Reminders not syncing up.

I use icloud.com to sync my reminders.  My ipad and icloud.com reminders do not appear to be syncing.  They are both using the same icloud account and used to sync.  I have changed nothing, but in the last week they have stopped syncing with one another alltogether.  How can I get them to by synced all the time?

This happened to me, though badly with all my Pages and Numbers. I had to reset my settings in both my iPad and iPhone until things started to push to the server again. Once I did that, things seemed to help. However now, there are many things, namely iCal and Reminders, that don't ever communicate with icloud.com.. I may try another Settings Reset. It is just a pain to go back through and restore all your settings after months of fine tuning...

  • Completed Reminders not syncing to yahoo

I am using an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.
I have Reminders turned on under my Yahoo account.
I can create Reminders in Yahoo and they will appear on the iPhone

When I mark a Reminder completed on the iPhone, it will not be marked completed in Yahoo

It seems that Reminders is a one way sync only on create and does not support change or delete.
Other data such as contacts and calendars seems to work fine and supports a two way sync.  A Google search for this issue has not turned up any results, although others have complained about contacts not syncing correctly.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Has anyone been able to solve this problem?

That was the first thing I checked, but it wasn't the problem. A few days later the same thing happened to her daughter's 3gs. I don't know if the problem is on Yahoo's end or on apple's. For the time being, I turned off yahoo contact syncing and told her to put her contacts in manually.

  • Reminders not syncing and calendar running slow

    Hi,
since I upgraded my Mac software to 10.7.4 and started using iCloud to sync my calendar and reminders I find that they both run extremely slowly on my iPad and iPhone.  I also find that at times entries do not sync and are different on all three devices.    Other times they do sync so I don't think it's a problem with my settings.
I have tried turning off iCloud and turning it back on, and changing the settings within iCloud from push to fetch but they are both still running slowly.  Reminders is particularly bad and often hangs for several minutes, particularly if I want to add or edit more than one reminder.
Can anyone advise how to resolve this?
I have an iPad 2 running 5.1.1, an iPhone 3GS running 5.1.1 and a MacBook Pro running 10.7.4
    thanks

  • HT4623 reminders not syncing with other apple devices

I am having a problem with reminders in general. I have reminders set on my Iphone, Ipad, and mac but when I add a new one or delete one it does not sync to all of the products. How do i fix this? If I want to update them I have to do manually and make them all the same.

    Hello there, Ptrt768.
There is a fair amount of good information in the following Knowledge Base article to help in troubleshooting Reminders:
iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Reminders and Tasks
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4000
The article reviews steps for each device type, wether it's on a Mac or an iPhone/iPad.

  • Reminders not syncing properly with iCloud and iOS 8

I have an iMac running OS X 10.9.4 and an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.0.2.  I use Reminders on both my iMac and my iPhone and iCloud is turned on for both devices.
If I create a reminder on my iMac, I can see it immediately when I log in to iCloud.com and go to Reminders.  It does not show up on my iPhone.  If I edit this reminder on either the iMac or iCloud.com, the changes sync immediately between the iMac and iCloud.com but NOT my iPhone.
If I create a reminder on iCloud.com, it immediately shows up on my iMac.  It does not show up on my iPhone.  If I edit this reminder on either the iMac or iCloud.com, the changes sync immediately between the iMac and iCloud.com but NOT my iPhone.
If I create a reminder on my iPhone, it shows up on my iMac and iCloud.com.  If I edit this reminder on either the iMac or iCloud.com, the changes sync immediately between the iMac and iCloud.com but NOT my iPhone.
In order for any edits/deletes to sync to/from the iPhone, I either need to create the event on the iPhone, at which point it syncs any other changes, or I need to create a new dummy event and then delete it, at which point it syncs any other changes.
Basically, it seems like the iPhone needs to initiate a "hey iCloud, here are changes from my end.  Oh, there are changes from other devices?  OK, I'll show those changes" protocol, otherwise it just doesn't receive any updates from iCloud.
I don't think it's an issue with my iCloud account, since Reminders on my iMac and Reminders on iCloud.com sync just fine.
On my iPhone, I have tried:
-Force quitting and re-opening the app
-Changing the Reminders sync options (Settings -> Reminders -> Sync)
-Turning Reminders off and back on under Settings -> iCloud -> Reminders
-Turning the iPhone off and back on
None of those methods have fixed this issue.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue or is this unique to my iPhone?

    Hi mrbofus,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that you're experiencing issues with iCloud syncing your reminders on your iPhone.  To troubleshoot this issue I'd like you to please follow the steps below.
    General troubleshooting
Check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any issues affecting iCloud Bookmarks or Reading List.
Make sure you've fully enabled iCloud Calendar & Reminders for the client you are using. For more setup and troubleshooting information, see the additional steps for iOS, OS X, Windows, and iCloud.com in this article.
Check iCloud Help (help.apple.com/icloud) for possible information about the issue you are experiencing.
Check your settings and preferences, because something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues that are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting Reminders on iOS devices
If you're having trouble with Reminders on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) and iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Make sure that you're using iOS 5 or later. If you meet these requirements but your issue continues, try installing the latest version of iOS supported by your device.
Make sure that your iCloud account is configured correctly in Settings. For instructions on setting up iOS for iCloud, see iCloud Setup. Reminders is a separate data type on iOS. It must be enabled via the Reminders setting in Settings > iCloud.
Make sure your iOS device is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud Reminders will not update in Calendar. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Reminders requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar and Reminders servers.
If recent changes don't appear in Reminders, try forcing a refresh. In iOS 7:
    Open the Calendar app.
Tap the Calendars tab to load the Calendars list.
Pull down on the list to refresh both calendar events and reminders.
If recent changes simply don't appear in Reminders, try forcing a refresh. In iOS 6 and 5:
    Open the Calendar app.
Tap Calendars in the top-left corner to load the Calendars list.
Tap the Refresh button in the lower-left of the Calendars list.
Quit and restart the Reminders app on your iOS device.
In iOS 7, press the Home button.
Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open.
Find the Reminders preview screen and swipe it up and out of preview to quit the application.
Quit and restart the Reminders app on your iOS device.
In iOS 6 and iOS 5, press the Home button.
Press the Home button twice to open the multitasking menu.
Press and hold the Reminders icon until it jiggles.
Tap the red circle in the upper-left corner to quit the app.
Press the Home button to get back to your Home screen. Wait a minute before reopening the Calendar app.
Change the Sync settings for your calendars:
In iOS 7 and iOS 6, tap Settings > Reminders.
In iOS 5, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then scroll down to the bottom to the Reminders section.
Tap Sync. If Sync is set to All Reminders, set it to a specific duration, such as Reminders 1 Month Back. If it's already set to a specific duration, set it to All Reminders.
Wait several minutes and refresh again, as described previously. Then open the Reminders app again.
Turn iCloud Reminders off and back on:
    Tap Settings > iCloud.
Turn off Reminders. Choose to delete data only if your reminders exist at icloud.com/#reminders and on one or more of your devices. Otherwise, choose Keep Data.
Wait a few minutes before turning Reminders back on.
Restart your iOS device: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears, then drag the slider. After the device turns off, turn it back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

  • Reminders NOT syncing between ipad and iphone

About to pull my hair out.  I have tried so many differnent combinations to get this to work (after reading other posts).  Original problem was that I could update from iphone and the new remnders would then be on the icloud calendar, but not on the ipad.  Finally, after reading other posts, stopped reminders from both devices and cleared the ones on off my iphone only.  They went away on the cloud and were never on the ipad.
I then enabled reminders on the ipad.  Most merged to the cloud, but it erased one whole list of reminders while keeping the list name.  Can now see the remaining ones on the cloud and ipad.  Reenabled on the iphone and can now see them there too.
Went to rebuild the ones that "disappeared" from the ipad.  All are entered and they ONLY show on the ipad - not on the cloud nor iphone.
The list name of the ones that disappeared is the same name of a calender.  From the cloud, I changed the name of that list.  A few seconds later, the name changed on both devices.
Communication is happening, but the new items in that now renamed list are still not on the cloud and, subsequently, not on the ipone.
    HELP!!

The tasks that I'm attemptign to sync are actually through an Outlook exchange server.  Besides that, I sync everything through iCloud.
The only time recently that I've synced with my computer is when I updated to iOS 6, and a few times recently, as I've also lost the ability to wi-fi sync for soem reason.

  • Reminders not syncing?

Although my reminders have previously synced seamlessly between my iPad, iPhone, and MacBook, lately there has been virtually no crossover between the three. I will create a scheduled reminder on my iPad, and will not be reminded on my phone or MacBook. Likewise, I will create a reminder on my phone and not see it appear on my iPad. I have the latest OS installed on each, and I am logged into iCloud on all devices, with Reminders enabled. How can I get back to having seamlessly synced reminders on all three devices?
    iPad Air
    iPhone 5s
    MacBook Air

I'm having the same issue.  Reminders aren't syncing with calendar on my iphone 3gs or ical on my imac running lion.  However, they are showing up on icloud.com.  Events show up but not reminders.
I tried turning phone off but that didn't work.  When i get home, I'm going to try turning Calendar sync off then on but in the meantime, @Steven Weissman, where did you find the default list saying "On My iPhone"?
    Thanks,
    alan

  • Reminders not syncing properly

Reminders sync from my iphone to my mac if i create a new list. But if i create a new list on my mac, it doesent sync that list to my phone. But it works the opposite way, please help.

    Try this:
When you send old reminders to Completed, they apparently stay on iCloud and are counted as part of the total number of reminders there.
There is a limit, rather small, to the number of reminders that can be accommodated on iCloud.  You cannot transfer new reminders between devices when the limit is reached.
But if you remove these completed reminders (and maybe lists that you do not need), the sync works
In the future, use the Delete function by highlighting the reminder and right clicking to get the Delete function.
Worked immediately for me.  Apple's bad.

  • Calendar reminders not syncing correctly/at all (Google/Pre)

First, I have my Pre set up to sync with my regular Google account and as long as I set the reminder with Google Calendar to "Pop-up" the Pre is actually syncing any type of reminder I enter using the Google Calendar web interface just fine (it displays any type of reminder alarm time as minutes instead of hours, days or even weeks .. but that's alright). Any other reminder type (email/SMS) is getting swallowed or thrown out.
Now here's where it's getting interesting: When changing the reminder time on the very same event I created using Google Calendar to some arbitrary time on the Pre (e.g. "15 Minutes") the reminder is going to stay that way on the Pre, however, once the reminder is synced back to Google Calendar it is gone completely (in the Google Calendar interface). At least that's what the interface is telling me. Google Calendar still displays the casual bell sign next to the event, which means it knows there is some type of reminder set, but it's probably unable to display the time reminder associated with said event.
So the Pre either changes the reminder state in some way Google Calendar is not able to recognize or completely overwrites the reminder alarm with it's own unrecognizable alarm time scheme.
Secondly, whenever I create an event on the Pre I can set whatever reminder I want .. the settings never make it to either Google Calendar or iCal. And there is no bell sign next to the event title in the Google Calendar interface (like I described with the first issue before) either. The reminder gets lost completely except for on my Pre!.
I really don't know where exactly the setup is going south but I tested this thoroughly today and I think I hit a bug in the calendar application. Is anyone else having the same issue or able to reproduce it?
Any hints on solving my problem?
    Steps to reproduce (first issue):
    Add event in Google Calendar
Assign Pop-Up reminder with (any) time
Let the Pre sync with Google Calendar
Change the reminder time on the Pre to something different (e.g. "15 Minutes"; even changing "15 Minutes" from Google Calendar to "15 Minutes" on the Pre is having the exact same effect)
Let the Pre sync with Google Calendar
The reminder is gone on Google Calendar
Desired effect: The reminder should be changed on Google Calendar
    Steps to reproduce (second issue):
    Add event on the Pre
Assign a reminder to it with any given time (e.g. "15 Minutes")
Let the Pre sync with Google Calendar
The event is synced but without any reminder at all
Desired effect: The reminder should be synced to/appear on Google Calendar
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated because otherwise I will have to return my Pre (and I really don't want to!). Thank you!

I had that same issue these couple of day, when I read your post thing I hadn't try was creating on OWA, and also trying to complete tasks on the phone.  For some strange reason as soon as I began completing tasks on the phone and adding tasks from OWA it began working...it seem as it activated the syncying capabilities.  I began trying all the way around, creating on PC, on OWA, completing the task on phone or PC, and at least as for today been working.

  • Calendars and Reminders not syncing

    Hey,
My Calendars between my Phone and Macbook aren't syncing, since I started using iMessages on my Macbook.
It looks as though my iPhone isn't updating icloud correctly, as I checked on iCloud.com and it's using the version that is on the MacBook instead of the iPhone (the iPhone is the latest version)

    Hello,
Since i've restored my data to a new Iphone5 i've my calendar stoped to Sync.
I've tried all the known solution like, turn off an on the icloud service, delete account and reasign account...
After trying a restore that diden't worked either, i've tried to assign, my fathers account, and voilá the icloud synced smoothly.
So my problem is that probably my icloud data on apple server have some issue or is corrupted, in the other hand i can acess it thrugh web and my mac.
I've also noted that syncing over 1600 contacts on my father account was faster than syncing mine 623 contacts...
The Notes sync ok, the contacts sync slowly but at the and i've got all data,
My major issues is on Reminders and Calendars.
Some one have any solution, or same problem?
    Thanks in advance

  • The reminders app in my iPhone and the reminders in Mac are not syncing properly

I use the Reminders app and Notes app extensively to keep track in both my Mac and iPhone. However the reminders app in my phone does not immediately sync when i made changes in my Mac and later when i make a change in my iphone Reminders, it over writes the reminders in Mac. Please help so that my work syncs smoothly from Mac to iPhone and vice versa without any loss of information, just as Apple advertises and takes pride in being able to do so.

There are a couple threads out there with this issue.  I had the same problem. Try this link for the answer...
Re: Reminders not syncing properly with iCloud and iOS 8
At the bottom - one person has the answer...On your iPhone remove your iCloud account.  Then add it back.  It's not as painful as it sounds it only took me less than 5min to add everything back

  • ICloud Notes sync loses data entered offline

When syncinc after making offline changes to a note while disconnected from the Internet, iCloud discards your changes. This is user un-friendly in the extreme.
    Try this:
    1. Make a new note on your mac. Enter a line or two of text.
    2. Turn Wi-Fi off or otherwise disable your Internet connection
    3. Add some more text to your note.
    3. Open Notes on your iPhone. Select the new note and add some text.
    4. Enable the network on your mac. Notes will sync and discard the changes you entered in Step 3.
I lost some very important changes to a note this way. Any way to get them back?

  • Reminders-sort order of tasks does not sync

I'm trying to use Reminders on my iPhone 4s, iMac running Mountain Lion and iCloud. Although syncing does occur BETWEEN THESE 3 APPS,
THE SORT ORDER OF THE TASKS IS COMPLETELY OUT OF SYNC. I need to sort my many to do tasks manually as priorities change
daily. Therefore it's important to have the sort order (sequence of task items) sync across these devices. I imagine many users would agree with this.

Just discovering for myself that re-ordering reminders can be achieved - but order is not synced between devices or shared accounts. Which is to say it's about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
For the record, I have thrown the equivalent of a message in a bottle to feedback - an action for which I believe the acronym is CWOT.
Also, it seems there's a thing called customer quality feedback...
Visit our Customer Quality Feedback (CQF) site at: http://www.cqf.apple.com/
    However, it doesn't work...
Alas, it seems the writing is on the wall for Apple.
