Reloading Premiere Elements 9 on a new PC ?
I've tried to reload Premiere Elements 9 with my DVD and my licence N° on a new computer but it doesn't work (message too many activations). I went to the Adobe /support/downloads but it seems that are only available versions N° 10 and 11. If anybody can tell me how to cope with the issue. Thanks.

Adobe allows you to put the same purchased Premiere Elements serial number on no more than 2 of your computers.
Before we get into the new computer, where was this Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 (with the same serial number) installed previously - how many computers?
Just one? If just one and you are getting a message about that serial number being on too many computers, then Adobe via its Adobe Chat is the only one to correct the count.
But....if you already had the serial number on two computers before you went to install the serial number on the new computer, then you have to deactivate the serial number from one of the other two computers before you can install that same serial number on the "3rd" computer. Deactivate and uninstall are not the same thing. We can talk about that later.

Need Help to re-download my Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12 to a new laptop Win-8 64-bit
When I purchased the special deal of Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12, I owned a Windows Vista (32-bit) laptop. When I downloaded my purchase, all went smoothly, no problems w/Photoshop when I used the mouse's wheel-scroll feature, it helped me zoom in to specifically pinpoint areas in pictures t/b fixed, etc.
I now have a NEW laptop ... Windows 8 (64-bit). I re-downloaded my Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12 onto my new one. Options to download the Premiere Elements showed I should use the "bottom" option to download for Win-8/64-bit - did that w/no problem. There were NO OPTIONS showing that the Photoshop Elements 12 had to ALSO be using a specific way to be downloaded? Consequently, I think (?), the problem that I'm having in using the mouse's wheel-scrolling feature may have been affected by using the "normal" format to download???
So here's my question: Because I bought this combined deal, should I have ALSO used the bottom option showing installation for 64-bit Premiere Elements 12??? I WOULD APPRECIATE A TIMELY RESPONSE - NEED HELP ON GETTING MY PHOTOSHOP WORKING PROPERLY, NOW!

[email protected]Oops!!!! I accidentally found my answer within my Photoshop Elements 12 "Preferences" folder! Only one part of my question remains --- what about how to download it as a 64-bit option, or does it matter at all?
Sorry to have panicked about this, but when I started using it, the cursor movements seemed unstable so I thought it was because of downloading for a 32-bit instead of my current OS-64bit! -
Cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro
cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro. keep getting exit code 7 half way through installation and disc ejects. running OS X 10.7.2 (lion). have installed acrobat reader, flash player, tried safe start mode...nothing works...HELP!
Yes ..thats the log in Library/Logs/adobe/installers/
The log is called
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 10.0 12-01-2011.log.gz
it has more entries in that one log but they relate to earlier fails and are identical each time....
there is a photoshop log in there as well (I bought the bundle) but that installed succesfully.
It clearly falls over trying to install Sonicfire pro 5 for premiere elements but WHY is the question
I really dont know what else to suggest...curious that the original poster on this thread had the same error on install as me it seems on a macbook pro
I really would like this to be sorted obviously if possible as soon as possible given I paid for t and cant use it
any other thoughts?

Did you download and purchase the original installation files from Adobe? Did your old computer have a Windows operating system? Does your new computer have a Windows operating system?

What is the computer systems are involved in your question? Windows to Windows, Windows to Mac, Mac to Windows, Mac to Mac?
What is your intent...Premiere Elements on both computers or just the new one.
Major consideration is Adobe allowing the activated purchased serial number for a given version on no more than 2 of your computers. Remember there is a difference between Deactivate and uninstall. You deactivate first and then uninstall if you want to keep the activated purchased serial number per version count to 2.
If you are planning on opening Premiere Elements 12 Windows projects in Windows computer 1 in Premiere Elements 12 Windows on Windows computer 2, then certain factors need to be considered so that you do not end up with serious media disconnect problems on the new computer. Best use Project Archiver Copy Project Option and transfer of the resulting Copied Folder (via USB Flash Drive) to the second computer. The following will give you some ideas about the consideration involved....

If the video on the timeline is longer than 10 minutes the problem will be remarkable. The response times adding a title is getting longer(2-15 seconds).
As the video is now 18 minutes the response time is after each action(resizing of letters or any changes of the text) up to 30 seconds or the program crashes completely.
Project settings are the following:
General HD 1080i; 29,97frames/second; Video:1920v 1080 H, 30 fps
Video: maximale Bittiefe, Dateiformat i-frame only mpeg, Kompressor MPRG i-Frame, Standbilder optimieren
The video is a mixture of full HD videos 1920x 1080 .mov and pictures up to 4608x3456 pixels.
When the program crashes I remarked that the main memory RAM(8Gb) was fully used by the premiere program. Might there be a problem?

If you have discs you just install using the discs. You should have links available in your Adobe account online if you downloaded the files originally. If you cannot find such links you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

The important question is "Is this Premiere Elements 11 Mac or Windows?" If Mac, did you purchase it as the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor from the Mac App Store?
If it is Premiere Elements 11 Windows or Premiere Elements 11 Mac from Adobe, then you can download installation files at this late date from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number during installation.

How do I update Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 on a new computer?
I have previously used both Adobe Photoshop elements 9 and Adobe Premiere elements 9 on my old computer with Windows XP operating system without problems. Now I have a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating system. I have installed both programs but when I try to update them I get a message saying "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily or the internet or firewall setting may be incorrect. Please try again later." I have tried numerous times with the same result. I have tried uninstalling both programs and re-installing but still get the same message. What do I have to do to be able to update these programs so I can get on and use them? The information with the programs says they both work on both Windows XP and 7.

Problems with the same symptoms can (often do) have different causes.
So, let us focus in on your particular situation in order to find your answer.
What computer operating system is involved? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
1. Have you gone through that usual drill in the older thread that you referenced?
a. latest version of QuickTime installed
b. problem looked at with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled
c. video card/graphics card driver up to date
Now...
1. Do you have installed the 8.0.1 Update. If not, please do so using the Adobe online link

2. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrator Privileges and with Run As Administrator applied to the
program's desktop icon?
3. Is your problem confined to opening saved closed project created with Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 on another computer? If yes, then
open a new project and make sure that the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalzyer features are turned off.
4. Have you moved, deleted, or renamed folders/files that were imported into the project(s) after the project's was saved and closed?

I can't transfer Adobe Premiere Elements 9 to my new college laptop. I need help.
Okay, so I bought APE 9 a good 2 years ago for high school and now I am going into Television in College, I have had to buy a newer laptop. My old laptop will be wiped by my father (who, might I add, is very impatient). I need the program to be transferred onto the new laptop....and no, I am not buying the upgrade for another $100. Can anyone help?

Moving Premiere Elements 9 to a new machine
Hi all,
My PC died recently, and suddenly. Thankfully I had a drive backing everything up so I have a complete mirror of my harddrive on an external drive. I have now bought a new PC and have installed PE9 onto it.
I would like to be able to rebuild all my projects etc in my new installation, using the files I have in my back-up drive. Can someone please tell me which files I need to copy over, and where they should go? The drive names will probably be different, but beneath that all files are in the same folder structure as they were on my old (now dead) machine. The dead machine ran Vista, and I'm now on Win7.
Please let me know if there's any further information I need to provide.

DNLYou will need the PREL (Project) files, plus all media files.
If the location has changed, say with the drive letter, then, when you Open your PREL, PrE will ask, "Where is file _____ ?" Just use the Finder to navigate to the new location. PrE will then look in that folder, and relink to all media files, used in that Project, in that folder. If the media files are in sub-folders, you will need to repeat that operation for each sub-folder.

PS - some have had issues, when using mirrored copies of their C:\, with regards to the full installation of the program. If you do not get a working copy of your PrE installed, then I would use the media, and do a Repair Install, to get everything connected and in the Registry.
