Released Version: NI 5640R Installer; Please update

Released Version: NI 5640R Installer; Please update!
The software for the NI PCI-54640R IF-RIO is now released.  Before asking about any issues in programming the NI 5640R, please upgrade to the released version.  This will also make it easier to look at example code if there is an issue.
Please download the new installer file (“ni-5640r100rc1.zip”) from the following location:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/199D73629DD50CDB86257116005160B6?opendocument&node=13206...
1. Remove your NI 5640R modules from the computer.
2. Un-install the version of NI 5640R currently on the computer.
3. At this time, it is recommended to un-install pre-release versions of LabVIEW 8.0, LabVIEW FPGA 8.0, and NI-RIO 2.0 and re-install the released versions.
4. Install the released version of the NI 5640R software.
5. Re-install the NI 5640R module.
Note:  This new version of the driver handles the NI 5640R VIs differently from previous versions.  Previous to version B5, different projects would use common NI 5640R VIs that were saved in the LabVIEW/instr.lib directory.  This method prevents multiple projects from being open due to the Bind to Typedef option on the FPGA Target VI.
The new method saves copies of all NI 5640R VIs to a directory in the project.  This allows different projects, with different typedefs to use the same VIs at the same time.
This will result in projects saved in the previous method from not finding the NI 5640R VIs.  The easiest method to convert to the new method is to resave the NI 5640R Template example directory, and copy the changes from the previous VIs to the new VI.  Ensure that you use the NI 5640R VIs that are part of the new project.

A new version of NI-RIO for Real-Time OS/Windows 2000/XP has released.
If installing the ni5640r software for the first time, please install NI-RIO Version 2.1 before installing the ni5640r software.
If you are re-installing the ni5640r software and you have NI-RIO 2.0 installed, please uninstall both the ni5640r software and NI-RIO version 2.0.  Then install NI-RIO version 2.1, followed by the ni5640r software version 1.0.
Note: Updating NI-RIO from version 2.0 to 2.1 is a recommendation, it is not required.  If you are already reinstalling the ni5640r software, it is a good time to keep up to date with the latest released drivers.
The current version of the NI-RIO driver (2.1) can be downloaded from this location:

  • GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song". Please Help!

    I recently had a data transfer from my older mac to my newer one. After the transfer I logged into my new account and opened up my GarageBand. It worked perfectly fine, however when I logged into my old account with all my older data that I just transferred over, I could not open my GarageBand files and there is an error that states "GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song".If anyone could please help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

    When you transferred your data from your old mac, you may have accidentally transferred an older GarageBand version and either overwritten your newer version, or your old account still has the old GarageBand icon in the Dock.
    Search with SpotLight, if you have more than one Garageband version on your new Mac (type "GarageBand" into the SpotLight search field). Does it list more than one GarageBand version? Then delete the older GarageBand.app.
    What GarageBand version have you been using at your old mac, and what is the version on your new mac? If it has been bought recently, it should have come with GarageBand '11.
    Regards
    Léonie

  • I installed Firefox 4 beta, now that Firefox 4 is released, do I have to download the release version or I can apply updates to make it a release version?

    See my question

    It will automatically install the release version, though you already appear to have updated to the release version.

  • Installation Error J2sdk1.4.1 version on Window NT- Please Help

    I downloaded J2SDK1.4.1 version sucessfully on window NT, When I click on Install, I get the following error
    "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable your are attempting to run is corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again". Earlier I older version of Jdk1.2, I tried to remove all the files and tried again, but keep getting the same error.
    Could anyone tell me what I need to do?

    Hello gchandrashekar1,
    It sounds like you have indeed downloaded a corrupted copy of the SDK1.4.1.
    1. Check the download file size
    If you saved the self-installing executable to disk without running it from the download page at the Java Software web site, check to see that you have the complete file:
    j2sdk-1_4_0-win.exe 37067134 bytes
    2. Uninstall Pre-Release Versions of the Java 2 SDK 1.4
    If you have previously installed a Beta release or the Release Candidate version of Java 2 SDK 1.4, uninstall it. Use the Microsoft Windows Add/Remove Programs utility, accessible from the Control Panel (Start --> Settings --> Control Panel).
    3. Run the Java 2 SDK installer
    Note -- you must have administrative permissions in order to install the Java 2 SDK on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
    The file j2sdk-1_4_0-win.exe is the Java 2 SDK installer. If you downloaded it instead of running it directly from the web site, double-click
    on the installer's icon. Then follow the instructions the installer provides. When done with the installation, you can delete the download file to recover disk space.

  • Please update the PC60G driver to the latest version

    The latest driver for the PC60G available on the MSI website is version 1.0.0.0302 for Win9x/ME/2000/XP and version 2.0.3.0 for Vista.
    The PC60G uses a Ralink RT2561 chip, and if you go to Ralink's site, they have a newer driver for that chip - version 1.2.3.0 for Win9x/ME/2000/XP and version 2.1.0.0 for Vista.  I tried to install it, and it forces you to use Ralink's wireless software, which I don't want.
    The MSI driver does not force you to use Ralink's wireless software, which is good, but it is not the latest version.  Can you guys please update your driver to the latest version?

    To avoid any misunderstandings, I will show you this sign:
    That said, you will probably understand that crafting and releasing updated drivers is not in our hands to begin with.
    In any case, if you have no problems with the drivers on the MSI Product Site, there is no urgent reason to use newer ones, right?  On the other hand, if the Ralink drivers work better for you, just use them instead.

  • HT5957 Update beta version iOS7 to the release version

    I need to update my beta version iOS7 to the release version, does anyone have the correct procedure?

    Hi macsnt, and a warm welcome to the forums!
    The latest you can update yours is to 10.5.x, which is 10.5.8 ay the moment.
    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
    * Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
    * 512MB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
    * DVD drive for installation
    * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
    You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it!
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x is out of the question...
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
    * Mac computer with an *Intel processor*
    * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
    * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
    * DVD drive for installation
    * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
    * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

  • My Muse file won't open: "This Adobe Muse site file requires a newer version of Adobe Muse. Please update to the latest version."

    My final project for this quarter in a web design class is due in less than a week. And suddenly, after months of working with this exact file, it won't open. I'm trying to open it in CC (newest version of Muse) at school. At home, I downloaded a trial version of it. I would think the trial version would be the absolute newest version..and even if it wasn't, why can't the even newer version open it? PLEASE help me. And, what do I do if my trial version has expired (I'm not home right now, so I can't check..) and I can't open it to fix it (if that's what I needed to do..)?
    Note: at school we have CC, always updated. At home I have CS6, but downloaded a trial version of Muse. So, I would think the trial version would be the newest and CC not CS6. I don't know, though!
    Note: is there a way to extend my trial version for, like, an hour, to retrieve this file? It would absolutely suck if I can't get it back now. I've spent a long time on this.

    Could you please send me the muse file to [email protected] along with a link to this thread. If they're larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.
    so that I may check and help in getting this resolved?

  • I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...

    I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...

    iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
    It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
    When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
    If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
    Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
    Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
    So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
    If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
    Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
    Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.
    http://www.charlessoft.com/
    Then you need to check for updates for iPhoto in the program itself, the current version is 9.1.2

    I get a message that says "This version of pre-release ios will expire in 7 days" What should I do? I am currently running ios 8 GM and I can't update to the public release version. I am stuck in the beta. Itunes will not let me restore my iphone or update it. PLZ HELP ME

    Wondering if you have a current Backup on iTunes ...if yes you could put the iPhone in DFU Mode by holding the Home button while you plug in the lightning cable.  Then you could Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings on 8.0.2 and after a full Restore go back and then Restore from your Backup.  This happens every time a public release occurs.  Many folks on the Golden Master or otherwise in the AppleSeed program with a Beta version for some reason don't move to the official release ...then the software time-bomb hits and they can't upgrade.

    Has anyone not been able to get the iTunes installer to load properly and get a message like this: This iTunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions of windows. Please download and install 64 bit iTunes installer instead. I have tried repeatedly to get this to load, I have uninstalled iTunes completely and reinstalled and still get the same message. Yes, it's come up a number of times. If you look to the right under "more like this", you'll find threads that may offer useful suggestions.

    Is there anything else beside the number 2203?
    Try removing the current Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, then install 11.0.07 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Updated AIR 3.4 SDK beta version to release version, package IPA failed

    my project contains an ANE , and it works fine with previous version , today i updated sdk version to AIR3.4 sdk release , but failed to package IPA  with errors below:

    ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture armv7
    Compilation failed while executing : ld64
    is it a bug? or i do someting wrong?

    I was really hoping that would work for me to.
    I'm using:
    AIR 3.4 to compile the ANE and the IPA.
    FB 4.7 beta to write the Actionscript Library
    Xcode to compile the native library - I added the signature minimalFinalizerFunction() then rebuilt the framework and used the 'release' version
    The ANE seems to compile without error using this command:
    adt -package -target ane KiipNativeExtension.ane extension.xml -swc KiipNativeExtension.swc -platform iPhone-ARM -C ios . -platform default -C default .
    -- here's my extension.xml --
    <extension xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/extension/3.1">
        <id>com.slaphostgames.extensions.KiipNativeExtension</id>
        <versionNumber>0.0.1</versionNumber>
        <platforms>
            <platform name="iPhone-ARM">
                <applicationDeployment>
                    <nativeLibrary>libKIIPANE.a</nativeLibrary>
                    <initializer>ExtInitializer</initializer>
                    <finalizer>minimalFinalizerFunction</finalizer>
                </applicationDeployment>
            </platform>
            <platform name="default">
                <applicationDeployment/>
            </platform>
    </platforms>
    </extension>
    Then I republish the swf in Flash Pro CS6 (I do this by testing the movie and it pops open ADL but gives runtime errors that the ExtensionContext function is not available - I think that is expected behavior because it's in the simulator)
    Then finally I run this command to compile the IPA:
    adt -package -target ipa-test-interpreter -storetype pkcs12 -keystore Certificates.p12 -storepass passwd -provisioning-profile Distribution_Ad_Hoc.mobileprovision TestKiip.ipa TestKiip-app.xml TestKiip.swf -extdir . -platformsdk /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPh oneOS6.0.sdk/

  • Zen Micro "Player is Locked" will not appear after Updating to version 1.03.5 (Please He

    Hi Everyone,
    I just purchased a Zen Micro and seems to be in good working condition. I noticed that while runing the original firmware that when I locked the player a box saying "Player is locked" would appear if I tried to press another button.
    However, after I updated to the next firmware (.03.5) I noticed that this would not appear any more. So I updated it to latest version 2.0... and noticed that it still doesn't appear.
    Is this happening to anyone else who has updated the firmware? Please reply with any information since I am thinking that mine might be defecti've and therefore I would need to return it ASAP to get another one.
    Also I noticed that the original factory-installed firmware is not included on the dowloads section.
    Thank You,
    ATT

    ... The player lock button "works" but a display would appear to let the user know that the player is locked (this display was a little box in the middle of the screen similar to the "shutting down" display, and would only appear when you pressed a button while the player was locked).
    This used to work with the factory firmware version. However when I updated the firmware this does not appear anymore when I press a button while the player is locked. The lock functions but this display does not appear (is this also happening to anyone else?)
    Please respond

    Doublechecking. What's the filename of the installer you've been downloading? (The 32-bit installer is called iTunesSetup.exe, and the 64-bit installer is called iTunes64Setup.exe.)
