Releasing issue

Hi Gurus,
We are using 3.1i system.when we are seeing the particular document number in FB03,it is showing nearly 20 line items.for a particular line item the business area is not picking.in document header i checked that from T.code(ck21,Releasing)the line items are posting automatically.they have done the releasing for 1st month of 2010.due to not picking up the business ares for a particular line item they are not matching the trail balance.Suggest on this issue.

I am not sure if you are familiar with validation/substitution functionality =>

With validation functionality you can ensure (for example), that there is no accounting line item without business area assignment posted.
With substitution functionality you can change/add/delete a lot of things within accounting documents before they get posted, maybe your business area is derived correct but substituted by mistake with business area 'blank'.

PR Overall release issue

PR release strategy issue comes when Line items in PR added by two different persons, PR Release strategy(overall release) not getting triggered.
Release strategy is working fine if i create PR with only one user id.
Both id's maintained in classification.
Is this sap standard behavior??

Triggered correct release strategy TD QH.
Added line item 20 using user Id - 345045 --- (release startegy gone)

We have a similar equirement since we have cost center as one of the characteristics in PR overall release strategy.
In our case we agreed with Business that the CC in the first PR line item will decide the release strategy. (Or the first CC of thefirst line item in case of multiple account assignment.) We wrote a small piece of code to achieve this, to enter that CC in ceban-kostl.
If your business requirement permits, you may follow this strategy, where user id of the first line item will derive release strategy.

Solution Manager 7.1 Upgrade - ST add on release Issue

Good day
I have the following issue where the ST add on's are = the target release of the upgrade. The release is only on a higher patch level in 7.1(SPS4)
The step is Configuration(3) in SOLMANUP, it will not get past the phase of deciding to keep the add on's, the error is:
For the following Add-on component(s) the KEEP YOURS decision is not longer valid,
since at least for one of the base components an Add-on upgrade has been included:
ST-ICO     (changed base component: ST)
ST-PI      (changed base component: SAP_BASIS)
ST-SER     (changed base component: ST-PI)
You need to change the decision of the above Add-on(s).

I am using SOLMANUP, I am using the installation/upgrade software and using SPS 4 as my target release. I am using SPS4_upgrade.xml in my download directory.
If I try using SPS 2 with SPS2_upgrade.xml it produces an error because my patch level of ST-PI is already patch 5 in my current system(Solution Manager 7.01 EHP1), and SPS 2 of Solution Manager 7.1 ST-PI = patch 4, that's why I am using SPS 4 stack as it is a higher level that my current patch level of ST-PI.
The issue is that the mentioned ST add-on's are the same release as the target release, the only difference is the patch level. The upgrade recognises that the source and target release is the same, but will not let me keep with Decision = Keep

Lightroom 4 (beta and current release) - Issue with Select Catalog screen - catalogs not displaying

I noticed this during the beta test version of LR4 and was hoping it would be corrected in the actual release (which I installed yesterday). Here's the issue:
When the Select Catalog window opens, catalogs will not display unless I click in the empty space in the window (first screenshot)...then they will appear one by one as I start to click (second screenshot) until all are displayed.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? These catalogs are NOT on a network drive, they are on my desktop machine (Win Vista 64-bit).

I have the identical problem.
LR3 worked perfectly. LR4 won't refresh the Catalog screen at startup without me clicking on each entry. Only when an entry is selected will it appear.
I have an nvidia GeForce 9800GT video card, supporting dual monitors.
I'm using Vista 64.
I just upgraded to LR4 64bit, and immediately had this problem.
I installed the most current video driver (2/12/2012) with no change in problem (or performance).
I have not noticed any other program having issues, and have not changed any hardware recently.
I am also noticing that LR4 is visibly slower than LR3, to the point where most sliders don't slide evenly, but jump in increments unless I move VERY slowly.
I've watched the processor load using resource monitor: it is not peaking over about 65% during slider actvitivity.
I have an Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz with 8 gb of ram.

Maintenance Release Issue - 11.1.2.0 to 11.1.2.3

I have been facing a couple of issues post applying MAINTENANCE release on 11.1.2.0 to bring it to 11.1.2.3 release.
I am not able to launch Dimension library / Application library / Data Syncronization etc
Every time I try to open it I get the following error:
A 'Internal Server Error' error occurred communicating with the server.
Can any one let me know what might be going wrong?

Just telling some info, did you changed Oracle middleware home path (Oracle\Middleware folder names)??
I read somewhere if we change that default folder path, logs won't create properly.
Then regarding your issue, check IIS is running or not and did you configure EPMA successfully or not??
because here you have pasted configtool.log error msg. If no, then configure it first then try to lanuch.
If yes, then paste EPMA log here.
Please tell me which RDBMS you are using??

Abap transport release issue

hello,
i have a scenario where in my project, the crm development is happening. and for a single object there are about 4 people are working and there is a single transport request with 4 different tasks. Now that each folks are working individually and completing there task.. Now the developer1 completed his task and what to test it in quality but on release of the transport it started giving implication due to other TR tasks.
Now we are unable to figure out how to resolove this activity where we can resolve this issue. also that there is yet another crm component the other 4 guys are working on..
please let me know how to resolve this issue?

welcome to the club.
We had this trouble for years. Then they started to use SAP Solution manager, everybody got training courses on how to use and we can not create transport requests or transport them without creating a minimum of 3 Solution manager processes with a dozen or so steps and workflow and partner assignment and assignment of testers, developers, process administrators with approvals, releases, and and and guess what we got?
We have some 800% more of administrative overhead including full-time quaility managers.
And nothing is better than it was before:
We still face the task of unavoidable communication with people. I really hate all those developers, consultants and users.
Why can't the system do the job?

Weblogic Portal 9.2. Build and Release Issue

I am summarizing the issues which we are getting in build and release.I am working on Build and Release of my application which has 4 folders like this:
1. abcCommon: Contains all JAVA source files and some common libraries in the application.
2. abcEJB: We use EJB-GEN utility of workshop to generate the EJB classes which are available in this folder.
3. abcPortalWeb: Contains all web related files like java source files, Jsp files, portlets etc
4. abcPortalEar: Place for EAR and its contents.
Now I have seen some folders getting created like .metadata which contains all jars of ANDROMDA as well some other common jars. Besides these there are some folders which have xml files generated by workshop like _pageflow. This folder is getting created in classes folder of colPortalWeb by workshop.
We are using MAVEN to do a build of first 2 folders and ANT target which is called by MAVEN to build the abcPotalWeb due to some reasons. I am able to create an EAR out of it but pageflow folder is not available if I do a clean build without workshop. So this wont be a complete EAR as it wonâ€™t have the metadata files contained in pageflow. There must be some utility in workshop to generate these files which I am unable to make out and use it with ant. _pageflow folder contains xml files (containing metadata of annotations).
If I assume that _pageflow is already in classes folder generated by workshop, then I am able to create an EAR.
Questions:
Is there any automated way to do a complete build of the project? Weblogic 8.1 had a task i.e. wlwbuild which used to do everything for you but is not available in Weblogic 9.2. So is there any way to do an integrated build of the project or is there any target which is shipped with ant to do the same? This will essentially mean that we change the build strategy, which can be an option.
Please let me know if you have the answers for the same.
Note: We are using ANDROMDA with Weblogic 9.2. to generate the VOs and BOs. So we are using maven to do a build as it has Andromeda plugins and support for the same.

I haven't tried to do continous integration with 9.2, but I know that you can open the project in Workshop/Eclipse and choose to export the "Workshop ANT script" file. Remember that this isn't the regular ANT export.
I think you'll have to do this for each project and you have to fill in some of the properties.

Release Issue after PO Modification

Hi Gurus,
I am facing one issue. I have configured released strategy for PO. Alternate Release is authorisation based.
The release is working perfectly during creation of PO. PO is picking appropriate release strat based on value after creation.
But if one modify the PO value which is not falling under the authorisation of the modifier, It is not going to release again which is supposed to be the case.
Can anybody suggest the possible problem area in config and its remedy.

I have checked the config of my release indicator as suggested by you. Please find the config data below-
SAP : 4.7
Release ind : R
Released : Checked
Changable : 6 ( Changeable, New Release if new strat. or value change/outputted)
Value Change % : no value
Description : PO Released
With the above mentioned config setting we are not getting the release reinitiated in case of value change in PO
Would you please suggest if I have to change the setting anyway like making the "Changeable :4" .

PR Release - Issue

PR was released by 2 levels .
1. Buyer
2. Finance
After PR was released P.O was created.
Now the Buyer Changed the P.R Release date in the PR.
for Finance this still shows in ME5a.
Question: Once P.O was ceated why did it allow to change the PR?

Hi,
You can block the PR for changes once it is released based on the Release Indicator. Assign the appropriate field selection key to the Release Indicator.
It doesn't depend on the PO created for that PR.

Po release issue

Dear all
I create new release procedure for purchase order .but after all release, when PO is released if I make some changes in PO system cannot block it for release again, I want it should be.

If u increase Value or Qty in PO and PO still falls in ur same Release Streatgy. Then It will not revoke.
for E.g. If Ur Value in
Streatgy X is Value => 1.00 AND < =1000
 Plant = A
 B
Now Y is Value >1000 AND <=2000
 Plant = A
 B
Now suppose ur PO Value is 10 INR and u change it to 900....then ur release streagty will not revoke as this still falls in X.
Solution is that....If u have version management, then it will go to next version and and there is complete indicator in that version.
You have to check that checkbox and Save. then only ur release streatgy will revoke.
and if u change that value to 1001 or plant.....then ur release streatgy will go to revoke.

Credit Release issue

Hi Friends,
I'm currently facing a scenario were it was reported by the client that credit release is happening automatically.
Order was created on 12 May and it was blocked (reaches the VKM1 bucket )
   since the customer have no credit limit.The same order on 13th Oct was not in VKM1
   bucket were the status of order in Sales document header states that it's released.
I've checked the change log on 13th - "Overall status of credit checks changed" from B to A.
   (( Status and details below
      A - Credit check was executed and document is OK.
      B - Credit check was exectued and Document is not OK (credit block).
      C - Credit check was executed document not OK, Partial release.
      D- Document released by Sales representative. ))
2, I tried to replicate the order status for block and release, But when I release through VKM1 / VKM3
     the change logs are getting updated with Status - D .(ie from B to D) .
I'm wondering that what could be the reason that causes the system update the overall credit status from B to A
or because of what change from the client in the sales document header level could impact this changes.
Also there is no changes in order say Price & others

When a order is blocked due to credit check the status will be B.I have checked in the system and found that once order is blocked and if you increase the credit limit of the customer in customer credit master (FD32) then status will be changed to A as approved in VKM3.

IDOC Released Issue

This is for IDOC orders05 ECC 6.00. When I am checking the idoc in We30 . It showing E2EDP19002 as not released But When we generate the IDOC , E2EDP19002 is going . But my problem is with the release version as I am sharing the HTML/DTD files with the MW for mapping purpose .
Could anybody throw the light over this ?

Po releases issue

User A has created po and B is approval for that po,
But A wants to submitte that po to C for approval ,
Is it possible to choose approver C for A for approving po, If yes then How.
If it is no then how he ( A ) can select the approver C , please explain

In SAP the Change of approval path cannot be decided by requestor,
it is POssible in tolls like mars or some other HTML tool.
IN SAP it is controlled by the authorizations.
In the SAP release strategy.there are release codes and release group.
so if in the strategy the release code and group is assigned to one person ,he can release the same.
if it is not assigned ,it cant be .so if you wanto change we have to change the roles and attach as suggested above.

Transport Release Issue For Process Chain

Hi Gurus,
While trying to relase my request, which has Process Chain to be imported to testing environment i am getting a message like below:
Check Objects before release and msg as
key :R3TR TABU RSCOMPTLOGOT ERSPC*(Application Component Of Process Chain)
If i click release anyway the information i get is "You have to be an approver to bypass this check" and it is not released.
I have checked the request and it is consistent and "ok".
Not able to understand why i am not able to release this request.
Please guide me on this.

Can you check your process chain or any part of proce chain (diff process type) are not locked in two different transport request ?
If so then delete the object from one request and add same object in another request and release.

Order with Pick Release issue

Hi there, need help. I am having a problem with an order which has already been pick released and created
the delivery id but the pick status is still staying with 'Ready to Release'.
Is anyone knows what is the possibility causes the problem? Appreciate your help and advice.

with the id you have given, I checked in the wsh_delivery_details table, the move_order_line_id is actually 'NULL' for this delivery id. Any other clues?
