Reminder Alarm Time on Blackberry is incorrect

When users create any appointment in calendar, as soon as the
acceptance is on his BB, the Reminder Alarm on the B pops up.
-BB shows alarmtime = 58218655
-Only users on my secondary PostOffice have this problem.
-Appts are created on the PC (I have not tried creating one on the BB)
-It doesn't matter if its accepted on the PC or on the BB.
-Syncs appears fine for creating, reading, accepting, example:
when you read the appt on the BB, it syncs that action and it
shows up as 'read' (aka unbolded) in GW on the PC.
-Alarm time is only visible after its been accepted
-PC always shows Correct Reminder Alarm time = 5 min
I found a similar issue reported in this link:
Synch with Groupwise Causes alarms to be set at 12... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums
However, the solution there was confusing to me. "install 7.0.3 HP1" But do I install that on my BES server or the PC? It didn't say what version was on the PC originally. Currently I have 7.0.3 HP3 installed on the users PCs and on My Server.
Please Help,
Should I downgrade my GW client back to HP1? On my BES server?
Is there a Post-office Setting I can check?
How can I verify what HP version I have installed on my Server components, such as my Post Offices? I believe I am running 7.0.3 on all components of my GW system.

  • Why is it when you set a calender event in outlook 2010 (in UK) with a reminder alarm for 30mins prior) and have the iphone set to keep the appointment time relative to the local country time that you travelled to, the alarm time is still at uk time ?????

why is it when you set a calendar event in outlook 2010 (whilst i am in UK) with a reminder alarm for 30mins prior to the appointment time) and have the iPhone set to keep the appointment time relative to the new country time that i have travelled to (this works OK), the alarm time is still relative to the UK time and not in sync with the local country time like the main appointment is.
Does anyone know the answer please.

This has to do with the Time Zone Support selected in your phone. If you check in Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars, there is a setting for Time Zone Support at the bottom of the page under Calendars. If that is turned to off, the calendar should support the local time. Because time is set to Automatic (since you say the time is correct on the iPhone), it is reflecting the local time. That information comes from the carrier, not the iPhone itself. You can check, however the iPhone says that if you turn off the Time Zone support, it should reflect in the local time. Do a test, if possible,  and see if that will do what you are asking.

  • Changing/Updating an alarm time issues

In iCal 3.0.2, when an alarm pops up I often want to change it to another time, to re-remind me of something. But if I'm changing it from, say, 2 days in advance to 1 day in advance, I can no longer select the "2" and use the down arrow to change it to a "1". I need to highlight the "2" and type in a "1". The other similar fields still work with the arrow, but not the alarm time in this new version.
    What up?

    kali4nia85,
Thank you for your prompt response and recommendation.  I did as you suggested and everything appears to work fine now.  Hopefully, I won't encounter such an issue going forward.
    Again, thanks for your assistance.

  • 6120c & Outlook - reminder alarm problem

    Quick problem with appoinment alarms.
I have my appointments in Outlook on work PC.
I connect the 6120 to the PC and use Nokia PC Suite to sync it. This works fine and my diary appointments come to my phone calendar nicely.
HOWEVER on the PC I have set many all-day events. When they go to my phone, they come with a reminder alert set, for an all-day event this is 0600. So if I have a reminder such as "Rostered day off" I get woken at 6am to be told about it!
When I go to sync'd appointments on my phone, created in Outlook not ones created on the handset, there is no option anywhere to edit the reminder alarm – but the appointment shows a reminder icon is present!
In outlook, the work day is configured to start at 0800 so I had hoped that that would be the earliest alert time, but no.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Sorry to recover such an old post, but I suffer the very same problem and this is the only information I have found on the forums. I own a Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic with software v10.10, which is synced to Outlook 2010 using Ovi Suite 3.0.0.29. On every friend's birthday, I get woken up at 6am. I searched the forums, specially the Ovi forum, but this is the only reference I found and with no answer.
Is there any update on this problem? Or any configuration to be set in Outlook or the mobile, so alerts get delayed?
    Thanks for any help!

  • E71 (S60) Calendar reminder alarm too long (1 minu...

Using an E71, but suspect this is an S60 issue:
Why does the Calendar reminder alarm last for an entire minute repeat the tone continuously until 60 seconds have elapsed? While other alarms like sms, email only invoke the tone once?
As an ex-Palm Treo user, I was used to being able to set the number of times I can repeat the tone (e.g. 1, 2 ,3 times).
How do I configure the phone such that the calendar reminder only triggers the (e.g. beep) tone, 2 or 3 times? I couldn't find any config on that. Is there any work-around or 3rd party software that can do this?

I also have this. My outlook calendar is the key and I like to have reminders. The fact that the alarm goes of during 1 minute sound is terribly annoying, I'd just like to have a reminder with a SMS-like sound, something I can customize at least (sound + duration + number of times it repeats...).
Anyone has info about this? I am using a E71 too.

  • Ical default alarm time

Every reminder I set in ical pops up with a default time of 11:45 p.m. Every time I have to change it. If it would use a default time of 9 a.m., many times that would work fine for me unless it is a specific meeting. How do I change the default time ical gives me?

The original post by Saluda Judy is almost exactly my question, except my issue -- which I believe is related to if not the same as the ical question -- is the default alarm time for TO DOs. When I create a 'to-do' in imail or directly in ical, and give that to-do a due date, then set an alarm for that to-do, the default time for the alarm is 11:45 pm the day before the due date. I would like to change the default time to something other than 11:45 pm the day before so that when I set an alarm for a new task, the alarm time is 8:00 am the day of, or whatever I decided to set my default to. I'm tired of having to change the alarm time for every to-do for which I create an alarm.
And to reiterate; I don't want to create an alarm time by default for each to-do. Rather, when I choose to create an alarm time for a to-do, I want the alarm time to default to my desired time (8:00 am, for instance).

I have an event in my calendar that was sent by someone that does not work for the company anymore and I am reminded 2 times a week. How do I delete it?

Tap on the event to open the event. Click the 'Edit' button in the event bubble, then press the 'Delete Event' button at the bottom of the Edit pop-up. It's a little different for events that come through Microsoft Exchange, you tap the event to bring up bubble and click the 'Details' button, and then press 'Decline' to remove the event.

  • Time and/or Date incorrect after moving/copying/importing

This has been going on for years and has messed up hundreds, maybe more, of the time/date on my photos in Aperture.
If I select my entire photo library (typically preset to 'Date - Ascending') in Aperture, I can find hundreds of photos out of order. When I look at them in 'Info', the time and sometimes date has changed by several hours. I'm not sure if this is an Aperture thing or Mac thing? Over the years I have moved and/or copied photos from smaller HDDs to larger HDDs to eventually a NAS unit and/or from iPhoto to Aperture.
I have made calls to Tech Support, but they have always made me feel as if I made some mistake on my end or I didn't set the time correctly to begin with (now this could be correct with the P&S I share with my girlfriend, but very rarely with my DSLR). But I also explained that it was random (3 to 5 photos in a set).
So today as I was trying to update some of my photos, I came across some photos (and videos) I took last year with my iPhone (my iPhone always has the correct time and date or 99.9%). I originally uploaded these to an old iPhoto library I still have (all the dates and times are correct). These same photos and videos (55 over a 3 day period) were moved to my Aperture library some time ago and 3 of the 55 have the incorrect time by -7 hours (ie. 3:30 pm is now 8:30 am).
Why does this happen?? I have not set any time changes to these photos. If I did, they would all have the wrong time and not just 3 of them would be off.
Is anyone having this issue and if so, was there a way to get the corrcet time/date from the photo hidden deep down in the EXIF? This is driving me crazy.
Here are some screen shots of the same photo in iPhoto and Aperture.
    iPhoto 5:28:09 PM - Correct
    Aperture 10:28:09 AM - Incorrect -7 hrs
TIA if anyone can help. I just don't have the time to go back and try and change all these photos.
    Narvon

Thanks for the reply, I will try to post the screenshots again (they still show for me, odd?).
Anyway, this is not a zoning problem. This is a moving or copying problem.
The photos I tried to show from the screen shot I took last year at a concert in Coachella (same time zone as my residence in Redondo Beach). The shots were taken using my iPhone which has GPS and constant updating of Time. All the photos and videos show up correctly in Places (GPS) and all the correct times show in iPhoto.
The issue occurs when the photos are moved to Aperture. Randomly the time has changed to -7 hours on a few photos. This same randomness has occured to hundreds of my photos that I have imported into Aperture over the years. As I said before, Tech Support and everyone else has placed the blame on me within my camera settings or improper importing.
Now that I use my iPhone more often, I have proof that the settings are correct and that Aperture or Finder or ?? within Apple has changed the Time randomly. Also, if I had 'Accidently' opened the 'Time Zone' brick when importing (as suggested by Tech Support), all the photos would have the incorrect time and not just a few random ones.
iPhoto original from iPhone - Time 5:28:09 correct
Aperture photo from iPhoto - Time 10:28:09 incorrect -7 Hrs
    Thanks again,
    Narvon

  • Why do my reminder alarms revert to 12:00 am?

My reminders sync with my Outlook tasks.  Initially alarm times are correct, but then they all change to 12:00 am.  Dates stay correct - only the times change.  This seems to only happen with recurring tasks.  Can't figure out why.

    Naughty,
You are posting a Pages question in the Numbers forum.  I am going to ask thie be moved to the Pages forum.  In addition please post a screenshot.  Based on playing with a chart in Pages, I do not think the charts take their input from a table, but rather, you enter the data by clicking the chart (to activate it), then clicking the button "Edit Chart Data":
manually editing the entries in the table:
I would think you want to have a table in Numbers to create the data, then copy and paste the data into the data table for the chart (I wouldn't type it in)

  • Sorting iCal To Do's by both "due date" AND "alarm time"

iCal does a nice job of sorting the to do list by due date (in chronological order). However, when there are multiple to do entries due on the same day, it appears that each to do entry is sorted in a haphazard order — I would like to be able to sort each day's to do's by alarm time.
Is there a way to do this, either within iCal, via Automator or some other means?
    TIA ——

  • Alarm timer

Hi, I developing a tank control application, and I want to have a maximun level alarm, but I only wants to shoot the alarm if the level mantains in maximun by 10 seconds.
Problem 1 - when my application starts to count the time, it forgets the rest of the code, the level never increases.
Problem 2- how can I create a timer that count 10 seconds.
    thanks in advance
    HDLP

First, keep in mind that I may not understand correctly what you are trying to do. There are so many local variables and no comments on what each phase represents. Therefore, I can use some details.
    Anyway, back to your questions:
    - "the wait period is 5 seconds even though "
= if [fase2] is TRUE the case including those 5 sec delays starts. Even though immediately after [fase2] becomes FALSE, you cannot interrupt the delay started when [fase2] was TRUE
    - "that's way you need to get the time in seconds (with little delay between readings)"
= getting the time in seconds (when the first alarm value is encountered) and having a loop that reads the time in seconds (with a small delay (50ms or less) which is insignificant for your tank l
evel monitoring task) and subtracts the start value to see if the "before alarm" time elapsed - this way you don't have a long delay to affect your tank level readings. Of course, you need to terminate this loop in case the level is back to normal values. (this was the idea in my VI )
Even though our VIs are different (yours is more like a process simulation), I tried to modify mine to fit with your task. Find attached modified version.
    Hope this helps
