Releasing a transaction in TM

Hi All,
I created an investment transaction in Transaction Manager.
After saving it, the status shows "Release Required".
How do i release this transaction?
Thanks,
Anu

I'm not sure why you're seeing what you're seeing....  Did you change the configuration on the transaction type between creating the transaction and going into TI90?  In the Define Transaction Types configuration there is a flag "Automatic posting release" that controls whether or not the transactions need to be released in TI90 before posting.  I've changed this flag in the past after creating transactions and don't recall that it caused any issues - but maybe I just not remembering them.
The only other thing that I've run into that's caused issues with the release functionality is with transactions that use reference interest rates.  But that issue was just that TJ05 (automatic interest rate adjustment) released the transactions when it updated the reference interest rates on the transactions - and we didn't realize that it would do that.

  • JDBInsight 2.0 Released - True Transaction Analysis !!!

Check out the product and revised documentation at:
    http://www.jinspired.com/products/jdbinsight/downloads/index.html
    PRESS RELEASE
    =============
    DUBLIN, IRELAND - 29th October, 2003 - JInspired (www.jinspired.com), a leader
in J2EE(tm) transaction analysis, today announced JDBInsight 2.0, the next generation
of J2EE performance management products from JInspired.
JDBInsight is the first product to effectively integrate Java profiling information
with JDBC/SQL transaction analysis. Version 2.0 has numerous features derived
from its support of the Java VM Profiling Interface(JVMPI) such as Java call stack
analysis, cpu, blocking and waiting measurements at the transaction path level.
Clock measurements are adjusted for blocking, waiting and gc pauses. New features
    in this release
    - New console user interface: Many new informative visualizations of J2EE transactions
and performance execution profiles have been added. Including call stack graphs,
entry point tree maps, sequence diagrams, call stack and transaction transcripts.
Additional views included allow for navigation of the performance profile via
database table or column, Java package, class, or method, technology classification,
SQL tokens, or transaction entry points.
    - Java call stack classification engine: Developers, testers, database and J2EE
server administrators can now better understand the interaction of various Java
enterprise technologies with corporate databases. Classifications are available
for Java enterprise technologies such as EJB, Hibernate, JDO, JMS, JSP, Servlets,
    JTS, JDBC, and Struts.
    - Terminal services: The terminal services add-on provides a quick and easy way
to communicate with multiple servers without having to use a graphical user interface.
This facilitates the streamlined connection, activation and deactivation of profiles
on local or remote servers with the ability to control multiple servers from a
single terminal. The terminal environment provides a powerful environment to create
and schedule snapshot information, in order to monitor servers at regular intervals,
with the ability to store and retrieve snapshots from any mounted drive, as well
as providing a rich set of commands, that can be executed from saved scripts,
to assist in analysis of this highly detailed profile data.
    - Transaction demarcations: JDBInsight 2.0 is the first performance management
product to have the ability to detect and present resource transaction demarcations
    - allowing visual sub-transaction identification.
    - Resource Management: JDBInsight keeps counters representing objects states for
each JDBC interception point create a resource object. When a JDBC resource changes
state the allocation site counters are updated. This helps to pinpoint source
code locations where resource objects are created and not closed properly or freed
from memory. Because an interception is a combination of call stack and SQL the
view caters for generic J2EE application frameworks which create objects based
    on application parameters and callers.
    - Xml export: Various statistical measurements can be viewed in Xml format and
copied into applications for custom report generation.
    - Server options: Additional system properties to customize the small amount of
    overhead added during runs.
    About JDBInsight
JDBInsight is an innovative enterprise development product, aimed at simplifying
the performance tuning and testing of J2EE(tm) applications, which access data
through the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC(tm)) API. JDBInsight analyses the
access of enterprise data by J2EE(tm) client-, web-, and bean containers. The
analysis can encompass transaction executions, from multiple J2EE(tm) containers.
JDBInsight captures timing and execution information for enterprise data accessed
by Servlets, JavaServer Pages, Session- and Entity Beans using JDBC(tm) or an
Entity Bean using a container's persistence engine. JDBInsight can also profile
non-J2EE applications that access enterprise data through the JDBC(tm) API.
What distinguishes JDBInsight from other profiling and performance management
tools on the market is that JDBInsight provides analysis from a sequence perspective
instead of simply showing a call tree. Inefficiencies in J2EE applications occur
mainly at the transaction level such as repeating the execution of a particular
SQL locally and globally. JDBInsight facilitates the recognition of database interaction
patterns that exhibit inefficiencies when viewed in terms of the sequential execution
of a business and/or resource transaction.
    About JInspired
JInspired located in Ireland, delivers JDBInsight, a comprehensive solution for
Application Performance Tuning and Testing that focuses directly on early identification
within the development and testing lifecycle. Jinspired offers sophisticated analytical
tools, that capture transactional behaviour and performance timing information,
across multiple containers in a single console, and presents this information
intuitively to the user "Visualizing the Invisible".

  • Parking & Releaseing a transaction by using T code F-38

    Dear Friends,
I would like to know whether we should park and release a statistical entry of Bank Guarantee thru T Code F-38. The same user will create then superior will release it.

    Hi,
First of all..why would system need a Exchange gain/Loss Account..If your local currency is INR and you posted a debit and a credit document both in INR..then there is no question of a foreign exchange gain/loss account..
BUT, if you have posted the document in any currency other than INR, ie: your local currency...then the system would need a exchnage gain/loss account when you try to clear the debits and credits.. i am giving an example below to explain better..
    You posted a debit of 100 USD @ 40 = Rs. 4000.00
    You posted a Credit of 100 USD @ 42 = Rs. 4200.00
Now, if you clear this debit and credit then there is no difference in 100 USD, as the debit and credit is netting off.. but if you see INR there is a difference of Rs. 200.00 which system posts to Exchange gain/loss account..which we maintain in OB09.
Hope it is clear to you now..

    SAPFICO.

  • How to integrate 2 diff transactions into one

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to combine trasaction FBPM(SAPFPAYM) & Z_ACHEMAIL(RFFOAVIS_FPAYM) transactions into single transaction i.e As soon as the file is released through transaction code FBPM then the email notifications should be sent automatically(RFFOAVIS_FPAYM).
But when i try to use
    call trasaction FBPM.
call trasaction Z_ACHEMAIL. One after other in my z program its not executing both at a time since both are having diff selection screen. its only executing FBPM transaction, its unbling me to press back button to get into Z_ACHEMAIL AND again i need to execute. So please let me know ur ideas how can i achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi Vishal,
You could try using the SUBMIT statement. Through this statement you can pass parameters to the selection screen of the second transaction, however instead of the name of the transaction you'll need to pass the name of the program. Check the documentation for more detail.
    Hope it helps.

  • Finding releasing agent of purchase order

    Hi experts!
I am trying to find out the releasing agent of a purchase order, following release using transaction ME29n. How can I find this data? I've tried using the object and the related tables, but to no avail.
    Thanks in advance!
    Sincerely,
    Christian

    Thanks for your replies!
Nazrin: We're using the release strategy concept only partially. In the WF rule, and the exit, approvers are attached based on accounting information, since this is common practice in this case. This is based on an extensive approval register table, which can not contain release codes. Therefore, we use only one such code in order to take advantage of the standard workflow, and "simulate" the process. When the release has taken place, I need to update the view with the user id of the approver, so I have to find this agent by other means.
Regarding Antony's reply, I'm trying that right now
By the way, does anyone know if it is possible to get the system to display multiple approvers in the grid in ME29n?
    Thanks!

  • PR Release date in TAB Quantity/Dates

    Hi Experts ,
When i am creating a PR then In the TAB>Quantity/Dates the release date is coming same as the delivery date .
As per my opinion it by default should be same as the PR requested date .and when it release by( me54 or me55) .then it will update as the dated on which we are releasing the PR.
    Please Suggest
    Varun Bisaria

    Hi Varun,
The field 'release date' is a bit confusing. It has nothing to do with
the date you perform the release strategy (transaction ME54 or ME55).
The help on the field tells you more about it.
The release date does not mean PR release approval date.
In PR table/EBAN-FRGKZ or ME53 screen you can find the 'release date',
then press F1 -> purchase requisition release date which means for the
material to be available on the date it is needed the PR must be release
on xx.xx.xx (date) (that's requirement date less GR proessing time, GR
proessing time, planned delivery time, and purchasing department
    processing time).
In ME53 screen -> item detail -> MRP data block (include release date.)
click 'statistics' icon -> administrative data (include release ind. and
    rel. strategy).
In ME5A -> press F1 on 'release date' of initial screen which have same
    explain for this field.
There is no actual PR release date field in EBAN, so in PR display,
we can not see "actual PR release date".

  • ME55 error - Release via individual release

    Hi I have a question,..
We are using overall release strategy.
Now I have 2 line item in a same purchase requisition, and when run ME55 it show me the message "Release Possible".
Then after that, using ME52N we change the requisition and cancel 1 of those items, of couse a new release strategy was defined by the amount we defined.
But now, when go to ME55 now the messahe said "Release via individual release"... ann with ME55 cannot be release.. I need to go to ME54 and ME54N.
Do you know why SAP do that? what is the reason of this?

    Dear,
As available in SAP NOTES 668940
    Program error.
This problem occurs after deleting one item of a purchase requisition. The consequence is that all documents created afterwards will no longer be releasable via ME55.
    Check the corrective information.
Please also check: Note 69792 - ME55->ME54 Changes from ind.release updated wrongly
Note 92315 - Call individual release - call transaction
Note 72100 - Individual release - only allowed items

    Hello,
For developing Web Service definition, you do not need ABAP consultant. If you have development authorization with developer key maintained in your system, you can create Web Service definition in few mouse clicks using wizard (from SE37 or SE80). After creating the definition (which is transportable across the landscape), you have to configure it in each client (creation of end point using SOAMANAGER). Please see the link below which shows the details for definition and configuration.

    Hi,
The release code is a two character ID allowing a person to release (clear, or approve) a requisition or an external purchasing document. The release codes is basically controlled via a system of authorizations (authorization object M_EINK_FRG).
Use SE12, structure CEKKO to check all the fields available for controlling the Purchase Order.
An example of configuring a Purchase Order Release Strategy
If the total value for the Purchase Order exceeds 10,000, release strategy 01 is assigned to the Purchase Order. There is only one characteristic created in this example. For controlling the Purchase Order type, create characteristic for CEKKO-BSTYP and the value NB.
Steps for configuring the PO release strategy
    Create the PO Characteristic
    Transaction code : CT04 - Create Characteristic e.g. NETVALUE
    Click Additional data tabstrips
Table name CEKKO Field name GNETW and press enter and you will see this information message :-
Format data taken from Data Dictionary (press enter)
(for currency dependent field, you are prompt to enter the currency which the system then converts the currency of the Purchasing document into this currency)
In the Basic data tabsritps (X refers to tick),
    X Mutliple values
    X Interval values
In the Value data, in the Char. value column, type >=10000 (equal or greater than 10000) and press enter
    Save your data
Create the Class of the PO Release Strategy
    Transaction code : CL02 - Class
    Class - Create REL_PUR
    Class type - 032
    Click Create button
Description - Release Procedure for Purchase Order
In the Same Classification section, click Check with error
In the Char. (characteristic) tabstrips, type NETVALUE to assign your characteristics to the class
Save your data and this message will appear :-
Class type 032: Class REL_PUR created
    Define the Release Procedure

    Release Strategy - New entries
    Release group 02
    Rel.strategy 01 - Release
    Release codes 01
    Release status 0 - Blocked
    1 - Release
    Click the Release prerequisities button
Click the Relase statuses button the click the Continue button
    Click the Classification button
    Choose your check values
    Click the Back button
    Save your entries
    Check your PO release configuration
Finally, check your PO Release Strategy configuration to make sure that there are no errors.
    OMGSCK - Check Release Strategies
(make sure there are no error messages)
Once the Purchase Order is not release, buyers will not be able to print the Purchase Order.
Goods Receipts will be shown with Message no. ME 390 - Purchasing document XXXXXXX not yet released.
In 4.6c, Purchase Order with Release Strategy have a tabs at the end of the Header. This allowed the buyers to check the release status of the Purchase Order.
The person with the release authorization have to use ME28 to release the Purchase Order.

  • Problem in creating Release group for Release Procedure for PR

    Hi Experts,
I could not able to create Release Group ( 01 & 02 ) for Release Procedure and assigning it with a Class
( Z_CLASS_PR ) in Set up Procedure with Classification.
The following error is getting displayed.
Please check release classes (see long text)..
How to over come this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nani

    Release group:
You are only allowed to use one class for each release object (1=PReq, 2=Purchase order). When you use the overall release (as of Release 4.0A), you are only allowed to use one class for the overall release or individual release. If you use the overall release for purchase requisitions, you must mark this for the document type (transaction OMEB, flag for V_T161-GSFRG) and the release group (transaction OMGQ, flag for V_T16FG-FRGFG). In the overall release, the system only takes into account characteristics that are identical for all items. If, for example, item 10 of a purchase requisition contains material group 001 and item 20 contains material group 002, the material group is set to BLANK for the strategy determination.
