Reminders to calendar

Hi there,
how can I add some reminders to Calendar?
Theres a way to drag this, or add this? I didnt found anything :-(
This WAS an important Feature for me, to drag the reminders from the right sidebar in iCal to the Calendar to make a weekly Todo List.

In Mountain Lion reminders have been taken out of iCal/Calendar and moved to their own app:

  • Daily reminders in calendar don't work

I have recently updated my 8900 online.  Since this update my daily reminders in calendar wont work.  Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Every other day.  All these reminders work but not ones that are supposed to be daily.  I am epileptic and need to take daily medication, so to me these reminders are vital.
My solution so far has been to put the reminder in as a weekly occurrence on every day of the week.  I also have Google Calendar reminding me.  Not the best solution when you have spent a few hundred pounds on a device.
    Any other answers please.

Seriously? I ask Apple where to go to get answers to bugs and they direct me here, but no one here can fix the problem or even look into it. So I've been waiting two months for absolutely nothing because of further incompetence. What a terrible company.

Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.
Once you got into the refurbished phone exchanges, that is where things really went haywire. What someone tells you over the phone is a sketchy proposition, and when it comes down to it, it's your word against theirs.
I think Verizon tried to make it right, though. Remember, they don't make the phones. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You stated yourself you were a satisfied Verizon customer before this. Had the first two phones performed as they should, you would still be a satisfied Verizon customer.
Doubt any of that will make you any happier, but after you went through the effort of writing such a long post, I thought I'd try.

  • How to sync reminders without calendar?

    Hello,
on iPhone and iPad, it's no problem to sync reminders and calendar seperatly.
Not in Mountain Lion, there it's called "calendar & reminders".
I'm syncing my calendar with Google and I want to still use that way.
How can I sync reminders without calendar?
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi to all,
I am unable to sync neither my calendar nor my contacts to my brand new 160GB iPod classic from iTunes 7.5. All ticked and enabled in preferences, I am aufait with iTunes so I have all the settings correctly enabled - I believe my stumbling block is Outlook/Office 2007 Enterprise Edition??? I have switched to Vista in the last few weeks but that is not the root of the problem, as I had this problem first on my last machine - XP HOME.
Is there a conflict with new generation iPod's and Outlook 2007?

  • Reminders and Calendar not synced with iCloud

At some point, Reminders and Calendar no longer sync with iCloud. They were working fine when I first installed Mountain Lion (a fresh install on a new drive, not an upgrade with preferences from a previous install), but sometime recently they stoppped syncing. This may or may not have occurred when I updated to 10.8.2; I don't regularly use them, but when I do, I need the info synced.
Other programs work fine: Contacts, Notes, and Safari all sync with iCloud. I can create/update items on my iPhone, and it's reflected on my Mac, and vice-versa.
This is frustrating, especially because it was working well at one point. I've tried unchecking/re-checking the "Calendars & Reminders" option in the iCloud system preferences, as well as signing out and back in again. Each time, I've always chosen to delete the data on my Mac.
I'm out of ideas - short of a full reinstall, which isn't feasible. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it?

I have developed the same problem.  Calendar and Reminders no longer sync, nor can I enter any new items via iCloud.com.  My iPhone and BusyCal on my MAC no longer sync.  I was tempted to try turning sync off on my MAC but, like you, got the warning that it was deleting all data on my MAC.  So I backed off.
Using my MAC, I signed onto my wife's iCloud account and experienced no problem; all works as it should.
I keep sending the error messages to Apple.  So far in the last two days they have not responded.

  • I would like to customise Reminders and Calendar, any hints? thank you Melina

What does that mean? There are very few "customizations" in the Mac OS. What do you want to happen?

  • Reminders, contacts, calendars entered on ipad 3 are not syncing to iphone or icloud

Recently I switched from syncing contacts, reminders, and calendar events from Outlook 2010 to iCloud. I have an iPhone 4S with a provider, my iPad3 only has wi-fi. I have all setting set to one Calendar for iCloud on my PC, iPhone, and iPad but if I enter a new calendar event, reminder or contact via my iPad, they do not sync up to the iPhone or iCloud.
    What am I missing?

Yes. I also have both setup with the one account email address. It is NOT my icloud email address.
I do have the Fetch new Data set differently because my iPhone 4S was draining the battery when it was set to PUSH. I have it set to Fetch every hour.
For example, I set a calendar event for March 16th on my iPad. I didn't have internet connection when i created it. Now that I am connected to the internet from home, the event still has not transferred to my iPhone.
Just to Verify I checked the Calendar on my iPhone and my calendar on my iPad and they are the same iCloud and this Calendar is shared. I shared it with my husband.

  • My macbook pro is running 10.10.1 and has stopped syncing reminders and calendar events to iCloud.

My macbook pro is running 10.10.1 and has stopped syncing reminders and calendar events to iCloud. Changes made to iCloud directly DO update to my machine, so the communication issue is one way only. When I make a change to the calendar or reminders on my machine, it will often bog down and run slowly. I have done several trouble shooting steps without result. these include:
    Restarting my computer.
Running Disk Utility diagnostics for both permissions and disk verification.
Checking that my internet and network is working.
Checking that I am properly logged in to iCloud with my ID on my machine and that I have set everything to sync.
Checking my iCloud settings to stop syncing Reminders and Calendars and then setting them back to sync again.
    Any suggestions?

    1. Calendars in the On My Mac or On My iPhone/iPad/iPod category, and calendars that sync with other network services such as Google, will not sync with iCloud.
    2. Back up all data, then take all the applicable steps in these support articles:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
iCloud: Advanced Calendar and iCal troubleshooting
Nearly all sync issues should be resolved that way. Please make sure you've taken all the steps and tested adequately before continuing.
    3. If there are any calendars on your Mac that you don't synchronize with iCloud, export them by selecting them in the calendar list and then selecting
              File ▹ Export ▹ Export…
from the menu bar. Quit Calendar.
    4. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Calendars
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Move that folder to the Desktop.
    5. Launch Calendar. Your calendars will initially be gone, but they should resynchronize with iCloud. If they don't, uncheck the boxes marked Calendars and Reminders in the iCloud preference pane, then re-check them.
    6. Import the calendars you exported in Step 3, if any, by double-clicking the files.
    7. If the issue is resolved, close the Finder window you opened in Step 4. Delete the exported files and the Calendars folder on the Desktop.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How do I stop SMS event reminders for Calendar events in iOS7?

I just upgraded to iOS7 and my synced Gmail Calendar items have begun to send SMS reminders to my phone (In addition to the regular event reminders from the Calendar app) for every calendar entry! I never enabled a setting for this previously, and I'm stumped as to how to stop them. Each message comes from (999) 999-9999 and just says: "Reminder: event name @ Sun 2013-09-22 9:00AM".
    Thanks,

I believe this setting is controlled in the Google Calendar itself. Log into your google account via the web and go to your calendar. If you click on the triangle to the right of the My Calendars heading, you can go to Settings. Reminders and Notifications settings for each calendar can be modified here.

  • Reminders share calendar outlook 2010

    My
    environment is as follows:
    Two mailboxes of exchange 2010
    mailbox 1
    mailbox 2
    I am sharing
    the calendar from Outlook 2010
    mailbox 1
I have delegated permissions on the calendar to the
    mailbox 2
User 1 can see the calendar of the
    mailbox 2
The problem is it does not display shared calendar
    notifications
    I use the option manage
    full access permission exchange
from outlook I use the option
    open additional mailbox opening the
    mailbox 1
        Then see this
    calendar reminders work
my goal is to limit the mailbox 1 to
user 2 cannot send email with
that account and can only display the calendar
    and reminders.

    Hi,
Outlook only supports firing reminders in your own mailbox or default PST file. Therefore, reminders are available only for items stored in the main calendar:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/see-and-share-multiple-calendars-RZ001030994.aspx?section=8
With full access mailbox permission, the user has owner permission to the mailbox. So the reminder can be work in shared mailbox as an additional mailbox. But for shared calendar, the reminder can’t be displayed. The reminder added in
the shared calendar can only remind the mailbox owner instead of calendar owner.

  • Add reminders or calendar items to OneNote for Bullet Journaling

I currently run OS X Yosemite.
I've come to rely upon OneNote for Mac.  I've started to use it as a Bullet Journal productivity tool and it works pretty well for this.  It would work even better if I could set alarms, reminders, or alerts within an OneNote page or table.
This would work far better for me than bouncing around between Calendar or Reminders as it would tie all that functionality to where I need/want it.  So, does a way exist to embed or link to or set reminders or alerts in/from OneNote pages?
This would also apply to doing it in a table or Numbers spreadsheet, so it certainly goes beyond just OneNote.
I'd love an easy solution, but even an Apple Script solution would probably prove worth the effort.  A toy example follows.
The first column allows to mark tasks, events, or notes with the Bullet Journal identifiers.
The second, just gives the task.
I'd like the third column to include not just an associate static date, but a reminder that will actually alert me.
Even better if I could set the reminder or calendar item directly within the table.
    Any thoughts appreciated.

Any luck with this alphaalpha? I'm in the exact same boat as you. I find OneNote is the best app I've used for organizing myself, but could really use the functionality of reminders built into the app somehow. I'm currently exploring ways to import the reminders or export the tasks to other apps (ie I'm looking at IFTTT right now) but it seems like this should just be a functional part of the program. I've done some research and while there is a reminder function in the windows version of OneNote, it only works in conjunction with Outlook.
Let me know if you've found a solution! I'd be happy to do the same for you.

  • Media Sync: Missing Reminders for Calendar Sync

So far the only problem I have with the new Media Sync is that the calendar syncs but doesn't add reminders on the phone. Is this supposed to happen or is it a feature that hasn't been implemented yet?
I use the latest Mac OS: 10.6
    My BB's OS: 4.2.1.107

Overall, I think the Mac OS BB Desktop Manager is very poorly done.  Shame on RIM for having released this at this stage - it's a joke.  My staff are having a TON of issues syncing.
I remember RIM pushing back the release date, but people kept asking for Desktop Manager for Mac ASAP and so RIM delivered. Like most v1.0 software, it's bug ridden, so we have to trust developers to patch up the software as users discover them.
My strife is that it's very obscure as to how to submit bugs or at least communicate with the developers. This forum is a great solution, but I haven't had a reply from any developers.

  • Reminders and Calendar running slow on iCloud

    Hi,
since I upgraded my Mac software to 10.7.4 and started using iCloud to sync my calendar and reminders I find that they both run extremely slowly on my iPad and iPhone.
I have tried turning off iCloud and turning it back on, and changing the settings within iCloud from push to fetch but they are both still running slowly.  Reminders is particularly bad and often hangs for several minutes, particularly if I want to add or edit more than one reminder.
Can anyone advise how to resolve this?
I have an iPad 2 running 5.1.1, an iPhone 3GS running 5.1.1 and a MacBook Pro running 10.7.4
