Release 4 is not compatible with Trend Micro Virus Software. I need to go back to the former release. How do I do that?
Need instructions for de-installing release 4. Or, do I need to completely remove Mozilla and start over?
1. First Uninstall Firefox 4.0 Using the Add and Remove Programs function found in control panel. Make sure not to delete your personal settings while uninstalling.
2. Download Firefox 3.6 from this page by [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html clicking here].
3. Install Firefox 3.6 and you will be back to the old version.
* Please note Firefox 3.6 will only be supported until at least the middle of 2011.

On add-ons manager, I see that Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extention 6.5.0.1234 is not compatible with Firefox 4.0.1. I have contacted Trend and been told that their builders have not yet created a product that is compatible. I think this means that I should revert to an older version of Firefox until my internet security is updated. How do I do this? I'm clueless. :) Or, is there a better solution?

I got a message to up grade Firefox so I did. At a certain time in the process a message came up and said that you have some add ons that aren't compatible with this software so they will be disabled. At this time I tried to stop the up grade because I don't like things just being disabled, but it would not allow me to do so. As I continued to the next screen it told me that the software that was disabled was my anti-virus software. I run a business on my computer and am not happy that the protection of my computer and its contents is at risk.
Firefox 4 is itself no longer supported and is not secure so the choice is between firefox 5 and firefox 3.6.
Firefox 5 currently [/questions/839953#answer-205178 has problems] with the McAfee site advisor, but the McAfee AV still works ok with it; is that the AV you are using or is it something else ? -
Currently using version 3.6.27 as the updated versions are not compatible with my low vision software called Zoomtext. I constantly get Firefox asking me to upgrade. How can I get it to stop asking me to upgrade. (I have tried each upgrade and they are all incompatible with Zoomtext.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.

Hi. I just discovered my videos from my Canon digital camera are not compatible with imovie or idvd (I'm very disappointed about that.) The photos are stored in my iphoto and I can burn a dvd using idvd but there is no audio So.... I need new software. I have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 and my digital still camera is the Canon Cybershot These are home movies of my kids and the viedeos are precious. Thanks in advance!

Microsoft's site says firefox 3 is compatible with windows 7. however, i've upgraded to firefox 5 and now system crashes to the blue screen.

I was given an iMac desktop computer, operating system OSX 10.4.8 (2011). The network admin utility is not compatiable with my airport extreme router, and I am unable to connect to the internet to update the software. Can someone please tell me how to update the software or download a newer version on the network admin, or how to connect this computer to the internet?

This linksys bridge is the safest solution since it doesn't require any Mac OS drivers.
Airport ExpressAirport Express is an external unit and you can configure it as a bridge. 802.11n ( I bevieve you will need a more modern version of Mac OS X to configure. Sadly, Apple uses a configuration program to configure, not a web browser. )

Just updated to OSX 10.9.2 at invitation of Apple, but find I now have no access to iphoto and all prior photos in my Mac are gone. It says iphoto isn't compatible with this version. All other prior documents, podcasts, music etc is intact. Where are the photos?
iPhoto versions older than 9.5 are incompatible with Mavericks. Version 9 or later should be eligible for a free upgrade to the current version in the App Store. Versions older than 9 will need a paid upgrade.

After installing Trend, most websites no longer load completely. After hours of trouble shooting, I finally did a chat where I found out that Trend 2012 is incompatible with Firefox 14 (version 9 was recommended).Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try some of the following programs to scan for malware:

I want to upgrade to iPhoto/iMovie '11 but the latest release is not compatible with OSX 10.6.8
Can I buy an older version anywhere? Or am I being coerced into buying Lion? I tried looking through the app store but it seems increasingly likely that I'm going to have to buy an old iLife disc of someone, or upgrade. Unfortunately I'm using a late 2007 Macbook (not even Macbook pro) which handles leopard but not sure if it will handle Lion.

I use G4 MacIntosh, System 10.5.8. I keep getting pop-ups asking me to upgrade my version of Firefox. But when I try to install I get the message that Firefox cannot operate with my computers architecture. How can I stop the pop-ups?
I believe Firefox 4 is Intel only. That means it will not install on a PPC Mac. You can get TenFourFox, which is made for PPCs.

Yosemite not compatible with camera or transfer software
I don't think this Yosemite fully functioning. With Mavericks I was able to connect a USB cable to my computer and the file just popped up. Now due to this upgrade it is not recognizing my camera. Can someone please help with a solution. I went to Nikon but there was nothing there that discussed upgrading due to Mac's Yosemite upgrade. I connected my Sony camera and everything uploaded just fine. I don't know why I'm having these problems when I connect the Nikon. Help please

Unless your Nikon uses the same cable that the working Sony uses, try another Nikon cable.
Also, be sure you have installed the latest OS X 10.10 RAW update, currently Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.01.
