Relink to DPX-not working

I receive an EDL, when I try to relink to the DPX sequences it only sees the first frame and gives me a freeze frame for the duration of the clip. I end up having to bring them in manually and place them in to the time line, is this fixed in CS6. When I relink I see no option for an image sequence.

I had the same issue. In the locate menu you can choose to relink with certain criteria. I had to deselect the "file extension" option because I was on a computer that displayed the extension while the computer that created the files didn't display the extensions.

Relink is not working || Illustrator CC

Hi,
I've placed an img file into the project. I anted to make some change on Photoshop. I did it by clicking icon of pencil in menu Links in Illustrator. I made changes and saved it as .psd file. So i needed to relink image on project with the new .psd file i created. Here become trouble. Relink icon is not working. I click it and nothing's happened. I tried to reinstall Illustrator but it doesn't work.
System: MacOS 10.10.2
Working on MacBook Pro. Just one monitor.

I'm having this issue as well. I can do it one time, but then if I want to replace the image with another one it doesnt work. If I use "place" the same thing happens... the dialogue box doenst load and/or open........ sigh....
The only way I can fix it is by shutting down illustrator and then opening it again.
I'm wondering if this is a mac issue...

Premiere Pro CC relinking media not working correctly OSX 10.8.4

Hi Running the latest build of CC on Mac running 10.8.4 having real issues with relinking media using the media browser. I cant seem to get it to search the directory I choose using the browser at all. As soon as I hit search it starts searching the whole system drive from Applications down. I doesnt matter where I point, even another directoty on the system drive it will go back to searching /Applications first. Also typing a path in the path dialog does not seem to work at all just errors. As a note our media drives are assigned using an NFS mount at / not using Volumes not sure if this is cause?
Anybody got any ideas as to why this does not work. Having watched several videos on the net which all seem to be the Windows version it all works as it should. Having to use the old finder way which results in several passes to find everything.
Any help here appreciated as we have to move projects around a lot and this is an essential feature we really need to work better.

Im leaving the below just as it did seem to work until i loaded all my own stuff back in,
so if you can go without all your current prefs, works spaces etc then do the folowing,
if not (like me) then its still broken!
Ive jsut been on to tech support, if you delete the file called
Adobe Photoshop CC Prefs.psp
from prefs folder
it fixes the issue,
so basically a clean install doesnt have the issue, its some kind of hang up with your presets for workspaces or actions of prefs.
here's how the conversation goes,
Bharati: In Photoshop Window, click on Edit > Presets > Preset Manager
Bharati: Then export the presets before resetting preferences.
I did this and saved to desktop, (i re imported them at the end and the 'fix' still sticks so seems to work.
Bharati: please close Photoshop application and follow the below steps.
Bharati: Open Finder.
Bharati: Click on Go > Go to folder.
Bharati: Type : ~/Library in the search field.
Bharati: Hit Go, it will navigate to the Library folder.
Bharati: From there, please open the Preferences folder.
Bharati: Just to confirm, are you using Photoshop CS6?

Bharati: Okay.
Bharati: From the Preferences folder, please open Adobe Photoshop CC settings folder.
Bharati: Then you will see Adobe Photoshop CC Prefs.psp file.
Bharati: Please drag the Adobe Photoshop CC Prefs.psp file to desktop.
re start Pshop,
test the problem,
re-import settings, test again,
relax..

Relinking Articles not working

After starting InDesign I want to open an article using Folio Builder. When I double-click the article I get the error message that the Indesign file for the layout can not be found and that I should use Relink. The InDesign files however are there where they've always been - no change in location since I last opend them.
Now when I try to Relink using Folio Builder I'm immediately presented with the screens you see in the screen shot, which means I can't Relink the article. I have to delete my article and add it again to the folio which kind of defies the purpose of the Relink. Questions are: 1) Why does Folio Builder looses the location information in the first place and 2) why does the Relink not work? I'm using CS6 and with DPS V21 and the article uses alternate layouts.

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL does not work in recent distros. How to avoid?

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.XX does not work in all recent distros.
$ export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.20
$ ls

EBS contains very old cmponents like MWA wich not compiled without this setting. How to avoid errors?

You can unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and EBS 11i (11.5.9 and 11.5.10) will work fine on 2.6.16 kernels (SLES-10 and RH 5.0).
The following instructions should get you going:
1) Setup the environment as you would for running Applications on RH 4 or SLES9
I.E. follow Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2)

If doing a rapid install, the database startup will fail and rapidwiz will prompt to ignore or retry. At this point, edit $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adgetlnxver.sh as shown above and click on retry. As per an internal Bug 4045349, this is an issue with O/S side installation of compat-db rpm.

- Manually install the compat-db rpm

After this chance, you can apply any MRP, ASCP patch and all executables will relink correctly. You can also use adadmin to relink all executables and it completes without error.

Buttons not working in preview mode

i have a really strange issue that i have spent way too long on and need some help.
I have a submenu i created, from a template, and had everything working perfectly. i removed the text layer from the buttons on the right side and now all but 3 links work. I have deleted the "damaged" button and copied a working button nd then relinked and it still doesn't work. I have turned off auto-button routing and re-numbered every button. I was able to get 2 of the buttons to work (no idea how) but now they are not working again.
I am sending a complete screen shot of the damaged button, compared with one right beside it. Please tell me what i am missing?

For that matter, the "return to menu" which is set to a Main button type, isn't working either. that is one of the three. After i had removed the damaged button and copied it from another it worked. Then i simply edited the text of a different button (mind you one that still works) and the "return to menu" quit along with the bottom 2 buttons. I just can't figure it out. I have shut the app down and restarted and nothing seems to be working

InfoPath Form Library not working

I have noticed after rebooting our server that all the infopath form libraries are not working. When I try and add a document I receive an error instead of the InfoPath form opening. I have also noticed that there is a "Relink Documents to this Library"
Option in the Library Settings. I have tried relinking the documents but still no change.
Error Message is received:
The Document Could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly or the template for this document cannot be opened.

All hyperlinks are not working when published

All of the links work on iweb 09; however, when published some of the links are not working. To get an idea of what I mean you can go to the site, thinkwhatif.org and see it. Would someone be able to provide an answer how to solve it? I have unlinked and relinked too and that didn't work (at least the one time I did it).

It's a layout issue. Two of your buttons (who or what) are in the navigation part of your page (nav_layer), which is back layer of your page. In your page, the content (body_layer) overlays the bottom of this layer (nav_layer) where the buttons are.

Show layout (iWeb > View > Show layout) and replace the buttons in the content. As you can see , you 've got also a empty textbox in the content

Not working:HDMI Audio and Enlightenment17

Been searching hard to get my new install up and humming. A couple of problems are hounding me. I would be very grateful for help.
Audio via an HDMI cable out of a little Sony TV I am using as a monitor is not working. Alsamixer shows two SPDIF outputs both unmuted showing 00.

I am using LKDM. Launching Enlightenment 17 worked initially but after I went through the setup steps it sent me back to LKDM. If I login as root and launch Enlightenment it flashes the 'almost there' screen from the end of the setup and then sends me back to LKDM. If I login as a user it just blinks and stays on LKDM. LKDE works flawlessly (except for the fact that my user desktop background will go back to default after I log out and back in, the background for root stays put and does not disappear after logging out and back in)
I absolutely adore the Arch Linux wiki and followed the install instructions for Arch Linux/LKDM/LKDE/Enlightenment closely, I just need to get these last issues solved so I can happily grind Stata all day.

Enlightenment17 does not work again today, but it is not an issue as I think I prefer LXDE anyway.
As per audio, tried installing the official realtek driver for linux from their site, but it seemingly just made things worse. Even after using make uninstall in the directory I installed from I cannot launch alsamixer: "cannot open mixer: No such file or directory". I tried installing OSS, following the wiki's instructions but got the following when I ran "soundon"

Relinking the OSS kernel modules failed
uninstalled OSS and unistalled alsa-lib, alsa-tools and alsa utils. Reinstalled alsa lib, tools and utils and still no luck.
Tried just about every solution that is posted and made my problem worse. Is there a way to 'refresh' the arch specific kernel without having to do a completely new install? I tried pacman -S linux and it worked but did not bring back alsamixer functionality.
Also, anyone have any inkling as to why google-chrome or chromium will not lauch after being installed from the aur and package database?
Otherwise I am getting very good performance from my hardware in the programs I use.

Relink to DPX

Upgraded to CS6....finally!!
I load an EDL and I need to relink to DPX seq.
When I go to link media and navigate to the DPX seq, I see no way to relink to an image sequence, it just relinks to the first frame and holds that frame for the duration of the clip.
This was the behavior in CS5, but I though such a fundmental problem would be fixed in CS6.....am I missing something???? Is Premiere really still unable to relink to file based sequences???

Send the Timeline to Ae via DL, then you can import the .DPX sequence
and Alt+Drag to replace the missing source in the Ae Project Panel.
This will replace all instances, and retain the individual in-points.
(A feature I wish existed in Premiere).
Still seems to want to use the first frame of the DPX sequence as the in point.......the edl has 24 frames head and tail, the DPX files have 48 frames head/tail.
Either way this is not a viable workflow, as my entire timeline becomes unrendered everytime I make and adjustment.

Clip import not working...black frame.

Hello. New install of Premiere Pro CC. Importing clips not working. Thumbnails in media browser are visible until the mouse-over. At that time, the entire screen goes black for 1-2 seconds and then the thumbnail has turned black. Clip is black after import as well. This is true so far for Prores, DPX as well as a simple JPG. Any ideas?

Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?

Motion menu first play not working

No matter what I do the first play motion menu either stops at the end or goes on to play a timeline on two different hardware players and in VLC (last two versions). The only player where it properly loops is PowerDVD 9 (which has its own problems with linked timelines). This is not a hardware problem. This is an Encore problem probably being caused by an inefficient layout of files on the disk. There is a possibility (slight) that this is being caused by removing assets and "saving as" to create two DVD5's from a DVD9. Despite the deletion of assets the "saved as" project files are about the same size as the DVD9 project. I wish Encore ws like Pr in that it could rationalize a project by importing it into a new project. Then again with all the problems people report with motion menus it may not have anything to do with the work flow.
Don't see any easy work around here except building the two projects up from scratch unless someone has a idea of what to try.
I wish this software would work better. It really is the worst of the Production Suite (and I use Pr as my everyday editor)

Sometimes the end action will get locked into an asset if you build the project. Changing the end action of the menu after you have gone through the build process may not work. You might have to delete the menu from the project, re-import it, relink the assets and buttons, and it should work.
You are correct, Encore is not as polished of a program as Photoshop, but at least there are usually workarounds so you can successfully build a disc that works as it should.

Audio Overlays are Not Working?

I am fed up with this software. Now I have audio overlays on multiple pages with no button image. When clicked they play animal noises, two of them in the horizontal version of the article Do Not work. I have tried deleting them saving, saving as new indesign file, re-placing the audio, relinking the file. NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!! It works perfectly fine in the vertical article version but it WILL NOT WORK in the horizontal version. I have exited the software, etc. Pretty hrrible considering the amount of money spent on this software. With no helpful material anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

I finally got it to work and this is possibly how. I made sure there was only one instance of the placed audio file on the page, deleted all instances of overlapping placed audio file duplicates, and made sure the box, "selection area", that the .mp3 was placed in was not overlapping with any of the text boxes on the page, seemed to work.

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

Why self-defined access sequences of free goods can not work?

Hi gurus,
I have maintained access sequences of free goods self-defined.but when i creat the SO it does not work!
when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .
Can anybody tell me why?

Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.
