Reminders app slow to start up.

Question

Why does a simple app like Reminders take so long (3+ seconds) to start on the latest and greatest Macbook Pro? (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013, 2.3 GHz i7)
It literally takes less time to load Adobe Photoshop CC. (2.4 seconds)
I'm aware this is nowhere near the biggest problem ever but I work from home and use reminders for ALOT of stuff. Whenever I have completed a task and reminders is not running, I click the notification and expect to be able to (near) immediately see reminders and mark my task as done. I work fast, and when other things are available almost immediately after I click them, it's a minor annoyance when I have to pause for what feels like an age just to tick a box.

Nope. Localisation files are loaded only as needed. Internationalized applications contain separate resources for each localization they support in language-specific project directories (the .lproj folders) in the application's bundle. Those folders contain of all the nib files, text, images, and sound files appropriate for that language, but unless a user chooses to work in that language, they are not loaded.
