Relink all for 8.0.5.2
Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a 'relink all' for 8.0.5.2. If not, is there a equivalent to this in version 8.0.5.2. I need the relink because I copied the ORACLE_HOME from one box to the other and I need to do a relink for the binary to work on the new box.
Has anyone copy the binary of 8.0.5.2 to a new box and made it work? Thank you.
Are these two boxes exactly the same?
Could you not have installed that version of software, instead of just copying?
It creates several other files and directories that may still be missing for everything to work correctly.
What type of issues are you currently having that require that relink step?
Have you considered moving to a more recent supported version of the database?

CRMToolBox gives you an option to work on webresources. Alternatly, You can export the webresource, work in Visual Studio and use the browse button on the webresource editor to upload the updated file.

As a professional PS artist who works on files with sometimes hundreds of layers, I often need to transform many layers or groups at once. It is a nightmare to find that after the transformation, a mask did not get included in the transformation, (especially when the file is many gigs large, and the transformation took 15 minutes). Sometimes, a mask is accidentally unlinked, but more commonly I unlink it temporarily, but forget to relink it. There is currently no way that I'm aware of to find these pesky unlinked layers, other than going through every single one. What would work great is to have a popup asking if you would like to relink all unlinked layers, whenever you're transforming multiple layers that include one or more unlinked masks. Or else have an option in the layers palette to either select or relink all unlinked layered masks. Hope this makes sense. Cheers!
Michael,
It looks like you are right! Thank you for your help.
I still have a small concern. I looked at the documentation and it reads,
"The configuration settings for a cache instance are stored in the USER_SDO_CACHED_MAPS metadata view. You should normally not manipulate this view directly, but should instead use the MapViewer administration tool, which uses this view to configure map cache instances."
But, I tried inserting records into USER_SDO_CACHED_MAPS and it works, and I can't really see any reason not to directly insert records into this table, so...
Perhaps that warning is there simply because potentially you could screw things up tinkering with the table directly.
Cheers!

Relinking all files in a document...
Hi all,
I'm running InDesign CS6 on Mac (Mountain Lion). I am working off site from my office for a while, so I've copied all the files from our server onto my desktop. All of the filenames, folders are identical to those on the server.
The problem is, when I take an InDesign file, all of the links are broken because it's trying to search the server. Is there an easy way to relink all of the files in my document?
Thanks!I interpret the OP to say he is recreating a file structure on his home workstation that matches the structure on the server, which may or may not be putting all the links into a single folder and putting that folder inthe same location as the .indd file (and I would have to say that since he's getting missing links that cannot be what is happening).
Packaging would, indeed, stop the missing link warning at home because that is the file structure that gets created inthe package folder. The problem is that the .indd file iin the package no longer has links to the original locations on the server, but to the new copies of the links in the package folder. Moving that file back to the server opens up the possibility that you now have two copies of all the linked assests and if they need to be updated the wrong ones will be modified or relinked at some point. This is a can of worms that I wouldn't want to open. You are quite correct, though, that whatever the OP does, if he relinks the files at home, he's setting up a missing link problem back in the office when he takes the file back.
I think the best course of action is to ignore the link warnings and just edit the text, but I don't know the scope of the work that needs to be done, nor if the files will ever be returned to the office or if they need to be output from home, all of which are important parts of the puzzle. -
How to relink all the image after moving the folders?
I have a lot of illustrator files in folder A and each file has tons of images from different folders (B, C, D...). All of these folders are inside a main root folder.
Recently I moved this root folder to an external drive then all the illustrator files disconnect with the images. Is there any way to relink all of those images all together instead of relink them one by one?
Thanks!RGB2CMYK2 wrote:
Thanks but then does it mean I not only have to relink everything but also have to gather all the images from different folders and put them in the same folder as the ai files? The images are from at least 20 different folders and there are more than a hundred of images in these 20 ai files.
I would say you made a big mistake by moving all those image especially since you know you had 20 ai files each with hundred of images.
Even if you did not move them this is a poor workflow sinvce for out put you more than likely would need to collect those linked images. That can be too much fun. -
Relink binaries for 10gAS and Discoverer Home
Hi all,
We are upgrading the Unix box from solaris 8 to solaris 10.
We have 10g AS infrastructure database and services in one home . BI Discoverer in another home.
For the database which is assiciated with the 10gAS we are going to run the relink all after the upgrade.
Please let me know is there any other steps to relink any other files which is related to 10gAS and Discoverer.
Thanks & Regards,
RakeshHi,
No additional steps are required, relinking all executable files after the upgrade should be enough.

Raid rebuild need to relink all folders to LR 5
Since Adobe makes it impossible to talk to them and I am forced to post this question here. I had to rebuilda raid from my back drives now all the files are no longer linked and have the little question mark how can I relink all the folder at one time? I don't want to do each folder individually as I have way to many to do that. I think there is a merge function however not sure how to do it and I don't want to screw this up and have to rebuild my raid again once is enough. Thank you for your help!
The ? means something is different in the path to the images than when they were first imported. What is different: a device name or drive letter or top-level path folder name? If so, then the easiest thing is to make the drive-letter or device name or top-level folder name the same as before.
If this is not possible, then you want to relink things (via right-click Locate Missing Folder) as high as possible in the folder tree--the top level folders. If you do that than all the folders underneath will also change without having to go to them individually. -

My Blu-Ray player has a USB input but it doesn't have an HDMI input. Can I connect my Apple TV to the Blu-Ray using an HDMI/ USB adapter? It would allow me to run the audio through my stereo. Thanks to all for your help.
Can I connect my Apple TV to the Blu-Ray using an HDMI/ USB adapter?
If you can find such a thing. I really doubt that exists since USB is a data connector not a video connector.
would allow me to run the audio through my stereo.
That would depend on this adapter. -
I downloaded the OEHR Sample Objects application and followed the steps in Oracle® Application Express Advanced Tutorials
Release 3.2.
The parameters and report seem to be working correctly except when I enter "all" for department or manager I get no matching hits.
What's the most efficient way to retrieve "all" if the users selects all for dept and mgr - thus we'd want to return all records in the table.

Using (Select All) for report parameter
Hi there,
I am Looking for assistance in making the the (Select All) option work for a particular report. The parameter is for product families (which there are about 47 unique results for). The report is also influenced by two other parameters, one being a date type
i.e 'MTD' 'YTD' 'MAT'. When a long date type such as MAT is selected, selecting all families causes the report to get stuck in an endless loop.
I've tried creating my own <Select All'> item in the parameter dataset, then I have the opposite issue, the <Select All> selection works perfectly but when I try and tick two or more product families I recieve the following error:
"An expressions of non-boolean type specified in a context where a condition is expected, near ',' "
Parameter Dataset:
SELECT '<Select All>' AS family_description, '<Select All>' AS family_code
UNION ALL
SELECT DISTINCT family_description, family_code
FROM dim_item AS item
ORDER BY family_description
Snippet From Main Report Dataset:
Where
sales.oe_branch_code IN (@Branch)
And
sales.order_status <> 'X' and sales.line_status <> 'X'
AND (item.family_code IN (@Family) OR @Family = '<Select All>')
Any help is appreciated
Thanks Kindly
SQL NoviceHi KCBA,
I have check the query you have provided the issue cause by the query "
AND (item.family_code
IN (@Family)
OR @Family =
'<Select All>')" you are using which is incorrect.
If the parameter @Family have set as "Allow multiple values" then you don't need to add new label "Select All" for the multiple value parameter already have this section, if the parameter @Family is not the multiple values
parameter and you want to select all the values or just select one, you can modify the query as below which will works fine:
"AND (item.family_code =
(@Family) OR
@Family = '<Select All>'
If you are using the stored procedure and have issue about add multiple value parameter in the where clause, you are take reference to below similar case about how to create an function to make it work:
Passing multi-value parameter in stored procedure ssrs
If I have some misunderstanding, please try to provide more details information about the relationship of all the parameters (Cascading or not ), current result you have got and expect result you want(Snapshot).
Any problem, please feel free to ask.
Regards,
Vicky Liu

Can individuals (students) purchase Adobe CC (one application or all) for just a portion of the year (i.e. a semester - 1 to 4 month span)? My students would like to purchase the program for a month at a time without making a yearly commitment.
Sure they can, just not for a student discount.

Good Morning, I'm all for updates and maintaining, but I'm upset that Googletoolbar is no longer compatible with Mozilla 5 because I had a great amount of sites saved on Google Bookmark and now it is lost. Any suggestions?
Hi userwhat,
Your personal data should have been saved, and you can try to follow these steps to fix your problem.
*First, you should report that to the developer of the add-on the troubles that you are experiencing.
* Then, you can try [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ The Add-on Compatibility Reporter], which allows you to use add-ons that haven't yet been explicitly updated to work with Firefox 5, and lets you report the results of compatibility.
* For add-ons that do not work with The Add-on Compatibility Reporter, you can still downgrade to the previously maintained version, which is Firefox 3.6 that you can download here: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html] -
