Reminders issue

I have installed Mountain Lion. My reminders will not transfer to my new IPad but I can add a reminder from iPad and it will show up on my MacBook Pro. Anyone ?

In the Reminders Menu Bar, there is an "Accounts" selection where you might think Preferences might be.  Selecting that takes you to the System Preference for Mail, contacts and calendars where you will find all the accounts that apply to those apps.
If you are in iCloud the iCloud account should be there.  If not, you can add it.
I don't know if this is an account issue but you can check it out.

  • ICloud Reminders issue 2007 Outlook

Hi everyone. I am attempting to synchronise our work calendars and reminders throughout our workplace and so far the apple icloud has been the best solution, especially for calendars. However we have an issue when creating reminders (outlook calls these tasks) within outlook and having those reminders (outlook:tasks) updated from outlook to icloud on a certain shared reminders list.
    Background on devices used,
Dad has a windows 7 Laptop with an iCloud account and Outlook 2007,
I have an imac with mavericks and the standard reminders program bundled.
    Here is the issue:
As default, everyone has a certain reminders list. Mine syncs with all my icloud devices.
I also made a second list, that is shared with other icloud users.
My dad is one of these users and has 'accepted' the invitation.
He has icloud control panel on the PC, and we have the reminders (tasks) working in excel.
I can make a reminder on my mac (MWDB Reminders is what the list is called), and it will transfer to his shared reminders on iCloud (MWDB Remidners)
The icloud then sends this reminder from the list to his PC in outlook. It works as intended.
He can make a reminder in the web browser portal in MWDB reminders and it will update onto my mac and also his PC in outlook.
He can make a remidner (task) in outlook and it will NOT upload to the icloud web interface, nor my PC.
I then decided to test it on his other (default) list. This list is a personal list that everyone gets with their icloud account and is not shared by default.
I can make a reminder in his web portal list and it will udpate Outlook
I can make a reminder in his outlook and it will update in the web browser.
Therefore this is the issue: For some reason, icloud will accept reminders (tasks) updloaded from outlook into icloud on his own personal list, but in the shared list (MWDB Reminders) it will not update to icloud. He can receive and view reminders (tasks) on this list but not make new ones, nor tick them off.
So my conclusion is this: He must not have permission to add, update or delete reminders from outlook in this shared list. It works on the icloud portal, but not outlook. Why is this so? How come he can add, delete and update reminders from his own personal list from outlook but not this shared list (of which I am the owner)?
Any help woud be appreciated guys! Thanks!

  • Calendar reminders issue

I jave had a new Torch for a week now and there is a problem with the calendar. No matter what settings I use on the phone I get no reminders at all from the calendar, either audible or visual pop up. All the other tones and alarms work with no problems, the problem is only with the calendar.

  • Has Apple acknowledged that there's an issue with location based reminders?

After searching several posts, I haven't found where Apple is working on a solution for the location reminders issue.  There are several recommendations that people make...but most don't seem to work.  What say you Apple??
Please reply with a link if I missed something during my search that answers my question. Thx

It was a bug. In iOS 7.1 Apple fixed the location based Reminders. Users no longer need to have the Reminders app running in the background for location based reminders to fire off.

    Have anyone an idea
(Sry i have a bad english)

    Hi Patrick,
I’d like to double confirm the following information:
1.Did you use the problematic user account in OWA to test reminder? And is there any error?
2.Did you create new appointments in calendar folder of the newly created mailbox account? And did you encounter the same reminder issue in the newly account’s Outlook
(use the same Outlook client computer that has encounter the issue)?
3.Change a newly installed Outlook client, it is better to be Outlook 2007 with fully updated, and then try again with the newly created mailbox account, does the
    issue reoccur?
Besides, please select a user who has encounter this issue, and then export his/her mailbox to a PST file for backup purpose.
Once the calendar folder is backed up, please follow these steps to reset the reminder folder.
Make sure Outlook is in online mode."Use Cached Exchange Mode" box is unchecked.
    Exit from Outlook.
Please click on this link to download the MFCMAPI tool
    http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com/
After installing MFCMAPI you will get the following window

  • Expeditors in PO u2013 need to understand if we can stop after 1st 3 expeditors

    Dear Experts,
    For a PO, I have 1st, 2nd, 3rd   Expeditors as 1, 3 and 5 days respectively.
Delivery date as per PO is 23.03.2011.  So, as expected, 1st, 2nd, 3rd expeditors were sent on 24/25/27th March Respectively.  So far its ok.
Since, the GR is done on 17.04.2011, a total of  7 expediters have been sent (1 each for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and then afterwards, 1 expeditor per every 5 days).
My question is, is this the standard behavior of SAP to send expeditor after every 5 days once the first 3 expeditors have been sent until GR is done?
Where exactly is this configured in SAP?
Suppose if I want to send no reminders after 1st 3 reminders, can we achieve this?
Please suggest me your valuable inputs
    Regards,
    Shetty

    Hi,
At PO Item Level >>Delivery Tab >> Expeditors Days are mentioned for sending 1st three Expediators ,Below this field "No. Exped " Consist of the Number of Expeditors to be send for the particular line Item.
Check these field for the value. The field Value should be blank , if only 3 Expeditors are to be sent.
    "Number of Reminders/Expediters :
Number of reminders or urging messages issued to a vendor with respect to a certain item.
In the SAP System, a distinction is sometimes made between reminders (issued prior to the due date) and urging messages (issued after the due date and also referred to as "expediters" or "follow-up" letters).
    Use :
This field shows the total number of reminders and urging messages (expediters) for all schedule lines relating to this item.
    Regards
    Mascot.

  • "iMacs" in finder and shared

I have installed yosemite and since then I have a couple of issues. In finder i have multiple imacs under shared.
And my computer changes number all the time
    <edited by host>

I started getting multiple Shared Connections after updating to Yosemite. I found at least five discussions here in the Apple Support Community about this problem.  After sifting through the various solutions this is what worked for me.
I unplugged Apple TV and my Time Capsule. After plugging them back in the multiple shared instances in of my MacBook Pro in Finder disappeared. I'm not sure if the Apple TV had anything to do with it.
I'm pretty sure the Time Capsule was holding on to a pre-Yosemite "instance". After using the MacBook on and off the Time Capsule's WiFi network for a couple of weeks I was up to MacBook(19). I started to become concerned when my Reminders on the MacBook stopped syncing with my iPhone. All the IOS devices that shared those Reminders synced with each other just fine.
I suppose the Reminders issues could be unrelated, but it did seem that completely restarting my Time Capsule's WiFi (unplugging and plugging back in) cured both problems.

  • Are the bugged badges for the iOS Reminders app a known issue?

I've seen quite a few posts covering many years on this issue, and it seems to have gone ignored by Apple.
The issue is badges not showing up for the Reminders app, even though they are turned on in the Notifications Center. It does not seem to be that they are simply broken, because if you change the priority of a reminder, or physically go in and "Snooze" a reminder, then it seems to force the app to pull up a badge.
I'm not totally sure what I expect out of another discussion, since most of the ones I have found ended with "yep, it's broken", but if you happen to know of a fix, or have heard that maybe Apple is aware of it... I'd love to hear it!
    Thanks!

Meg, Apple is obviously reading these boards to some degree. Regardless, it's sad that this has been an issue for this many years.

  • Issue with Reminders not working when setting it to arrive or leave a location in iOS7.

    Hi all,
Tried everything: Called support and reset All setting.  Made sure all "location settings" are set.  Restored via iTunes as a new phone, checked all setting again, set a reminder to remind me to get gas when I leave my home, and it never reminded me.  Also, doesn't remind when I arrive at a location.  I have tried this with my wifes phone (iPhone 5) and my daughters (iPhone 4) all running iOS7 and it doesn't work.  I never had this issue with iOS6. All other locations services like GPS, maps, & weather working fine.  I strongly believe it's a iOS7 bug. Has anyone else experianced this issue?

In case you haven't seen this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5329723
Jump to page 5. There is a solution by ben812 that initially worked for me, but after restarting my phone I was back to square one.
I visited the local Genius Bar, and they claim they have not heard of this problem. Whether that is true or not, they know now. One of the employees confirmed that WiFi would need to be on, as the location service checks it first (before using GPS). Seems like a bug, but for now having WiFi on and leaving Reminders running in the background seems to solve the issue.
I hope Cupertino addresses this in an upcoming iOS release.

  • Reminders Sort Order Issue

If this has already been posted, I apologize.  I am having an issue with the Reminders app on my iMac.  I have the sort by listed as manual but when I manually try to sort the reminders it moves them back into some crazy order and not how I have them placed. Any ideas what I can do?
    Thanks

Can you evaluate the DRM export results with the Hiearchy structure, also make sure the Default Hierarchy Sort on the Hierarchy has a value assigned to it, whether it is core or custom based on node ID, DRM should export nodes as they appear in DRM.

  • IOS 5 reminders due date issues

    Hi
I'm having some trouble with the Reminders app in iOS 5. In iCal on my mac with OS X Lion I set some reminders with a due date. All these reminders sync well, but there are 2 issues in the app itself:
    1. I can't sort the list of reminders by due date.. is this even possible?
    2. When i add a reminder on my ipod touch, there's no option to add a due date.. what's going on here?
    thanks in advance!
    Tim

I, too, am having frustrating issues with my reminders.  It's a clumsy application.  I am a person that lives by my "to do" list.  I don't necessarily need a "reminder" but I do need a To Do list & I have to be able to repeatedly change the due date on my tasks.  For example "Take vitamins" (daily).  Or sometimes I just don't get to something that day and move it to the next day.  On my MacBook in iCal I have no trouble setting them up and moving them around.  But creating them on the iPhone is annoying - you can't get to "due date" easily & also there is something really strange where the iCal reminders doesn't require to pick a "time" it's due, just a day it's due & then the reminder . . . but on the phone it makes you pick a time.  Gargh!  I had a To Do list task that I was pretty happy with.  But I switched over to this so that I could integrate with Siri.  I hope they fix this soon so that it is more user friendly.

  • Reminders and Due Date issues

I've been using Reminders for IOS 5 and Lion, and have been having trouble changing the due dates in Lion (and in iOS, for that matter).  I open the reminders in iCal, and edit the due date, but when I close/save the reminder, the due date remains the same.  Has anyone else found this issue, and does anyone have a suggestion of how to remedy (if possible)?
    Thank you.

I am also experiencing this. In ICloud I can edit the due date of a reminder. As you say in ICal the date changes back to the original due date that was entered in IOS 5. Can't figure what the difference is or why it happens. Hoping for some help too.

  • HT4970 Issues with Reminders

Hi,  I have been using a 3rd party app for task list management, but would like to use the reminders app, however it is simply not fit for a heavier duty task list.
Here are some issues I have. Any ideas?
    1. Reminders have due dates when created in ical or through Siri on the phone, but when manually imported from the phone in the reminders app, I can only select a reminder time.  (when created in ical/siri there is a separate due date and reminder option.)
    2. I can either sort reminders by date ("today") or by list that I have created.  But within a list that I created, I do not have the option of seeing those reminders by due date.  Instead the order seems arbitrary with something due six months from now appearing next to something a month overdue.    In ical, I can organize them by date in the various lists.  This function is a must in the reminders app.
    3. In the third party TODO app, I can select a due date either by the wheel option (scrolling through months/days/times)  or by a calendar (selecting a date from a calendar)  I prefer the second option, but that is not available in reminders.
    4. There is no capability for a project with multiple tasks.
Any ideas to get around this?

Perhaps try quitting iCal, then deleting some preferences in your User Library: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist and com.apple.iCal.AlarmScheduler.plist

  • Ical reminders: two issues

    Hello,
I have three Macs (lucky me) all connected via iSync. When I am working, I don't generally like to be reminded about birthdays as I am busy. However, because I need reminders on my other computers, I have to respond to the event reminder, when I'd rather just dismiss it for good on that particular computer.
I guess there is no way to have reminders on some computers (but not all), or to dismiss that reminder once but not affecting its status on the other computers?
Similarly, if I eventually dismiss a recurring event reminder, that has changed the time the reminder appears for the next occurrence of the event. If I set an event to remind me 10 days before, but I dismiss the reminder 2 days, 3 hours, and 42 minutes before the event, is it possible to have iCal automatically remind me 10 days before the next occurrence?
I think not, but it would be nice...
    Thanks for your help,
    M.

From this post it appears that those of us with a 3GS don't get the feature, funny as I watched the keynote on IOS5 and didnt recall any mention of it being for 4 and 4S phones only...
