Reminders does not appear in my iCloud Preferences in Mountain Lion

The only thing cut off in this screenshot is Mail.
Where are Reminders? how do I get them back?

So the "reminders" in the Calendar app includes the seperate app named "Reminders" with the notepad checklist icon? If so - what setting or something am I missing to sync them? as you can see, that box is checked, but Reminders are not syncing from this computer. The Reminders app appears as a seperate icon in my iCloud preferences on my MacMini and iPhone and syncs without problem. it is only my Macbook Pro that combines Reminders & iCal but does not sync Reminders. any idea whats going on?

  • Have a 10.6.8 mac and the icloud icon does not appear on the system preferences

    Hello,
I have a 10.6.8 mac and the icloud icon does not appear on the system preference, even if I'ved upgraded the software.
    Renee

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

photo stream does not appear on my icloud, where is it?

You won't see it on icloud.com.  It is only accessible by using an iOS device or computer that is signed intoyour iCloud account with photo stream enabled.

  • Bootcamp disk icon does not appear in the System Preferences/Startup Disk. Any help ideas ?

Everything works fine but the Bootcamp disk icon does not appear in the System Preferences/Startup Disk.
When I am in Win7 I am easily rebooting my iMac by right-clicking on the Bootcamp icon.
When I am in Mac OS I wish to do same but that Bootcamp icon does not appear. Everytime I am restarting my iMac and pressing on the Option key to select the Windows disk.
Does anyone have an idea how to adjust to bring the Bootcamp icon to the Startup Disk panel ?

Use BootChamp instead; perhaps you have an NTFS 3rd party driver installed and has its own control panel.

  • The option "Build-in Output" does not appear under my Sound preferences

The sound stopped coming out of my built in speakers.  The sound does come through headphonse.  The option "Built-in Output" does not appear under my Sound preferences.  How can I restore the Built-in Output option under my Sound preferences.  Currently the only option that displays is "Digital Out".

Please stop sticking things in your audio ports. you can very easily damage the switch. There is a simple procedure that usually will switch your mac back to internal speakers.
    1. open the Audio MID setup app in your utilities folder.
    2. Select 'built in output'
    3. try the 'source' pull down menu. probably it will read 'digital out' with no other options.
    4. control click the 'built in output' option on the left and select 'configure speakers' from the pull down menu.
    5. a drop down window will open. Make sure 'Stereo' is selected and click 'done'
    6. The Source pulldown menu should now read 'internal speakers'
    7. Close the Audio MIDI setup app and get back to work

  • Using iPad Pages,, I inserted emoji characters in a document and the characters appeared in the document when it synced to my iPhone, but they did not appear when synced to my iMac (Mountain Lion). Any ideas?

Using iPad Pages, I inserted emoji characters successfully in a document. They appeared when the document was synced to my iPhone but the characters did not appear when synced to my iMac (Mountain Lion). Only blank spaces where they should have been Why?

You'd need to have an Emoji font installed on your Computer. Do you?

  • Trackpad preferences does not appear in the system preferences

    Hi.
My Macbook Pro has Snow Leopard version os x 10.6.8.
For any reason that I do not know, I am unable to use all the functionalities of the trackpad like rotate a picture etc.
Besides that, if I go to the System Preferences Folder, and select the Trackpad preferences pane, I find a clear window... all the options about trackpad functionalities disappeared and I do not know how to restore it.
Besides that, now my trackpad does not appear to have all functionalities operational. For example, in order to open a file, now I have to press twice the trackpad. Before, it only was necessary to tap twice the trackpad, without pressure on it.
Does anyone knows how to solve this?
    Thank you in advance,
    PA Sousa

    Hi yong88
Try to reset PRAM and PMU.
Try to boot from installer disk and press D for hardware diagnostic.
    Try to repair permission.
Go to system preference > International > Input menu > check only UK.
Install a fresh OS X might resolve the problem (back up your file first).
Check the connection from logic board to the keyboard and re-attached that and see how it works.
    Good Luck

  • Calendar tab does not appear in iTunes iPod preferences

The calendar and contacts tab does not appear when I go to preferences in iTunes with my iPod is attached. I am running 10.3.9. I have rebuilt permissions and trashed prefs. Are the tabs a 10.4 feature? They seemed to be a part of iTunes 5 so I suspect they should be there. I have read about using iSync on the posts but would prefer it happen automatically when I plug my new iPod in. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Quote from the page below "If you are using Mac OS 10.3.9 or earlier, you cannot use iTunes to sync contacts and calendars to iPod"
You can check out the page for details: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301374

  • Cannot open any Pages documents made prior to upgrading to Yosemie. Pages does not appear in the iCloud list in system preferences.

Upgraded to Yosemite. Upgraded Pages to latest version. Uninstalled older versions of pages (made with iWork '09). Now I cannot open any Pages documents made prior to upgrading. I keep getting the same redundant message: "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document. You can download the latest version of Pages from the Mac App Store." Not sure if this is relevant, but Pages does not show up in the iCloud list in systems preferences.

Ok, I found pages on the iCloud drive. But the behavior of Pages is still the same, problem unchanged.

  • I have iCloud on my MacBook Air.  Trying to set up icloud on another device- MacBook Pro.  I have OSx version 10.5.8 on the Pro.   The iCloud does not appear on my system preference/ Internet

How do I get the iCloud icon to appear in my System Preference/Internet & Wireless section to turn it on.  Again I only have Mobile Me icon.  When I check for updating of software it says there are no updates.  I currently have OS X Version 10.5.8 on the MacBook Pro that needs to have iCloud.

iCloud requires OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher.  If you’re running 10.6.8 or earlier you will need to upgrade to either Lion higher in order to set up iCloud on your Mac.  First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
    Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Mountain Lion requirements are shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444.
Mavericks requirements are shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
If you can run Mavericks, you can purchase an upgrade from the Mac App Store.  If you can only run Lion or Mountain Lion, contact the online store in your country and purchase a redemption code to download it from the Mac App Store.
After upgrading, you will find iCloud in System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, and can set it up as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.
Before upgrading, you may want to check the compatibility of your existing programs by checking here: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table.

  • Line In option does not appear when recording Edit Preferences Audio Hardware Default Input

    Dear friends
Please can you help me with the subject matter above.
I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, no conflicts in device manager, latest Realtek HD and NVIDIA drivers, Audio working fine in playback, all video working fine in playback. Prior to the clean rebuild of machine the option existed and worked well.
    Realtek mic option works fine.
    Thanks
    Kappa

    That'll be a Windows issue.
Try going to the Windows audio control panel and select the "Recording Devices" tab.
If Line in shows as an option, click on it and set it as the default input.
If it doesn't show, RIGHT click on the white area of the Recording Devices menu (i.e. away from any existing options) and make sure the "Display Disabled Devices" and "Display Unused Devices" options both have ticks beside them.  Once you've done this, if the Line In has appeared again set it as default.
If Line in doesn't appear on your Windows Audio panel, then I fear you'll have to contact Realtek and see what's going on.  I said "I fear" because, in my experience, they don't care a jot about customer service.
The above assumes you actually have a specific Line In socket.  If it's one of the sort where there's a single socket that switches between Mic and Line depending what's plugged in, you may need to go straight to Realtek.
In the longer term you should really consider an external USB audio interface.  Even the cheapest will knock the quality of the Realtek into a cocked hat and also allow you to use ASIO drivers which will cut latency.
