Releasing fcsts from APO DP with time of 12:00:00

I am using APO V5.1
I know by default that forecasts are released from APO DP at the start of the buckets, ie 00:00:00.
How can I ensure that that the forecasts instead have a time stamp of 12:00:00?
Thanks for any advice on this...

  • Iphoto from back-up with Time Machine

Am using an external drive with automatic backup every hour but,I cannot open iphoto with Time Machine (can open all other applications) and for some reason can't follow some of the suggested solutions - my need is to recover just a few photos from a recently deleted folder. I am reasonably confident that I am not too old to understand my Mac.
Thanks in advance for a solution.
    Ernest.

You need to restore the Library from Time Machine.
In brief: TM is an incremental back up application. The first time it runs it copies the whole Library, thereafter it just copies the changes. So, the actual library on TM is a colection of bits: Original+changes = Current Library. So you can't open iPhoto with Time Machine or open an iPhoto Library that's in a Time Machine back up.
Restoring is the process where TM gathers up all the bits and puts them back together for you.
And this is how you do it:

  • Retrieve iPhoto files from external drive with Time Machine

I can retrieve all other files with Time Machine (including photos in Pictures) but not my iPhoto pics. Have read a few suggestions but having trouble following.
    Thanks in anticipation, Ernest.

If you are trying to restore individual photos saved in iPhoto, you cannot do that. Instead, you need to restore the whole iPhoto library.
To prevent the lose of the most recent photos, go to the folder where you have got your iPhoto library (by default, Pictures) and copy it to another folder. Then, in that folder, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities), navigate through your backups and restore the iPhoto library you need

  • Remote wired network from wireless source with Time Capsule?

    Hi,
I need to connect wired ethernet devices (e.g. printer) that are remotely located from my router and cable modem.  I am hoping to achive this by plugging the printer into the time capsule and have the time capsule join the network, but I cannot connect the TC to the modem with a cable.  Is this peven possible or does the TC have to be connected via wired ethernet from the router?
Seems like it should be easy but I have not had success yet.  I must be missing something!
    TC - 2TB model A1302
    Thanks and Happy Holidays!

BTW, my router is a Linksys WRT54GL
    ThanksWRT54GLWRT54GL
Are you running it on 3rd party, dd-wrt and the like??
They were an excellent router.. but are now well and truly out of date. They always had slow wan to lan throughput but it wasn't a big deal with slow internet speeds of yester-year.. now the G wireless and slow throughput are really shown up as inadequate.
And WDS is terrible in most early implementations.. Unless you do WDS to an identical router running identical firmware.. just don't do it.
What about simply using the TC in place of the WRT.. and get a second hand (if you don't want to spend too much) airport extreme, or a new express as the connection to the wired devices.
Or using EOP adapters (homeplug is another name).. for the printer.
You can certainly use the WRT54G as universal bridge to the TC.. as an alternative.. that would work better with the current hardware.. and the older dd-wrt should be fine.. (some of the newer DD-WRT are hopeless) but you cannot use WPA2.. only WPA to do it. This has to be done on 3rd party firmware.. no way on linksys firmware.. but third party is fine on these boxes.. they were after all the pioneers.

  • Can't restore my data from hard drive with time machine

So basically I recently backed up my things on an external 1TB Seagate hard drive via Time Machine on my Mac. I then restored my Mac to its factory settings. However when I plugged in my hard drive it didn't show up in my finder. I opened Disk Utility and it shows up there but when I tried to restore my data it wasn't able to find it. This is so weird and I'm so scared can someone please help me

And another thing, my mac is randomly turning off and then displaying a gray screen saying your mac shut down because of a problem. does this have someting to do with the disk
Sounds like the TimeMachine drive is defective.
Uplug it and reboot and see if your problems go away.
If your TimeMachine is broken it might be possible to do data recovery on it, you can take it to a local PC/Mac tech and they will image it so the files are accessible, then you can pick through the mess as long as it wasn't encrypted or Filevaulted.
TimeMachine uses a lot of placeholder files, basically the same name but minus the content of the files for each saved state.
It's a lot of work going through all the folders to find your original files but as long as the drive works the files should be able to be recovered.
Sorry about your problems, TimeMachine hasn't quite lived up to it's expectations and I try to warn everyone NOT to completely trust it.

  • Can I restore backup from another mac with time machine?

I would like to restore files from a TM backup from another Mac - is this possible? Thanks.

I'm not sure I know how to help. I use OS X Server's Time Machine services from a Mac Mini to do my back ups to a drive connected to that server. I have the same user account on one MBP Retina that does not do back ups as another MBP Retina that DOES back ups. However, I can't even open the sparse bundle from the one that doesn't do back ups of the one that does (if that makes sense).
You might try and see if this link helps. This guy was the TM guru around here. He might have addressed a solution to what you're trying to do.

  • How can I prevent my mouse from erratic tracking with time machine on?, How can I rpevent my mouse from errtic tracking with time machine on?

I am running 10.8.5 on my MBP, and external monitor, keyboard and Magic Mouse. When I have Time Machine on the mouse is a pain to use use as it does not track properly. Is there anyway to have Time MAchine come on after 30 minutes of inactivity or something? I have yet to find that prference.
    Thanks,

I was doing that and I wanted something on Sept 18 and I shut it off on 8/20 and never turned it back on. So that will work but you have to remember to turn it it. There should almmost be an option somewhere to check that when the system goes to sleep, turn on Time Machine. All my PC back-up stuff has that option. Surprised TM doesn't. If raising the memory will do it it seems to cheap enough. Will that help you think. And I did just reboot my machine yesrday so it is pretty clean:).

  • How can I recover images deleted from my vault with Time Machine

My vault died and with it one of my projects within the vault. The other images plus some new ones are in the vault ok but I am slightly worried about reinstating my Aperture library and not just focusing on the missing project and images. BUT there appears to be no way of seeing the files within the Aperture library. I would welcome some advice about this. Thanks

This must be a tough one, I can actually hear the birds chirping

  • HT201250 How to view old desktops with Time Machine?

Hi, I was wondering how you can view your old desktops from past updates with Time Machine? Such as the wallpaper that was used and how your dock icons were arranged. I don't mean a full restore just a quick view of the old desktops. Thanks in advance.

i think it will be the com.apple.desktop.plist on the user library

  • How to connect my new MacBook Air to a LaCie hard disk with TIme Capsule backup from my old Imac? LaCie has USB 2.0, FireWire and eSata ports.

How can I connect my new MacBook Air to a LaCie hard disk with TIme Capsule backup from my old Imac? LaCie has USB 2.0, FireWire and eSata ports.

You can direct connect your MBA to the LaCie via USB 2 cable.  If you have an Apple Airport Router you can USB connect the LaCie drive to the router and then use Airport Utility to configure it.  Time Machine can access it either way.

  • I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work. Help?

I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work.
^^ that's the main problem. Here's the full history.
I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. Can anyone help? The Apple store is a major detour for me and would like to fix this issue myself.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Migration Assistant (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Migration Assistant) is the tool that you would use to restore backups from older Macs to another Mac.
Details are here:   http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrateLion.html   The same info applies for Mavericks and Yosemite.   If you are saying that this is a "no go".....where are you getting stuck?  What error messages do you see?

  • HT3275 Since updating OS to Mountain Lion from leopard, I get the following error message when trying to backup with time machine on external drive.  Could not complete backup to media share.  The network backup disk does not support the required AFP feat

Since updating OS to Mountain Lion from leopard, I get the following error message when trying to backup with time machine on external drive.  "Could not complete backup to media share.  The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features."  What are AFP features and how do I get Time Machine to backup to my current external backup?

This means that your NAS does not support the required encryption. Update your NAS to the latest firmware or ditch it and buy a Time Capsule (they are the most reliable when using TM).

  • Can I back up computer with time machine on lion then reinstall snow leopard and restore from backup safely

Can I back up computer with time machine on lion then reinstall snow leopard and restore from backup safely?

If your machine came with Snow Leopard or earlier and you have your install disks, yes, you can reinstall SL. However, you will need to erase the entire hard drive so you will lose all your files. Also note that there are some apps (such as Mail) which can't be downgraded "automatically" such as with a restore from Time Machine. Here is some info on TM:
