Release activitis are not build in CBS, sending an empty archive

I have created an activity and released from the NWDS Development Configuration.
Now from the consolidation i have imported .Assembled and moved this to test but my changes are not moved to the test system.
Then i started to dig in to this issue and I found this log in consolidation CBS make details as below :

The problem is resolved for vendor relication after applying the below notes 1313972 and 1372175.
ECC sandbox seems to be in 701 release. When the backend system ECC is in release 701, vendor replication fails with the error message that 'Backend system release 701 not supported'. We need to apply notes 1313972 and 1372175 to fix this issue. I have applied them in Sandbox and the issue is resolved now.

Can u please check that once u release the request from DEV it should be appear in QA COFILE and DATAFILE or not...u have to physically check it .....
and if yes then u can also import that file through ADDTOBUFFER and IMPORT command at command prompt level.

When I am trying to replicate vendor data from EEC to crm 4.0 via BBPGETVD.
I get the error message"backend systems with release 700 are not supported"
Is anyone have Idea what is wrong? and how can fix it?

Yossi,
I believe that standard transaction does not work with ECC 6.0. The standard response would be to upgrade your CRM system to 5.0 so that you can download vendors from ECC 6.0.
Bascially the vendor replication programs in CRM below 5.0 aren't really that reliable for delta downloads(one error will cause an entire load to fail). So you probably at best should copy the SAP standards to generate custom load programs as a starting point.
It is not too difficult and overcomes some of the restrictions that SAP puts in place(i.e. you can only use one number range for vendors downloaded, etc.). This is definitely one of the weak points of CRM 4.0 that was fixed in CRM 5.0.

1. We are getting Error "Backend systems with Release 701 are not supported " while replicating vendors from ECC 6.0 backend system to SRM 5.0 system.
There are some notes on simillar topic but are not for SRM 5.0 ,suggested on SDN. an anyone please suggest what need to be done for the same.
2. Can we replicate Vendor Master Data with Contact Person from SRM to ECC system ? if yes, How ?

On recent upgrade of the ECC back-end system to release '701' the program BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA_JOB is getting errored out. If you are using SRM 5.0 , SRM_SERVER 550 with ECC backend Release 701 you encounter the above reported problem

BBPGETVD throwing an error -Backend system with release 701 are not support

After changing the Backend connection from R3 4.6c to ECC6 sysem in our BBPCRM4.0,
the transaction "BBPGETVD" is not working, which is throwing an error as
"Backend system with release 701 are not supported".
Already we have applied some of the notes (822883 &862290)

Are you able to replicate other data like plants, product categories from the same backend system or are you facing the same error?
Also please check the logical system and see if they are assigned to the client correctly. (in SPRO settings)

Released request are not in import queue

Hi,
Please go to SE01, select your request(s) and on the next screen click on the request. In the opened screen navigate to the properties tab and see what target system you have defined for the transport. If there is no definition, transport is considered as local and will not be released to cofile/data folders (but stays in E070). You have to define the correct target system as it's defined in TMS to make you request tranportable

Actual dates from confirmed activities are not rolled up to wbs

In my Business Scenario, I need Project Definition, WBS, and Network
header to derive dates from activities assigned to them. I indicate the
Project definition start date and rest of the schedule need to happen
which is achieved through config i have done
I have created a project with two WBS and one network attached to
project definition. 4 activities of the network are attached to these
WBS
When I have done the scheduling, the basic dates are properly
calculated for Project Definition, network header and WBS
Now I have released the project and started confirming the activities.
After complete conformation of 1st activity, i have schedule the
project to see the dates. Now the dates of Project Definition, network
header and WBS are derived by the activities which are not confirmed.
Ideally the basic dates of Project Definition, network header and WBS
are to be derived from activities confirmed and yet to be confirmed the
way the basic dates are derived before confirmation.
As a result of this the basic dates are showing wrong dates which are
derived from unconfirmed activities

This is standard system behaviour.
Basic dates at WBS level do not change based on activity confirmation. However, actual dates at WBS level get updated from network activities based on confirmation.
"Tentative actual start date for WBS element" and "Tentative actual finish date" get updated from activity confirmation in the case of WBS with activities assigned to it.
This tentative dates can later be transferred as actual dates.
Basic dates do not get automatically updated based on confirmation of activities

OLE Objects are not displayed properly-overlap characters and empty page

I'm using CR4E 12 Runtime libraries to load and view reports that are created in CR designer v10. Some of the OLE Objects (not all) are not displayed properly.
1) A full page contains terms and conditions as ole object is not at all displayed and just shown as black image.
2) Some data in a table (OLE Object) shown as overlapped characters.
Any body know the reason and is there any workaround to solve this issue?

Your problem seems to be with the character encoding you are using for your text. A quick google search for ColdFusion character encoding should turn up the answer. In case you are interested in learning more:

Cons buildspace not building in CBS

We've run into a snag in our JDI build process. Somehow, even though all of our DCs build fine in the dev buildspace, they fail in the cons buildspace. We know the exact locations of the build failures and the specific files look OK. It isn't related to external dependencies. So, something is off in the source code.
Has anyone else encoutered a problem like that? Would synching the two DTR branches up so they are consistent help (cons and dev)? How would I do that?

Hello Rob,
Since you are using SP11, you can use the following utility in DTR to compare workspaces in DEV and CONS. Please log into DTR and from the base url (http://<serverName>:<port>/dtr), Please follow the path System-tools > Reports > Workspace Comparison. You can use this page to compare any 2 workspaces. So, to find
1. Unreleased activities:
The left workspace would be DEV/active and the right workspace would be CONS/inactive. You can check for integrations to know the activities that have not been integrated into cons (and if there are any, you can release and import them).
2. Pending activities:
The left workspace would be cons/inactive and the right workspace would be CONS/active. You can check for integrations to know the activities and activate if there are any.
As a sanity check, you can check all files between dev/active and cons/active to make sure they are identical.
As for the child DC, if it is not used by anyone else, I don't see how it would cause a problem. However, you might want to delete the child DC locally to see whether it results in any of the DCs being broken.
If all this doesn't work - you might want to work with the finer details. Please look at the build log of the broken DC to see what the compile time errors are and that will give you an idea of which DC the problem is due to.
Do get back to me in case of any clarifications.
