Release all compound paths at the same time?

Platform: PC/Windows XP SP2
Adobe: Illustrator CS3 (13.0.2)
Is it possible to release all compound paths in an illustration at the same time (and if so - how)?
I receive drawings from engineering in either PDF or CGM format, which I edit in Illustrator and save as AI. I have to release compound paths in order to delete specific parts of the drawing.
This isn't difficult, but it is very time-consuming because the CGM(or PDF)-to-Illustrator conversion results in quite a few compound paths.

How to transform a layer object and a path at the same time?

Hi all,
I know I am going to kick myself when you tell me the answer to this!
I would really like to know if there is any way I can manage to to transform both a layer object and a path at the same time....or if there is any workaround to achieve this.
In a nutshell, say for example I spend a VERY long time creating an intricate path around a very detailed object, and then at the very end notice just how crooked and out of perspective it is, and would like to straighten it.
Of course I could transform and correct the object, and then carefully transform the path - but it just won't be exact, and I will have to spend a long time adjusting the path and making SURE it is perfect.
Isn't there any way I could get to transform them together?
Usually of course I do all the correction to straighten and correct perspective beforehand, but in some instances after I am done creating the path I then notice that the image could have used further adjustments.
I appreciate so very much any advice you may have:)

Okay...I found another way as well... suddenly it all started coming to me in the last few minutes:)
Once the image is on it's own layer, then we can select the path and then make a vector mask by going to "Layer>Vector Mask>Current Path". Once the vector mask is created, simply click on the image icon on it's layer, then transform away to your heart's content, and the path is transformed along with it. Once finished, the path for the vector mask can be saved as usual. (Don't click on the vector mask icon when transforming the image, otherwise only the path will be transformed.)

Hi I'm working on a background for a web page and I want to try how different filters are going to affect all the layers. Is it possible to apply a filter to all the layers without flattening the file first? Thanks very much,

Hello!
There is no need to flatten the file, but you can create a layer that merges all the content of the image, and apply the filter on that layer.
Target the topmost layer, by holding the Option and . (period) keys, then create a merged copy by holding down Command Shift Option E.

3. Hide the path (command-H)
4. Command-T
5. Command-H again to make the path (vector mask) visible

Warp image and path at the same time

I have this pepper, cut out from the background with a vector mask. We need the path for cutting out the printed pepper on our plotter.
From this same pepper we need some variations, like the pictures below (top one is original + path, bottom one is one of many variations).
I made a smart object from the pepper with vector mask and distorted it using a custom warp. I can rasterize the layer, but i can't find a way to bring the distorted path to the parent psd.
How can i distort both the pixels and vector mask at the same time? So i can place different versions in illustrator without needing to redraw the vector mask for each variation.

Ok got to the bottom of this. Turns out it won't work if you have an existing Warp transformation applied to a Smart Object, and a vector mask linked to that. But it will work the first time.
Thinking it through you realise that this is logical, because it would need to produce a kind of "compound Warp", using the existing Transform values applied to the object already, and then applying the new ones. Only one set of Warp values to the mask, and two to the Smart Object. They are not compatible operations.

HT2905 What if they were all added at exactly the same time?

I imported music from my old laptop, and now there are duplicates and triplicates of most of the songs in my library. They were all added at the same time though, so I cannot simply delete the older ones. Is there any quick way to get rid of extra copies of songs? Deleting them one by one would take a whole day.

That's not possible in Kuler.
You can download theme with whichever rule you have selected. For all rules, you need to create different themes and download each one individually.

How can I load multiple compositions, all to play at the same time? eg 3 slideshows

Hoping someone at adobe edge animate can help me with some custom code as I need to load 3 different compositions all onto the same webpage.
I have been through the Bootstrapper instructions thoroughly and have tweaked the code to try to get it to do what I require but I still can't make this work.
I have 2 slideshows one footer one banner and also a small logo animation.. all need to reload and loop continuously.
So far I have managed to get all three up but they all interfere with each other and none are playing properly.
This is an urgent job for a client so I would really apprecaite some help.

On the iPhone I'm afraid you are not able. I would suggest you go to the address book you are syncing to on your computer and delete them there, then re-sync. It should delete them from your iPhone.

How to display all validator messages at the same time?

Hi Guys,
I have a form with validators attached to a couple of my input boxes. I tried to write validators which are reusable in other parts of my app ie. social security number check etc. I also then customized the messages and it all works fine.
But when I submit the form it displays the messages one at a time, in other words every validator is performed and if there was an error the form is rendered. I believe this is how it should behave and that's fine.
But what if I want all validators to be performed when I submit the form?Then all messages are displayed at the top of the page and the user can make all his changes and try again. This makes more sense to me.
So my question is whether there is a way to force the page to perform all validators when the page is submitted and then display all error messages in a h:messages tag?

p.s. i know about and use the hidden input field validator hack which does all validations, but if I do it that way I duplicate the code which does the social security check for all applicable forms.

Strange, I was under the impression that all validators were run by default. In my JSF apps, all the validators run and output their errors without any special confguration to make this happen.
I wonder why yours are just running one at a time? Could you show some of your JSP code, and the hidden field validator code?

Minimizing all FCP windows at the same time

There are times I would like to minimize FCP, and not one window at a time - Is there a way to do this? It's faster for me to quit FCP, and restart than it is to close the viewer, canvas, etc..

I'm looking for flexibility right now - Primarily, looking to hide FCP to see the desktop. I am new to both the Mac and FCP (~ 1 week), and am currently in the playing/learning mode - I imagine a number of things I need/want now will not be needed once I'm comfortable - Right now, I can't rely on things I'm used to from the PC world, and am expending energy/focus on simple things - like where to find OS help, fighting routine keyboard instincts, etc. Not even to mention recalling FCP stuff - like using "J, K, L" keys, and was that "shift+Z", or Z,, ..... etc.
Command-H is a good thing to know - not sure quickest way to pick up these basics - Your reply was the type of thing I was looking for. I read some of the replies to my post, and don't know if others will understand why I want to hide FCP. Quite frankly, there are times I want FCP off the monitor, to get some "distance" and let things percolate. This may not make sense to all, or may no longer be in the memory of those who have been using FCP for a while, but this helps me.
