Reloading itunes onto my laptop (new comp)...HELP!

So I'm starting university next month and therefore I bought a laptop...but I don't know how this works with itunes. My friend helped me load it onto my new computer, and it came up with a message that recognized my ipod and asked if we wanted to restore it and we clicked no, so my songs are there, but only when it is plugged in (how the ipod name/songs come up)...and nothing is in my library. I don't know how to get the songs in to my library.
My fear was that I'd have to re-import all my songs but i doubt it because I'm sure I'm not the only person who wanted to tranfser their music to a new computer.

On the iTunes task bar, click File and Click Add Folder to Library. Then find where your music folders are and bring them back over into iTunes.

AVCFAssetCreatWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

HT203175 I have just downloaded itunes onto my laptop operating sytem windows XP. When I start up my laptop an error message appears, "The proceedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link lirary SQLite3.dll

Try uninstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

Not sure what you did to "reload your library", but you should copy the entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one using one of the methods outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527. If this is not possible, follow the steps in this article to minimize/prevent data loss: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141.

TS1331 I cannot install/remove iTunes onto my laptop with the same "VBScript" message.

I have a iPod touch and would like to sync to my laptop. The iTune on my laptop has iTunes7 so would like to upgrade iTunes to the latest.
Then I had a problem to install the latest iTunes onto Windows Vista, and haven't been able to complete, inturrupted by a message "iTunes could not be installed because Visual Basic Script (VBScript) is not installed or has been disabled. Make sure VBScript is installed, turn off script blocking in anti-virus and personal firewall software, reregister VBScript, and then install iTunes.".
So I tried uninstallation, by following this instruction but still cannot do it, intrrupted by the same message.
What can I do next?

Check your mac's Serial Number.
Some people have problems with missing serial numbers on their Macs and that's the message you get when this happens.
Click on the Apple at the top left of the screen, open "About this Mac" and click on "More Info". You should see a list with information about your Macbook Air. Check that on the Serial Number field you have your Mac's Serial. If you have "SystemSerial#" written instead then that's your problem.
You can re-enter your serial number if you have a USB CD drive, it's not very straightforward but I can walk you through it if you need it.

Firstly i'm not very computer savvy so hope i can explain this properly!
I had my itunes on my work laptop but have now left that company and have been trying to set up my itunes on another laptop at home. For a start we had problems finding a version of itunes that worked on this laptop but when we finally did, we plugged in my laptop which seemed to bring up all my songs properly into the library list but there was a message asking something about my itunes was registered elsewhere and did i now want that itunes to carry over to the current laptop (well that was what i thought it was asking anyway as it wasn't very clear!).
I clicked yes and suddenly the new blank library overwrote all the old library and so now my itunes is blank and there are no records of the songs in the hardrive.
I am presuming there is nothing i can do about this??

Note that you can only sync with one iTunes library/computer but you can "sync" music and videos from more than one iTunes library/computer.

Error downloading itunes onto my laptop

I am trying to download itunes on my laptop and this error msg keeps coming up: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Miscrosoft. VC80.CRT, type="win32", version="8.0.50727. 6195", publicKey Token ...... HRESULT: 0x8007054F.
It also says there is a problem installing apple mobile device services.
Can anyone tell me how I can get around this?

The app is for iOS devices. If you want to access Find my Phone on your computer you need to do it through iCloud.com.

Copied ITunes from Old to New Comp. but Files NOT showing up in new Library

SO, I used my IPod to copy my ITunes Library from my work computer to my home computer. Now in my Music folder both of the libraries are there- but when I open ITunes it is still all of my old music... none of the new music is showing up. I can manually "Add Folder to Library" but this seems ******** since the folder is already LIVING in my library... HELP.

Had to drag all folders into my ITunes --- not just the ITunes Music Folder.
