Reload software 552 on blackberry curve 8520

I've read how to fix this problem but when I connect my blackberry to computer via usb cable my computer doesn't recognise any connection.
What do I do now?

    It seems that you have not installed the correct blackberry software for your device, or might be select the incorrect carrier for your blackberry handheld. You need to download the correct blackberry software with your service provider and before installing the software, disconnect your BB device from the computer and then install it with proper administrative privilege.
    After installing the software on your computer, make sure to hard boot your blackberry handheld before connecting it to your computer. If the same problem persists, then use JVM Loder to complete wipe your blackberry device memory then connect with the desktop manager and install the software.

    Hi when my screen froze i took out the battery to reset it. When i turned it back on a white frozen screen  states reload software 552. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to resolve this i think it may be a problwem with desktop manager but I am not sure. thanks

    I don't know how to fix error message. I can not get pass the white screen saying Reload software 552. As soon as i take the battery out then put the battery back in it goes to that screen. HOW DO I GET PASSS that screen????????

    Unfortunately a hard reset will not work you will have to reload the software to your device. In order to do that you will need to download and install both the blackberry desktop manager as well as the blackberry device software to your computer.
    KB11320 - Clean reload with desktop software
    KB16251 - Clean Reload without desktop manager software
    These should give you what you need to get rid of this error message
    *Note if you are running VIsta or Win 7 make sure you turn off the User Account Controls as this will help the installation process go a whole lot smoother.

  • Blackberry 9630 Tour - Reload Software: 552 - Mac

    This is my second Tour since I bought my first Blackberry a couple of weeks ago.  I know I'm definitely not in the norm as being a Blackberry user and a Mac user as well, but I need help.  I recently was deleting some frivolous apps I had downloaded from App World, and when I rebooted, I was met with this error message - Reload Software: 552.  I've seen some of the other posts here regarding the same error message, but I'm having a problem loading any software onto my device since Desktop Manager only works on Windows computers.  I can't even download the OS to install because that page requires IE 5.5, and they stopped making IE for Mac 4 years ago.  I don't want to have to keep trading in my Tour, especially if this really is a problem that I could possibly fix myself.
    Does anybody have any suggestions for me to try?  Removing the battery gives the same results, and the folks at the Verizon store I took my first Tour to didn't know what to do, and that's why they had me just swap it out completely.

    FWIW -- Here is the official KB about the 552 error:
    KB18751 Error "App Error 552" is displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone
    Sadly, you are correct that DTM presently only runs on PC's to do what is necessary. But, what is necessary is to reload the OS, which means you need to find a PC to do that on since you can't do it on your MAC. Perhaps you can take the KB to the store and show them and they can do it for you?

  • Blackberry Protect & "Reload Software: 552" Message

    In two years of owning my Tour, I had never received a "Reload Software: 552" message until I installed Blackberry Protect last night and restarted my Tour.  Has anyone else had this problem with Protect and what is the solution?

    My  Curve 8520 is still "locked up" with the display "Reload Software: 552". I tried using KB18751 to no avail.

    The advice in the KB is to reload the OS, so are you saying you have done that and it didn't work, or you did do it and have ended up with the error?

  • My phone states "Reload software 552"

    Hi  - I have had my curve 8520 since April - bought it from Amazon - it suddenly went white during downlaoding an app and has been stuck ever since with Reload Software 552 on display screen - I have followed all of the blackberry 101 tutorials but my PC always recognises my phone so I do not have change to reboot memory in com unknown status as it never shows this. I have searched and searched the blackberry help website to find a way of emailing or a telephone number to no avail and Amazon will not replce until I have spoke to somebody at Blackberry  - HELP !!!! I am starting to lose all faith in Blackberry and seriously thinking of asking for full refund from Amazon - can someone point me in the right direction - Thanks !!!!!

    Don't worry. It'll be well. What you do is you first "wipe" your phone using either BBSAK or JL_cmder. Your phones OS will be completely removed. The connect your phone to your desktop software it'll pop-up a message of failing to connect. Click on update, and select your previous OS version to install. Read through every step to select add in you want. Then the OS will install. Please update on your progress

    hi guys , i have BlackBerry Curve 8520 , and i used data plan for BB for 1 day and then it ends cuz i don't have money in my carrier balance , all this is okay . But which isn't okay is that after it ended , i still can use Hotspot browser on WiFi and browse the internet but  i can't use chatting apps like Whatsapp , Zello and Viber and also BlackBerry appworld doesn't want to open,  it tells me " We cannot connect you to BlackBerry AppWorld . Please ensure that your deviceis connected to the wireless network and try again " . But which drive me crazy that when i reboot the device it works good for sometime and then this happens , Plz guys help me . and an important information , this problem is happening with my brother too he has the same device .     To better assist you can you provide some more details like which version of desktop software you are using ,and which version of windows you have ,and have your tried updating your windows.

  • Blackberry Curve 8520 not working correctly

    My Blackberry Curve 8520 is not working correctly. It has worked on and off for about 2 days now.
    The first thing to stop was the media files - at first it said the SD card was inserted, but couldn't find any files. I've tried repairing the card. Then it is said there was no card inserted. Have taken out and re-entered the card, and formatted it. It now says there is no card inserted again. 
    Also, Whatsapp and BBM are not working. I can open them, and can type a message, and press send, but no message actually sends. 
    Plus the screen keeps freezing, will only work again through a battery pull. 
    I've had the phone for about 3 months.
    Please help!

    I would suggest backing up and doing a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.
    If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

  • BBCurve8520 : "Reload Software 552" URGENT!!! I need help now...

    I 'm using BB curve 8520 now. Recently, I installed a couple of applications through BB App software on my device. I reboot my device after downloading apps but while restarting my device it stuck on "reload software 552" in the white screen. I removed and put it back my battery, same thing goes on. I don't know what to do. so, i tried to find solutions on google. i have tried application loader but it says "Desktop loader is unable to connect the device. you may need to enter the password on the device"  after the status shown 100%. I don't even have a password on my device. I'm so confuse about what is happening to my device. I cant backup my data through BB desktop software because it says my device is disconnected (I'm still connecting my device with USB) no matter how many times i click on Retry, it says unable to connect the device. My Problem is how to connect my bb with my pc (even though i had connected my device with USB, it didnt seem to work) and how to solve the "reload software 552" (Really need help D.  Anyone could help me to solve this problem? Thanks.

    Thats what it says whenever i try to connect my bb.
