Reload Page Button Gone?

I love Safari 4. It's great. But there's one thing that's missing and being a web designer, I miss it a lot. From View >> Customize Toolbar - the Reload Page button is nowhere to be seen anymore. I guess I can use command-R to reload the page now but I've gotten so used to hitting the Reload Page button up in the toolbar over the years - a force of habit.
Am I missing something? If not, please Apple - bring this button back in the next update. I know it's not a big issue but sometimes, it's those small little things that you miss the most...
Thanks,
Gerard

Hi
On the right side of the address bar looks like this:
Refresh
Stop
depends on state of the page load.

• Why is the "cancel loading" button not placeable right beside the "reload page" button?

Hi Folks,
I have a quite unusual issue with Nightly build 15.0a1 (x64) on Windows x64.
I can not place the button to cancel loading a webpage right beside the reload page button - everywhere else it is possible to place it, but not at this specific location. If I do so, it becomes visible in the customize wizard but not in normal view. In normal view it is only visible when placed on other locations.

Any particular reason why you are testing the unstable Nightly channel builds (which 15.0a1 just barely started on) ?.
Also note that the Win64 builds are more experimental and not officially supported (no timetable for nay future release to have Win64 yet) so if there is a regression or a server for the daily builds goes down it may take a while fix due to lower priority compared to the officially supported Win32 builds. The Win32 builds should work anyways if not better anyways.

• How do i move the reload page button in firefox OSX to beside the back button where it was before i updated.

how do i move the reload page button in firefox OSX to beside the back button where it was before i updated.
i know there is a classic theme addon for windows but i need a fix for osx...its very frustrating when you update and things like this change and cant be customized back to the way we are used to using the browser. its counter intuitive to have the refresh page button so far away from the back and home buttons.

Is Classic Theme Restorer only for Windows? I thought it worked on Mac, too. Some of the pre-selected interface items like the Application Button may match old Windows versions and you may need to deselect those in its Settings dialog.
To access that dialog, you can use the Add-ons page. Either:
* Command+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions, the on the right side, look for the Options button below Classic Theme Restorer.

• Page Button gone missing! What??

New version of Acrobat is now giving me grief when I have two
open documents showing thumbnail view. I used to be able to drag a
thumbnail from one document to another; now I not only cannot do
that (apparently), I also cannot create a thumbnail view. One of my
documents is stuck on page view with option to open another window
with thumbnails by going to Navigation panels and clicking on
Pages. Not acceptable!
The other document is stuck on bookmarks and will not let me
toggle between Page and Bookmark. The Page button is entirely
missing.
All I want is my buttons!

Nop
Niether works to get me " customize toobar " in Safari 1.0.3 (v85.8.1)
Mind you this is a 1999 PMG4 that now has a few problems since I pulled the plug Sunday after a freeze up.
Any other suggestions where I could find CT ?

• After installing latest update have to click on reload page button on certain web pages

• Certain sites do not load properly. I have to click the Stop loading page button, the click reload page to fully load the site.

Using Firefox 6.0.1 on Windows XP SP3. When I navigate to certain sites (nytimes.com for example), Firefox loads most of the page, but some graphics are missing and the green circle in the tab keeps spinning. Typically I have to click the Stop Loading Page button, then click the Reload Page button to get Firefox to load the remaining items in the website. Seems to get stuck with images.

This type of problem is normally caused by using an incompatible add-on. For details of how to troubleshoot this to find out what one is causing the problem see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

how do I get the following to the left of my search bar: <> one page, X, reload page?

The reload page button is no longer an option in Safari—it's been integrated into the URL bar itself. For the other buttons, you can right-click (Control-click) on the toolbar, select "Customize Toolbar", and drag the buttons on to any part of the bar.

How can I regain my missing bits please.

• How do I show the reload page and stop loading page buttons on the navigation toolbar. v. 10.0.2

I upgraded to v 10.0.2
I can't access the reload page and stop loading page buttons on the navigation toolbar, or add them to the toolbar, although I see them on the toolbar when I select Customize.

Hi,
Please try to '''Reset toolbars and controls:''' and '''Make Changes and Restart''' in the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode Safe Mode] start screen. Please note that you may have to customize the previous personal settings again. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars Customizing]

• Where have the reload and stop loading buttons gone?

The reload button and the stop button do not appear on the toolbar in beta 7. I can reload a tab from the context menu for the tab, not as easy but it can be done. But I can see no way to stop a page load. So how?

Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload and Stop button that appears at the far right of the location bar.
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move them out of the location bar.
* Swap the two buttons or move them to their previous position at the left of the location bar.
* If the order is "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Swap the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

• I am using version 3.6.16 and my "reload current page button" is not working. What should I do?

When using my Firefox version 3.6.16, the "reload current page" button, which is a blue arrow shaped into a counterclockwise circle, does not work. When pressed, literally nothing happens.
I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition version 2002. I am not new to Firefox and this problem has not occurred before on this computer.

You can try:

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

• Safari 5.1 reloads page when using back button or gesture

Safari has the strange behavior of reloading pages "navigated to" using the back button or gesture. Most other browsers I've worked with pull from cache when using the back button. I don't think this behavior is compliant with standards - defacto as they may be.
An example of why this is wrong is the navigation of this forum. I just loaded Lion and need to use the forum for support. When navigating back from a particular post to the list of posts the page will reload. Needless to say several hundred posts have been entered since last looking at the list and I subsequently lose the context of what I read last. The list of posts from cache which I orginally looked at should be returned - not the latest updated one. Let me choose when to refresh a page from the cache.
I downloaded Google Chrome to compare behaviors. Chrome does not reload pages navigated to using the back button - it pulls the pages from cache.
I've looked at the configuration of Safari and see no options to configure this behavior.

Switch from one finger swipe to two finger swipe
ok, since i do not have a trackpad, i used my magic mouse. I changed my swipe between pages from one finger to two and my pages no longer re-loaded. Changing that option back to one finger swipe then set my pages to re-load our setting are slightly differnt, but were looking for the same outcome. Lood for a "Swipe between pages option. Then look for a drop down triangle. now change your swipe left or right with two fingers to one. this should re-load your pages now ;-)

• Why am I only able to post a comment on Facebook only after I click on the "reload current page button"?

This problem just started a couple of days ago. I had no problems before doing these simple tasks before. It is quite annoying to me that I have to continually click on the "reload current page" button each and every time I want to post a comment on Facebook. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

I notice you turned off the setting that diverts new windows to a new tab. Since the new window will open in front of your current tab, it may appear that the current tab was closed, when in fact it is behind the new window. This hard to explain in words.
Do you want to switch the setting?
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Tabs
Check the box for "Open new windows in a new tab instead"
Does that help?

• Where has the recent pages button on the navigation bar gone?

On the V3 navigation bar we had a "go back one page" a "go forwards one page" and a "recent pages" button. The latter has disappeared in V4, which is inconvenient when I want to skip over several pages to get back to the one I wanted. Is there a way to retrieve this facility?

The back/forward buttons should still be there by default, to restore them see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Back+and+forward+or+other+toolbar+items+are+missing
When you have restored them, there is a small change in functionality. The small dropdown marker next to the back/forward buttons has been removed. To get the list of sites, you can either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or hold down the left button until the list appears.

• Where has the drop down button for page history gone from next to the Forward/Back page buttons?

in previous versions of Firefox(and most other Browsers) there is a drop down next to the back/forward page buttons, that shows the last 10 of so pages browsed in the current tab......
has this feature been removed from Firefox 4 and why, or is there a way to enable it?
Currently using Firefox 4 on a Macbook running OSX 10.5.8

You can get the drop down list by either control-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
