  • Os 10.3 expected release for blackberry Q10 with videotron

    Hi,
I own a blackberry q10 on the videotron network. I can't update my device to the os 10.3 to be able to use blackberry blend and the new functions.
Do you know when I can expect the release of the update for the q10 device with videotron?
    Thanks a lot

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
No one here, in this user-to-user community, has any access to the answer to your question. Indeed, even BB does not know...for it is the responsibility of each carrier to approve the OS released by BB and then subsequently release it to their users. So, the proper place to pose your question is indeed to your carrier, as it is they who control it for you.
    Good luck!

  • I am looking into Buying Retail a New Blackberry Q10. Doing this to avoid having to Give up my old Data Plan. Have read that when you activate a new Phone it forces you to pick a new Plan. Is this True? and How to I avoid this? 20 Year Verizon Client

I am looking into Buying Retail a New Blackberry Q10. Doing this to avoid having to Give up my old Data Plan. Have read that when you activate a new Phone it forces you to pick a new Plan. Is this True? and How to I avoid this? Any other advise in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    20 Year Plus Verizon Client

The only "unlimited" plan I can think of where this would not apply is the old Connect plan for multimedia/basic phones.  That unlimited data, on devices such as the LG Voyager, EnvTouch, and other "multimedia" devices is  not the same.
If you currently have an individual $29.99 unlimited data plan with a 3G Smartphone, then you can buy a BBQ10 retail and activate it with the same data plan and keep the unlimited.

  • White BlackBerry Classic release date?

The last I saw was that BlackBerry announced it would be released at the end of March but I haven't seen it yet. Anyone know the release date? Thanks!

I would put my money closer to the holidays. Why?
For one, Windows 7 phone will come out at that point, along with some other phones that are already being talked about.
By pushing the release date of the white iPhone 4 this far back, not only will Apple have their own egg in the basket come Christmas time, but it also gives them a few more weeks to fix whatever issues can easily be fixed now.
I suppose that could be true, but I think there are people waiting for them and there's no reason for Apple to delay the release just to have a new entry at the holidays. My prediction (which of course is also conjecture) is they'll be released as soon as the manufacturing issues that have plagued the white phone are resolved.

  • Release Date of New Blackberry??

Anyone heard when Verizon will be releasing a new blackberry?  I been waiting for a few months, but starting to get impatient.

    Hi,
I think that is a wise decision.  Also, while on the speculation mode, I thought of another thing.  It is now a fact that Verizon Wireless is a partner with Apple, ie the iPad now sold by Verizon.  So, with that in mind, I will bet you will see an iPhone some time after the first of the year, realistically some time around March.  I am sure they don't want to take away from the sales of that device so they might release a touch screen Blackberry sometime soon.  Just some speculation, but it makes sense from a marketing standpoint.  I really think the Style will be released by VZW by Thanksgiving.  Obviously, keep an eye on the rumor sites such as Crackberry and the Boy Genius Report.

  • Need to be "released" from Veizon Blackberry Server to get BIS in New Zealand??

I have a Verizon Blackberry Tour that has been unlocked.  I am now with Vodafone New New Zealand and have registered for Blackberry Internt Service with Vodafone.  It does not currently work - Vodafone tells me that the phone is registered on Verizon's Blackberry server and I need to contact Verizon to have it released from their server before Vodafone can provide me with BIS.  Verizon tells me that because I never had a plan with them, the phone is not registered on their server (not sure I believe that, but....).  Verizon has told me to contact Blackberry as the phone would have to be released from a Blackberry server.  This doesn't make sense to me ... but I can't seem to find a way to talk to someone at Blackberry to find out.  Can anyone help?

It makes sense to me, in that whoever used the device prior to you, did not "remove" the PIN from their account. Hence, the device remains registered on the previous account.
Verizon will need to do this. RIM doesn't do this. It is a common question asked here of users purchasing used devices. Call Verizon.

  • Blackberry Q10 latest software update issues

I updated the software on my blackberry q10 2 weeks ago and I've been having a lot of issues every other day my email accounts are saying passwords have been changed and it now saying I have too many accounts and this is confusing since I had all these accounts added before the update

I already tried to do a wipe & restore.  Now I am sitting here with no access to any of my contact information or backed up data because as soon as it does the mandatory reboot it deletes everything again... going crazy is an understatement for how I feel right now.  This is my work phone & not being able to access any of my contacts or calendar is ridiculously frustrating.

  • Feature Request: Blackberry Q10 Search Configuration Option to "SHOW ALL" Results without clicking an arrow to expand

    Hi,
So my search function does not find "Contacts", in order to search for contacts I need to go into the "Contacts" application/menu. Previously, I would be able to search for contacts using the Global search.
Not sure if this is supposed to be a feature, to separate searching for email content versus phone contacts, but I suspect it's probably a Blackberry Q10 glitch.
Oddly enough I added a contact called "Some New" now in the Search if I type "some" the "Some New" contact doesn't show up yet until I type "some n".
Ah I see, so the Blackberry by default in the search shows only the first few results and makes me click an arrow to expand results.
Perhaps a Default search setting to show ALL Results:
    phone variable(s)
    MYVER:
    OS:Q10SQN100-1/10.1.0.1483

You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

  • Connecting a Blackberry Q10 to a Yamaha RX V773 receiver

    Hello,
I´m currently having a problem with my Blackberry Q10 smartphone. I´m unable to connect it to a Yamaha Rx V773 reciever, using a usb cable.
I would love to listen to music on my music-system, but a wireless solution won´t help either.
I would be delighted, if someone would reply to this post.

    Idnic, welcome to the forum.
I was able to find a manual for your receiver on the Internet.  Unfortunately, it does not appear that it can be connected to a computer.  There was no mention of connecting it to a computer anywhere in the data.  It can be connected to a TV, however.

  • Can not turn on(booting) my blackberry Q10

    Dear. Sir or Madame
I was using BlackBerry Q10 with no problem but all of a sudden it stoped, went out of power and won't reboot.
I am living in Korea, South and I have bought it via an overseas purchasing agent.
Since there is no A/S center in Korea, I don't know what can I do to get it fixed or be covered by the warranty.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Connect it to the wall outlet charger, and let it charge for an hour or so, and then with it STILL connected to the charger, remove the battery and insert for reboot.
If that doesn't initially work, leave it connected to charge longer, and repeat.
You might also try with the SIM card removed.

  • Blackberry Q10 Boot Loop Issues

    Hi, I need help!
Just replaced the front glass/LCD on a Blackberry Q10, everything went smoothly, no issues, pretty easy process.
I then plug the phone in, to charge and it automatically comes on, loads to about 30% then makes a faint sound and cuts off, then keeps rebooting to about the same point (27%-34% loaded) each time and cuts off each time.
And there is no indicator that the phone is charging.
I tried some solutions I found online but none worked.
I am trying to avoid loosing data.
I do not have the original charger, could this be the issue?
Also the battery is a little damaged physically, could this be the issue?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
From what you describe, I would deduce that something got damaged during the replacement you conducted, resulting in what you are now experiencing. But I am rather concerned...you did not have a backup before you began that repair? Risky, to say the least...
If you cannot repair it again yourself, you'll need to find someone who can. Given what you describe, I doubt you have any warranty coverage anymore.
    Good luck!
