Relation between an idoc and the workflow launched
Hi masters.
I have a hard question to solve.
I have an inbound idoc whick launch a workflow. Also i have a report to reprocess a workflow that has not finished or has finished with Error status.
But my requirement is that if the status of the inbound status is 68 you have not reprocess the workflow which has generated this idoc.
Do you know hoy i can obtain the data between the workflow and the idoc?
Many thanks.

Relation between statistical document and the real document
How do I get relation between statistical document and the real document.
Actually I want to reverse the posted real document and then convert statistical document into real document.
Problem is that I have the Main/Sub transaction of statistical document but not of real document. So how do i link both of them.Hello,
LFA1 is just a master data table.
To get the number of open items you refer table BSIK
To get the number of cleared items, you refer table BSAK
These two tables gives you the number of line items posted on vendors.
Hope this is informative.

Relation between business process and functional area during the role search
Hi Experts,
We have 2 functional areas in which we have different business process involved.
During the Access request, if the user selects one functional area then business process related to that functional area should come.
Is there any functionality in GRC, where the mapping between functional are and business process to be done?
Thanks,
SriramHi Sri,
there is relationship between 'Business process' and 'Sub-business' process as in configuration parameter you can setup that once business process is selected only relevant sub-process will be selected.
There is no such a relation between functional area and business process.

Hi,
What is the Relation Between S_PARTY.ROW_ID AND S_PARTY.PARTY_UIDWhy do you need to know?
From the configuration in Tools (for instance the fields of Business Component Contact) you can see that by default they have the same value.
But if you import through EIM you can supply your own value for PARTY_UID. -
What is the relation between adobe forms and web dynpro
hi
what is the relation between adobe forms and web dynproHi Jyothsna,
Adobe forms are advanced to smartforms and scripts.
Adobe forms are much easier than smartforms they are online forms.
they can be developed online.
Adobe forms : This is another SAP tool designed to create your own forms. The transaction for this is SFP.
How to use them: You can create a sales order form in adobe form and send to the sales reps. Sales reps can fill this form when they are not connected to internet / SAP system. Once they connect to SAP just send an e-mail to a specific user id in outlook. You got to customize and code how do you want to process once you receive this form. This enables you to create orders even when you are not connected to the system. Hence no data loss. This is not how i used though :-). This is just my idea.
What is the difference between Adobe forms and smart forms / scripts.
Smart forms / scripts are used to show the data in SAP. Most likely you will use these to print / display some kind of reciepts / forms. Many companies must be using this for hard copies / ALE / EDI or to transfer data from SAP to others.
Adobe forms are used to post data into SAP from SAP too. So this has an additional feature compared to smartforms.

Principal difference between an Idoc and a Switch document.
Hello
what is the principal difference between an Idoc and a Switch document.
ThanksHi,
A switch document documents a process, such as, switch of supplier, in a liberalized market and can be monitored with own transactions. The process steps are usually controlled by workflows.
An IDoc is used to transfer data from one system to another one in a predefined package. When you import an IDoc containing a market message, a workflow can be started creating/updating switch documents.
Kind regards,

Difference between Master Idoc and Communication Idoc.
Can anyone list out the difference between Master Idoc and Communication Idoc?
IDoc (for intermediate document) is a standard data structure for electronic data interchange (EDI) between application programs written for the popular SAP business system or between an SAP application and an external program. IDocs serve as the vehicle for data transfer in SAP's Application Link Enabling (ALE) system. IDocs are used for asynchronous transactions: each IDoc generated exists as a self-contained text file that can then be transmitted to the requesting workstation without connecting to the central database. Another SAP mechanism, the Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) is used for synchronous transactions.
Form and content: IDoc terminology
As is often the case with proprietary technologies, SAP assigns specific, object-oriented meanings to familiar terms. When referring to IDocs, the term document refers to a set of data comprising a functional group of records with a business identity. (For example, all the data in a purchase order, or all the profile information of a supplier in a supplier master record.)
A message refers to the contents of a specific implementation of an IDoc; its a logical reference. This differs from a reference to the IDoc itself, which specifies the messages physical representation. Think of it this way: If youre watching a parade pass by, the mayor waving to the crowd from his limousine is the message, and the mayors limousine (which is specific to the mayor) is the IDoc. Youre building a logical object, and the IDoc is both its container and the vehicle that moves it.
The IDoc control record
Each IDoc has a single control record, always the first record in the set. The structure of this record describes the content of the data records that will follow and provides administrative information, such as the IDocs functional category (Message Type/IDoc Type), as well as its origin (Sender) and destination (Receiver) as in conventional EDI
Layout of an IDoc control record
This cover slip format informs the receiving system of the IDocs purpose, and the receiving system uses it to determine the correct processing algorithm for handling the arriving IDoc.
Data records
The data records following the control record are structured alike, including two sections: a segment information section and a data section.
In the first part of a data record, the segment information section describes the structure of the data that follows, for the benefit of the IDoc processor. There is a segment name (like an EDI segment identifier) that corresponds to a data dictionary structure to which the IDoc processor has access. The remaining information is useful for foreign systems, such as a partner companys Oracle system, which has no such data dictionary.
The second part of the record is the data itself, a storage area of 1,000 characters.
Status records
If youve ever ordered a package from a faraway location and tracked its progress using the Internet-based tracking utilities now provided by most major parcel carriers, youre familiar with the list of stops and transfer points through which a package passes on its way to you.
This collection of records is exactly what youll see in an IDoc that has begun its work. Following the data records in an IDoc, status records accumulate as an IDoc makes its way from one point in a process to another.
Typically, an IDoc will acquire several of these records as its does its job. They are simple records, consisting of a status code (there are more than 70 codes, covering a broad range of conditions and errors), a date/time stamp, and some additional status information fields for system audit purposes. In addition, as errors occur in the processing of an IDoc, status records are used to record these errors and the date/time of their occurrence.
IDoc Base
IDocs, as data formatting tools, enable the easy sharing of data between databases and applications within a company as well as being an efficient data courier between companies. Typically in SAP, a database of IDoc definitions exists, to which any application may have access.
This IDoc Base gives all the applications and processes in your company domain the capacity to send, receive, and process a document in a contextually appropriate way, without doing anything to the data. For example, a purchase order IDoc can filter through every process it touches, passing from system to system, accumulating status records to track its progress.
Every department using the data can use it appropriately without any cumbersome intermediate processes, because each department draws its key to interpreting the IDoc from the same source.
Multiple messages
One cumbersome feature of conventional EDI is the embedding of more than one functional record type in a document. The unwieldy X-12 888 Item Maintenance transaction set is an example: It purports to handle so many different configurations of product master data that it is horrifically difficult to integrate into an existing system.
IDocs, on the other hand, handle multiple messages with ease. Given the centralized IDoc interpretation that SAP provides to all its parts, its no problem to define an IDoc that will contain more than one message, that is, more than one data record type.
A customer master IDoc, for example, may contain customer profile information records for a customer with many locations. But it may also contain location-specific pricing information records for that customer in the same document. This is an incredibly efficient way of bundling related records, particularly when passing large amounts of complex information from system to system Records in a multiple-message IDoc -
Difference between Guided Procedures and Business Workflow?
Hi,
I'm new to workflows, so this question could be easy or absurd.
Is there a difference between Guided Procedures and Business Workflows? Or is this
the same thing with two names?
If it is different, when do I use which of them?
Could both use UWL?
Thanks a lot
greetz
chrisWorkflow is a technology used to support business processes. You can make workflows without thinking/doing business processes. When you do business processes you will always wind up using workflow technology. All business process execution tools should by principle use a workflow engine at least SAP ones do. Not sure about others like Oracle BPEL tools for example.
SAP tools like GP and BPM/XI use either Netweaver Java or Abap workflow embedding the technical aspects of workflow design and runtime into the Netweaver stack simplifying the business user experience as it relates to designing and running business processes. But designing and running workflows using workflow tools directly still is very muc an IT challenge. -
Hi,
I am running XP SP 2, on a Dell Vostro 1000, Palm OS Garnet v5.4.7 on a Tungsten E2. I have worked though issues relating to synchronization, Outlook 2007, Docs to Go, etc., in the past. Thank you board members!
Once I worked thru all the initial problems, my Tungsten E2 was sync' ing beautifully to my laptop until a few days ago. There have been no changes (I know of) to the configuration, but now I receive "The connection between your device and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." On the laptop I sometimes get "USB device not recognized." I am unclear why I get the PC message sometimes and not others.
I have tried the following: (not necc exactly in this order)
Double checked Hot Sync Mgr settings: Local USB (ver. 6.0.1)
Reset the Palm (multiple times)
Rebooted the laptop (multiple times before and after the Palm resets)
Went to Support Libraries including http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=57,E=0000000001060189973,K=9550,Sxi=3,Case=Obj(3695...)
and http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,Case=obj(1409)
Followed the steps in "Start Here" found at http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id=windows_hotsync&thread.id=26057
Moved Backup directory as per a post on this forum
Looked for a deleted a file called "Graffiti_ShortCuts_____________" per a post on this forum
Followed the steps in HotSync troubleshooter guide you can run through located on
http://kb.palm.com
Went into Device Manager - found it shows no yellow ! 's
Followed Device Mgr Troubleshooter - went all the way thru with no solution
Tried all four USB ports - the PC's bell-like tone does not sound when I disconnect or reconnect the Plam's cradle like it does when I conn/disconnect other USB devices -I think that is a clue. ...?
Cleaned the Palm's contacts (and cradle's contacts with a old, dry toothbrush)
Read all the posts under "USB device not recognized."
OK, I'm at a loss, can anyone help me? Many thanks in advance!
~Bob
Post relates to: Tungsten E2Hello!
Using a cradle with the Tungsten E2? Tried bypassing the cradle and just use the hotsync cable? Tried a different computer yet? Somehow, the PC is having problems getting a signal from the device. I assume you have the laptop charger plugged into the laptop during this? Not going through a docking station or port-replicator.
One crazy thing you can try is unplug the charger from your laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and leave it out for like 10mins and put it back in and reboot the laptop. This should not cause side effects but still contact your OEM to make sure that nothing else is needed after leaving the battery out for extended period of time. Keep me posted.

Relation between GL Account and Invoice?
Hi Experts,
I am working with the FI reports for the first time and I do not have any idea on FI functional flow. I have some basic questions like
What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?
When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?
For example if I want to calculate " no of vendor invoices without PO how can I do that"? How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?
Thanks for any help in advance and I am bound to reward points.
Sri<b>What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?</b>
SAP's Glossary for GL Account is
"A structure that records value movements in a company code and represents the G/L account items in a chart of accounts.
A G/L account has transaction figures that record changes to the account during a posting period. These figures are totals that are used for G/L reporting."
In accountancy, an account is a label used for recording and reporting a quantity of almost anything. For example when a company pays salary to its staff, They debit Salary account. This is to identify what is the nature of an expense.
An invoice is a message to the buyer of goods or services that contains, among other things, Name of the goods or services, Quantity sent, & Remuneration due.
Invoice is also a SD document used to charge a customer for a delivery of goods or for services rendered.
<b>When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?</b>
If it were a vendor invoice. (i.e you purchase items or service and recieve invoice)
Invoice get posted to the tables once someone makes a Logistics Invoice verification through t-code MIRO etc. The teble RBKP gets the first posting.
If it were your own invoice to your customers, then VBAK and VBAP get the posting. The connectivity of tables are available in http://www.erpgenie.com/abap/tables.htm As far as SAP is concerned an invoice is a document, so you can only trace invoice as a document number, field name is usually BELNR. Even if a vendor invoice arrive, an internal invoice number is generated where the vendor invoice is entered only as a reference field. This is because, each vendor can have inovices of different size and pattern.
<b>How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?</b>
For a purchase order you can find in table EKBE for BEWTP = Q any invoice document. -
Relation between MSEG table and movement types in 2lis_03_bf
Hi all,
May i know the relation between MSEG table and 2lis_03 _bf xtractor stock type/stockcategory where we see the informarion in r/3 side for this, you answers gets rewarded.
regards,
Dan.Hi,
Most of the data for IM comes from the tables MSEG andd MKPF. You can go to MSEG contents and see the data there. You will find all the movement types, stock types and stock categories there. You can also use the transactions MB5B, MB51 etc.. to see the related info in R/3. As I said most of the data comes from these tables but not all the data. It uses some internal programming to get the data.
Hope it helps... -
