Releasing Blackberry Pin

Hi,
I have been trying all week to no avail to get my Blackberry PIN released from the Verizon network, to use with a foreign sim & BIS service. The phone is unlocked but it seems the PIN is locked to a BES service thru a Verizon retailer. I have reached out to Verizon Tech Support & RIM Tech Support & am just getting the run around. Can anyone guide me in the right direction to get help with this? The last Verizon Tech rep I spoke to told me that RIM could assist once I had the SRP code & Subscription code for the original BES. I can not get that & have not found a way around it. If i can get the PIN released from Verizon, I would even consider hooking the phone up with Verizon again once I am back in the USA. Anyone that has any idea on how to go about getting this done for a 9550 Storm, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to hook it up on the Digicel Cayman network while I am here on a job. I have tried everything possible including doing a factory reset & no luck. I still can not get the service books sent or register with the BIS service properly because of the PIN being locked to a Verizon BES network. The phone was purchased thru eBay, after it was purchased from a Verizon retailer (where it was a display phone).
Thanks in advance,

I was able to get certain information from Verizon Tech support, but then the support stopped. Does anyone have an email address for Verizon Blackberry Tech Support?

  • Blackberry Pin release problem from Emitac Mobile Solutions LLP

I just bought an old blackberry phone.
    Curve 9360
    PIN: {REMOVED}
    IMEI: {REMOVED}
I want to use the BIS service but the operator just told me that the
PIN is already registered at some different operator and you have to
    release the pin from there.
The carrier is Emitac Mobile Solutions LLP.
    Please suggest.

You have two possibilities so far as I know.....
Track down last owner, or the owner that had the BIS, have the individual contact the carrier (not yours, the other carrier) and do whatever it takes to get the PIN released.
Figure out the other carrier.  Explain the situation.  Ask for help.
It's a tall order.  I think hope is slim, but who knows.
If the device instead is actually blocked because it was reported stolen at some point, or someone walked out on finishing payments, you have no hope.

  • How do you trace a blackberry pin

some one please help, can you trace a blackberry pin and if you can how

    Hello,
Please see this helpful post for useful information:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Device-software-for-BlackBerry/Lost-or-Stolen-BlackBerry-What...
Basically, if you did something BEFORE this happened (e.g., installed the FREE BB Protect), then the answer might be "yes". But, like insurance, trying to do something AFTER it happens is not possible.
    Good luck!

  • How to send message to blackberry pin

How do I send a message to a blackberry PIN number from my Iphone?

Blackberry Messanger (BBM) is specific to Blackberry owners only... although I have heard rumors that RIM may license limited access to other Smartphone users in the future... for a fee, of course, and with limited functionality.
Until them, you'll have to Text (SMS) them.

  • Blackberry Pin assigned to another network provider

I have bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 off the internet and when I have contacted my mobile provider I have been told the BB Pin is assigned to another network.  How am I able to retrieve the details of this or resent the pin so it can be added to my current provider.

Only the previous user or yourself can request that the PIN be released from the previous account.
Normally that network will do this... and only not do so if the previous account is is unpaid or overdue, or the device was reported as lost of stolen.
So you need to get your seller to handle that, or get your money back.

  • Getting Serial Number using BlackBerry PIn

    Hi guys
does anyone know how to generate the device serial number using the PIN? My precious limited edition just got stolen at an accident a few minutes ago.
BlackBerry Protect on location it's shaded out, likely won't be able to see it's location once wiped. Though I do hope to recover it.
Please help. The box is more than 1000 miles away and can only access it probably once my mum is back there from her holiday this side in about a month.

The Ultimate Currency Converter and T2G - BloGFeed

Your carrier should have that on file so giving them a call would be an idea.
It's a good idea to call them anyway to cancel the SIM card ASAP.
    Cheers.

  • Blackberry PIN on my phone that got stolen

I wanted to know, if my blackberry’s PIN is linked with my blackberry account with Fido (Canadian company), does that mean that no one else can register that blackberry on the network?
I just wanted to know since my unlocked blackberry curve 8900 was stolen. It’s pin is {edited out information}, in case someone knows of a way to do something about it.
    Thanks!
    Jeremy

Correct. As long as you leave the PIN registered on your account, it can't be registered elsewhere.
However, the carrier can remove the PIN if requested by another user, so it can be registered to use again.
My advice, report the theft to your local police and your carrier. It could be returned, you never know.
Otherwise, it's gone. There's nothing you can do.

  • Flip 8220, lost Blackberry PIN, only a 2 shows up on the options/status screen

    Is there any solutions ?
After aprox 9 months working fine the phone suddenly lost its PIN, only shows up a 2 on the status screen.  The internet and blackberry services by the wireless service provider are not anymore available (the services are active), the EDGE status is not in capital letters.
Can this be corrected to the original PIN number ?
Or is the phone just damaged ?
    Thanks for any help

I have not heard of this.  I've heard of the pin going to FFFFFFFF but never just to a 2.  Have you tried removing the battery to reboot the device?  If so, then I'm guessing the device is defective or has been disabled for some reason.  Did you purchase the device new?  If so, it should be covered under warranty if it's only 9 months old.

  • BUYING BLACKBERRY PIN?

hi! i bought a second hand blackberry curve 8310... they told me it was open to every telephone company here in ecuador but apparently the pin number is not valid... i dont know why... someone told me that u can buy a pin number from blackberry site... is this true? if it is true where can i buy it? they told me u can buy it for 20$ or so...

Manuel, there are two possible reasons.
The first: device pin code is locked to another wireless operator. You can call to this operator and ask for unlock code for your device. Either you can buy an unlock code in one of many companies which sell unlock codes for blackberry device.
The second: device pin is blocked, because this device was reported as lost. In such cases wireless operators lock the device pin. In this case you need to contact the wireless operator who locked this device and clarify the situation.

  • Blackberry pin and board

    hi
my curve board is damaged and i send it to the service center but they told me that i need new board
    so
there is any way that i can keep my old PIN since i am planning to buy new blackberry
or there is a chance the i send it to you and fix it for me becous really i was sooo lucky with the PIN
    waiting your reply
    and have a nice day

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
As a user-to-user community, this site is not a method of requesting anything formally from RIM. Your service provider is your channel for formal requests. However, since each PIN is unique to one BB in the world, I would doubt that what you request can be done.
    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry PIN guessing

I received a suspicious long email-like message as a "PIN Peer-to-Peer" this morning. It is written in a language I don't understand (Indonesian of some kind) and has RIM branding all over it.
I don't know how they could have got my PIN as I never post it anywhere, so I'm wondering if anyone else got a similar message. Could it be that someone has a script that just tries guessing PINs? It wouldn't be that hard to write one, I guess, but shouldn't BlackBerry security stop the message from being sent?

It happens. Rarely, from what I can tell. I don't know exactly how it is done, but I think it is as you say. Can't say either way if BlackBerry could block it. My advice is ignore it if it is indeed a rare occurrence.

  • Cost of Blackberry PIN messages?

Hi there, hope someone can help!
The company I work for has Blackberrys for all staff and we have started communicating via the PIN messaging service but we're unsure of whether this incurs a cost or not?
We've contacted our service provider who say they've never even heard of the service! (useful, eh?) They suggested we contacted Blackberry, as it's possible that Blackberry charge our service provider and that cost is then passed on to us. I've had a look on the website but can't see anything.
Can anyone help, and advise whether there's likely to be a charge?
    Thanks!

PIN messages are charged the same as other data things, like email or web browsing. They are not like SMS messages where your carrier will change you a per-message charge. If you have unlimited data then you unlimited PIN messaging. If you do not have unlimited data, PIN messaging just counts toward your data limit (or possibly overage charge if you go over your limit).

  • Blackberry Pin Code

My cousin had a curve.  He ended up being killed in a car accident a couple months back, and I wanted to see if I could find a way to unlock the phone.  There are a lot of pictures on there that I want to keep to remember him and his family.  His daughter is almost 2 now and I want her to have pictures of her daddy when she gets older so she can see him and the kind of man that he was.  His wife didn't know his pin to unlock the phone in the beginning and I haven't a clue.  Is there anyways to unlock the phone or at least get the pictures and videos off of it.

    Hi Pantherpride
I am sorry to hear about your cousin, how sad it must be for his young family.
There is no way to circumvent the password requirement for the BlackBerry and after trying incorrectly 10 times (or less depending on the settings of the device) all the data will be wiped from the device.  It is possible that he had a media card in the BlackBerry.  If that is the case most likely he had the videos and pictures saved to media card.  You can get media card readers for a pc so it would be just a matter of removing the media card from the BlackBerry and transferring the data to a pc using a card reader.
    I hope this helps.
