REM Routing set-up for SFG & FG

Hi all,
I just want to ask a question on what is a more logical set-up in REM, to have 2 separate routings for the FG and its SFG, where there are final backflushes for both, or 1 long routing where both routings of FG and SFG are combined, where the last operation is the final back flush of the FG and there is a reporting point back flush in the middle of the routing, for the SFG?

what i understand a little bit from your query
1) the reason for maintaining two Rate-Routings with two different Group Counters is
if a material can be processed on two lines at a time then we maintain two lines
2) i.e Combination of Bom & Rate-Routing is Production version
3) so per the Lot sizes defined in Production version system will check the demand qty & Pick
the Production version in MRP
4) so if you want to distribute the total qty into two PV's then you can go with MF50 ( Planning table )

    Make sure router is up to date. Try ethernet to rule out any wifi issues. Reboot ATV and router.

    First next-hop will be used unless until that is not unreachable. If first is unreachable, then next one will be used. Since these next-hops are directly connected, router can easily come to know whether they are active or not. In case you want to set some loopback ip as next-hop then you need to use keyword recursive "set ip next-hop recursive"

    I'd like to recover connectivity with CUE.
    I deleted default static routing setting 10.1.10.1 for CUE by my mistake.
    I tried to configure like followings.

    It seems like ip adress setting failed because of overlapping with Vlan101. Also CUE Connectivity Diagnostics says "IP address needs to be configured on interface Integrated-Service-Engine0/0"

    I have a one material for which I m running MRP which have three Components.
    I m using strategy 10 for FG and SFG also.
    When I m running MRP for FG the system is creation planned order for FG, but not for SFG even though no stock available for them.
    I m using lot size EX for all SFG.
    Please Help.

    You should maintain proper MRP related parameters for both FG and SFG.Check all the MMR parameters :
    1.MRP Type -PD for FG/SFG
    2.Procurement Type -E  for FG/SFG
    3.Planning Startegy -10  in FG
    4.BOM/Routing Explosion -Keep it Blank
    5.Indiviaul/Collective Indicator -not applicable as it is MTS  so keep it blank
    6.Validity of BOM /Routing should be corrcet before MRP run in MD02-NETCH , 2,1,3,3,2
    7.What is the Lot Sizing Set up-EX in OMI4-Scheduling Tab -Requirement date =Delievery Date and BOM Validity Date  .
    Ref .Re: MRP not plalned for dependent components
    8.Check in MRP4 -MRP Dept Requirement Parametre should be balnk for plalling the SFG  in MMR of FG -MM02
    I hope this issue may be with BOM explosion as per the validity and lot size -schedueling set up .

  • Product Variances in COPA for SFG

    Hi Freinds,
    I am facing a issue relating to production variances arising from settlement of production order for SFG.
    As SFG is not sold in my case and is being used for producing 2-3 types of Finished goods, therefore client wants that the production variance of SFG should be allocated to the FG's based on Sales Quantity.
    However as all production variances are being settled to COPA, SFG production variannce are also coming to COPA, now I am not able to fine in COPA if there is anything to support this.

    The answer to your question is both YES & NO
    It is possible to allocate SFG variances upon FG using top down distribution in COPA (KE28)... However, for that, you should have "Some thing in Common"
    "Some thing in Common" means  - Your SFG and FG should have a relation in SAP where by you can identify that they co-relate.. In one of our clients, we set up the system in such a way that the related SFG and FG shared the same material group...
    So, while distributing in COPA (Top Down Dist), we specified that Variances Pertaining to Mat Type = HALB & Mat Group= XX should be allocated to Mat Type = FERT and Mat Group = XX...
    Do you such a co-relation established in your system?

    please please give me the steps for SFG and FG material in QM cycle as of raw material.

    Hi,
    In the same way as ROH, create QM view in Material master for SFG & FG. Maintain Quality Info. Record, Master Inspection Characterstics for the same.
    Create appropriate control key in Routing for each operation. Suggest that, use control key, which authorises inspection for the last operation.
    After confirmation from production, Goto QA32, enter the inspection origin either 03/04, give usage decision.
    If you want reject the material,
    Go to QM01, create q3 notification, enter the quantity, maintain the defect details. and save.
    Go to QM02, raise scrap stock, enter cost centre and press F9.
    Generally for FG there is a predespatch Inspection is required, and the result has to be sent along with the product to the customer. For this, pl. create a control key, and maintain in last operation in routing
    for PDI.
    There will not be any rejection in this stage, hence no rejection procedure for the same.

    Check out this,
    1.Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
    2.Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
    3.Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
    4.In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
    Year as 2008,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5)---> enter the per hour Rate
    under Fixed price and set value as 2 for distribution key and plan price indicator as 3.
    5.After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center
    should be assigned.Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
    operations.
    Check with this & revert back if you need any further help.

    We are in process of SAP Implementation, we dont have production planning and product costing in the scope. We want to have sales order wise cost, we are executing unit costing for sales order of FG. However we also want to maintain sales order wise cost for SFG.
    Kindly suggest how we can maintain sales order wise cost for SFG, when SFG is not in the sales order and we dont have production planning in the scope.
    Please share ur suggestion on urgent basis

    Avoid the words "Urgent", else your thread will get locked.. lPlease read and respect the forum rules
    To calculate cost of SFG at the sales order level, you should set up the Material Master of SFG for "Individual requirement" material in the MRP views..
    When you create Sales order for FG, that should also trigger the requirement for SFG and you should be able to calculate the cost of SFG in the Production order (Planned cost)
    The cost of FG will consider the cost of SFG depending on the chars you choose for the SFG
    Note that cost at sales order level makes sense only if the SFG is customizable based on the FG.. If the SFG is a standard product, you should go for standard cost estimate

    My father in law has just purchased an iMac and also a Time Capsule, and has asked me to set it for him as he has no idea how to do it. As a graphic designer I know my way around a Mac pretty well but have no experience in Time Capsules at all.
    Can anyone offer any advice on how to begin. I've read the instruction document and although I'm not stupid I did struggle to take it in!
    The computer is just for home use and there are no other computers requiring backing up. Am I right in thinking the time capsule needs to be connected to his wireless router, and if so, for what reason? Also, if he connects the printer to it too, does this mean he can print without wires?

    What does he want to do with the Time Capsule?
    If it's only for Time Machine backups, and since he already has a wireless router, using a Time Capsule may not be the best way to back up.
    A good external HD connected to his iMac via USB (or, better, FireWire) will be much faster and more reliable (not to mention less expensive). If so, he could probably return the Time Capsule.
    But if he does want to use it for backups, then he must decide if he wants to continue using the existing wireless router.
    He could probably replace the wireless router with the Time Capsule, connect a USB printer to it, and do both backups and printing wirelessly.

    Please click on the tab "Application and gaming" and click on sub
    tab "Port range forwarding"
    1) On the first line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box
    type in 88, in end box type in 88, in protocol keep it both, in ip
    address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box.
    2)   On the second line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box
    type in 3074, in end box type in 3074, in protocol keep it both, in ip
    address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box.
    3) Now save the settings
    4) Once you return to the setup page, click on the tab "Administration"
    and disable the UPNP and save the settings.
    5) Now assign the given ip address on your xbox
       ip address :- 192.168.1.20
       subnet mask :- 255.255.255.0
       default gateway :- 192.168.1.1
    Please assign the dns address on the xbox
      primary dns :- 4.2.2.2
      secondary dns :- 192.168.1.1
    6) Please try to test your xbox live.

  • WRT54G router set up, Wireless network found, but cant connect.

    I've had this router working for over a year but for whatever reason, it stopped working about a week ago. Powering off the router and cable modem usually works but not this time, so I attached a cable from a laptop to the router and tried to run the setupWRT54G setup CD. After step 7, it kept repeating itself in a loop... trying to reconfigure the router and asking for the password. Finally, I exited and the window message box said "Setup is not complete, continue exiting?"  So I accessed the router setup thru IE via the cable:  Http:\\192.168.1.1 and set up the network and gave it a new name, channel 7, etc. My wife can access the network from her work laptop via wireless, so its working for her. As for the other laptop and other desktop in our home, when we search for available networks, we can see out network and click "Connect", ... supply the router password that I issued in the router setup, but it says that it cant connect after a minute of trying. What have I done wrong? One laptop can access the network and two cant. Before last week, all 3 could access the wireless network. FYI - I downloaded and installed ther latest fimware from the LINKSYS website (V8.XX), but no difference. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

    Keep in mind that the router setup password is not the same thing as the encryption key that you use to connect wirelessly to the router.
    If it works normally from your wife's computer, I'd be looking at the settings on your computer first, rather than the router's.
    In network -> TCP/IP -> properties is it set to get an IP address automaticaly?
    If the above aren't the issue, I would do a hardware reset of the router back to factory defaults and enter your settings again from scratch. That's a recommended step after upgrading or reloading the firmware anyway, even if you weren't having this trouble

    Hi, just got the new June 2013 "tower" airport extreme in my ongoing quest to improve non ethernet wifi in my large house (lots of bathrooms and solid block walls, no cable)
    Trying to figure out best set up for the various routers and whether or not to use "Bridge" mode. Have the following
    New tower airport extreme
    2 x older airport extremes
    3 airports
    5 apple tvs each in a different room for streaming media to 5 televisions
    SO planning to factory re-set all my old airports and then install the tower airport in prime receiving position. It will recieve the wifi signal via an ethernet cable from the "radio" on my roof which receives my internet signal. (Actually faster than most wired internet in the small town I live in).
    Tower = main receiver and distributor of internet
    1 x older airport extreme distributing this signal further into the house - SHOULD THIS BE IN BRIDGE MODE?
    2 or more others distributing the signal from the older airport extreme further into the house - SHOULD THEY ALSO BE IN BRIDGE MODE?
    I'm very unclear on the benefit of bridge mode. Currently all my routers operate freely and are just extenders - not in bridge mode. Devices just hook into whatever router is nearest - some of which show Excellent wifi and the furtherest show only "Good wifi. I have one room at the very end of my house where the wifi is pretty weak.
    Any comments on set up or especially the value of Bridge mode and whether all down-stream routers should be bridged or just extended much appreciated. I guess there is a possibility that I place the 2 older extremes in two main extending locations. One for one section of the house and the other to receive the signal direct from the Tower Airport Extreme to distribute the other end of the house section. So should they both be bridged....?

    When an AirPort is properly configured to extend the wireless range of another, it is automatically reconfigured into Bridge mode.
    Each of AirPorts that you will use to extend the new 802.11ac AirPort Extreme would all need to be configured as such. Please check out this Apple Support article on how to extend AirPorts.
    The key here is to understand that the extended network works in a wheel-like fashion with the base station being extended at the hub of the wheel and each of the extending ones on one of the spokes. This should help you plan the best placement of each base station for maximum performance. For more details on optimum placement, please see the following AirPort User Tip.

    Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
