Hello,
I´m looking for an overview about the history from SAP from the beginning until today.
It should be only a small overview about the different SAP Basis Releases and the several modules which are integrated to the system.
Do you know any source?

How to find out workflow in various releases of SAP

Hi Experts,
I would like to know as to how we can find out in which release of SAP was a given workflow introduced.
For eg. if we take WS04200009(WF for leave request). I want to know if this was incorporated in ECC 6.0 or ECC 5.0 or older versions.
Also if we take WS04200009, there is a list of related WF's to it.....i.e. WS12400005 and WS12400007(These are for leave request cancellation).
I would like to know similarly as to how to find out for a specific workflow, the list of related WF to it.
I would also like to know as to how we can find out what is the latest WF that SAP has incorporated in the given release.

What do you mean by workflows "related" to another workflow? if you mean calls and called-by you can get it out of the underlying tables, is that what you want? Same for the latest version, but only in the current system, I wouldn't know how to do it for different SAP versions.
For a particular workflow you can see which other workflow(s) (and tasks) it calls in tx SWDM.

Which is the Latest version to be released after SAP MDM 7.1 version ?

Can any body give me the details about the latest version to be released after SAP MDM 7.1?

Hi Krishna,
as far as i know MDM 7.1 general versions for user is still about to come.
but With SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management 7.1, SAP has enhanced the MDM technology foundation to build pre-packaged business scenarios and integration. This SAP NetWeaver MDM release has been in ramp-up shipment since the end of November 2008.
But for 7.1 some highlights are
Extended flexibility for data modeling and support for complex objects
Higher performance and improved inbound and outbound processing e.g. through native MDM adapter for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration
Enhanced integration into SAP NetWeaver standard administration and life-cycle components
after successful Operation with this I guess new release will mess up.

Practical concept for best practice documentation / overview SAP BW

Hello everybody,
here our current situation. Our Business Warehouse (Version 3.5) is growing and growing. Month by month more and more requirements of subsidiaries and departments should be integrated to the data warehouse.
Our internal BW-Team and IT-Management want to get more transparency in the daily work:
Here some questions we are facing in our daily work:
- How is the typical data flow in a certain case?:
For example source system then ODS (technical name) then for example data goes to 4 InfoCubes. Some InfoCubes are grouped to a multiprovider. We do queries only on MultiProviders.
Even the employees who work permanently wit BW have problems to get a good overview.
- A lot of InfoAreas, InfoObjects, Interfaces and so on.
- Structure of the whole Data Warehouse
- Process Chain Mangement overview...
We don't like the standard tool integrated in BW. What we are thinking is that we need is to create a matrix (Microsoft Excel) and Visualization (Microsoft Powerpoint).
The Problem is to keep it actual in daily working. That is not confortable and a strict dicpline is needed.
Something for us (BW-Team) and our IT-Management to understand easily is the main goal. The transparency should increase and the administrative work to achieve that should be faisable. Keep it small and simple.
I think a discussion should start. What are best practices to handle this situtation?
Everybody faces the same situation I think. We can profit from each other...
Any good tools from third parties known and available?
Some good templates and so on...

BI Overview SAP course for NW2004s ? (BI 7.0)

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a one day BI overview (introduction) course available at SAP education for release NW2004s (BI 7.0 ?)
I found the courses SAPBI and SAPNW but these seem to be for release 3.5 ?
If not, does anyone have a one day BI 7.0 overview course in PDF or PPT format ?

Couple of months ago I took two courses at SAP on upgrade to BI 7.0, there was a 2 day course, DBW70E covering Enterprise Data Warehousing and a 3 day course, DBW70R, on Reporting, Query & Analysis.
These are delta courses, covering what has changed / added.

Creating purchase Requisition and release Overview

Hello,
We have some User which have the authorization to create a purchase Requisition and also to release it by themselves.
We have to Monitor this cases and I' looking for a possibility to check this on a easy way.
I found the Report "Changedocu_read". There I can check several changes in the PR and see who released it. But there I can not see which User created the PR.
The table EBAN has the informations about the User who created the PR and if it had to be released and some more informations. But the informations who released the PR is missing.
I tryed a table-join of the tables EBAN and CDHDR. But it was not possible, because the PR Number (Filed "BANFN" in the EBAN) has not the same format as the number in the Filed "object value" in the table CDHDR.
Perhaps someone has an idea ?
Or there is an Standard Transaction which I did not found to have an overview of the PR and the releases
It would be enough to see following informations with one Join or Transaction:
-PR Number
-Creation Date
- Transaction code
-Change Date
-Release Status
-Released date
-Released by User
I have the same Topic also by purchase orders and the release of them.

The Transaction is nice and helpful to Display some informations. But similar results I also receive when I use the Programm : "changedoc_read". I also had the idea to join the informations of the 2 sources in Excel. For me this Workaround would be ok.
But unfortunately I' m looking for an simply way (for the Enduser). To get this informations mentioned above in one overview directly in SAP.
They have to use this check regularly, to Monitor if there were some wrong Releases.
If there is not such a way then we have to join it in Excel.
But if you have some other suggestions I'm happy to hear them.

Customer Overview: Consumption History

Hi all,
I am struggling with a special situation. I am implementing the ISU CS Module for a water company and one of the tools that they want to use is the "Customer Overview" transaction ECVBP02.
Regarding Consumption History, this transaction always shows the Annual Consumption Values and the Operand WQUANT___1 for Water Consumption. Can this be modified? Can I show more than one Operand? Can I set the consumption for 6 months instead of one year?
And Regarding Consumption History...is there any report/transaction? Where can I check the Consumption History month by month for a certaing Customer / Account?

Please study the following example, It might give you an idea.
Example
A double-rate meter is installed in a commercial electricity installation. In addition to on-peak and off-peak rate registers, the installation includes a wattmeter that is billed using the rate "LEIST". The current consumption is displayed in the customer overview of the front office as follows:
Operand AnnualCons. Unit Rate Rate Description
Daily cons. 23,700 kWh On-peak On-peak small business
Night cons. 8,200 kWh Off-peak Off-peak small business
Meas.demand 23.0 kW DEMAND Demand (simple)
If you want to display a complete consumption history, you must make the following settings:
1. Maintain the following variants in the rate steps of your rate:
INFACT01 Write a demand in the installation facts
INFACT06 Write an amount in the installation facts
The rate steps for the rates mentioned above might look like this, for example:

Already released pr, again comng for pr release in sap inbox

our client is having work flw for PR release.
my user already release PR. but in his sap inbox, again same PR is displaying( in the list of PR's to be release).already released one , again coming in the list of new PR list to be released today.why old, already release PR, again coming for PR release.

For PR release we need to export and import from both side.
I want to say that if PR is release from your user id then it has exported from that client.
But if it is not get updated in target place then import has to be done in target place to see changes.
you can check code in both places and find out wether updated code is there or not.
If not then ask the basis person to check and import code in target client.

Overview SAP HCM country based infotypes

Dear all,
I am in search of an overview of all Sap HCM infotypes. Per infotype I need to know whether it is an infotype common to all countries (such as: 000,0001,0002,0003,0006,0007,0008,0009,0014,0015) or a country specific infotype (U.S. Benefits Payroll IT(0496 - 0501)).
Is there anybody willing to share information or (ofcourse preferably) share such a list?

Info types like 0000,0001,0002,0003,0004,0005,0006,007,0008,0009,0010.......
all infotypes are commonly used for all countries, but only thing is some countries was not require some infotypes. maintaining of info types entirely depends on Client requirement.
For example:
Infotype 0021 is maintained only the client want to enter details of the employee's family otherwise we don't maintain it.
