Reminder every Other day?

My wife just got the 4s last night. She's getting used to Siri but can't figure out how to set reminders for every OTHER day. Is this possible?

The repeat options for Reminders is as shown when selecting Repeat:
None
Every Day
Every Week
Every 2 Weeks
Every Month
Every Year
There is no every other day option.

I am desperate to get access to my itunes to get music on my phone and all of this just makes me want me to sell my iphone since there is no other way to add music to my phone. I have been searching every other day for over a month trying to find a fix in Windows Safari with no joy. I want to resolve, not switch browsers. Please offer up a solution that only refreshes the Top Site thumbnails once a day or as some controlable interval. Started about two versions ago, now on ver 5.1.5. Windows 7 64bit.

I think I solved the wifi connection problem, just by switching off completely the router! sounds trivial, but in this case it worked!!!
the funny behaviour of the trackpad/cursor still persists. any suggestion???

Every other day, my mac won't start up

every other day, my mac won't start up. my keyboard would light up and i hear the system start but nothing is appearing in the screen. i would have to press the start button until the screen actually shows up.. why does it do that?

Have you just tried repairing with Disk Utility?
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

Computer on and off every other day

is it bad? i really don't know. i've been doing this logic 7 hour sessions every other day by myself for 2 years... almost flawlessley. A true gift to have this time!!!It's unbelievable how much you guys have helped me here. I've been rec./ digitally for 10 years now...am I screwing up by powering down (everything)Monitors, Preamps, external drives..mixers. I always do this.

At the rate of which Electrical component are made today, there shouldn't be arm in leaving stuff on,
where as its made from a reputable manufacture, and as a signature or seal of approval.
Power-ing down stuff will result in less consumption of Electricity, and will maintain a better system in-terms of abuse when left unattended.
E.g. if there is a power failure back and forth, which may blow your system, if its not plug into a power-serge, that will protect it from these element of surprise.
Another e.g. if your using a projector, and its left on, when not in use, then the life-span of the bulb, will be shorten because the life on these bulbs is for a certain amount of hours.
So in this case leaving it off will result in a better life-span,
also plasma screen is like that as well, other than that, it should be fine.
If you're not bordered about paying the excess on electric rates,
even though have it on and off, then on again could result in you paying more, than if it was to be left on in the first place.
Stuff such as monitor is always left on even if the computer is off, in most set-up.
Power amps/Mic/pre nice to leave of when not in use they eat that energy, believe.

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.

If your using WEP encryption yes, Apple has discontinued that becaues it's worthless. WEP (and WPA) is cracked so encryption makes no sense.
Get a new Wireless N router, set it up with WPA2 (AES) Personal and two different 20+ randon letter/numbersymbol character passwords
One for Admin access only of the router, keep this on paper off all comptuers in a safe someplace.
One for entering into devices, computers etc for Internet Access Only.
You need the long and random password to defeat brute force attacks by GPU software that the hackers have now.
Also if you give out the password to another, they can't hack the network with the guest access password.
Computers remember the internet password, so anyone with access to your machines or network will have the password.
Since you have another Admin only password, they can't hack in. got it?
You don't need "Invisible" or "MAC Address filtering" that's a waste of time as hackers can sniff a network and causes issues getting on the network.

we have many type of frequency in periodic alerts in oracle alert.
ex. like on demand, On Day of the Month, On Day of the Week, etc..
what is diff b/w: Every N Calendar Days, Every Day and Every Other Day these three.
Some one can briefly explain me.

Every N Calendar Days--If you choose this frequency, enter a value in the Days field. Oracle Alert considers every day a calendar day, and does not skip holidays.
Every Day--Choosing this frequency is the same as choosing Every N Calendar Days and entering a value of 1 in the Days field.
Every Other Day--Choosing this frequency is the same as choosing Every N Calendar Days and entering a value of 2 in the Days field.

WRT150N - Signal drops every other day

Have a WRT150N in our home and every other day the signal cannot be found. I have to unplug it for about 5-10 seconds and the plug it back in. After that, the signal shows back up. I am running Firmware version 1.01.9.
Any thoughts on what needs to be changed to stop this issue?

I suggest calling linksys. I've had similar problems with intermittent and limited connectivity for a few weeks since i purchased the router.
They had me on with a level 2 resource. I can't remember everything we changed in the router settings. We changed a few of the settings that were "mixed" to a standard option. I'm also on channel 11 now. we also changed in the wireless settings the beacon interval?? to 50 and 2 other items i abbreviated -- FT to 2306 ( i think it was 2346) and RTS to 2307 (i think it was 2347).
Sorry I did not capture all of the changes on paper, but it's probably best if you call them. I tried calling on a sunday at first and was on hold for 45 minutes. At about 11pm EST on Monday, i got through in less than 5 minutes.
All in all the 30 minute phone call was well worth the investment as i tried for a few hours resolving this on my own.

Wpdomain.db file gets corrupted every other day

Our secondary wpdomain.db database gets corrupted every other day. Right now we have up to five people connecting to it at one time using multiple instances of ConsoleOne. How many users can we have connect to it at one time?

I guess I need to know what OS you are hosting the databases on. OES? Plain SLES? Sort of depends on what is serving up what and who is consuming it. But generally, you MUST disable opportunistic locking / client side caching on the CIFS connections used to access the domain databases. That is, no doubt, what is killing them.
Two approaches:
1. Fix the problem on the CIFS / SAMBA server side. Then client settings don't matter. Our domains are on pure SLES, not OES, and domains are shared via SAMBA. Clients incluse other SLES boxes, Windows clients, etc. So we nipped it in the bud by preventing it on the SAMBA server. If the server is using plain old SAMBA, the corresponding share section in /etc/samba/smb.conf should be set up similar to

You can configure some of these setting globally, but I like to specify them explicitly - then you know what is actually going to happen. And you don't mess with other shares exposed by the server where client side caching / op locks "might" be OK.
2. You can also solve the problem on the CIFS client side ( in your case, the remote servers mounting the CIFS share ) by disabling oplocks:
cat /proc/fs/cifs/OplockEnabled
It will report "1" meaning its IS enabled. That's bad! You can disable Op Locks easily:
echo 0 > /proc/fs/cifs/OplockEnabled
Generally, under high load, the CIFS client will fall apart with this enabled. The number of pending locks piles up and all the client does is service the locks. We have web server fronting a common CIFS share, you NEED to do the above to the systems mounting CIFS shares.
Doing either or both ( on all systems hosting / consuming the shares ). I don't trust people to set up their clients correctly, so I opted for #1. The next day the problems stopped, order was restored to the Universe.
( This is analogous to, on Windows clients talking to Netware, File Commit = ON, File Caching = OFF, Level 2 OpLocks = OFF, etc. )

Why is there a Flash update every other day?

I'm getting a little paranoid that some of these updates aren't actually from Adobe. How on earth can Flash need to be updated so often? I thought Adobe was giving up on it (I wish).

A work around for the repeat patterns that the iPad can't create, make them in your computer's calendar program and then sync them to the iPad. It will honor repeats from other places, even if it can't create the pattern itself.
