Release of SP4 for XI3.1

Anyone know when SP4 will be released !!

1) Based on the experience from previous SPs and FPs it should be possible to install SP4 directly on top of of SP3 FP 3.2.
2) You can check yourself if the SP4 is available at http://service.sap.com/patches. You can navigate to Browse our Download Catalog->SAP BusinessObjects portfolio ->SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform (SBOP Enterprise)->BOBJ ENTERPRISE XI 3.1 (The navigation path mentioned previously is obsolete). I am not aware of an option to be automatically notofied about the release of a certain SP or FP. Maybe you can try to open an OSS message by SAP support (http://service.sap.com/support) and ask them if there is a way to do that.

Crystal Reports XI Release 2 SP4 RDC Merge Module

I've been trying to find the RDC Merge module for Crystal Reports XI Release 2 SP4 and cannot find it. I found a link - https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009381702008E/crxir2sp4_rdc_mm.zip - but when I navigate there I get an error "Error Message - ObjectID not existant". Does anyone know where I can get this from?

I couldnt find the SP4 RDC however there is a crxir2_fp55_rdc_mm.zip released on 06/07/2009, which can be found at

Have any one tested SP4 for IQ 16?
I planning to move from PS3 t0 SP4 mainly because of 2 critical bugs corrected (HG indexes and complex sub queries that can made the server crash).
Any comment or recommendation on this?

yes sp04 is full release, from sp03 to sp04 will be simple binary swap and running alter database upgrade, coverletter should have steps in detail.
You can upgrade from 152 esd2 to IQ 16 sp04 and follow migration steps listed in Migration guide

Deployer Installation: Failed to validate Release Management Server for Team Foundation Server 2013

Attempting to install the deployer on a machine and getting the below error. Not sure what that means, out of turn error or what actually occurs at this step, validating release management server, during the configuration piece. The user,
that we set for the service was validated fine. The user is an service account in the TFS RM Server, is an admin on the local box as well.
I am able to get into the TFS RM Server through the client just fine. I can hit the TFS RM UI just fine as well.
Curious what would not allow the deployer to complete as mentioned below.
Any help is appreciated.

Release Orders Blocked for Delivery

Hello Experts!!
We have V.23, release orders blocked for billing.. is there a similar transaction where we can release orders blocked for delivery??

Hello Carla,
Yes in the T-code "V.23", you can release the billing block for SALES ORDER in one single click. While releasing the delivery block for the Sales order the following T-code are useful:
1. VDBLOCK
2. V.14
3. VA14L
When you are using these T-codes, you get the list of all the Sales order which are blocked for Delivery. Then you can select the document for which you want to remove the delivery block and do the required updation.

Internal error.
Procedure
Repeat the transaction.
If the error occurs and you have a CRM System connected to your SAP R/3 System, the document may have been archived in the CRM System.
If the error occurs again, inform your system administrator. If the error cannot be corrected, call the SAP Hotline directly. Describe which steps preceeded the error.
But we are not transfering any orders to CRM.The order can be only seen in R/3

Error while assigning user for release approval path for payment release

     I am trying to assign user for payment release in SPRO. I have defined upto 'Define relevant document types for release for payment', after that while assigning user in terms of position for release and save it, i am getting error 'Program error: ASSIGN with length 0 in program "MP120800" '.Because of it i can t proceed further.

ObjTypes from new". This should solve the problem.

Hi Rish,
Simply go to FS00 and click on edit cost element and for CElm Category give some input based on the G/L account type.
You might have to seek help of an FI consultant to do so.
Also in KA01 create this G/L account as a cost element against your controlling area assigned to your Chart of Accounts, you can do so by clicking on Extra's tab in transaction KA01.

ACR 8.7 has not yet been released. The ACR 8.7RC has been released. It is a Release Candidate - and as such, is not a final version. I wouldn't be concerned about a lack of Lightroom support until a final version is released.

Release Strategy Processor Names under Release Strategy tab for a PReq

Hello Experts,
We have situation in Release Strategy for Purchase Requsitions in which we need to display all approvers names under the Release strategy tab for a Purchase Requisition.
Senerio work as follows.
Based on the Release strategy customization settings,Purchase Requisition subjected to release strategy selects the approver names from a custom table.
In the Custom table we have names of the approvers with release codes.
Purchase Requisition displaying the names of the approvers according to alphabetical order.Hence it displays First one user or approver name under the release strategy according to the approver alphabetical order from the custom table.
Can we display name of all approvers in one line according to initial investigation there is room for 40 characters under the release strategy tab.
Let me know if any Standarad OSS notes available for this.

Hi amogh if you configure with workflow the strategy and the name of the persons are in transaction SU01, you don´t need to put nothing. The release strategy shows the names of the persons that release the document, but if you change one person in the release strategy, the system don´t save history for this, all old documents that have been released for this person, release strategy is blank. You have to do a non standard report that shows what person releases what document.

Hi,
Please note that in FBV0, workflow will get triggered automatically the moment you park/complete the document and as per the settings done in the Workflow Variant. There will not be any separate button to release a Workflow because it is automatic and gets triggered based on Events defined in it.

Block releasing to accounting for a specific sales area

Is it possible to block a billing document from 'releasing to accounting' for a specific sales area?
Posting block on the billing type is not an option since the billing type will be used in other sales areas.

No release template matching the current build definition was found to create a release and deployment for.

When I try to start a build that's linked to a standard release template (vNext template) I get "No release template matching the current build definition was found to create a release and deployment for." and the build fails.
I am able to successfully start a release from the Release management client so I don't think there is a problem with the release template. If I start a build with agent based template it works fine so I don't think there is any TFS-RM integration issue.
My environment is a 2013 Update 4 (VS, TFS & RM). I even tried to uninstall and re-install all the components still no luck.
I can't find anything useful (or obvious error) in the release management log files & event log (all the RM components log are set to Verbose)
I even tried to trigger a release (vNext) via a REST API suggested in a website but no joy.

There’s the below error message in your RM Server log, it seems RM Server try to find the Deployment Agent, but standard release needn’t the deployment agent.
ErrorMessage="No communication from the deployer. Possible reasons include: 'Deployer is not installed', 'The service is stopped', 'Deployer is not well configured', 'Deployer is not responsive'"
Additionally, try don’t specific the stage value in your build definition>>Process>> Release Target Stage, then queue build definition again.
