In QA32>UD>inspec lot stock>to new material i want to enter the qty. But the base.u.m. of inspection material is diff from the new material. so how can i do it. where can i maintain the relationship between the ba.unit.m of two material. pls help.

your scenario has been tested and it's working fine. It has to work in QA32 as I mentoned above
Pls cross check and make sure that the alt unit of measure is maintained in both the materials
Product A - BUM is EA and alt unit of meausre is KG
Product B- BUM is KG and alt unit of meausure is EA
Pls try it out

We use standard and promotional material code with the same EAN. The issue we should solve is that EDI recognises the material based on the EAN code. In the Order message I need material_1 during promotional period and material_2 when the promotion finished. Is there a flag somewhere in MM to block material for EDI orders? (Sales staff doesn't want to change the EAN code, so it will be the same for two materials.)

Also note that this type of configurtion may not be supported.
Just because a given configuration works in certain given conditions does not mean that it would be supported.
If this setup is for a configuration that has any value, please also Contact Oracle Support to get their inputs on what you are trying to accomplish.

Two materials ordered separately from vendor to be used as single material

Hi All,
Suppose there are two materials say A and B which are ordered separately from vendor and then placed in storage location as two diffrent stock materials.
But while issuing the goods, these two materials A and B need to be combined as different material C and has to be issued against.
Please let me know if there is any possibility of such scenario.

Two materials A and B which are ordered separately must be created with same material type(say ROH) & a different material C must be created with a separate material type HALB.Now can keep /create BOM for material C where you can mixing combination of materials A and B.
You can issue now material C after mixing of materials A and B.( after receiving to warehouse).Just get help from PP consultant.

Two materials in different pC

Hi All,
Document splitting on PC level is active.While doing MIRO for two materials having Different Profit Centers,sytem is giving error-"Balancing Field Profit center in line item 001 not filled".
Should it not split vendor line into two having the 2 diff PCs,since we cannot enter PC in vendor Line Item.
Please advise..

I am not sure about version 10 - i've jumped from 8.5 to 9 and them to 11 R2...
However at one time i needed to have:
Version 8.5 and version 9 and version 11 R2 all in the same PC and it works (at least for create and change reports - for development i was using only v.11).
Of course, if i open a report with double-click, it was opened by v11; so for v.8.5 and v.9 i open the editor first and then opened the report.
My major care was to setup the products in order: V8.5 first, then SPs for this version, then 9, etc.

DIMP - Two materials in same Production Order

Hello experts
anyone knows if it is possible combine two materials in one production orders with DIMP component?
The scenario is for print flexible packaging, in one flexo printing machine we can print 2 different product with similar structure and characteristics like width, weight, colors and so on.
This FERTs consume the same raw materials (BOPP Film, same colors of ink). the last process is cut the roll for obtain two different flexible packaging.

You will have to test it, but i believe it's possible.
If the order BOM has co-product, then settlement will have 2 entries. You can change the ratio over there, to settle to one material. So, the costing will happen accoridnlgy. There's no change in logistic process.
Another option is to change BOM prior to creating the order, if you know the details beforehand. But, correcting master data is not a right practise.

Single shipment for Two materials

the scenario is we have a situation
whre two material are made in two diffferent plants
but the customer orders these two materials in a single sales order
normally what happens is when ever tihis situation occurs, the material which is manufactured in plant B is sent to plant A and in plant A both the materials are consolidated and sent in a single shipment
we need to automate this process
when ever we enter both the materials the system needs to know that the second material which is manufactured in plant B needs to be sent to Plant A
and the delivery for the material in plant A has to wait until the material from plant B comes.
When you create sales order for two materials, the stock transfer should happen automatically.

why do you need the automation? i mean when you can solve it through standard..
you can go through MMSTO . as material is maintained in different plants and you ll be sending the goods through the Shipping point maintained at Plant A ( where material A is produced) right? but if you ve 2 shipping points the delivery will split but still you can send it through single shipment iff you ve a single transportation planning point... give a thought there is no need of automation unless the organisation say so...

Two materials with same material code

There are 2 components of a split AC, say Indoor unit and outdoor unit.
Now we purchase the two materials with the same material code.
Once an order is received, these two units are picked and sold. For easy identification, both the materials are procured under the same material code,
However, this does not give any visibility on the actual stock status of each component. So we have decided to have two different material codes.
When these are sold, we want to be able to use a BOM that will bind these two materials. However, there is no production activity involved. This will help us in printing the Header material on all documents like say Excise Invoice (Split AC Model 4354 - 1 EA)
Is there a possibility in SAP to attain this ?

you are not going to create two material codes in case of split valuation.

Hello All,
I have a 15" i7 Macbook Pro from early 2011. The past few weeks, it has been getting increasingly difficult to get on my computer. It takes the mac laptop two or three tries to boot successfully. It would turn on, show gray screen, shut down, turn on again, show gray screen, shutdown, and then turn on, show gray screen, before it can finally get to the dark gray log-in screen. Even when I finally get logged in to start working, thinking it would be okay now, it shuts down randomly.
I've ruled out the possibility of a software problem because I've just done a clean re-install of Mac OS X Mavericks on my computer just yesterday.
I did upgrade the RAM recently, about a month and a half ago, from 4GB to 16GB, I went to the apple store four days after that upgrade to have them do a hardware test, and clean the inside of my laptop, which helped with previous heat issues. When they did the hardware test, the hardware was all registered as fine from their system.
I've tried resetting the SMC, PRAM, and doing the internet recovery hardware test, but to no avail. I thought I could at least find out what parts needed to be replaced from the hardware test but it seems that when the hardware test is almost finished, the computer just shuts down, So I am unable to see the results.
My computer is also having battery issues, under battery condition, it says "replace now," parts have been ordered, waiting for arrival. But if the battery health is low, it should still boot up fine, it would just hold a significantly less charge.
Could this be a hard drive issue?
Has anyone had similar symptoms and how was it resolved?
Does anyone know what I can do to alleviate this issue?
I haven't had time to take it to Apple because I'm currently taking a 21 credit semester academically. I'm an art and design student so my computer is basically the bane of my existence. Help! Any constructive advice is welcomed!

Hello mlazaretti. Vacation time is awesome. (Especially a road trip!) Since you will be going out for two weeks, you never know if having extra data may come in handy. I highly recommend switching to the next tier up so this way you have more data. This way it is only $10.00 more versus $15.00, and you dont have to worry about overages. Then change back at the start of the next billing cycle.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
