Relatório Crystal Reports (Usuário/senha)

Boa Tarde !
Estamos utilizando a conexão OLE DB - Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, mesmo assim este driver está exigindo a senha durante s execução dos relatórios do Crystal Reports através do Menu FerramentasVisualizar "Arquivo Crystal Reports Externo". O SAP esta pedindo usuário e senha todas as vezes que o relatório é exibido, isto é, o Crystal exibe a tela de conexão com o banco de dados pedido a senha antes de exibir o layout.
Estou utilizando o SAP 8.8 PL 19.
Alguém pode me ajudar?

Alex, bom dia.
Isso já me aconteceu algumas vezes, pelo fato do relatório estar configurada em uma outra conexao que a que voce constuma utilizar.
Voce deverá "trocar" a conexao que está gravada no relatório para a conexao que deseja usar.
Lá no Crystal Reports, entre no menu Banco de Dados -> Definir Local de Banco de Dados. No primeiro quadrante clique uma vez no Comando e substitua pela conexao desejada no quadrante abaixo deste. Caso possua sub-relatórios faça o mesmo procedimento e clique em Atualizar. Isso fará com que o relatório fique disponível para a conexao com o seu cliente.

Performance problem with Filters of Crystal Report

Hi,
I have been facing this problem for a month now.
Whenever I try to run a Crystal Report from Infoview it takes 5min or more to get the prompts screen
but sometimes(mostly when i restart all servers) the filter screen appears real quick say 5 to 10 secs(is this quick?)
I have no idea why this is happening! Is there an issue with the servers? or is this problem related to Crystal report?
Please help. I tried googling for this problem but could not find anything that would help.

I am using a universe which uses a DSN to connect to the sql2k5 database. One thing I forgot to mention is that this is a clustered environment(with 2 servers) and the input/output file repository is set to a folder on a third server.
Note: Even though the report filters take time to pop up, but the report runs very fast; doesnt take more than 5 seconds for a fairly complex report.
Yesterday I did a trial install on a seperate server and the reports filters come up pretty fast.

Invalid Key code Error while installing crystal report server 11

You received your permanent key in respect of these licenses - the key is for Crystal Reports Server XI.
You did not purchase these licenses for Crystal Reports Server, but purchased it for Crystal Reports and a 5-named user license for Crystal Reports was included as a special offer. The software included was version XIR2, but you elected to use version XI instead and received key .
You would need to enroll the licenses in maintenance if you want to upgrade them.

Moreover, there are two ways for Crystal Report customer to get support.
One is customer with bundled product such like BOE and under maintenance. These customers will have an S-user ID and password to log a case in service market place via http://service.sap.com/message
A learning map was provided, listed on left column.
The other is customer with only Crystal report product, the support is via SDN.

We have bought licensed Crystal Reports Server 11 near by 2006.We are trying to install the crystal server but while installing ,we have encountered with an error message that:-
"The product key code you have entered is incorrect"

By design, the product is not able to be installed under the superuser account.
1. Create a new user and specify a home directory for the user without a quota set.
2. Copy or move the installation files to a directory that the new user can read. I suggest you move the installation files directly into the new user's home directory.
3. Logon as the new user (or su - newuser)
4. run the installation shell script using that new user's account.
NOTE: Ensure the system meets the requirements from the supported platforms documents.

Crystal reports from VB at run time

I am using VB6 as the front end and Microsoft Access to hold the data and Crystal Reports 8.5. I have a staff name parameter that I want the user to select which staff name to print the report. If there is a new

Crystal reports using xml at run time??

I have very simple requirement.
I would like to create a crystal
report using XML. This
XML file will be decided at run time
(not at design time).
Hence i have added a crystal report viewer control to my windows form and did
not choose any data source (i left it blank currently). Now i am trying to load
XML file with the following simple code.

I am getting exception exactly at the above line (i.e. when adding table to
Database Controller) saying "COMException was unhandled" with error code
0x80004005 Unspecified error.

Dependent Files for Crystal Report missing while making Setup

Hi Support Team
I am trying to make a MSI Setup of my windows application by using Install Shield 2010
Development Environment that is used to develop the application is
VS 2008 having .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
Crystal Reports 2008 with Service pack 2
When I am trying to build the setup for my application using Install Shield 2010 I am getting errors related to crystal reports.
I am using CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.CrystalReportViewer control to display the reports at runtime.
Dlls that I included with the setup related to this viewer are
CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.Engine
CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.Framework
CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.InfoStore
CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.ReportSource
CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.Shared
CrystalDecision.Windows.Forms
The Errors that I am getting upon building the setup are listed below
Could not find dependent file BussinessObjects.Enterprise.Sdk, or One of its dependencies of component CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll                   Error Code 6248
Could not find dependent file crpe32.dll, or one of its dependencies of component CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll

I tried your several suggestions from your forums like
I installed
Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime
Crystal Reports Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008
Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 Service pack1
And
CRBasicVS2008_redistu2026.
CRRedist2008_x86.msi
And by putting the files like Product.xml in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages
And I installed vcredist_x86.exe to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable on my machine
But no luck still I am getting the same errors.
Please let me know which files I need to install on my development machine to get my setup working.

Looks to me like you're adding just about any runtime to the project to make it work. Look at [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=56787567] wiki and find out what runtime you actually need. Also, look at the CR assemblies referenced in your project. Then make sure that the you are using the correct msm file(s) for the correct version of the assemblies referenced. Do not add any other versions of CR msm files.

Crystal Reports 2011 getting An unhandled win32 exception occurred in crw32

I am using Crystal reports 2011 with windows XP. I am getting the error message "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in crw32.exe" I have seen the resolution for this at ""Unhandled win32 exception occurred in crw32.exe [2920]."" but this does not work either. I have added every possible .exe to not use DEP, that I could find in the Business Objects folder. The Business Objects folder is the correct folder. There is not any other folder in "Program Files" that is related to Crystal Reports. Can anyone help with this. I have come to the conclusion that the only solution is to switch to DevExpress Reports. Don't want to have to but, I have customers who are expecting working reports. I am using a MySQL database with version 5.1 ODBC driver. Another developer has Vista operating system running the same version of Crystal Reports, same database and ODBC driver and it works fine for him. Please don't say upgrade to Vista because the majority of my customer base is using XP. I would appreciate if someone could share some incite here. Thank you in advance.

First thing is to download 5.3 DataDirect Drivers.
DEP is not a problem as of CR XI R2 SP6 and CR 2008 SP 2.
When are you getting the error when opening Crystal or at some other click?
Check your Anti-virus software, it will block access to dependencies CR requires or access to the Registry.
Look in your AV logs to see if it's logging that it's blocking access to something.
Also, CR 2011 requires Windows XP SP3.
And if you have not downloaded SP1 or SP 2 try uninstalling CR and then without running CR between installs complete them first and then try again.
AND you must be a local PC Administrator to install.

CRVS2010 Beta - Crystal Reports crashes Visual Studio

I have a problem in VS2010 whenever I attempt to use anything related to Crystal Report files (*.rpt). Attempting to open any rpt file or add one to a project causes VS2010 to crash. I have tried un- and re-installing several times to no effect. Any help would be welcomed.
I'm running:
Windows XP SP3 32-bit
VS2010 Ultimate
I can get the crash to occur in the following scenarios:
Create a new code project. In that project, Add new item... Crystal Report file. The report file will be created and then Visual Studio crashes due to an access violation exception. It generates the following error in the system event log:

Next case: Add existing item... an rpt file created by the above process. The file is successfully added to the project. However, opening the file to edit it causes a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error dialog to appear, followed by VS2010 crashing. I managed to pull the following errors out of the process:
Unhandled exception at 0x7c812aeb in devenv.exe: 0xC0020001: The string binding is invalid.
Unhandled exception at 0x791dfe16 in devenv.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000034.
The following error was added to the system event log:

Similar crashes occur when I attempt to upgrade or open any old 2005 reports in 2010.

Our PM just verified what you found also. This is another one of those "dll hell" problems that Microsoft is trying to fix by asking all to put their own dependency runtime into their own app folders.
I don't think Mcafee is the cause. Our IT department push out McAfee as well and I don't have it in the system32 folder so it's likely Adobe installing it into the \system32 folder.
You could try moving it to their app folder so it doesn't break Adobe or submit a ticket with Adobe to not drop that dll into the \system32 folder.
For your info also the dll is a Crypto Package released by RSA, file security.... Part of the new feature of locking the RPT files by encrypting them.
It may not be Adobe doing this either, check the install logs to find out who is placing the dll in the \system32 folder.
Update - I just installed Adobe Reader and it wasn't Adobe Reader installing it so you guys will have to check the install logs and let that 3rd party software company know they need to alter their installer.
At this point we don't need the dump file.

Crystal Reports error - The Report Application Server failed

Hi,
I am getting the following error on XP Professional system. These reports were built earlier by one of my collegue and am trying to use the app but i stuck up getting the below error. The report gets failed

Hi,
I am trying to replicate the same issue on new desktop which has crystal reports 9.1 & 10 installed. I still see crystal reports 9.1 controls when i open VS.net. when i compare both desktop installed softwares, i found that the other desktop has "Crystal Reports 10 .NET runtime installed" which is not there on the new desktop. please advise whether i need to install this software to get ver 10 components installed? Appreciate your help on this. can you also advise the software download location for 10 .net run time installation?
In other words, though crystal reports 10 got installed on this desktop but it is not getting referenced in VS.NET. I am seeing only 9.1 version assemblies are being used. hence my solution is not getting compiled in this desktop. Please advise how to get the version 10 assemblies referenced in the solution

Crystal Reports for VS2010 versus Crystal Reports 2011

I'm not exactly new to CR, however, I have been away from it for a while and am now being tasked to work with this product again. Alot has changed in that period of time. I'm currently using Visual Studio 2010 and I have learned that Crystal Reports is no longer integrated within Visual Studio but available from SAP as a free download as Crystal Reports 2010 and will essentially be a plug in to the Visual Studio 2010 development environment once installed.
In my effort to find a sample database as well as any additional documentation related to Crystal Reports 2010, I'm finding and/or seeing a lot of information related to Crystal Reports 2011 and little or nothing related to Crystal Reporst 2010.
1. Is CR2011 a seperate, stand-alone product versus CR2010, which is now a seperate download and plug in product to VS2010?
2. Are there any sample databases, sample reports, sample .NET code available for CR2010?
3. Do I have it all wrong and CR2010 is really CR2011 and SAP is just trying to confuse everybody?

CR 2011 is the Full standalone Report Designer, no SDK with it. The CR for VS 2010 is the plugin that was shipped within the VS .NET as an included plug-in , you just have to install it separately with VS 2010. The complimentary SDK is in CR for VS 2010 which has the matching CR 2011 report Designer.
2. Are there any sample databases, sample reports, sample .NET code available for CR2010?
No, but you can use the ones from our download page: These are for[ CR XI R2|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100005852352008E/cr_xi_xtreme_rep_smpl_en.zip] and is based on the old reports that you are familiar with.
For sample code see this [page|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsSDKSampleApplications], lots of them available.
RAS is the new Report Designer RCAPI SDK and you can find the help for the SDK from the same page you downloaded the installer.
3. Do I have it all wrong and CR2010 is really CR2011 and SAP is just trying to confuse everybody?
We are trying to confuse everyone... just kidding. It's the way the latest builds are released. CR 2011 has no SDK and CR for VS 2010 is the SDK for CR 2011.
You'll also notice that CR for VS 2010 is version 13 and CR 2011 is version 14 which matches Business Objects Enterprise Version 4.0

Windows 2008 Web Server and Crystal Reports Runtime 10 comptability

We have migrated a website that was previoulsy on a Wndows 2003 server using IIS6 and Crystal Reports Runtime v 10 on ASP.NET 2.0
After migrating the website, and installing the Crytal Reports runtime, we are getting application errors related to Crystal Reports Runtime in event viewer and the browser.
For one is Crystal Reports Runtime v10 compatible with Windows 2008 Server, IIS 7 ?

No it is not. You're looking for about a 5 year forward compatibility. At this time, only CR 2008 (12.x) and Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 (10.5) are supported on WIN 2008. See [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=56787567] blog for more details.

Campos de entrada não obrigatório no Crystal Reports- Chamada por Procedure

Olá a todos.
Estou desenvolvendo relatórios em crystal para o B1 8.8. os retornos de dados são realizados através de procedures desenvolvidas no sql.
O problema é que não sei como posso estar fazendo para que determinados campos de minha tela de chamada do relatorio no B1 (Variaveis de entrada), não sejam obrigatórios.
Por exemplo: Um relatório de clientes por estado onde os parametros de entrada são Grupo de clientes e Estado. Caso o usuário não deseja preencher o campo grupo de cliente ele deixaria em branco e o campo estado preencheria ou até mesmos os dois campos deixaria em branco e executava direto para retornar todos os clientes.
No Crystal dentro das opções do parametro tem la uma propriedade de não ser obrigatório o campo mas quando faço chamada por procedure esta opção fica desabilitada.

como vc esta usando procedure, deverá fazer da seguinte forma.
se vc tiver o parametro @UF por exemplo .
no filtro do crystal vc pode passar o valor 'T' para trazer todos.
e na procedure usar uma variavel @Query para armazenar o select da consulta .
antes de executar a @Query vc faz o filtro :
if @UF (diferente) 'T' -- retirando os espacos entre < e >
begin
Set @Query = @Query + ' And UF = ''' + @UF + ''' '
end
Fazendo desta forma , o select irá filtrar a UF somente se o valor passado for diferente de T.
