Relating "Education\Training" to "Institute\Location" in IT0022

In Infotype 0022 (Education).
Educational Establishment defines relationship with Certificates and Branches of study.
"Educational \ Training Categories" relates "Education and Training".
Now I have 2 queries.
1. If we can relate "Education & Training" with "Institute\Location".
2. "Institute\Location" is a text field, i need this to be changed to a drop down.(to avoid duplicate entries).

Field AUSBI (Education/Training) is a Non-Modifiable field. I dont think you can change it to free text field.

ANY WAY to do Certification without any SAP training and experience?

This simple question is getting so confusing now. Please help.
This is India scenario. If you are mentioning some info for other countries PLEASE remember to do so. The confusion it creates is amazing!
I completed my engineering in July 2013 and then went for SAP ABAP training from an location institution which is NOT an SAP partner. I have no work experience and I'm still looking for ABAP opportunities.
Now, suddenly a friend has told me that someone he knows DID the official SAP ABAP certification by just studying from home for a fees of 40k (INR).
So I call up SAP education in Bangalore (in India) and confirm that the only way to get certified is:
- Through course + certification from their partners for fresher.
- And through your employer if it's an SAP partner.
I already knew this and this is what I've been believing till day. Now enters pearson vue.
So I do some googling and find the below responses regarding the SAP certification from peason vue.
This blog post: Frequently Asked Questions about SAP Certificationsays the following and it doesn't mention any country wise info.

While there is no course or set of courses required to take a particular certification exam, SAP provides a list of recommended training you can take to better prepare for an exam. What this doesn't mention is CAN recent graduates (also called freshers in India) go for pearson vue or previous SAP experience (at an SAP partner) is required?

SAP has a very confusing policy with regards to certification as it varies country by country. I wrote this a long time ago and it needs updating (Learning SAP when you don't have an SAP job already - Authorized Classes). This will give you the general rundown of what's available in terms of course of study.
It sounds like your friend signed up for an eAcademy. (I think they may have changed the name now, but basically it's online learning, not onsite, instructor led learning).
Now, here's the kicker. I'm going to divide the world into two groups: Group 1 and Group A. (Yes, it's a mixed metaphor, and it's deliberate. Read on.)
Countries in Group 1 have Authorized Training Providers. If you live in a country with Authorized Training Providers, the only way to get official SAP Training and the only way to sit for a certification examination is to go through Authorized Training. There are some exceptions: you can get your company to swear that you've got several years of experience or get an implementation partner to do the same, but it's a lot of hassle it's an extreme minority route. The bulk of the certifications for folks in Group 1 countries are via paid training via Authorized Training Providers. The certification and the training are completely linked.
For countries in Group A, the only Authorized Training Provider is SAP itself. If you want official SAP training, you must get it from SAP; HOWEVER, anyone can take the certification exam just by signing up at a Pearson Vue center. The training and the certification are completely unlinked.
I purposely used a mixed metaphor because there is no value judgement here. There are pros and cons to each system. The Group 1 method provides a clear route for folks to get trained and certified in SAP. Also, there is healthy competition between ATPs so the cost to get trained and certified is very low (compared to Group A). As a result, there seems to be far more certified SAP resources coming from those countries. The downside is that we hear horror story after horror story of folks who have been told by unscrupulous ATPs that getting certified is all it would take to get a job. Experience is far more important than certification in getting entry level positions in the SAP world. Certification plays more of a role at the mid-level, but the ATPs have children to feed and seem to accept anyone with enough cash, regardless of whether or not that person will be able to get a job afterwards. The Group A method allows anyone to get certified who has enough cash, but paradoxically, I would wager that the failure rate is much higher as more folks sit for the exam unprepared. Citizens of countries in Group A tend not to see a clear route from college graduate to SAP career. The official training is so expensive, that it isn't really an option to pay for your own training and hope for a job after. In Group A countries, most of the training is taken by folks who have gotten a job first and then have the training paid for by the company who has hired them.
So, by now you have guess that you are in a Group 1 country and your friend is in a Group A country.
While not a definitive list, the last time I checked it broke down something like this:
Group 1: India, Middle Eastern, African, Asian and South American Countries (+Mexico), Eastern Europe
Group A: North American Countries (Canada + US), Western Europe. Australia
You can find an list of Training Locations and check it out country by country to look for exceptions or specific details. If you're willing to travel, then you can test any time. If you can't travel, you're stuck with finding an ATP that you can afford if you live in a Group 1 country. In the past, all ATPs offered on-site, in-person, instructor-led training. I've heard that some are moving to the eAcademy training so that they don't have to pay local instructors (but still charge essentially the same price). I'd be interested in your experience as you go through this process. I encourage you to blog every step of the way! Blog about the various offerings of each ATP and tell us what the salespeople promise you/say to you before you sign up. Contrast that to the reality of the training and the help you get after you've had the training. You will be providing a much appreciated service to all of those who come behind you.
I hope this helps clear things up. I'm basically going to cut and paste this into a FAQ blog for this topic so folks can refer to it later. This is a fairly frequent source of confusion. I could have sworn that I wrote this all up in a blog earlier, but I can't find it, so I thank you for bringing this up so I can get this properly documented. Please ask any questions you may have so I can address them in the blog when it's ready.

Change subtype in infotype 22 (education)

Good morning,
I implemented the infotype 22 education. I have only one kind of "Educational establishment", and for it I have severals "Education/training" entries.
The infotype 22 have the subtype in relation with "Educational establishment" so if I use for the infotype 22 the "Time constraint" " Record must have no gaps, no overlappings" I can't have different "eductaion/training" for one employee because the sistem for the same "Educational establishment" close the record before and open a new record with new validity.
I would like understand if possible change the subtype from "Educational establishment" in "Educational establishment" + "Education/training" to permitt to insert severals "Education/training" for the same type of school.

With the time constraint "3" in the infotype pa022 is possible to have this situation:

The same SLART AND AUSBI can exist for the same period.
Actually If I change time constraint "1" can exist just only record for one kind of SLART because the subtype have the key just with field SLART, there isn't the fiel AUSBI in the key.
So the question is:
I would like to use the time constraint "1" but the system have to permitt to have different record like below, so permitt to have the same key SLART+AUSBI for different period.

Training and OSA appraisals

Hi All experts,
We are implementing HR module on ECC 5 and EP 6. We plan to use OSA for Personnel Appraisals and Appraisal Model for training. I am facing some problems and wish to have guidance from u all.
1 . As per the documentation, I have set the switch as X under PD for only using OSA for personnel appraisals. But when i go under Training for creating a new appraisal form, it still gives me the OSA screen. I have tried all possible things but could not locate the cause for this behaviour.
2. Under OSA, I am trying to create a new category group , but the system does not allows me to create the same. Please tell me how can i create a new category group?
3. We are using the EP 6 and the business package 60.1 for ESS, but in the system , i can not find the services related to Training calendar and My booking services, which I think should be there as a part of package, or is it that they have moved it to LSO?
Please guide me on the same, thanks in advance

Hello,
1. As mentioned, the flag replaces both appraisals for PD as well as TEM. The seperation as described in the docu is technical not possible. It is not that we don't want to correct this, but we can't. However if you want to replace PD and not TEM appraisal then leave the flag to space and call the OSA functionality directly via the transactions

- phap_search_pa, phap_change_pa, phap_admin_pa
2. From an OSA business process there is no need to create another category group. We won't even regard it. However the underlying AES engine is used for multiple applications like LSO and E-Recruiting.
They all have another category group assigned. You can use transaction oohap_cat_group to create your own category group ID. Via the engine transactions (the same as above mentioned but without the _PA) you can erach then your category group id. The engine transactions show all available category groups in your system.
Be carefull though, you acn maintain every category group here without any business check and by doing this you can create inconsistencies in applications that will cause the application to stop functioning. So, be carefull.

Link between the mode of transport and storage location in IS-OIL Dn Stream

I am working on IS-OIL Downstream, and while testing the scenario of Purchasing from the other plant (through Purchasing Contract) through Data Collation I am facing a typical problem, and I hope I will get the solution on this.
I am doing the SR Report first and executing the same. After this I run the HR Report and I am putting the difference qty in EUB Item type. When I am verifying this the system is adjusting the qty and proposing the storage location, as per the mode of transport. Means if I maintain the mode of transport in Purchase Contract, for ex if it is 02 -- Train, the storage location will be train. But, I would like to know where is the link between the Storage Location and Mode of Transport, so that I can tell the system to pick up the particular storage location (currently it is picking up wrong storage location).
I will be grateful if any one helps me...

if you are working with the OGSD component Data Collation then there is no direct relation to the transport mode. The Data collation is only supporting a vehicle.

How can I use the pulse train from a 6602 to trigger an niFGEN and niSCOPE on each rising edge of the pulse train?

Hello,
Here is my application: I need to use a 6602 counter/timer to generate a pulse train of certain frequency and duty cycle. On each rising edge of this pulse train, I need to output an arbitrary waveform on Ch. 0 of an niFGEN (5422) AND acquire data from CH. 0 of an niSCOPE (5124). I also need to synchronize the niFGEN and the niSCOPE to the same clock used for the pulse train (6602/ctr0). This process needs to continue until the user stops the system.
I can generate the pulse train using the 6602 just fine using ctr0, but the pulse train shows up on OUT0 by default. When setting up the niFGEN and niSCOPE to trigger on rising/positive slope edge, OUT0 is not an option for either device as a source for the digital rising edge (pulse train). The main options for both are PFI0-3 and RTSI lines.
Questions:
1.) Is there a way that I can direct the pulse train to a location (such as an RTSI line) where BOTH the niFGEN and the niSCOPE can use it as a start trigger for each rising edge? I noticed in MAX that a route can be made between ctr0's internal output and a trigger line and others. If this is a solution, could you please explain how to accomplish this?
2.) Once I configure the niFGEN and niSCOPE to be triggered on a digital rising edge, how can I effectively have this happen for every rising edge from the pulse train? In other words, can I just initiate the FGEN outside of the while loop and it will generate a waveform for each rising edge it sees at the source until the while loop is exitted?
3.) Is setting a reference clock for the niFGEN and the niSCOPE the same thing as synchronizing both devices using the same clock that generated the pulse train? It is not clear to me the difference, and why it would necessarily be useful.

Welcome to National Instruments Forums.
To output your signal to the PFI lines,
you can use external connectios between OUT0 and PFI lines. You can also use
the backplane to do so by routing into the same RTSI line.
1)
On the SCOPE and FGEN, the name of the
terminals are actually “PXI Trigger Line x/RTSIx” but on the 6602 you might
need to route the signal using the property:
You can also use the DAQmx route signal which perform the same opperation.
2)
This will depend on the frequency of
your pulse train. If this is lower than about 10 ms, then you can probably
place this on a loop and start and stop the acquisition every time. If the
frequency is higher than this, you will have to use:
- Scripting on the FGEN side (read more)
- MultiRecord Fetch (more information in the scope help file
section “Acquisition Functions Reading versus Fetching”).
3)
The short answer is yes. The longer one
might depend on how tight you need the synchronization to be (us, ns, ps). For
very tight synchronization, you should look into here.

How to get application name from a receive location?

Hi all,
I am trying to do a custom error application, and I want to notify system admin users that "the receive port XXXX has stopped in application YYYYYY".
Right now I do know which receive location that is being suspended. But I am not being able to get the application name, associated to this receive location (I can also get the ReceivePort, if it matters).
I've tried 2 ways:
> using WMI
> Using SQL (direct query in BizTalk databases - for testing).
I did not found any solution, even search table by table, i did not found a relation between Applications and receive location..
Anyone?

The 2 year old fix for changing temp files is no longer valid, I need to change the temp file location in the latest firefox.

In 3.6.3 I'm unable to find the parent cache to change where the temp files are located. I have an SSD drive, and I need to get the temp file off, and onto my platter drive. I have read the previous fix of about:config and changing the parent cache location, but it no longer seems to be there. I'm unable to locate anything relating to my SSD drive location in about:config.

Unfortunately, it appears that what I wrote about not being able to find the location IN about:config of the cache to change it from my C: drive to a different location, was mildly misunderstood that I didn't know how to get into about:config.
The location of browser.cache.disk.parent_directory does not currently exist in 3.6.3. I'm assuming it's under a different location. Also using the simple string of "cache" lists several options, but none of them appear to be where firefox is currently dumping the temp files onto my C:
I merely need to know how to switch the temp file location from 1 drive, to another. Not downloads, the temp file.

my smart form working fine if equipment is not goes for AUC settlement but when it goes for settlement then i m not getting the aquisition value for deptt.
since after settlement equipment assign with a new asset number. so i m not getting the exect field to get the aquistion value.
b4 that i m using aquisition value for deptt is kansw from anlc table but it fails under settlement.

From XML in CLOB to relational table doubt

versions 11.2.0.2.0 / 10.2.0.4.0
It's a long time, no see since my last dealing with xml and no luck to have an attribute value returned into the relational table.
It's *<IntrBkSttlmAmt Ccy="???">999999</IntrBkSttlmAmt>*
For the rest the below works in both versions but used on an xml having a 10000 <CdtTrfTxInf> on 11g it took 9 seconds and was killed because no answer was produced after 30 minutes on 10g. A colleague using java loaded the relational table in 34 seconds on 10g and produced the relational table on 11g in just 5 seconds.
The 10g version is surviving with no xmldb installed and there are rumors our thinking heads didn't succeed to deactivate it on 11g yet.
Any suggestion concerning alternate ways to produce a relational table from an xmltype located in a clob column of a relational table are welcome
(looking at CLOB in XML to Normal table Best approach? I thought too many xmltable would have to be used)

1) Leaving the XQuery as it is and using this instead in the COLUMNS clause :
 ccy varchar2(50) path '/rw/Ccy/@Ccy',2) Modifying the XQuery to get the atomic value out of the attribute (using the fn:data function) :
