"Released" flag not set on FI document

Hi All,
I am using a workflow copied from WS10000053 for two levels of release of an FI document. However, even after releasing both the levels of the document, the document does not get the "Released" indicator set. Can anyone throw some light?

Maybe the document was locked. Check the workflow log (via eg SWIA) and see what happened when it tried to release it.

SVM state database replica Master flag not set for any replica

Hi guys,
Recently i have done root mirroring. After creating svm volumes, i ran the metadb command to create state database replicas on the replaced disk. I created only one replica that time. I tried creating additional replicas but it said like replica already exist on the slice. So i deleted the replica on the slice. Thn i created 3 replicas again & ran metadb. Output of metadb command is below. I found there is not master flag not set for any replica. I like to know whether it would create any issue or it is fine.

That shouldn't be any problem, i think the metadb's are just read at boot, and at boot one of the replicas will be choosen as the master, and will then get the m-flag.
I suspect that you deleted the replica which was used as the master during the last boot, which is why none of your replicas have the m-flag at the moment, which is not a problem as it will be choosing a new replica during the next boot.

Estimated recalc flag not set when option value changed

Hi,
Here is the problem.
when i change the option value using front end and ran the procedure in dev, one for exprecalc and the other for estm recalc,then estimated flag & expense flag changed to 25964.which is correct.
when i repeated the same process in UAT,only expense is changing 25964
but not estimated,it remains 26040.
only one record is there.
for '03/14/2003', i changed the option value
select estm_reclcn_c,exps_reclcn_c from grn
where grn_d=to_date('03/14/2003','mm/dd/yyyy')
and org_grp_i=44;
what might be the reason.Any clue

You haven't given us much to go on but it sounds like there are differences in either the software (PL/SQL, SQL etc) or the data between your dev and uat environments that is causing the differing behaviour.

Customizing setting for parked documents of edit lock which are in workflow

I want to lock a parked document from edit while in workflow, I have seen in my previous project that if any document in workflow if try to change it used to give a message that 'document in wirkflow'. how to set this setting for parked documents using FIPP.

Please read note 169732.
It is normal that you get this errror message "Park document blocked xxxxxx" if you try to park a document for which "Release necessary" is set but "Released" flag is not set.
Normally in workflow the "Released" flag is set in a background step right before the workflow posts the documents.

Condition record exist but not set in SO

Hi SDN Team,
I have a problem. Where in the sales order for the Discount condition type condition record where already exist in diffferent validity period.
EG
ZAJ1 discount condition type - with the same key combination with different valididity period
EG:
ZAJ1 - 27.01.2009 to 15.02.2009
ZAJ1 - 16-02-2009 to 15-03-2009
The reason is not set for the ZAJ1 condition in the Sales Order is due to the sales order was created before the pricing condition record validity datet. Sales order where created on 11.02.2009. But the condition record where valid from 16.02.2009 that is the reason the condition record was not set in the sales order.
Based on this explanation user agreed and the call was closed.
I have also explained Where ZAJ1 has condition record. but which is not set in the document. if pricing was carried out again it will set the condition for the item.
But now again the call was reopened stating that -
At the time of creating the sales order the ZAJ1Condition record exist in the period 27-01-2009 to 15-02-2009. now the primary rebate should be used by the system. Unfortunately it did not.
Based on the reopend call - i have further investigated the issue but i could not find the root cause.
Based on this when i checked the previous order where the ZAJ1 condition was well picked up with the validity period 27-01-2009 to 15-02-2009, what might be the reason the condition type was not picked up in the sales order?
Can you please let me know with your expertise in solving this issue.

1)Requirement is set with 2 (itme with pricing). and calculation type is assigned with own calculation type.

This message tells you that the condition record exists, but has not been set in the document. If pricing was carried out again for the document item, then the condition would be set.
There are different reasons for this:
The condition was deleted manually in the item condition screen.
The condition record was created later. Please note that order processing and pricing have buffer mechanisms. This means that a newly added condition record might only be found after order processing has been left completely and then started again.
If the condition type is used for subsequent settlement (rebate), there may be subsequent updating of business volume (the agreement is is created retrospectively). The document conditions do not contain the condition record, as the condition record was not created when pricing was carried out. Updating of business volume is carried out using special functions for subsequent settlement.
When an item was added, the condition record was accessed with key fields other than change time. This could lead to different results in the requirements check at the time of adding and the change time. This can occur when modifications are made.
In billing (or when copying orders): Certain condition types were not determined in the source document (this is usually controlled by the pricing requirements). When creating the document, the document flow (TVCPF,TVCPA) is processed using a pricing type that does not redetermine these condition types, although they are supposed to be called via the requirements.

Document Flags not showing on Web Excel

We are using BW3.5 SEM4.0.
Documents are added to cells in planning layouts.
Documents flags are showing up on web and BEx reports. They are also showing up on non-Excel web planning layouts, and Excel Gui layouts.
The flags are, however, not showing on Web Excel layouts. Althought the document could still be viewed, if you know which cell they are located in.
Is there a solution to this? Thanks for reading.

I have a related problem: I set up BPS to handle the documents (and I already tested it, it works fine).
My 4 characteristics are WBS element, version, fisc per, and material.
Now, I am just creating a web reports that should also display these documents. What do I have to adjust in the Query designer? Do I have to restrict the report to exactly this combination to see them?
(I have tried Query properties ->Display ->Display Document links, it shows icons per column, but does not display any BPS document I created)

Service entry sheet release flag is not appearing in the change mode.

Hi,
In Service entry sheet release flag is not appearing in the change mode(ML81N). though release strategy is exsists in the header level.
note:
1.No changes done release setting, classes, or any other parameter.
2.Last day Few service entry sheets have been released by user .
3.And also i tried with different user , whereas he is geeting release flag, but concern user is not getting?
wht could be reasons?
Please provide suitable solution.

Issue here is user is having authorization issue. Please run ML81N and execute /NSU53 report.
Also execute ML81n and then /NSU53 report for the other user whos does not have this problem. Then send both the reports to Security team asking them to add the missing object in the user's role who has the problem.

Indicator - If the Document is Sourcing-Relevant is not set

We are using SRM7.0 scneario PDP, creating PR in ECC once it is released transered to SRM creates SC, we do not have any approval for SC it will get auto approved once created.
SC should be available in SOCO since we have Defined Sourcing for Product Categories as "*" and Soucring always carried out,
further when we check for some of SC's which are available in SOCO indicator was set at BBP_PDIGP-SOURCE_REL_IND, and it is a but for some of them it was not set.
Any idea why this indicator was not set.
please share if you ever face the same issue.

Did you tested this functionality in SRM shopping cart process? Create a shopping cart with multiple line items and check whether this is working fine or not within SRM.
Also refer SAP note 1432540 ( Sourcing relevant flag is not updated properly)

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error while accessing document libraries after in place upgrade to SP 2010

I performed an inplace upgrade on my sharepoint 2007 installation and post the upgrade while trying to browse the document libraries on the site i get the following Error. HAs anyone encountered a similair error?? What could be the cause and resolution

Amount to draw from down payment is not set in document currency

hi,
i always get the error "amount to draw from down payment is not set in document currency" when i try to update a draft of invoice with down payment.
i do the following:
1. sales order
2. down payment
3. income payment
4. delivery note
5. invoice
5.1 save as draft by di api
5.2 get draft by key
5.3 do some changes, for example change comments by di api
5.4 update draft by diapi <--- the error is thrown!
If i do this on screen everything works fine. But by sdk its not working.
System: SAP 8.8 SP00 PL20
Is there a solution for this problem?

What if you update the same draft from UI instead of by diapi? Do you still get error message?

PDF Document requests a password for opening despite not setting it up to do so

I created a secure pdf document that is to be downloaded from a web site. Upon downloading, users should be able to open/view the pdf without having to enter a password, but would need a password to be able to edit or make changes to the document. When testing the document and downloading from the web site, I am prompted for a password even though I did not set the pdf to request one for opening the document.
Can someone please help me undertand what's going on. I've tried a million things with no luck!

MSA copying activity: flag 'main team member' not set automatically

Hello forum,
when I copy an activity in msa,
the responisble persons are copied too, but saving is not possible:
error: flag main team member not set
So i have to set this flag manually.
Why does the system not copy this flag too ?
Where can I change this bad behaviour ?

did you already check the following:
1) activities created in CRM have this main flag set properly for exactly one responsible employee defined for this function
2) customizing is synchronized properly to CDB/Mobile:
CRM_DNL_PAR_FCT
CRM_DNL_PAR_PDD
CRM_DNL_PAR_PDP
CRM_DNL_PAR_UIS
3) activities downloaded to mobile have this main flag set properly for exactly one responsible employee defined for this function
4) it is possible to create the same activities in mobile as in CRM using the same functions (e.g. the customizing is proper on mobile)
For my understanding I would rather suggest to change/correct the data in CRM instead of modifying the copy functionality for mobile.

Please help me on this issue. I'm a new SSIS User.
I've installed Sql Server 2005 Developer Edition
When I create a new SSIS Project in Business Intelligence Development Studio,
I get the following message:
"Microsoft Visual Studio is unable to load this document: Object reference is not set to an instance of an object".
Error loading 'package.dtsx'bject reference is not set to an instance of an object
When I try to debug the package, I get the below message:
parameter Component(System.Design) is null.
I've uninstalled and installed SS 2005 several times, yet the problem persists.
Please help.

No I have not yet. I've applied just the windows updates. I rebooted after the updates, but the problem persists.
I evern tried importing the .vssettings file from my co-worker's. Also, I tried resetting the user settings
using "%programfiles%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe" /resetuserdata.
I'm on Windows xp 2002 service pack 2. Sql server 2005 Developer edition.

When starting a word document from "Protected view" it is in readonly mode.Why does it not set to editable?

I am trying to open a document from internet and wants to do it editable for doing some changes in it. In Microsoft Word i get the "Protected view" and pushes the "Enable editing" button. It works fine in IE9 but doing the same in firefox makes the document still in readonly mode. I have an addin that saves it back to the server where i have opened it. Because the file is in readonly mode i cannot save it back to server. Why is the document not set to editable mode?

That is for protection. Firefox saves files that are past to an external program in the temp folder (%temp%) and files in that folder may get removed (deleted) after you close that external program causing dataloss if you made changes. Firefox saves the file as read-only to prevent that. You will have to save the file under a different name (possibly in a different location) using "Save as" if you want to make changes to a file.

Status flags in TOC not setting

Hi,
I just recently created a project with a table of contents. There are a number of click boxes and 'continue' buttons that pause the project. Sometimes, even though the project has moved on from the slide, the status flag is not set in the TOC. Sometimes it does work though. This is encountered by all users with this project.
Suggestions?

I think you may be encountering the following situation.
If you have a Click Box or Button object that is left at the default action of "Continue", the playhead continues to advance and it reaches the slide end. Once it reaches the slide end, the flag is set to indicate the slide has completed.
If you change the default action from Continue to "Go to the next slide" or perhaps "Jump to slide", the playhead never really reaches the end of the slide. So Captivate doesn't consider the slide to have been "visited".
Thoughts here are to possibly stage the Buttons or Click boxes so they pause at the actual end of the slide? Then Captivate may consider the slide to have been viewed and set the flag accordingly. Perhaps try that.
