REM COGI

Hi.
I have a clarification on REM process.
Like we have COGI lock (ie to stop incorrect good mvt) for discrete items in OPK4 w.r.t Order type PP01, do we have anything of that sort for REM where we can stop posting in MFBF in case of shortage situation. How about MF42N also for COGI lock.

Hi,
This you can control in REM Profile. In REM profile, Control data1 tab, under error correction for backflushing, Execute correction in dialog mode option is there. You need to select as Mandatory.
Mandatory correction in dialog mode.
The system only allows the posting once you have corrected all errors. Therefore, no postprocessing records are created.

Actually you should use
Transaction MF47
Program RMSERI11, for post process record.
For post processing , manually entry like storage location and Batch number(if batch management is enabled) is required , if the post process record is created according to this error.
And hence it is not possible to correct all the records by background job.

Inspection Lot creation when COGI in REM

When there any errors (COGI) during GR-REM (MFBF), it is observed that system is not creating the inspection lot. can anyone help me explaning this behaviour

Hello Raghava,
In the material master for the inspection type if in the Control insLot the setting maintained is an inspection lot for each material document item or an inspection lot for each material document and material or an inspection lot for each material and batch then the lot will be created with the material document .
in other words creation of the material document will be the triggering point for lot creating for this setting . As during the goods movement error the material document is not created hence the lot is not created .

Posting date issue for COGI records.

Hi all,
I have one issue regarding the posting date for the records which are being cleared from COGI.
_In case of MF47 (Postprocessing for REM) following is the behaviour,_
In this if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing, Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 20th in post processing record clearance
_Now in case of COGI (Automatic goods movement : Error handling) behaviour is different,_
In this scenario if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing (COGI), Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 1st in post processing record clearance
I want same should be happened in case of COGI also, is there any note/ correction/option available??

Dear,
There are backlogs from the backflush in repetitive manufacturing. You can display these using Transaction MF47 and/or Transaction COGI. So schedule a job for program RMSERI11 on daily basis or hourly basis so it will clear the postprocessing errors.
But for some of the errors, it needs manual intervention like updating storage location, posting dates due to posting period block etc.

COGI and MF47 line items not matching

Hi Guys,
I have an Issue where the COGI (Goods Movement with Errors) and MF47 (Postprocessing List for Components on Production Line) are not matching.
In COGI I can see the older records of past years where as in MF47 you can only see the the current month data.
Can someone explain to me why this discrepency is there... since mostly we understand that COGI and MF47 should match.

No discrete records will be visible in MF47, they will be only in COGI.
And in case of REM, you can see them both in MF47 and COGI.

COGI and MF47

Dear all,
In COGI and MF47 we can see the materials that are not posted in the transaction.
In COGI we will be able to see the reasons for the posting not happened.
But how to find the reason in MF47 .

If my understanding is correct, I guess the system records the reason for the failed goods movements only in COGI and not in
MF47.
But as per the REM profile settings the post processing records are created or included only if the error correction in dialog mode
is kept optional.So if there any deficit of stock those materials and respective quantity get's accumulated in MF47 and also in COGI
(as per the REM profile if it's included for also create individual post processing record).

Kanban : Changed REM profile regarding generation of postprocessing records

Dear Gurus,
I am trying make a kanban container from empty to full and i am getting the below error message.
Changed REM profile regarding generation of postprocessing records - RM887
I have not change the production version or rem profile. This error is when i scan them to FULL so I have not used "Execute correction in dialog box mode" option in OSP2. NO COGI errors...
Any advice is highly appreciated.

RM887- change rem profile regarding generation of postprocessing records.

While doing MFBF (GR GI) I am getting error "change rem profile regarding generation of postprocessing records" Message No RM887. I am using same REM profile for many other materials for which MFBF is working fine. There are no COGI errors pendings for the materials for which I am gettinh error. But in MF47 there are some pending records which I neither can change nor delete, I am geting same message as in MFBF in MF47. So I have two issues here 1) How to adress error in MFBF. 2) Why records are seen in MF47 and not in COGI?

Please refer the OSS notes 383141,202654, 885798.
In OSP2 Transaction, check whether the REM Profile having the Tick for "Create Cumulated post processing records".
If this is not there, and allowing the entries to go to COGI with Execute Correction in dialogue mode "Optional" will be a problem

Post processing errors in REM

Hi Gurus,
What is significance of post processing in REM?
We have 4 options.
1)     MF45 u2013 Post process Individual
2)     MF46 u2013 Post process Collective
3)     MF47 u2013 Post processing list
4)     COGI u2013 Post processing individual Components
I am able to use COGI and clear errors occurred in back flushing.
But cannot under above first 3 transactions.
System is taking to all materials where correction is needed for eg in MF47. When I select a material and change post processing record, taking me to screen of post processing list of component.
Here I observe that bell , Batch determination and Stock determination are disabled. Where as these are enabled in COGI. What can be the reason behind? Any settings missing in REM?
Pl. help me.

Hi Srini,
To avoid this you can confirm the following things.
1.Ensure that suffecicient stock is available in the backflushing locations of each materail.
2.To prevent the generation of "post-processing list" you can block the BOM from getting backflushed if sufficient stock is not available in specified location for the BOM COMPONENTS. To do this change the "REM profile" to "002"in MRP4 view for the BOM MATERIAL.(if the profile is
not available you can crate it through SPRO).
3. To clear the existing Backlog use transcation MF47 and re-process(be ensure that required stocks is
available for each bom component)

In STD SAP will the postprocessing records created by Repetative Mfg. be visible in transaction COGI???
And will the postprocessing records created by Descrite Mfg. be visible in transaction MF47???

Hi ,
In general for Discreate Mfg the post processing records are checked and cleared in Tcode : COGI.
Whereas for REM Mfg it is : MF47.
You will be able to view the REM postprocessing records in MF47, it is a standard behaviour of SAP , hence I can say there is no bug in your system.

132 movement type errors in MF47 or COGI

I understand we get 101, 102 and 131 errors in cogi.. but if there an error while reversing a backflush in REM (132) and if an error occurs, will that be seen in MF47 or COGI?

I am never face the issue of movement type 132 error in MF47/Cogi..
Whenever we reverse the GR, system just create the planned order and Qty will reduce from the Stock.. It is SAP standard behavior..
if your reverse qty more then stock qty in that case system pop up error.
If you have separately back flush MF60 for GI and GR with respect to MFBF, In that case if you try to reverse the GR qty system not create planned order...
Which error you expecting in MF47 and why ?

COGI error with SLED reason.

i am getting a error in COGI that "Short fall of 194 days against SLED with current item" for GRN agianst masterial. in the material master of header material period indicator'D', minimum rem. shelf life '0', Total Shelf life '0'.

Dear,
Shelf life Expiration Date SLED takes from the material master record in Plant data/stor1 view.
Minimum shelf life a material must have available to be accepted by the system Maintain it and check.
Or change indictor form period indicator'D' to M,
As you have actived shelf life expiration date in the Transaction: OMJ5 or OMJE

MFBF LINK TO COGI

Dear Gurus,
I am facing one problem in REM.10 planned orders are there ,I have done the production booking for 10 planned orders using MFBF.FG GR(131) has happened for 10 orders.So 10 material documents are created.The component is not there in stock.So it went to COGI.In COGI 10 errors are there.Now the component material has come for 10.When I clear cogi,only one material document is created eventhouh I have cleared for 10 error (for 10 planned orders).Now my requirement is to link the one material document (which I have cleared in COGI for 261) to 10 material document(131 FG).Through some light.Please let me know the table link.

Dear Gideon,
I guess you must have executed COGI report with the option for summarized record(in the input screen) and however you can
choose the option for summarized or individual record option after executing to check the individual error quantity and reason
for the same material.
If executing in summarized mode,the system shows the splitup during posting or correcting the error records before posting
and in this case only one material document gets generated and to check the details,goto MB51 and execute for the
movement,plant,posting date,user name combination.
Double click on the document no and it displays the material document in detail view,where in you can check the 10 line
items,quantity against each item,and the respective order(production order).
In your case since it's REM related you may get only the product cost collector no as order no against each line item and you
may not get the planned order details.
Check and revert.

Background COGI Post (Repetitive)

Dear All,
CORUAFWP program can be used to to post COGI records in background. But this program is not for repetitive manufacturing(Order Type = 05). At selection screen we can select '05' as order type, but program ignores 05 when selecting COGI records.
Also the program documentation give the info:
The following parameters are allowed:
u2022     Order category: The following order categories are permitted:
o     10 PP production order
o     20 PS network
o     30 PM maintenance order
o     40 PPPI process order
Is there any other program to be run in background for Repetitive Manufacturing COGIs(individual postprocessing records.
(We have to use individual-COGI, please do not propose reports for collective-MF47.)

I am not sure whether I understood your query, I posted my previous answer assuming that you are not finding REM error records in COGI for REM process.
If you are finding the REM error records in COGI, then you can process in background using program "RMSERI13" (Sorry its MF47 background processing program only), if your error records are created for Individual processing, then though the title of the program may be mentioning collective processing, still posting happens for individual error records and individual material documents are created. You need to ensure that the REM materials are assigned with REM profile which is defined to create Individual processing error records.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.
