Remote agent installed but cant do manual update

Hi there
I have the remote agent on my laptop so my laptop pushes to SW rather than vice versa. I am fairly sure there is meant to be the open in the systray icon to do a manual push to spiceworks but I cant see it. All I see is About, Exit and the custom URL.

Do a Spotlight for "iPhoto.app" and see what yo get. If that fails download and run Find Any File to search for a file with "iPhoto.app" in the file name.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If the application is hiding somewhere on your hard drive FAF will find it.

Spiceworks remote agent install on old computers gives installation errors

Hi,
I am receiving the following installation error when installing the remote agent on windows XP computers with older processors.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? All would be appreciated!

Update: In the middle of the OSX installation from DVD1, the MBA says it forgot the WPA WLAN keys and it would like me to re-enter it. So I re-enter it, but it says it was wrong. So I tried it with another Y-Z keymapping switch, and that worked. The OSX installer on MBA silently changed its keyboard layout mapping during installation......

Flash player installed but cant find!

i installed flash player, it said it is successfully installed but i cant find it anywhere on my computer, when i go into my harddrive where you uninstall programs its there! all i can do it uninstall it! ive been trying to install flash player for 3 weeks now, i need it for my assignment at uni! can anyone help please?

1.1.3 update installed, but cant customize home screen

I updated an iPod touch, and I confirmed in Settings > General > About, that it is running Version 1.1.3.
However, holding my finger down on a home-screen icon for an extended period of time does not put it into customize mode the way it does on my iPhone.
I also noticed that in Safari, when I hit the + plus sign, it does not give me the option to Add to HomeScreen.
But I am 100% sure the update installed and is running. I even have an option in settings >
General > Reset, to "Reset Home Screen Layout"
Now this update was installed from my Mac. But the iPod touch belongs to a friend and I do not want to register to my itunes, etc. I do have a back-up of their iPod Touch on in my iTunes, so I assume that I can do a restore and she wont loose all her songs and videos. After that I can try to apply the update again. Should this work? Are there any steps I should be aware of. I think the weird thing I am doing is trying to update the software from a computer (my macbook) that is not the same computer the iTouch usually syncs with. But I have done this with other peoples iPhones before and never had a probelm.

Install but cant cause update

i had the trial but it ended. i bought the real version and unistalled the trial so i could update. the update wont work because i dont have the file.

What application are you trying to update? Do you get any error messages? You did not have to uninstall the trial, it can be converted to full use with the serial number from your purchase.

Lion purchased, featured as installed, but OS X not updated?

I just purchased and downloaded Lion OS X. It is now featured as installed on my App Store account, but OS X is not updated on my Macbook Pro? I currently run OS X 10.6.8. with intel core i5.
Appreciate any guidance, as I cannot figure out how to 're-install' Lion as the App store does not seem to allow for re-downloading purchases. Thanks!

That's exactly it. thanks so much. Just one problem. I have the drive partitioned into 2 separate partitions and the one is a CCC back and one is Time Machine. Therefore I will always need to keep this disk in for TM to work. Is there a way to stop the auto mounting of the CCC partition?

ILife apps in Yosemite install but remain as pending updates

Ages ago, I aquired the iLife and iWorks apps (GarageBand, iMovie, iPhoto, Keynote, Numbers, Pages). I now upgraded from 10.8 to 10.10 (english).
The App Store now shows the following strange behaviour:
1. I could update all apps except GarageBand from the Purchases tab.
2. GarageBand I had to purchase again, what I did.
3. After reboot, all six apps work.
4. However, they all still appear as UPDATE (except GarageBand which appears as INSTALL) in the App Store.
5. A non iLife app like FinalCutPro updated properly too AND is recognized as installed properly.
PROBLEM and QUESTION:
How do I get the App Store to recognize the former iLife apps as installed and current?

Illustrator CC app installed but cant find on computer...?

I was installing illustrator and towards the end it said that an error had occured. Despite this CC says that illustrator is one of my installed apps but I can't find the files for it in my programes folder or anywhere on my computer.

Apple remote adjusts volume, but cant skip songs

Hello,
I've bought a universal dock with apple remote. The thing works fine on my 4th generation iPod nano. Now i've tried it on my 80GB iPod classic, and im able to change the volume, but not to skip the tracks (as i am able too with the nano).
Anyone ideas how the fix this? I've tried repairing and everything...

I have the same problem. Worked fine for about a month but went to use it today and I can only control the volume. I know the remote is fine because it controls my iMac ok.

FVWM installed but cant make it use my themes

I found a nice theme and want to use it, i extract the .fvwm folder to my home and in that dir, its a .fvwm2rc file but it seems that fvwm dont found it because all i get is a black screen and (only with numlock deactivated) the menu with rightclick, and windows have what it seems like a windows border with no buttons, but the theme i download, (and edited the .fvwm2rc file) has a lot of things that doesnt appear in the forums i search and in guides of fvwm and seems that if there's a .fvwm2rc file in the .fvwm dir fvwm will use it...
i too install fvwm-crystal and run with no problem, with its config, but i want fvwm alone

You probably want to pacman fvwm-devel, not fvwm. The fvwm package is very old (but considered stable).
Also, read the fvwm faq, it'll tell you how to redirect output to a log so that you can find out what it's erroring on.

ACS 4.2 Remote agent compatibility issues.

I have been doing a bit of reading on the ACS 4.2 remote agent compatibility with Windows 2008 R2, and it seems like the only way out is to upgrade the ACS to 5.2. We have Cisco ACS 4.2 SE and I would want someone to confirm that what if I install the Remote agent on a Windows 2003 member server instead of the 2008 R2 DC. Will such a scenario work?

Workaround:
Install the ACS or Remote Agent on a 2003/2008 domain controller
Cisco doesn't support this scenario because sometimes work fine other doesn't work at all, so nobody wants an unstable network right, unfortunately the workaround doesn't help much. Although there is an ACS 5.2 trial version that you can test, let me know so I can get you the links.

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
