Release stategy issue

Hi Gurus,
I Develop the release stategy in sandbox, every thing fine in sandbox then transport to quality server.Then i cheak in quality its not working because in quality i forgot to create chart and class. Then i created char and class after that also its not working.its showing the error message ERROR IN CLASSIFICATION(PR_CLASS_FINAL class type 032) . its not allowing me to enter in classification inquality server but in sandbox its working fine.its very urgent
pls help me .

where i have to give the values , u mean in classification. To maintain classification its not allowing me to enter into the screen where we maintain the values. shall i delete the release stategies in sandbox and create again in sandbox then i transport are without deleting, shall i transport in sequence.if i transport sequence without deleting it wont be a problem write. Mean first i create one class and transport to quality that time its not working then i changed another class in sandbox and trasport then also its not working.because in that table its not deleted.pls explain how u solve the problem when u get this problem.

Apply a condition on the PO such that if the cost of the PO exceeds 10K then it should be released by a Manager A and if it exceeds 20K it should be released by Manager B.

Release Build Issue

Hello!
I'm stuck on something pertaining to my release build. It's not working. I know there could be a lot of reasons for this, most related to path dependencies within my code. In my troubleshooting, however, I've stumbled across an issue that I think is at the root of the problem. I'm hoping someone has a solution!
Here it is:
I'm using Flex Builder 3, and it's an AS3 project. Running the project is no problem. Works great from the bin-debug folder. As soon as I pull the files in the bin-debug folder into another folder, however, it no longer runs. I'm doing this in the most basic way possible. Here are the steps I'm taking:
1. create a new folder at the same level as bin-debug. Calling it, creatively, bin-debug2.
2. copying all the files in bin-debug and pasting them in bin-debug2.
3. opening my browser and surfing to bin-debug/project.html - works perfect.
4. opening my browser and surfing to bin-debug2/project.html - doesn't work.
How is it possible for the exact same files not to work just because the parent folder has a different name?
I believe answering this will solve my release build issues.

Thank you for taking time to help me troubleshoot this.
Running the bin-debug version of the projects main .html page in a browser works. Meaning, the page loads, I see the default background color I've set in the compiler, and the opening animation starts.
Then I copy and paste all of the files in bin-debug to bin-debug2. Try running the exact same .html file. The page opens in the browser and I see the default background color I've set in the compiler. The opening animation never starts.

Release Authority Issue

Hi Experts,
The senario is as a SOX measure we want to restrict the USER from releasing the PUR Doc. created by himself.
Means Person who has created document should not be allowed to release the same.
Is there any workarround.

Create a message, on Check/Save issue error if Approver = PO Creator. I'm assuming there is more than one potential approver at the level, otherwise you need to determine a different approver before PO is saved.

PR item release workflow issue

Hi All,
I have 1 issue with PR item workflow. We have PR itme based workflow with different agents for each line item.
The issue is when approver goes to execute the work item, all the other items are available to the approver to edit or release other items as well. We want to disable other items being available to the approver for which he is not the approver.

Hi Srikar,
You can do this by using parallel processing in workflows. I am giving you the scenaio we use. We use this in invoices with multiple line items.
This scenario is implemented using a sub workflow. In the main workflow when you insert a multistep task, go to "Miscellaneous" tab to implement parallel dynamic processing. here you have to pass a multi line container element containing line item numbers. Your sub workflow will trigger one for each entry in multi line element. Do not do any changes to you PR object with in Sub Workflow just get the results of decisions taken by user back to main workflow. Like (App - for approval, Rel - For release, Rej - for rejecetion, etc). When you have all decision collected and returned to main workflow, pass the results in a multi line container element to an activity. Then based on results decide weather you want to release or reject.
Doing this if one person releases his line item, it will not effect the other workitems which have gone to other approvers.
We do agent assignment based on profit centers.

Segment Release version issue - ECC6 to older ver.

Our system was recently upgraded from ECC5 to ECC6 and we are facing an issue with one of the interfaces that is connected directly to the R/3 System.
This issue is realted to an outbound interface and it used to work fine when we were on ECC5. The message we are sending is a bespoke extension based on basic type DELVRY03. The segment E1EDL24 have new fields added to them in the 701 release version compared to the 620 version which was the higest available on ECC5.
I tried reducing the IDOC segment release version to 620 and 46C in the partner profile, but the message received by the thirdparty still contains the new fields which is causing an issue at their end.
I would appreciate if you could provide me some guidanace on how to appraoch this issue.

We have recenlyt upgraded our quality system to ECC6.
I am also facing the same issue, As per my unnderstadning if I put segment release in WE20 then in ALE communication Layer Idoc should remove the fileds which are not intended for the given release. For example E1EDP01 is having highest release 008 for 701 release. If I set 40A in partner profile the Idoc should generate with fileds only available in 40A release i.e. version 003,but SAP is filling all thefilds which are available in701 relase.
I don;t understand why SAP has given such a functionality though it actually not filter the data at communication layer!!.
Could you please let me know did any of you really see the difference when you use segment release in WE20 when using PI as receiver? I did sevaral test for MATMAS, ORDERS found this segment release is useless.
If you have applied any workarounds(other then updating receiver system mapping) please let me know. I think is there any modification in ECC6???

PR release workflow - issue in mulitple level approval

Hi Experts,
I have developed a new workflow for PR release strategy.
Business object: BUS2105 ( Purchase Requistion )
Triggerring event: ReleaseStepCreated
Step1: Workflow started ( Releasestepcreated)
Step2: Approve PR ( Agent1)
Step2a
If yes --> Released to next level (Agent 2 )
Step2b
If No --> Rejected and notified initiator
If Yes --> Notify intiator and exit
Step3b.
If no --> based on next release code and release
group get the next level agent and go to
step2
Step4: Workflow ends.
Issue:
For single step PR release, workflow is working fine.
When PR created with multiple level release, a workflow triggers and notifies the 1st level agent, when the agent releases the PR at 1st level and saves it , workflow is not proceeds to further steps to find the next level agent.
Here i am using the FM to fetch the approvers and assigning the same for release codes.
Please guide me...

you can check this in SWEL that whether event is getting triggered after first release.
If yes then the issue is in configuration of release strategy where for all release code you need to mark workflow parameter 1.

Purchase requisition release strategy issue

I have created release strategy in development, it was working fine with work flow. When I try to import the TR's I found that the document types in development are not in quality so I changed the document type. then I tried to create a PR and when I clicked on messages its not triggering the release strategy don't know why. In total there are 2 characteristic plant and document type.I even tried to delete the plant characteristic and tried again creating PR but still no use. let me put some screen shots comparing the development and quality. Please do help.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just checked that the over all indicator for the development and quality, I found that in development its not activated while its activated in quality will that be of any issue.

PO Release Strategy Issue

HI,
We have created a PO release strategy workflow.All scenarios are working fine except 1 scenario.
That is,when a PO is created and rejected by a user in user decision step.The workflow will end.If the PO is changed(amount) again,the release strategy is triggered for the same user.But the workflow is not triggering.
If the release strategy is for a different user,its triggering the workflow.
I have used a fork inside which 1 parallel branch contains a wait for significantly changed event & another branch contains the user decision step,po release step & rejection reason scenario.
Can anyone tell the solution for why the workflow is not triggering for only this scenario?

Don't you see any buttons in the subscreen? The tooltip is not for the tab (title) it is for the button. I am quite sure there is a button there for cancelling the rejection, but without access to a system where this has been set up I can't check it. I just had the same issue before Christmas, where the users said the solution didn't work for the same reason mentioned here - no workflow was sent after changes where made. In fact the solution did work flawlessly as soon as they cancelled the rejection.

Oracle Database 10g 64-bit (10.0.2.5) with Developer 6i release 2 Issue

Hi,
I am using oracle database10g (10.0.2.5) 64bit on linux Red Hat 64bit. Problem is on forms having required field as hidden or not taken in-put from user Using developer 6i release 2. Please guide me or give some advice to resolve the issue.
Basically i want upgrade developer 6i to developer 6i release 2 but when i run some forms on developer 6i release 2 return some error (enter required field ).

Problem is on forms having required field as hidden or not taken in-put from user 1. Un-hide the field and/or make it enterable so that the user can enter a value.
or
2. Make the field optional instead of required.
or
3. Give the field a default value.
or
4. Give the field a value programmatically.
Looks like a bug in Developer 6i R1 that this was possible at all.

TFS Build and vNext Release Trigger issue

When the build definition is set to “True” for release – getting the error even though the Release template was linked to the Build definition.
ERROR: No release template matching the current build definition was found to create a release and deployment for.
When flag is reset to false to release - build completes and let the release be created in RM Client and select the latest build.
Another observation, was able to link the same build definition to both "Agent based" and "vNext" releases at the same time.What could be the wrong we are doing?

Airport Extreme 802.11n New Firmware Release (VPN ISSUE)

The info accompanying the release of today's firmware upgrade makes no mention of a fix to the VPN problems. Does anyone know if the new firmware had any effect on the problem?

Our VPN is now working (checkpoint)
For me the firmware update initially seemed to fix the VPN issue, but after closer inspection there still seems to be something wrong with it. (We are using CheckPoint.) My Wintel-box that has been provided by my employee is still having issues with connecting to our exchange server and the network drives do not seem to be working all that realiable. Probably a configuration issue, but do you have any ideas on where to start looking for a solution?

This issue is related to scheduling agreement release. I've mentained condition record for doc type/ purch. org/ vendor through transaction MN10 for this.
Now i am maitaining Delivery schedule for this, but system is not fetching the output type automatically here. Nor its is allowing me to put it manualluy as the whole field is greyed out.
Can anybody help in resolving this issue?

Check if your output type is present in the output type determination in the following path:
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Messages -> Output Control -> Message Determination Schemas -> Define Message Schema for Scheduling Agreement Release/Expediter
Also check the analysis tab while you check the SA release, it will give you clearer idea about the problem.

Production Release Install Issues on Linux

I just upgraded from the beta to the production relase on Linux (Suse 10.0).
The following issues were easy enough to bypass, but should be fixed in the next release nevertheless, to allow a Linux installation as smooth as under Windows:
* calculation of required swap space: when I installed the beta in November I had 512MB RAM and 1GB swap - no problem at all. Meanwhile I upgraded to 1GB RAM, 1GB swap. The production release complained during install. Why would I need more swap to install Oracle after upgrading RAM? Should the script not instead check total memory (RAM+swap) and be happy?
* second, related issue: the installer complained that I had only 850MB swap space, it supposedly required 1GB. Fact: I have 1GB swap space, but about 150MB were used at that time. Instead of checking the total swap space, the installer checked the free swap space. Solution was easy enough: swapoff -a ; swapon -a. All swap space free, installer runs...
* during configuration (/etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure) I selected not to automatically start Oracle at boot time. This set the ORACLE_DBENABLED variable (in /etc/sysconfig/oracle-xe) to false. Unfortunately this variable is used in /etc/init.d/oracle-xe to check before 'start' and 'stop'. As a result it was not possible to manually start and stop the database. Solution: either don't check the variable before start and stop or - as I did: set ORACLE_DBENABLED to true and prevent start at boot time by editing the runlevels (as should be).
Other than that: great product and great timing! Keep up the good work! Thanks a lot!

As an addendum to the above, I noticed that sqlplus failed wouldn't run - it was failing with messages such as:
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27121: unable to determine size of shared memory segment
Linux Error: 13: Permission denied
and:
ERROR:
ORA-27140: attach to post/wait facility failed
Through scanning countless posts on this forum the solution turned out to be:
chmod u+s `which oracle`
chmod g+s `which oracle`
Speaking as someone who is in Oracle's target audience for this product (small company, currently using open source DBs), I have to say that my experience of installing Oracle was pretty painful and was far more hassle than PostgreSQL, MySQL or even (heaven forbid) SQLServer. Come on Oracle, you can do better than this!
