Remote agents and Phone and IP Comm, RMJTAPI error on log on....

Just finished moving a customer from 5 to 8.5.
The customer has agents set up with an office phone and also an IP Comm so they can work from home if need be. In the old version both devices had thier agent extension on both devices and both devices were associated to the RMJTAPI user.
On the new version when I associate both devices to RMJTAPI the agent are getting the "not associated to RMJTAPI" error until I remove one of the devices from being associated.
I know technically having the 2 devices is not supported by Cisco but this did work before and the customer isnt interested in changing the configuration.
Any thoughts or help on this is appreciated...

Realistically the only way I've ever found to get around this is to use Extension Mobility on the desk phone and CIPC. That way, only one of the phones is ever logged on as the user and the JTAPI stuff just works.

Cancelled a contract on my Iphone and started another contract with Samsung Note 2 on O2. Managed to transfer almost all my data bar the content of my notes through drag and drop from itune to sKies prior to contract cancellation.
When I later connected the iphone to the laptop to carry out an advise of going into itune to drag and drop the note content into dropbox from where I could pull into the samsung device, I was denied access into itune with my id , the same which has facilitated my access to this chat community.
Question then: Am I not able to use itune again because of the contract cancellation?

On of the reasons I stayed with android is because I use my google calendar all the time - I love that it syncs with my computer and phone and my daughter's as well so we all know what we are doing. Do you know if the iphone does that?

I would go one stage further...
What are the Aliases set against your Own Apple ID in Messages Menu > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages account.
As has been said a share Apple ID here will sync (Display) everything from all iOS devices using the same iPhone Numbers and Apple ID
I have two iPhone (therefore two Numbers and had to say "No" to adding them as active Aliases. (Send and Receive Names or IDs)
If an email that you share has been Added as an Alias in your setings you will have this "Overlap" issue.

Spiceworks remote agent install on old computers gives installation errors

I am receiving the following installation error when installing the remote agent on windows XP computers with older processors.

Update: In the middle of the OSX installation from DVD1, the MBA says it forgot the WPA WLAN keys and it would like me to re-enter it. So I re-enter it, but it says it was wrong. So I tried it with another Y-Z keymapping switch, and that worked. The OSX installer on MBA silently changed its keyboard layout mapping during installation......
What I nightmare.

I had recently changed my email address and can get into my itunes and phone fine but icloud willnot let me log in to shut it off. It has my old password. How do I update it? It will not let me delete it out.

Icloud does not store your mail, unless you use icloud mail and in that case it saved once in icloud server. It does save mail settings only for other accounts, which are taking insignificant amount of space. Your apps do not go against storage, but their internal information is saved in separate backups. Your pictures are backed up separately, since they are inside of backup image file and every device has different image.

Wi fi works on one computer but is not being recognized by my phone and other computers?

My new airport wifi signa;l is picked up by my computer, but alerts there is 'no internet connection' on my laptop and phone and ipad. Anyone else have this problem? Were you able to fix it?

Shortcut Method
On your Mac, please open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPort Extreme icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window that appears
Check the setting for Router Mode. It should be set to DHCP and NAT. If it's not, change to DHCP and NAT and click Update at the lower right of the window and allow a full minute for the AirPort Extreme to restart.
Then, power off both the modem and AirPort Extreme
Wait at least 15 minutes, longer will not hurt
After the power down period, power up the modem and let it run for 5 minutes
Then, power up the AirPort Extreme
Check the network. If all devices connect, you are good to go. If connection issues still exist, you will need to move to the.......
Start from scratch method
With the AirPort Extreme powered on for a few minutes, hold in the reset button on the back of the device for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Extreme to restart to a slow, blinking light.
Repeat the steps above starting with the power down of the modem and AirPort Extreme.
The AirPort Extreme is automatically reset to DHCP and NAT when you perform the reset, so you do not need to check this setting.
This time, when you power up the AirPort Exteme again, you will need to reconfigure the Extreme again. You can use the same device name, wireless network name, etc that you used before if you wish, or change things up.

The problem I am having is this: The phone and message portion of my palm stopped working. I called my provider and they told me I needed a new sim card. I got a new one and put it in and still experienced the problem. It was a complete stoppage. I could call one out of 10 tries and a message or two came through but late. I then called Palm and they walked me through a hard reset and the phone started working, ...but only for the evening. Now again it is at the same place. I have hard reset it several times and occasionally it will work once or twice after that. ....

HT1430 on attempting to update to latest os, phone and sim no longer recognised by system

On attempting to update to latest OS today, phone cleared and phone and sim no longer recognised and cannot be activated or reset to previous OS.

This is typically due to the iPhone being hacked to be unlocked or a faulty SIM card.
Try replacing the SIM card with one from the carrier the device is locked to.

My ipad 3 keeps dropping the wifi connection when my android tablet, android phone, and laptop have never had any issues.

I just got a verizon ipad and am having wifi connection problems. It will connect to my wifi but every 5 or 10 minutes it will drop the connection. The only way to get it back is to go and manually connect to it again in the wifi settings.
Is anyone else having this problem? My android tablet and phone and laptop do not have this problem.

It appears hundreds are having this problem. You must not have done a search for this subject before posting. Try a search for "wifi connection problem on iPad 3" and you'll get lots of information regarding this problem and a few suggestions you can try.

Lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent....

Simple explanation - your db link to the OTG gateway connects to an Oracle listener that starts up an agent process. This process connects to the foreign database and acts as the gateway between your end and the foreign database. When this agent process fails, your side realises that the remote process is no more as it is no longer responding. The above error is then raised - as all your side knows that something critical went wrong on the agent side.
This agent has its own +.ora+ configuration file. One of the parameters that can be set is HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL (just confirm it for your OTG version - been years since I last used OTG). When the agent give problems, enable this parameter and have a look at the trace file generated by the agent process. The reason for the agent process failing should be listed in the trace file.

CME and UCCX, G.729 for local/remote agents?

- UCCX 8.5 (single node)
- the SIP route point is configured for codec g711ulaw
- Desk IP Phone and CAD
Remote site
- Metro-E connection with local site
- Desk IP Phone and CAD
In UCCX administration GUI, System > System parameters > Media Parameters > Codec
It only allows me to choose G711...
is it possible to enable the G.729 for the local and remote agent?

I have added the following in CME to add a transcoder, and restarted the CCX engine.
But the UCCX system parameter > media codec still not allows me to choose G.729.
Did I make something wrong in CME settings?
