Release date column

Sometimes the release date for the podcast from the website is different, causing the podcast to be out of order when downloaded. Does anyone know why? Is there a way to fix it? I can't drag and drop to sort on the release date column.

Can release date only be change by the web master after I receive/download the podcast., Which if out of the continuos sequence date order changes the sequence displayed in the podcast library. Such as a podcast auto downloaded on august 8/13/07 with release date of 8/7/07, it would then show up/display under the 8/7/07 instead of 8/13/07. Is there anything I can do to correct this in the podcast library, besides making a playlist, then transferring everything over in the correct order?
Can anyone answer the above question?
2nd-Is this done on purpose or just human mistakes ?

  • Newbie here re: release date column

I am simply trying to get the release dates of all my songs so I can organize files on say, "the 90's" etc. I added the release date column, but there are no release dates showing up. Is this a download feature?

    Referring to the FeedValidator Report:
line 38: use of uppercase F is probably the issue here
line 41: 'type' must be audio/mpeg
line 8: this 'title' tag is within the 'image' tag, not read by iTunes. It doesn't really matter if it's empty.
line 20: this tag is not normally read by iTunes. It should not contain complex html.
line 41: it's confused because this date is in the future
line 41: the 'itunes:summary' and also the 'itunes:subtitle' tags should be restricted to plain text. If you include html the coding will be displayed (looking very untidy) not rendered.
None of these errors is fatal: the feed can be subscribed to in iTunes (from the 'Advanced' menu - always a useful test) but you should address these issues.

  • Sort by release date is not possible in itunes 9

    hello,
in itunes 9 there is no release-date-column in the results-table available after using the itunes search, is there a solution at the planning stage?
it was very useful and now only available when using the columns-browser, but it´s not helpful, if you´re searching a song without knowing the artist...
    thanks for answering me.

Sorry, but, as this is a user to user forum, no one here would know what Apple is planning.
Submit your feedback directly to Apple:

But keep in mind they won't answer you.

  • Release Date in Get Info always 6/5/1905 and not editable?

In Get Info, in the new iTunes, the Release Date is not editable.  However, when downloading books and importing into iTunes, the Release date is always 6/5/1905.  Now I don't think either music or books or anything likely to be downloaded was released in 1905, so, why is the field not editable?
    Thank you,
    Laura

Actually I never noticed a field called "Release Date" in Get Info of previous versions, only Year.  And there is no Release Date field shown in any of my music Get Info.  If I try to access Get Info for albums, it asks me if I want to "edit information for multiple items."  If I click on Edit Items, there is still no Release Date field - just Year.
However, not one of the Release Dates are correct in any of the books, i.e. those imported into iTunes both before and after the latest "upgrade."   AND the Release Date column is blank for them all.  So what is it for, anyway?
It is a pity that, if it isn't editable, it should be able to be removed or added depending on the need.
Just found out another weirdness.  In the Audiobook List Genre is no longer there.  It is in the Playlists, thank heaven, but not in the master list where it really should be.  It IS in Music, but not in books.  How weird.  I hope that is an oversight and will be fixed.
    Thank you for your response.

  • Podcast episode "Release date" problem

on iTunes podcast screen some of "A state of trance" episodes shiw the release date is 1/1/2001 but when i choose "get info" it shows the correct date for some but for another episodes it is showing "1/1/1904"!!! please help how to solve this so it shows the correct release date inorder to get the episodes sorted correctly

I assume you mean this podcast?
    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/state-trance-official-podcast/id260190086?mt =2
(not one you've created yourself). The publishing date shows correctly in the iTunes Store and in iTunes when subscribing, but if you Get Info the 'Puchase date' is 1-1-04 - this is a default date because no date has been set. As you haven't actually purchased the episode it's irrelevant (it shows the purchased date on songs bought in the Store).
So where in iTunes are you seeing this? Are you using 'List' view or 'My Podcasts' view? The latter shows the release date, taken from the feed; in List view the Release Date column will show the correct date, but if you have the Purchased Date column enabled in View>Show View Options that will show the 1-1-04 date.

  • Can Release Date metadata field be made editable on updates ?

    Hi,
When we check in a new content Release date metadata field appears as an editable field. But on subsequent metadata updates it appears as a non editable field. Is it possible to make the release date field as editable ?
    Regards,
    Bhaskar

    Hi Tim,
Whenever my customer makes changes to the Contribution Site through site studio, he wants to have hold on the Release date also. But currently release date becomes non editable when we do any metadata update. Is it possible to make this Release Date column editable or is there any option in Site Studio so that when the customer makes changes to the contribution site, before he saves the data there should be a pop up of update document information page with the release date column being editable ?
    Regards,

  • Search Genre by Release Date?

Is there a way I can search by release date in iTunes store?
For example, if I wanted to find all Soul/R&B released in the last week, does iTunes store allow that kind of search?

The next time you're poking around in the iTunes Store, go to the iTunes View menu > View Options, check Release Date and press OK.
By clicking on the Release Date column heading you can now have the items you're looking at sorted in that order.
Unfortunately, my experience has been that ths View Setting is not saved for the iTunes Store and you will often have to go back to reactivate it.

  • FEATURE REQUEST: Allow Smart Playlists to sort by Release Date

I listen to my iPod in my car and have a one of those kits where you can control your iPod through your stock stereo (i.e. select playlists by pressing buttons 1-6, and changing tracks with the next track/ last track buttons). One of my playlists is a smart playlist that looks for all downloaded audio podcasts that have not yet been played. As of right now, I have to go into the playlist after every update and reorder the podcasts manually in order from earliest release to newest release. The only date-sorting column right now is "date added". This doesn't work because if I update and download two or three episodes from one podcast, they all have the same date in that field, even if they were released on different days.
Please iTunes, allow a column heading that sorts podcasts by Release Date. This would make my life a lot easier and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know when I'm looking at all my podcasts from the Podcast-Manager portion of iTunes that I can see the Release Date column, however it is not an available column outside of that view.
Anybody else wanna see this feature?

I was looking for the exact funtion too. Please don't make our life any harder

  • How can I get column sorting to work again when column sort is stuck on release date in the different views (list, album list, and cover flow) in my PC?

I can't sort using other columns because the sorting is stuck/ locked on release date. This is only true for my iTunes U Library. My other libraries and playlists for Music, Movies and TV Shows, Books can be sorted.

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums.
    Regards.

  • Using MODEL clause and COUNT for not numeric data columns....

    Hi ,
Is it possible somehow to use the COUNT function to transform a non-numeric data column to a numeric data value (a counter) and be used in a MODEL clause....????
For example , i tried the following in the emp table of SCOTT dataschema with no desired result...
    SQL> select deptno , empno , hiredate from emp;
    DEPTNO EMPNO HIREDATE
        20  7369 18/12/1980
        30  7499 20/02/1981
        30  7521 22/02/1981
        20  7566 02/04/1981
        30  7654 28/09/1981
        30  7698 01/05/1981
        10  7782 09/06/1981
        20  7788 18/04/1987
        10  7839 17/11/1981
        30  7844 08/09/1981
        20  7876 21/05/1987
        30  7900 03/12/1981
        20  7902 03/12/1981
        10  7934 23/01/1982
14 rows selected Now , i want to use the MODEL clause in order to 'predict' the number of employees who were going to be hired in the 1990 per deptno...
So , i have constructed the following query which , as expected, does not return the desired results....
    SQL>   select deptno , month , year , count_
      2    from
      3    (
      4    select deptno , to_number(to_char(hiredate,'mm')) month ,

      6    from emp
      7    group by  deptno , to_number(to_char(hiredate,'mm'))  ,
      8                to_number(to_char(hiredate , 'rrrr'))
      9    )
    10    model
    11    partition by(deptno)
12    dimension by (month , year)
    13    measures (count_ )
    14    (
    15     count_[1,1990]=count_[1,1982]+count_[11,1982]
    16    )
    17  /
        DEPTNO      MONTH       YEAR     COUNT_
            30          5       1981          1
            30         12       1981          1
            30          2       1981          2
            30          9       1981          2
            30          1       1990
            20          4       1987          1
            20          5       1987          1
            20          4       1981          1
            20         12       1981          1
            20         12       1980          1
            20          1       1990
            10          6       1981          1
            10         11       1981          1
            10          1       1982          1
10          1       1990 As you see , the measures for the 1990 year is null...because the measure(the count(deptno)) is computed via the group by and not by the MODEL clause...
How should i transform the above query... so as the "count_[1,1982]+count_[11,1982]" will return non-null results per deptno...????
    Thanks , a lot

  • How can I sort albums in a genre by release date in the itunes store

How can I sort albums in a genre by release date in the itunes store

Did you figure this out? Am having the same problem.
    EDIT:
Found the group in store (in this case Juana Molina) It said music -> alternative
Changed to column view, and could not find the artist at all in any of the sub categories.
iTunes is really the biggest pain in the .... and has gotten worse over the years.

  • How do I fill in Release Date info for my music tracks?

I would like to add specific release date information (ie, the month and date) of a cds and songs to the music I have in my library. Once I updated itunes to 7.2, I noticed there is a category for Release Date information. But I've looked at all of the info options and I can't seem to find where I would fill in that information. Can someone help me locate it?
    Thanks in advance.

For clarification: When you look at the Get Info page for each file, I too can only find the "year" option to fill in.
However, when you look at the columns for your library sorting, there is an option to sort by Release Date.
This is why I would assume there is some place you can fill in the release date--I just can't happen to find it, which is what I'd like help with.

  • Oracle UCM Release Date - Workflow

In Oracle UCM the release date is shown at the date and time the content enters workflow. Is there an easy way to update the release date field with the date that the content is approved?. I am trying to report on the date that the content item was approved in the workflow, not when it entered the workflow.
Does anyone know of an easy way to do this. Is there any way in workflow to write out to a custom metadata field the date and time the content was approved?
Thanks in advance for your help with this.
    Data_Bitz

What you're probably seeing is actually "dInDate" rather than "dReleaseDate".
On the content info page the revisions table at the bottom has an (intentionally) mislabled column called "release date" that actually displays dInDate
dInDate is when the content item was submitted.
dReleaseDate is when the content item is released from all the workflow processing and indexing into the general collection.
It is possible to have dReleaseDate set during workflow but only if you set wfReleaseDocument=1 in the workflow script(s).
So report on dReleaseDate and ignore what's in the revisions table.
Out of the box, UCM keeps dInDate as the date that you checked in the file. However, we have a product, "Workflow Solution Set" that updates the dInDate to the date that the item is released from workflow and thereby shows up in the revisions table and any other reports as the time the doc was actually approved for consumption. Check out our Workflow Solution Set product (for 10g and 11g) here: http://bit.ly/95Rocu
FYI: you can see what is getting loaded in that table by appending "&IsJava=1" to the URL and taking a look at the REVISION_HISTORY result set.
    hope this helps

  • 2.1 EA2: Date columns displayed wrong in Grid

    Hello Forum,
I have an issue displaying the values of DATE columns. I have set NLS_DATE_FORMAT to "DD.MM.YYYY HH24:MI:SS" but every time information is displayed as 00:00:00 but only in the grid view.
When I do a select sysdate from dual; and press F9 it gives 09.11.2009 00:00:00
    When I press F5 it gives 09.11.2009 18:55:45
I observed this using SQLDeveloper 2.1 EA2 with the supplied JRE on WinXP and Win7 64Bit.
I connect to Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Win2k and to Oracle XE on OpenSuse.

To all on this thread. Please remember that an early adopter release is just that, an early adopter release. You are not supported on Metalink or Oracle Support. The only support is through discussions here on the forum. The idea of the early adopters is that you can look at the areas of importance for you and provide us feedback. The more you look at the product and provide us feedback, the better it is for the product and for you, our customer base, in the long run. This early adopter program has proved successful in the past and we will continue to do this while we think it continues to be successful. The length of the cycle and how many "EA" drops we do depends on the feedback and how we feel the product is doing. As such, I am unable to tell you when or if we'll provide an additional EA release.
This bug has been fixed since EA2 was released. You should see the fix when we next release the product, be it production or a continuation of the EA release cycle.

  • OSB DB-Adapter and a date column: JCA exception ISO 8601 date format?

    Hello
I work with Oracle Service Bus (eclipse oepe and jdev)
On database side I've a view with a date column (datatype=date!)
With JDev I create a DB Adapter with a select operation on that view. This db adapter can be successfully generated.
Now I import the generated artefacts (xsd, wsdl, jca) into my eclipse service-bus-project. Then I generate a business service based on the jca. Also this works fine.
Then I deploy the project to my developement osb. Also this works fine.
When I test my business service (osb test console), I get a runtime error:
    Exception: com.bea.wli.sb.transports.jca.JCATransportException: oracle.tip.adapter.sa.api.JCABindingException:
Exception Description: The object [03.07.70], of class [class java.lang.String], from mapping [org.eclipse.persistence.mappings.DirectToFieldMapping[geburtsdatum-->XYZ_VIW.GEBURTSDATUM]] with descriptor [ObjectRelationalDataTypeDescriptor(DB_Adabper_XZY.XZY--> [DatabaseTable(XYZ_XYZ_VIE)])], could not be converted to [class java.sql.Timestamp].
==> so this seems to be a date format problem. but why?
    I've checked the view ---> it's a date!
After that I do not have any influence to change it - and actually I don't want to change it. It still should be a datatype of DATE.
Why does JDEV not correctly convert it?
    Anyone had the same problem?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Reto

    OS is winXP
database is Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64bit Production
    Yes it is a datetime:
    <xs:element name="geburtsdatum" type="xs:dateTime" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
This is absolutelly correct. But on runtime, I'll get the date convertion error as mentionend above. It seems as the date cannot be converted from database date column to a osb date.
Strange, I didn't expect to have date format problems here.
    I use
1.) Oracle Database (view) with a DATE column
2.) Oracle JDeveloper database adapter (generated db adapter based on view, point 1)
3.) Oracle Service Bus using the jca of generated database adapter, point 2)
So I think I don't have to set any date format, everything shoult be a DATE and therefore no formating has to be done by me, or am I wrong?
    Best regards
