REM profile and reduction period

Dear SAP consultant,
In REM profile setting, what the meaning of Reduction period (days) ? If i set to 30 days, can i backflush plan order earlier than 30 days ahead ?
Rejoice

Dear,
Reduction period at OSP2 we define time for planned orders to be reduced.
If you  enter the number of daysas 30 then system is to take into account when reducing the production quantities after 30 days. The period of reduction is calculated by adding the number of days you enter here to the backflush date.
The 30 days will be taken as working days from the factory calendar and these days will be added to the backflushing date (means 30 working days in future).
Hope clear to you.

  • REM profile and backposting

    Hi,
We are using REM profile as GR and GI seperated.
    We did GR on 21.11.2007
We did GI (MF70 in background) on 23.11.2007 but the posting date  is 21.11.2007.
We want the posting date to be 23.11.2007 rather 21.11.2007.
    Please give your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi Reddy,
MF70 is scheduled background and moreover the Posting date field in the variant is empty, so it normally takes GR posting in to account.
But our client requires that GI posting date should be the entry date (i.e 23.11.2007) though it is run in background.
The present scenario if you look at the material document
    Document date  21.11.2007
    posting date      21.11.2007
    Entry date        23.11.2007
Can it be possible with any function module that the Document date, Posting date, Entry date are same (i.e 23.11.2007).
We want as fallows (without putting posting date field in MF70)
    Document date  23.11.2007
    posting date      23.11.2007
    Entry date        23.11.2007
    Thanks,

  • Coverage profile and Stime period profile in MRP

Can anyone explain what is the importance of coverage profile and safety time period profile in MRP2 view and what is their implication in MRP and SOP ?

    Hi,
Coverage profile is used in Material Requirements Planning for calculation of dynamic safety stock. This dynamic safety stock is calculated by using formula: Average daily req*range of coverage.
Average daily req is calculated by considering requirements in specific periods and no of days for the total period length.
You can find all the setting in
MRP--> Planning-> MRP Calculation---->Define range of coverage profile.
    e.g.
You have maintained in coverage profile:
    Period indicator: W(week)
Number of periods to be considered for ADR: 2
Period length: Standard days (5 days)
    Range of coverage: 5 days
    Req for 1st week: 1000
    Req for 2nd week: 1000
then Ave daily req.= (1000+1000)/(5 period length*2 no. of periods)=200
    then Dynamic safety stock= 200 (ADR)*  5(range of coverage)=1000
    Hope you got it.

  • REM profile for finished material and its raw material

    Dear Experts
My question is ,for a repetitive manufacturing scenario
    1) We are maintaining REM profile finished material . Is it necessary to maintain REM profile for its raw materials ?
2)For raw materials do we need to create the seperate REM profile which is having seperate stock determination rule ?
    Regards ,
    Vishwas.K

    Dear Vishwas,
1.REM profile assignment is required only for the materials for which production confirmation will be made through T code MFBF or
    MF42N.
2.For stock determination rule check in control data 2 in the REM profile itself. This setting is linked to the REM profile and further to
the goods movements posting for the raw materials.(check this setting in T code OSP2).

  • REM profile Product Type - Cost Collector Order Type

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a Repetitive Manufacturing Profile, at that time standard Production Type PKMN is automatically arriving from table V_T437S_GES.
and I would like to assign the cost collector order type (self defined) to the REM profile which I am going to create.
where I need to assign the cost collector order type for production type "PKMN" while creating REM profile.
If I copy the exisiting REM profile and I am able to get the cost collector order type  that I am able to see in TABLE : T437S (Repetitive Manufacturing Profile Table). If I create the REM profile newly, I am unable to get the cost collector order type in the table T437S.
So please guide to the self defined cost collector order type for newly creating REM profile.
    Thanks in Advance

    Madhan,
Order type "PKMN", is internally defined by SAP. Forr all cost accounting purpose, we would be using standard order type "RM01" when creating a new product cost collector for material. If required you can create your own order type say "ZM02" using transaction KOT2, please remmember you need to create with order category "05"- Product Cost Collectors.
This new Order type can be used when we are creating product cost collectors for a material.
I really dont find a reason why a new Order type is required to be created. Can you explain why?

  • Bacgflush error: Change REM profile

    Hi Gurus,
I have tried to backflush a part number. I get this error:
'Changed REM Profile regarding generation of postprocessing records'.
From my knowledge we didn't chnge the REM profile and product cost collecter is also avilable.
Please help to resolve the error.
    Thank you.
    Naveen

    Dear Naveen,
Check whether did you make any config changes in the REM profile in OSP2 or else assigned some other REM profile which
    allows reprocessing.
In my understanding if already some reprocessing exists for that material in MF47,and if you try to change the REM profile and
try to backflush, this will give this error.
Check and correct me if i 'm wrong.

  • Profile and Speed Reductions

Hi, sorry for my first post here to be yet another one about slow Infinity speeds but I would really welcome some help and advice. I switched to Infinity from Total Broadband 3 in early November and initial tests showed my line profile for downloads was 37 Mbps with download speeds just under that figure.
After about a month the download profile and speeds dropped to around 32 Mbps which is what the online estimator forecasted when I signed-up. Over the next few weeks the figures gradually dropped further and then appeared to settle at around 26 Mbps. By the end of December the profile and speeds dropped again to between 20 – 23 Mbps and it was at this time that I decided to upgrade to Infinity 2. This was mainly to obtain the unlimited use but I did hope that it might also help return the profile and speeds to their original figures.
I was therefore surprised to find that since Infinity 2 was activated the profile is now only 17 Mbps  with download speeds of around 16 Mbps. Upload speeds have remained fairly constant throughout at between 5 - 6 Mbps
I presume there must something wrong somewhere but after trying all the recommended checks and tests I am unable to find anything. The modem is an ECI V-2FUb/I Rev.B and the homehub is an HH3 A. All speed tests have been carried out using an Ethernet wired connection. I have recycled and reset the hub but as often advised on here I have left the modem permanently on and connected.
This is the speed test result from this morning...
Can anyone maybe offer any suggestions? Many thanks.
    Keith.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Thanks for your replies.
I was always reluctant to try recycling the modem but after reading the posts I switched it off and did as suggested. I also switched off the PC and the homehub. After twenty minutes I booted the PC back up and then powered-up the modem. Finally I powered-up the homehub and after a minute or two everything connected together correctly.
Sadly, I then ran a further speedtest and found the results to be more or less the same as this morning. Thanks for trying to help me though..... I do appreciate it.
I have now contacted the mods and will wait to hear from them.

    Dear Senthilkumaran,
Was there any changes made in the REM profile in OSP2 related to creating individual post processing records or cumulated,if not
was the REM profile changed in the material master?
Can you please check this and reply?

  • RM887- change rem profile regarding generation of postprocessing records.

    Hi,
While doing MFBF (GR GI) I am getting error "change rem profile regarding generation of postprocessing records" Message No RM887. I am using same REM profile for many other materials for which MFBF is working fine. There are no COGI errors pendings for the materials for which I am gettinh error. But in MF47 there are some pending records which I neither can change nor delete, I am geting same message as in MFBF in MF47. So I have two issues here 1) How to adress error in MFBF. 2) Why records are seen in MF47 and not in COGI?
    Thanks
    Suresh.

    Dear,
Please refer the OSS notes 383141,202654, 885798.
In OSP2 Transaction, check whether the REM Profile having the Tick for "Create Cumulated post processing records".
If this is not there, and allowing the entries to go to COGI with Execute Correction in dialogue mode "Optional" will be a problem
    Please try and come back.

  • Changed REM Profile regarding generation of postprocessing records

    Hello Team,
I have tried to backflush a part number. I get this error:
Changed REM Profile regarding generation of postprocessing records
The intrigue here is that this same part number was backflushed last week without error.
    I will appreciate your inputs.
    Thank you in advance.

    Joel,
Check the material master for changes in REM Profile assignment, looks like the REM profile assigned to the material does not allow Post Processing records, so if there are errors during backflush like less stock, no storage location, batch not assigned, system would give error and it would not allow you to post the backflush.
If there are no changes in the material master for REM profile assignment then the assigned REM profile itself must have been changed in configuration in the path mentioned by fellow forum member. Please check and for "Error correction for backflushing" section definations.
    Regards,
    Prasobh

  • What do you mean by Time profile and how to configure it.

    Hi Gurus,
can anybody tel me what do you mean by Time profile and how to configure it.
we are using Capacity requiremtn planning.
    best regards
    prashanth

    Hi Prashanth,
Time profile can be customized using transaction OPD2.
It contains the time horizons for importing the data records as well as for evaluation and planning.
the planning horizon must be smaller or equal to the database read period.
SAPPM_Z002 is a sample time profile
The list profile defines teh presentaion of the output lists, transaction used is OPDH.

  • SNAP profiles and ads for newsprint

I've posted before regarding newsprint and Rob has posted links to profiles for newsprint. I have a SNAP profile I started using recently on all my newsprint exports.
I've noticed, with and without SNAP profile, though I export my PDFs with the same settings, some weeks the ads looks great and then one week the ads run soft or misregistered. Registration is a obviously a press issue but what about color shift. Sometimes my ad will be the only color ad that looks weak on a form when the month before the same PDF (we remit multiple insertions in same publication as one PDF with insertion dates in the slug).
So…I figured I run this by everyone again. My assumption is that I can use my standard export (x1a) which is that I used for years. Last month, I added the snap profile as a setting. I uploaded a link to a QT movie of my settings.
The exported PDF can be found here. I export to 300 dpi. Should it be 200? I've heard pros and cons that 300 dpi is overkill for newsprint. I want to remit a PDF that will print as good as possible even after taking in the variable quality of newsprint especially at the local weekly level. But major publications like the NY Times and Daily News are pretty consistent. Irks me to no end when my ad looks out of register on a page where all the other ads are okay.
I don't get bad ads all the time but enough that I want to check myself and see if there's a better way or if I'm missing a step or not doing something the right way. Thanks.

    g'day
i've had a look at the pdf using a plug-in called enfocus pitstop and also watched the video supplied, and i'd safely say that the pdf is being made correctly. One thing i did note is that once i used acrobat's photo touchup tool to go into photoshop and have a look at the pic, it did look washed out, but i'm assuming that's because the pic is complying with the max ink density requested by the publisher (e.g. the "sunday telegraph" in australia recommends a max ink density of 230%). the moment i went edit/apply profile and applied the SNAP profile, it looked once again like the pic in the pdf.
is the colour inconsistency coming from the same publisher, or different publishers? if so, are their recommended specs the same or do they vary? has their prepress section done something to the pic which you're not aware of?
i'm not so sure its a press issue given in the OP's own words "my ad looks out of register on a page where all the other ads look okay" because on press, colour control isn't as precise as it would be in photoshop.

  • Camera Profiles and Defaults

I have been using CS5 and am about to install CS6.  For my two cameras, I set up camera profiles and defaults by ISO in Camera Raw.  The defaults include initial noise reduction settings for each ISO.  Will these profiles and defaults transfer to CS6?  If so, can I assume the noise reduction settings will be comparable?  Thanks.

IIRC, all of those settings did transfer when I installed Photoshop CS6.  But I installed CS6 first and then removed CS5.  This broke the external editor link in Lightroom, forcing me to install Lightroom 4 again to reestablish the link.
It's likely that you will have to redo your default settings anyway using the PV 2012 adjustments because they are quite different in some respects.  Noise reduction is improved in the new version, so I think you will probably want to reevaluate your default settings.

  • REM profile

    Hi,
In Repetitve Manufacturing , i was doing Assembly backflush.
If i want to do Activity backflush with reporting point, ( I have maintained Milestone control key also in Routing) whether i have to change my REM profile in Material master.?
If i am changing , system shows the error related to costing.
Help me out of this. I would like to understand this process clearly.
    Santhosh.

    Dear Santhosh,
Assuming you have made the configuration changes to the existing REM profile in T.Code OSP2,now modify your routing/rate
routing with operations containing milestone confirmation set control key.
If my understanding is correct then I dont think a new PCC is required for the same material.Instead in KKF6N--->enter the
material, plant, select the production version, now click on change mode--->Shift+F6 and then click on cost calculator for pre.cost
estimate for the product cost collector(Shift+F1) and then save the data, now check in MFBF as I have explained in my earlier
    thread.
    check and revert back,
    Regards
