Relationship contact person BUR001

Hi,
When I create a new contact person in IC Webclient, by default it is creating a relationship BUR001. How can I change this to create a other relationship, or add matchcode for selection?

IMG t-code CRMC_IC_BPPROF you can control the role of the contact (something other than BUP001) but I don't think there is anyplace to control the relationship BUR001.

    Hi group,
    I need to be able to change the from and to date from the relationship category BUR001 (Contact Person). The system automatically sets the FROM as 01.01.0001 and the TO as 31.12.9999.
    I assumed the customizing for this is done in the relationship category settings in transaction BUBA. Setting its value to 2 or 4 should do the trick and does the trick for any other relationship category, but NOT for the contact person category. Of course I need to be able to change this one and not other types
    I am sure this problem has been encountered before. Please provide me with suggestions. Again: BUBA settings do not solve my problem for specifically this relationship category.

    We can creat a relationship category of contact person with validity period.then use this relationship category while you assign the contact person to the main Business partner.

    In CRM 4:
    I wish that the Rel category "has contact person" (BUR001) will have from...to-date (validity period).
    But even though view BUB020 is listed in the views of this category in Tx BUBA - the fields from...to...are not active when I create new contact person relationship in Tx BP.
    what is the problem?

    Please go to transaction BUBN and in that one field group would be there called 'Relationship Category/Role Definition Category'.
    Select that and go to "Field Group--> Fields" and add the following two fields:
    Table                        FieldName
    BUS050DFLD           DATE_FROM_STR
    BUS050DFLD           DATE_TO_STR
    Dont check any of the check boxes like "input field" and "not a required field".
    Save it and come out and then again launch BP trx to get the desired result.
    This is how i solved my problem in CRM 4.0.

  • Automatic Partner Determination Std Contact Person during Activity Creation

    Hi ,
    There is a requirement in my project where the Standard Contact Person of the Sold to Party  should be automatically determined during Activity Creation .I have completed the Partner Function configurations and now the Standard Contact Person is  being successfully determined as the Partner.
    However, there is a problem in a scenario where in another Contact Person other than the Standard Contact Person is to be determined during Activity Creation . In that case, the option to select the other Person is not being offered through a pop up window, but the System automatically populates the next Contact Person based on the BP Id ( Next on the Number Range )
    Is there any way , so that the normal procedure of selecting one Contact Person from a list in the Pop Window can be incorporated , once the standard Contact Person is being removed from the Contact Person field in the Business Transaction .

    Hello Maroof,
    you should check first the standard relationship flag of the account. Means check the account and go to the
    relationship contact person.
    There you will find the standard Relationship Flag, which is relevant for the system to determine the main CP.
    Furthermore please check the partner procedure:
    For each partner function you can enter a value in field Maximum and Selection Limit. Please consider the F1 help
    for the field Selection Limit where you can find the explanation when and how the selection popup is triggered:
    Example 1
    You enter 3 in this field.
    When the system finds three or more partners who could fulfill this partner function, it displays a selection list.
    You choose from the list which partners to enter in the transaction.
    Example 2
    You do not mark this field, but enter 5 as the Maximum for this partner function.
    When the system finds six or more appropriate partners it displays a selection list.

  • Validity range of contact person relationship BUR001 not changeable?

    Hi guys,
    Apparently it is not possible to change the validity range (Valid from and Valid to) of the BUR001 relationship.
    The suggested workaround is a Z-copy of the BUR001 in which it is possible to change the validity range settings. The problem with this 'solution' is the huge amount of partner determination which takes place on several placed within the system (e.g. partner determination procedures on activities, search functionality etc).
    What is the best way to use contact person relationships which can have a validity range?
    We are on a CRM7.0 system.
    All suggestions are highly appreciated!

    The answer to the above question:
    In CRM7.0 a flag is added to activate the time dependency on the BUR001 relationship:
    CRM_BUT050     Time Dependency: Contact Person Relationship
    This can be activated via the following path:
    Cross-application Components  --> SAP Business Partner --> Activation

    I need to add the attribute 'RELTYP' to determine the Relactionship Category between a BP and its contact person in IC Webclient.
    I investigated the BOL 'BuilContactPerson' and it calls several BAPIs (e.g.: BUPR_CONTP_CREATE to create the contact person and its attributes: VIP, FUNCTIONNAME, DEPARTMENTNAME, and so on). But in these BAPIs, there are a lot of hardcode to determine the relationship 'BUR001'.
    So, I am looking for a workaround to make the change of Relationship Category work.
    Any clue?

    The BUR001 relationship is used as default if no role has been maintained in the sub-profile for Accounts.
    SPRO->CRM->RM Interaction Center Web Client->Master Data->Define Account Identification Profiles. Look in the Box labelled "B2B Scenario only".

  • Relationship Between ECC Customers (Contact Persons) and CRM BP

    Hello,
    I am new to middleware and need some help with the relationship between ECC customers/contact persons and CRM business partners.
    We are transferring via bdoc this information from ECC to CRM.
    Which bdoc types are used when transferring customers/contact persons? I believe it is BUPA_MAIN but am not too sure. How is the relationship between customer its contact person transferred? Is this done through BUPA_REL? I looked at the segment fields in SBDM but am not too sure how to understand the relationship...

    Thanks! With the initial load, how do I check what fields are being passed in the bdocs?
    I tried to look for customer_main, customer_rel in SBDM  and couldn't find it. Instead I used BUPA_MAIN and found some segments but couldn't find all the data that was being transferred (e.g. customer name, address, etc...) Where do I find all the fields contained in the bdoc?
    I see them in SMW01 when I view the bdoc contents but can not find the actual structure (data fields) that are being brought in from ECC.

  • Email Campaign Execution: Contact person Relationship

    Hi All,
    I created a target group which contains a list of Contact Persons. I am testing executing an email campaign against this target group.
    This contact person also exists as a relationship to a prospect.
    The email address maintained on the contact person master data may be different from the email address maintained on the relationship. Our end goal here is to execute the email campaing against the addresses maintained on the relationsip and not on the master data. When I execute the campaing, it sends the email out to the address maintained on the contact person master data. Do you know what I can do for it to pick up the email address maintained on the relationship? Is it standard CRM functionality for it to pick up the email address from the master data rather than the relationship?
    Any comments/help on this would be greatly appreaciated.

    I'm facing a similiar question... I need to send campaign mails to contact persons (to the relationships contact mails). But i can not see any B2B flag... Can someone please tell me where can i check this field? (I'm working with CRM 7.0 (and Webclient UI))

    in "Relationships", you need to eliminate the filtering in BOL
    (class CL_BUPA_IL_RELATION->FILTER_RELATIONSHIPS). By creating a new
    implementation class (i.e. ZL_BUPA_IL_RELATION with superclass
    CL_BUPA_IL_RELATION) and entering this class in viewcluster
    CRMVC_BUIL for external object BuilRelationship), you can redefine
    method FILTER_RELATIONSHIPS and implement logic according to your needs
    I am not able to apply the above solution, as FILTER_RELATIONSHIPS is a private method of the class CL_BUPA_IL_RELATION so how can i redefine it.

    I'm new to oracle,so correct me if i'm wrong..
    I've created a party (Party A) using the HZ_PARTY_V2PUB API, to be a contact to a different party (Party B).
    Next I created a contact point for Party A using the HZ_CONTACT_POINT_V2PUB API.
    So, for Party A to be a contact within a Service Request of Party B, I use the CS_SERVICEREQUEST_PUB API which have the Contacts Table (cs_servicerequest_pub.contacts_table)
    l_contacts_tab (1).party_id := 89765 ; --Party A party_id
    l_contacts_tab (1).contact_point_id := 73154; --Party A contact_point_id
    Error message:
    API Programming Error (CS_ServiceRequest_UTIL.Validate_Person_Relationship): The value "89765" for parameter p_party_id is invalid.
    Should I create the relationship between Party A and Party B before it can become a contact?
    What is the API to create the relationship between 2 parties?
    Please help..
    P.S.
    I change the the contact_point_id to Party B's and the same error message appeared...

You have mentioned that when you delete the contact person relationship of a Sold to party, relationship to another contact person is deleted. No two contact persons can be identical in the system. Whenever you create a new BP in the CRM system, every one are unique in its own way with a New GUID and New BP number assigned to them.
    Even though they can remain as duplicate, but 2 contact persons cannot be identical which will lead to a scenario like you have mentioned here. In my opinion this cannot occur. If you elaborate further i can help you out.

This field is available in SAP GUI, in "Contact Person Relationship" category, whereas it is not present in Web UI screen for contact. In our project there is requirement to make it visible in UI also. Please help me in this regards.

    Since Contact Person is a very common relationship, it has been removed from the relationship type and has moved into an assignment block. Invariably whosoever is a contact person will come under that assignment block.

    Request your help in creation of Collection contact persons relationship in FSCM and find them in process receivables screen.
    We are not mantaining customer contacts in customer master. But only in FSCM
    What is the use of collection contact person if they donot show up in process receivables screen?..Please help. i want collection contact person to show up in "Get contact Person" list  in process receivables.

    Donnesh,
    If you dont record the contact person in the customer/ BP then it needs to be stored somewhere for it to be defaulted.
    The only way to do this is to add the name once in the process receivables screen and it will then stay there and also be copied through in to the create customer contact screen.
    You could look for a BAPI to load the name and number into the process receivables screen, but this would mean processing the customer via the worklist.

  • Display relationships by contact persons

    Hello,
    if you display the master data from a company, you have an info block for relations where you can see the connected contact person to the company. at this positions its also possible to delete the relationship between the company and the contact person.
    If you display the master data from a contact person, the info block relations are not filled.
    Its possible to see the businessadress of the related companies, but its not possible to delete the connection between the contact person and the company from the master data of the contact person.
    So, somebody have a tip how we can make this possible?
    why i cant see the relationship to the company in the info block relations at the contact persons?

    Currently when maintaining the relationship of Contact Person to a Customer Account, Web UI automatically copies all communication data (phone, fax, email etc...) to the relationship.
    I need to know, specifically, how we can restrict data copy/transfer to only Business Phone Number and Business Fax number only. upon relationship creation.
    What are we restricting and what BAPI or code is being restricted?
