Megapath is our ISP, whose DNS servers we have set as Forwarder IP Addresses. Am I right that the bad MX record is a result of a failure of Megapath's server?
Thanks much for the assist.

  • Publishing with  wrong server address

    hi guyz
I am using Web application designer and going thru a silly problems while publishing my report in any browser.
whenever i publish my report in  a browser,a wrong server address is generated and i have to manually change the  address each and every time when i run the query.  Can i change the server address somewhere in the settings or is it something to do with the server and basis guyz?
Another problem is refreshing a report never gives the updated query results as in Bex analyzer.
    regards
    abhi

    Abhilash,
this has to do with the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) setting done by basis and also the namethey have maintained in SMICM and in the profiles.
Make sure that all these are in line...

  • Transaction USMD_SSW_RULE --- start on wrong server

    Hello,
when i run transaction USMD_SSW_RULE, then the browser starts with the following link:
    http://bcrsap30................../webdynpro/sap/usmd_ssw_rule?sap-language=EN
but this is the wrong server. The right server is wisap108.
Where can i change this for transaction USMD_SSW_RULE??
    Thanks
    Toni

    Hi,
could be a DNS or Proxy issue - nothing you can control in MDG customizing.
The SICF service is called as well USMD_SSW_RULE.
But if the USMD_CREQUEST service also goes to the wrong server there is definitely something wrong with the basic communication settings of the whole system and nothing specific to the BRF+ service. So your basis team / IT should be able to find some redirection entries ...
BTW - you find a list of all relevant services for MDG to be activate in SICF in the online documentation - e.g. here: Services to be Activated for MDG Web Dynpro Applications - SAP Master Data Governance - SAP Library

I have been experiencing this issue for the last few weeks and it is extremely annoying.  I've called Verizon 7 times and have gotten nothing but the run around.  What's even more annoying is hearing them say there will be a software coming out to correct the problem but they don't know when.  I'm very disappointed in Verizon.  I've been with them for many years.  They were my first and only carrier.  I will definitely not be taking this lying down.  I'm going to get a resolution, and if that means leaving Verizon, then so be it.  And if anyone from Verizon is reading this, PLEASE DO NOT offer up another apology.  I don't want another apology, I want this issue to be corrected, NOW!!

Looks like IIS can do redirects. Perhaps you can have your web support team do a redirect to the Apple supplied url.

  • Reports with wrong Server details (using ODBC name instead of server name)

    Post Author: jomuir
    CA Forum: Administration
When I save a report either in Crystal Reports 11 (File save as, Enterprise u2013 Central Management Server) or Central Manager Console, Objects New Object I get an error.
On looking at the database all reports I am adding or saving are automatically taking the wrong server details, and it is a greyed out field, so I cannot edit it. I presumed it is getting this information from my ODBC settings, but appears to be using the ODBC name/description as the server name (The Database and usernames are correct). This is happening on every report!
Any ideas what I am doing wrong? How I can save or add new reports with the correct details?
Not sure if this will help, but the error message is:- Failed to open the connection. D:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\procSched\wdcsql1.reportjobserver\~tmp117852b044ee296.rpt

    Post Author: jomuir

No, Crystal Reports in not installed on the server, and the ODBC settings are not setup on the server. However I did add the correct ODBC settings on the server but this has made no difference.
So do I need to setup all the ODBC settings in advance of anyone saving a report (I will need to try and find obtain them all)?
Should the server also have a version of Crystal Reports on it?
One report is working but it was added by the guy that installed it, and this report is using the same database as all the reports that I have added, and should be the same ODBC settings.
The server (server username) does not have access to the original location of the reports, so it cannot run the reports - however when I save them to the server via enterprise or the import tool, does a version of the report get saved on the server? If so can you point me in the direction of them, so I can try and run them via the server?

  • Report output looking at the wrong server.

    Basically,
I have split a customers application and data in two as the company is splitting in two.
I have cloned the complete system (VMWare).
However, one of the systems works fine (as it is unchanged) but the other still looks at the first one for some report data and I can't find the reference that I haven't changed.
The original server is web-alpha and the new server is web-beta.
When creating a PDF report from a client machine pointed at web-alpha with the url:
    http://web-alpha/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe?paramform=html&server=Rep60_web-alpha&report=TREP005.REP&userid=me/me@alpha&destype=cache&desformat=PDF
I then accept the defaults of my report.
The pdf file then appears correctly in the web browser and displays under the url:
    http://web-alpha/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe?
When creating a PDF report from a client machine pointed at web-beta with the url:
    http://web-beta/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe?paramform=html&server=Rep60_web-beta&report=TREP005.REP&userid=me/me@beta&destype=cache&desformat=PDF
I then accept the defaults of my report.
The pdf file then appears in the web browser displaying the data from the wrong server and displays under the url:
    http://web-alpha/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe?
Can anyone tell me where it gets the browser reference from?
In the second example, I know that it needs to point to the correct server, but I cannot find the reference, I have even done a full text search of the server for web-alpha, but it is not referenced anywhere.

I have found that the actual problem is when I have paramform=yes or html in the url.
in the html source of the paramform that is displayed, I can see it includes the old server name.
Does anyone know where the paramform is generated from, or is it just a template?
If the report does not require any parameters and I have paramform=no in the url, then it works correctly.

In trying to set up mobile email, I input wrong server and now it keeps trying to verify. How do I get out?

    1. Close all open apps - double-click the Home button and swipe up on all of the thumbnails for all open apps
    2. Reset the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your issues are resolved

  • SSL afloading only goes to one server

                       Hi ,
I enabled SSL Afloading when i tried to access  the servers by using VIP addres (192.168.11.11)  only go to server1 (DB1), i tried with multiple machine and it gave me the same resault. please check the configuration and if it fine or ned to modify.

    Hi Steven,
    The configuration looks fine.
Are all real servers operational? Can you try and shut the server to which all the connections are going, try again and see if the request goes to another server in serverfarm. There shouldn't be an issue if you have tested from different machines since the sticky is based on srcip-destip both.

  • Ok, taking the leap. Tossing out all Windows servers and going with Lion Server only!

Help! We are retiring our Windows 2000 server (finally) and going with Lion Server only. We are transitioning from Windows to Mac and have 30 PC's running XP and a few scattered Windows 7 PC's (Lab). We have teachers and staff using Mac computers. Can I authenticate my windows pc's to Lion server?

    1. We are running lion on the old Xservs because we had them. Thought they still would be good file servers. And we thought Lion would work on them but know that mountain lion will not
    2. We have looked up some errors and they have to do with spotlight not getting index finnished with all the adobe files in folders, subfolders and subsubfolders. The vnode errors have something to do with lots ofmopen files but we do not know why. Maybe all these many directiries of files in deep hierarchy of adobe CS which the department does shared work directly on the server is issue. We have tried to get them tomuse as archive only but they do not habe a clue how to do shared work on separate clients. This deparment is not very savy in use but imtense Adobe CS users and my concern is these old file servers cannot take this kind of use.?
Imposted the logs because i have no clue to why they keep filling up (the vnodes).

  • Server definition goes suddenly wrong with Wordpress site and DW CS5

    Let me explain this simply.
I install a worpdress site, normally, on my local server (xampp).
After setting up the site with the web-install thingy, I start DW.
I set a definition site with the new (not at all improved) site definition dialog-box.
// precision : i'm not new to wordpress and dreamweaver //
Setting up names, access via network/lan, select correct local root folder, set up correct site URL (http://localhost/wp).
Everything works just fine. Setting up "advanced"  "server/technology" to "MySQL/PHP is not forgotten.
// I dislike not having the choice to set remote/testin server within th dialog-box, so i... //
I click on the appropriate checkbox (setting server as testing server).
Well, to that point, if I've made any mistake, this would surprise me.
Opening the index.php base file of my wordpress works just fine. It detects "dependant files" perfectly.
Everything is displayed in the bar. Live view, Inspect and Live code work all fine together. I'm able at this point
to start working. So going back and forth from the wp admin panel and DW I do my tunings (install themes within the admin panel,
modify their CSS inside DW, install extensions and so) everything is still just perfect. I can filter dependant files (for instance to just
have *widget* or *footer* related files.).
To that point, I'm ok. But suddenly (or when I close the main index.php file) and try to reopen it, I have a very funny message
in the bar that should display my dependant files : "well, i cannot display the files I previously displayed because there is a site configuration error,
would you like to reconfigure or to retry discovering files". Well clicking both of the options result in ... nothing...
Trying to reconfigure the server is also pointless (everything is the same). Redifining a site, setting alternate testing servers, anything :
it simply stay stuck to that silly error message.., silly in the sense that if I try to use live view, live code and inspection, the page would just display
fine. I can Alt-click on elements to have a view to the selectors that style the elements. So it works... partially... except for the files thet are no more discovered.
It's beens 5 times this "funny" event happened to me, I gave up last week. I reinstalled totally from scratch a new wp today. It crashed again 20 minutes ago.
    Any idea ?
Any interest in retrieving the old site definition dialog box ? (I do have)

    Jenni & James...
If your OS is Windows, why don't you try WAMP Server...
    http://www.wampserver.com/en/
It's now also available in a 64 bit version.

    Jeff:
I have gotten hostname as you suggested, and thus far seen one Helo failure prior to that, so thanks for the tip.
The queue is running like 150k to 170k, I've got content filter off right in order to isolate problems.
This wrong account issue is causing some severe creditability issues with this server as you can imagine.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Workstation Import/Removal going into wrong containers!?@

We want our workstations in their proper containers. We have 900 of them
in *our* 300SM.ABQ.NM.NM container, while only having 300 computers at
    this location.
We created an Application Object (AO) to:
    1) zwsreg.exe -unreg
    (runs as a pre-distribution script)
    2) zwsreg.exe -importserver 172.16.13.2
(the server specific to this container.)
We logged the results, only to find PCs with "registered" into the proper
container had "jumped" to another container upon next login!
Are our options for zwsreg incomplete/incorrect? The DN settings are
ambiguous - does it mean the .CN=blah level or the .OU=blahblah level?
Are we required to say -importpolicy, or is it implied by the
-importserver having its own Workstation Import Policy?
Here's the clipping of the AO's log....

Your import policy would determins where the object goes then you would
    do this
zwsreg -importserver 192.168.10.250 -importpolicy "Server Policy
    Name:General:Workstation Import.someOU.someO"
Replace "Server Policy Name" with whatever your import policy is, and
the .someOU.someO with the path to that policy.

  • Missing Images and CSS when going to portal/server.pt can't login

    Hi,
I installed WebCenterInteraction_10.3.0.0.0 on Windows and followed all the steps mentioned in the install doc. Deployed the portal.ear and here is what I see on the command line after deployment:
    Task #1 (InitPortalObjects) END (OK)
    Task #2 (CheckDevKit) END (OK)
    Task #3 (InitializePaths) END (OK)
    Task #4 (InitializeApplication) END (OK)

    Task #13 (InitializeObjects) END (OK)
    Task #14 (LoadCustomLoads) END (OK)
    Task #15 (CheckDBVersion) END (OK)
    Aqualogic Interaction startup successful.
        ======= Diagnostic Run Complete =======
Startup completion percentage: 100% (50 steps out of 50 complete)
===== Portal should now start successfully ===== But when I go to http://localhost:7001/portal/server.pt I don't see any images and the css is not applied so can't login. Any idea what might be wrong. Here is the Apache httpd.conf
    Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/"
    # Based upon the NCSA server configuration files originally by Rob McCool.
    # This is the main Apache server configuration file.  It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/> for detailed information about
    # the directives.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
    #  1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
    #     whole (the 'global environment').
    #  2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
    #     which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
    #     These directives also provide default values for the settings
    #     of all virtual hosts.
    #  3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
    #     different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
    #     same Apache server process.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
    # will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
    # confusion.
    ### Section 1: Global Environment
    # The directives in this section affect the overall operation of Apache,
    # such as the number of concurrent requests it can handle or where it
    # can find its configuration files.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # NOTE!  If you intend to place this on an NFS (or otherwise network)
    # mounted filesystem then please read the LockFile documentation (available
    # at <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mpm_common.html#lockfile>);
    # you will save yourself a lot of trouble.
    # Do NOT add a slash at the end of the directory path.

    # ScoreBoardFile: File used to store internal server process information.
    # If unspecified (the default), the scoreboard will be stored in an
    # anonymous shared memory segment, and will be unavailable to third-party
    # applications.
    # If specified, ensure that no two invocations of Apache share the same
    # scoreboard file. The scoreboard file MUST BE STORED ON A LOCAL DISK.
    #ScoreBoardFile logs/apache_runtime_status
    # PidFile: The file in which the server should record its process
    # identification number when it starts.
    PidFile logs/httpd.pid
    # Timeout: The number of seconds before receives and sends time out.
    Timeout 300
    # KeepAlive: Whether or not to allow persistent connections (more than
    # one request per connection). Set to "Off" to deactivate.
    KeepAlive On
    # MaxKeepAliveRequests: The maximum number of requests to allow
    # during a persistent connection. Set to 0 to allow an unlimited amount.
    # We recommend you leave this number high, for maximum performance.
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
    # KeepAliveTimeout: Number of seconds to wait for the next request from the
    # same client on the same connection.

I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
    1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
    2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
    3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
    Hope this helps.
