in the one step sub-workflow. I tried to use the wfActions to find the action taken at a step, but the applet shows the following error:
Offset in runtime evaluation is at character 17. Could not find the parameter 'wfAction'.
I even tried to do a <$wfSet("myvar",wfAction)$> which gave the same error.
I tried to capture this action in the Update section of the script as well as in the Exit section. Has someone used this parameter, has it worked on UCM 10gR3.

  • Email Expressions are Blank in Sub-workflow Created for MDG

    Hello Workflow Experts,
I just posted a question in the Master Data Governance discussion area but it is more workflow related than MDG so posting the link here in hopes that someone can help me out.
In summary, I am trying to create a sub-workflow thats sends an email to the creator of a MDG change request, once the change request is approved.
I am having difficulties in two areas.  I am new to SWDD workflows so any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Two issues:
The expressions I am using to display the Change Request Number and the Change Request Description are not returning values to my email – they are blank.
I want to send the email to the person that created the MDG Change Request but I can’t figure out how to determine the creator (i.e., CR Requestor) of the MDG Change Request and ultimately, their email address.  Right now I am testing using my own email address in the workflow Send Mail step.
Here is the full detail of my question, with lots of screen shots, over in the MDG discussion group: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3513244
    Sincere thanks,
    Rob Scofield

    Hi Rob
Yes, you can use CR_CREATOR_NAME...as shown in the screen shot, however make sure it is prefixed by 'US' (that is user) else mail step will go in error:
Also ensure that user has SU01 setup correctly:
Then the system will send the mail :
And will show in SOST (if SO16 settings are done in the system)
    I would suggest:
    1) Creat a WF container element, say CR_CREATOR_LEADING_US, of type SWHACTOR (which is of type OTYPE+OBJID)
    2) Assign  CR_CREATOR_NAME to CR_CREATOR_LEADING_US-OBJID
    3) Assign 'US' to CR_CREATOR_LEADING_US-OTYPE
    4) Use CR_CREATOR_LEADING_US in the mail step as shown above

  • Workflow Manager and SharePoint Designer publishing error

    Hello all,
I'm hoping for some help in fixing this issue.
I've been trying to publish a workflow using SharePoint Designer only to find that I get this error:
"Errors were found when compilint the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run."
After clicking on the advanced button it shows error:
System.InvalidOperationException: Operation failed with error Microsoft.Workflow.Client.WorkflowCommunicationException: The request was aborted: The request was canceled. Client ActivityId : 6a78ad9c-6ac6-f03a-0680-003bd46e5f68. ---> System.Net.WebException:
The request was aborted: The request was canceled. ---> Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The requested operation requires an HTTPS (SSL) channel.
Ensure that the target endpoint address supports SSL and try again.
    Target endpoint address:
Note: the message cuts off after the "Target endpoint address".
Looking on the SharePoint server, when I try and pull up the Workflow Manager site (https://localhost:12290/) I get this response:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<Code>AuthorizationError</Code><message><Message>The caller does not have the necessary
permissions required for this operation. Permissions granted: None. Required permissions: ReadScope.</Message></message></Error>
I am running this farm with HTTPS and I have registered the SP workflow service with the appropriate application. I have also set the Workflow Management Site bindings in IIS to utilize the same certificate as the default SharePoint site.
At this point, I don't know if the error that I received from Designer is related to the Site error, although I do know that I also have a Development environment that is able to publish workflows just fine. However, this farm uses HTTP rather than HTTPS
so I can only assume that the differences are what's causing the issue. I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks!

    Hi,
As I understand, you encountered the issue when you published a workflow on SharePoint 2013 workflow platform.
I wonder does it work well before when using 2013 workflow platform? If it works before, did you install any updates or change the configuration to the workflow related settings?
If this is the first time after you installed workflow manager 2013, then I’d recommend you try re-registering workflow service per the link below and post the result:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj658588(v=office.15).aspx
From the message you accessed workflow host uri, please make sure the account to wfsetup and wfservice account are both in wfadmins group.

  • Changing "Check Shopping Cart" screen and Completion workflow

    Hi,
Below i describe a) the current process, b) the required changes, and c) my questions.
Though it is also about workflows i still thought this was the best place to post the thread.
    Current process:
In the process "free text order" i choose Go Shopping >> Shop >> Describe Requirement. I fill in details and complete the next steps.
Now the Completion workflow (WS14000044) has started.
So if I now look on my homepage in SRM i have an approval item which reads:
       Approval
You can approve or reject shopping carts and read your e-mails relating to the procurement transaction
       You have
       -  1 Workflow Entries in Inbox
       -  0 Unread Documents in Inbox
So i open the list and find one item: Complete shopping cart of mr X.. Now i click on the item and it takes me to "Check Shopping Cart"
At the bottom of the screen is one button: "Change"
    Requirements:
    1)  add two buttons to this screen. One button is "Reject", to reject the shoppping cart directly. The second button "Mail Requester" to send the shopping cart back to the requester and also sends a mail via outlook to inform the requester that this has happened and requesting more information.
    2)  these buttons should then influence the behaviour of the Completion Workflow. In this workflow (WS14000044) the task Completion (TS14007947) currently has one activated outcome. From my two buttons i would need two more outcomes that allow me to model the other actions that i need i.e. the rejection outcome and the back-to-requester/send-mail outcome.
    Questions:
    1)  is it allowed/possible to add the buttons to the existing screens. Or do i need to create a custom screen and call that instead of the standard screen?
    2)  is it allowed/possible to modify the completion workflow as described? Or do i need to copy and then modify?
    3)  How could i make the buttons to interact with the workflow? The only thing i can think of is to create a Z-bus object of the object Form and to modify so that it show my expected outcomes.
    4)  any helpful links to sdn posts of blogs or otherwise on how to go about to create the necessary changes.
    Thx for your input
    Kind regards
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Again, before technical solutioning, we need to step back and understand the business process and functions of each role (e.g., Buyer, Financial Approver) in the completion and approval workflow.
Here's my understanding of the as-is (correct me if I am wrong). You are using One-Step Spending Limit WF (10000276) for financial approval. This is done by a Financial Approver (I am guessing, the line manager). The Buyer is not part of the process. Now, you want to introduce free-text requisitioning, and, consequently, you want to introduce the Buyer role into the workflow process - to complete the free-text lines (e.g. with vendor, price).
Based on above scenario, I believe your initial solution was not incorrect - introduce Completion WF (14000044) for the completion task, while keeping 10000276 for financial approval.
Now the business wants the Buyer to play a more active role in the process. They want to be able to Reject (the whole cart?) and Inquire (send the cart back to requester with questions). In my mind, it may still be possible to explore keeping the original design with Completion WF without modifying it, and still achieve the business needs. You can explore different ways of doing that: delete SC items instead of Rejecting, add Approval Comments to inquire, etc.
Alternatively, you can replace all your workflows with one - WS14000133 "Spending limit, n-step,
dynamic approvers (BAdI)". Here, you can determine your approvers flexibly via a BAdI implementation. For example:
    1. If Total Amount =< Spending Limit of Purchaser, then no approval agents - auto-approve SC.
    2. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're no free-text lines, then determine Financial Approver.
    3. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're incomplete free-text lines, then determine Buyer; once free-text lines completed - then Financial Approver.
WS14000133 also has back-and-forth functionality which you can use for the inquiries. WS14000133 provides the most flexibilty, but it also involves more effort to implement. Read up on WS14000133 at help.sap.com.
Bottom line - I would focus on evaluating these two standard options: 14000044 with 10000276, or 14000133. You may need to do some pros/cons, cost/benefit analysis. But I see no need to modify or copy SAP templates in your case.
    Cheers,
    Serguei
