RElease Codes triggerd without configured.

Hi,
There are two release codes maintained in the release strategy. Problem is, when creating a PO usimg the conditions of that release strategy there are 3 release codes comes out, considering I maintained only two release codes. I checked the setting and no erorr found in the configuration.
Please help me to determine the solution of this issue. Your help is relly appreciated.

Jhe

Hi,
This is not "Unusual" in my experience.  With no exaggeration, I can say, not below 50 such recurring issues I addressed so far.
How it happens? -
When release strategy are setup and started using, during maintenance, the individuals changing the config should be very Logical.  I mean, for some reason, if some release strategies have to be modified, the path should be exactly opposite to how it is setup.
For example, to configure first time a release strategy, all we would do is -
1) Create a Release Group
2) Create Release Code
3)  Create a Release Indicator
4) Then, setup Release Strategy
5) Work flow.
While modifying, we have to do exactly in the opposite way...
Say, for example, I have to delete a Release code....I have seen 99% of consultants go wrong...Simply they go to step# 2 straight away and select the Release code and delete.
What happens, then? -
It gives us an impression that it has deleted the release code successfully.  Some times, like in your case now, from the screen area of configuration in the next step say#4, you may see  release code is deleted as well.  You will be satisfied.  However, it still, may be lingering in the tables.  I figured it out proactively  when first time encounted this issue.  Later it has become a cake walk.  After a couple of months, I have seen SAP has released a OSS note exactly the same way how I thought and did....
From the technical name of each field of this configuration area of release strategy,  find out the table name.  Go to SE16 and if you find those entries (which are not there in configuration), simply delete those entries from there.  SE16 may not be open for deleting the entries.  The way you could do is...
Reconfigure those additional entries appearing in the tables, agin in the release strategy configuration.  This time, delete the entries exactly in the opposite way as explained above.  You will see those entries are deleted in the tables too...
This is the only way you can fix it.
Just wanted to share my experience, to help you come out of such major headache!! please ignore if your problem there is some thing totally different.

  • Incorrect Release code called which is not defined in a Release Strategy!

    Dear Gurus,
I am facing a problem in Release strategy for a specific Purchase Requisition document type. My Release Strategy has two Release Codes for the Approval of a PR. When i create that document type of Purchase Requsition, Same Release Strategy is called, system picks the Two release codes from my Strategy but also pick another Release code which is not defined in my Release Strategy.
Kindly help me and let me know.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
In Release Simulation (segment of Release Statergy), just  click and you will have small pup up screen and there just double click the release codes all you have and you can see all unwanted release codes will be dissapeared and you have only now needed release codes what you configured for the release statergy. Now similuate  release & set/reset release .

  • PFTC, container tab, getting 'Release codes' without classifi !!!!

    Hello,
I am settingup workflow for pur/req.
After making MMsettings in MM-config(MM > Purchasing > PR > Release Procedure > With Classification > Set Up Procedure, --Workflow.
Now I have made settings SWETYPV and SWDD and it automatically bring the task against WS20000077.
But do I need to activate it?
In PFTC, container tab, it is only getting 'Release codes' without classification (which we are not using).
In SWDD also (after pressing Test icon) I am getting 'Release codes without classification.
I don't know why it is not picking 'Release codes with classification'. However it is picking correct release codes in Pur/req header.
Can you please put some light on it.
    Many thanks.
    JAT

    Hello !
Purchase requisition release procedures for "with classification" and "without classification" are mutually exclusive.
I think, release procedures for "with classification" and "without classification" are configured in your system.
So, deleting the configuration for release procedures for "without classification" will help you to accomplish the requirement.

  • Any BAPI to release SE without asking for release code? (to set ESSR-KZABN)

    Hi guys,
I have a requirement such that: Currently, all the BAPIs to relase SE requires the entry of a release code to approve SEs.
We have some SEs that are not subjected to release strategies, therefore not requiring release code to be entered. But in order for these SEs to generate a Receipt number, the acceptance indicator (ESSR-KZABN) needs to be flagged.
Is there a standard BAPI that allows releasing of SEs but without prompting the release code field as a mandatory requirement.

  • Final Release codes shows only 5 levels

  • Release strategy: User should release only with his highest release code

    Hello,
Because of personel absences we want to configure the release strategy so that:
User A or user B releases in the normal case the first level of a PO (with release code 01).
User C (Manager) releases after release code 01 with release code 02.
User A is deputy of user C. In this case user B will release with code 01 and user A will release with code 02.
Because user A can use depending of the case release code 01 or 02 (C deputy) it must be avoided that user B sets release code 01 and 02 for the same purchase order.
Do you know about a solution for this issue
    Br
    Manuel

    Dear W1N,
But the systems knows that A released with code 01 and when A tries to release  with code 02 the system knows that the same person of release code 01 is trying with release code 02.
<b>The aim is to avoid the second release from the same person and not to automate the release strategy.</b>
In such a case A has to cancel the release for code 01 (ME28) and wait until B is reachable to do the release of code 01.
When C is absent A knows that his task is to release code 02.
Is this check really not possible?
    Best regards

  • How to set Report Location by RAS SDK without configurating CCM in CR Serve

    Dear all
When I use the RAS SDK with CR Server Embedded 2008, I found that when I use the Java code to open a report like below:
    String localRptPath = "rassdk://C:
    oem.rpt";
    reportClientDoc.open(localRptPath,OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
But I must set the Report Directory from the default value(a specified location after CRSE installation)to " * " in CCM of the RAS Server like below:
Right click the RAS Server -> Choose "Propertites" -> Choose "Parameter" -> Change "Option Type" to "Server" -> set the Report Directory from the default value to " * "
Then I can open the report, otherwise I must put the report under the Default Location of the Report Directory.
So customer need a way which can set the report location directly in RAS SDK and without configurating the Report Direcroty in CCM?
    Thanks in advance.
    David

    Dear all
I encounter some strange situation when editing the "Report Directory":
In my Vmware, there are 2 "ReportDirectoryPath" under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Report Application Server\Instances\bouser.RAS\Server\LocalConnectionMgr
    and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Report Application Server\Server\LocalConnectionMgr
I can only edit the "ReportDirectoryPath" in the former location and then take effectively in the CCM. And if I modify the "ReportDirectoryPath" in the latter location, it can not take effect.
But in customer machine, customer install CR2008 and CRASE2008, and customer can edit the value in the registry, but after customer uninstall the CR2008 and CRSE2008 then reinstall CRSE2008 only, the registry structure is different, there is not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Report Application Server\Instances\bouser.RAS\, so customer can only edit the "ReportDirectoryPath" under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Report Application Server\Server\LocalConnectionMgr
    And it can work effectively.
And I can not rebuild this.
So I found that when there are 2 location of the "ReportDirectoryPath", I can only modify it under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Report Application Server\Instances\bouser.RAS\Server\LocalConnectionMgr
    So my question is:
Why the registry structure is different after reinstall the CRSE2008?
Because customer need the firm registry location to modify it.

  • Release Code In Release Strategy

    Dear Experts,
We have configured the release strategy for PR on Devlopment Client.
    1. I have created necessary Characteristics and Classes  on devlopmnt client and configured the startegy and it has been applied succesfully on Dev client.
Now i want to transport the same to the PRD client , should i require the characteristics and Class again in the PRD client, as else can be transported to the PRD client.
    2. Also we have user XYZ who is Purchase manager and we have release code R1 in strategy.
How can i map R1 to XYZ, what is the T Code for the same and authorize him to use ME29N for release of PR.
    Best Regards,
    sap User

    Just follow steps:
    PFCG
Create a role or change existing Purchasing role
    Maintain the authorization profile:
Manually add authorization object MM_E (MM: Purchasing) if doesn't exist, otherwise just change the existing one.
Add sub-object M_EINK_FRG (Release Code and Group) to above mentioned object MM_E
Add Release Code R1, you may also need release group XXX
    Generate and Save
Then SU01 assign the role to User Purchase_Mgr.
    Hope this helps.

  • Mapping Release Code to User

    Dear Experts,
We have configured the release strategy .
Also we have user XYZ who is Purchase manager and we have release code R1 in strategy.*
How can i map R1 to XYZ, what is the T Code for the same and authorize him to use ME29N for release of PR.
    Best Regards,
    sap User

Through the T-Code : PFCG you have to create the Authorization group .
the authorization group should contain the object:
    Z:PO_APPROVER_00 ( Authorization group name).
    Add manually the object.
First select the object  MM_E (Materials Management: Purchasing)
    Under that select M_EINK_FRG
    Assign values properly to the
    Release code: FRGCO
    Release group :FRGGR
After that use the T-Code : SU01 to provide the rights to the user XYZ.

  • Release Code and Strategy

    Hi,
We have created a new release code and its corresponding release strategy. But when we are trying to release the PO, the PO goes to a release code not maintained in the system. What could possibly be lacking in my config?
Scenario : I created release code T1 but the PO goes to release code F2 (which is not configured in the system). Please help.

    Hi,
It happens some time , it is taking default values.
I will suggest you to delete all the release codes  and release strategy maintained in the system.
    After deleting pl Save it.
Now you create your release codes and maintain release strategy again.
    Def now it will work.

  • PO release strategy - release code

    Hi Experts,
I have completed the release strategy and transported to production.
However noticed that the release codes that has been configured earlier wasn't in the production.
Is there a way to update the release codes in the production besides using SPRO (no authorisation for maintaining - only display) like using CL24N to update the characteristics?
    Thanks and regards

    Hi,
Please first check the attached notes that refer to transport issues.
365604   FAQ: Release strategies in purchasing
186809   OMGQ/CL24: Inconsistency for release strategy class
86900   Transport of Release strategies (OMGQ,OMGS)
45951   Transporting class data: system / client
10745   Copying classification data to another client
The classification data must be sent over using ALE. It does not get
transported directly.  Notes 45951, 86900 and note 365604 should help.
Please follow the instructions in note 45951.
You can obtain more information about how to set-up ALE in the Online
Documentation CD (R/3 Library > CA - Cross Aplication Components >
Business Framework Architecture > ALE Integration Technology > ALE Quick
    start).
However, if you can't set-up ALE, you can re-create the classification
data agin in your target system. For that you have to:
1- assign new values to the characteristic master data (t-code CT02)
2- assign the new data to the classification system (t-code CL30)
3- verify the consistency with t-code CL24. Please see note 186809.
For more information, please see note 365604.
The transport of release procedure customizing data can only be done
in a restricted manner. Please take a look at attached Note 86900 and
follow the procedure described in this note, in order to correctly
    transport your release strategies.
Classification data can only be transported via ALE as per note 45951.
Note 45951 explains what class data for the release strategy will be
distributed from one system to another. It does not describe how to
implement as this involves a lot of explanation and is truely a
    consulting issue.
There is another possibility that you could take into consideration for
the classification is to import them via batch input:
    RCCTBI01 for creating characteristics
    RCCLBi01 for creating classes
    RCCLBI03 for classification
