How do I pass SELECT-OPTIONS to another screen via CALL TRANSACTION?
Good day, everyone!
I am writing a program that will be passing PARAMETERS and SELECT-OPTIONS values to another transaction via the CALL TRANSACTION statement. I'm new at this, and I've run into a problem. I have several fields that are defined as SELECT-OPTIONS, like so:
SELECT-OPTIONS so_ccode FOR fkkop-bukrs.
The user may select multiple values, enter a range, exclude certain values, etc. -- the things a SELECT-OPTIONS allows.
But how do I pass all of this to a field on another screen using CALL TRANSACTION when I only have two fields (BDCDATA-FNAM and BDCDATA-FVAL) available to me? That works fine for PARAMETERS, but I can send low/high values, different signs/options, etc. for the SELECT-OPTIONS variables.
Please help!! Points awarded for all helpful answers.
Thank you,
DaveDon't use CALL TRANSACTION. Use SUBMIT instead.

Call Transaction Method of BDC
Hi All,
How to read screen field values using Call Transaction method of BDC? The BDC recording for the transaction /SAPAPO/TSCOPY has been done and only values from 2 fields have to be read which deals with Keyfigures. GS_KFMAP-KEYF_FR & GS_KFMAP-KEYF_TO are the two screen fields.
Thanks & Regards,
SavithaHi Savitha,
Can you please clarify Whether you want read the values or Populate values to screen fileds using call transaction?.
If you want to read the screen filed values.I think we do n't use BDC.Directly we can refer to the screen fields and try to find out what fileds(dictionary) they are reffering. -
Call transaction in a BDC program...
Hi,
I can see in one of the BDC program, the call transaction command is used. This BDC program updates the Vendor master table.
CALL TRANSACTION BLF00-TCODE USING FT
MODE ANZ_MODE
UPDATE UPDATE.
Now, I am trying to know what transaction code it is using in above call transaction to update vendor master.
Regards,
Rajesh.Put a break point on that statement in that program and run your program using MODE 'A', step thru the screens, when you get to that statement in debug mode, simply click on the BLF00-TCODE and see the value.

Rich Heilman -

best regardsHi Savitha,
Can you please clarify Whether you want read the values or Populate values to screen fileds using call transaction?.
If you want to read the screen filed values.I think we do n't use BDC.Directly we can refer to the screen fields and try to find out what fileds(dictionary) they are reffering. -
Problem with "Call Transaction" which calls a view cluster
Hi Colleagues ,
I have a rare issue with the call transaction , here is the use case for it :
1> I call a transaction(calls a screen X) in a report ,
2> I have a button in the screen , which calls another transaction(calls a screen X2) .
3> On the screen X2 i have another button which calls transaction (calls the view cluster ).
problem :
i'm not able to see the navigation pane in the view cluster on the left. its missing .
but when the view cluster is called direclty , i'm able to see the navigation pane in the view cluster ..
My initial doubt was , is this the problem with nesting of 'Call Transaction' calls ????
please answer the thread , i have to fix this ASAP.
regards,
Dilipproblem solved.

Hi !
I need to call transaction QA32 from my zprogram, transfer it 3 parameter (Inspection lot, attn, plant ) and skip first screen.
I tried to the commands : SET PARAMETER ID 'MAT'
SET PARAMETER ID 'werks'
SET PARAMETER ID ( Id of inspection Lot ) .
And then the command call Transaction 'Qa32;
However the navigate didn't work ok.
How do i find the proper ID of SET PARAMETER of qa32 ?
When i tried to use call transaction Qa32 using BDC table and give it
the proper recording of Qa32, i get an error: can't find the screen the inspection lot . How can i solve the problem ?
navSET PARAMETER ID 'MAT' FIELD lv_matnr.
SET PARAMETER ID 'WRK' FIELD lv_werks.
SET PARAMETER ID 'QHK' FIELD lv_qhrk.
CALL TRANSACTION 'QA32' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
Do F1 on the field u want to see the Parameter ID, then press the technical settings button on the pop-up u will get another screen, in that u can get the parameter id.

Whts the difference between call transaction and session
hi,
can u plz tell me the differnces between call transaction method in BDC and session method.
my doubt is even the call transaction method also can me scheduled using job scheduler then why do we need session methodHi
BDC:
Batch Data Communication (BDC) is the process of transferring data from one SAP System to another SAP system or from a non-SAP system to SAP System.
Features :
BDC is an automatic procedure.
This method is used to transfer large amount of data that is available in electronic medium.
BDC can be used primarily when installing the SAP system and when transferring data from a legacy system (external system).
BDC uses normal transaction codes to transfer data.
Types of BDC :
CLASSICAL BATCH INPUT (Session Method)
CALL TRANSACTION
BATCH INPUT METHOD:
This method is also called as CLASSICAL METHOD.
Features:
Asynchronous processing.
Synchronous Processing in database update.
Transfer data for more than one transaction.
Batch input processing log will be generated.
During processing, no transaction is started until the previous transaction has been written to the database.
CALL TRANSACTION METHOD :
This is another method to transfer data from the legacy system.
Features:
Synchronous processing. The system performs a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement.
Updating the database can be either synchronous or asynchronous. The program specifies the update type.
Transfer data for a single transaction.
Transfers data for a sequence of dialog screens.
No batch input processing log is generated.

Calling Transaction code & returning back to calling program
Hi,
I have requirement as below
Write the report to call the transaction code say for example different tcode (1000 in number) need to be executed and after every tcode execution it should return back to calling report. I tried using "CALL TRANSACTION 'ABC' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN" it does execute the tcode but need the user interaction to return back to report, where here i want do this programatically.
can someone please help me & what is possible ways this can be do able.
Thanks,
John. There are two method of BDC
1- Call transaction method
2- BDC Session method
In this case you can use call tansaction method.
Syntax- call tansaction abc using gt_bdcdata.
Do the recording with t-code SHDB for that particular transaction and after the necessary modification use it in your program.
Please check f1 help of call transaction for details. -
Passing select-options values using call transaction method
Hi Experts,
I have a scenario in which i have three fields BUKRS,WERKS and MATKL in an internal table i_tab and I have MATNR as a selection-option.
After this I have to use call transaction <tcode> for all the line items in the internal table and the MATNR select-option values I have to pass directly for each line of i_tab using call transaction method.
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_tab,
bukrs TYPE bukrs,
werks TYPE werks_d,
matkl TYPE matkl,
END OF t_tab.
DATA: w_tab TYPE t_tab,
i_tab TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t_tab.
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_matnr FOR marc-matnr.
Now I am putting a loop at i_tab and have to use CALL TRANSACTION <TCODE> for each line with the SELECT-OPTIONS for MATNR.
Please tell me whether we can pass multiple ranges for MATNR using call transcation method.
for example there can be multiple single values/multiple ranges/excluded ranges for MATNR. so please suggest me how tho achieve this sceanrio using CALL transaction method of BDC.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
KrishanHi Krishan,
For the Call transaction TCODE there is extension ....OPTIONS from OPT. Just Check it out. I think it is possible like this.
... OPTIONS FROM opt
*Effect*
This addition gives you control using the values of the components of the structure opt, which must be of the Dictionary type CTU_PARAMS. The components have the following meaning:
DISMODE
Processing mode (comparable with the MODE addition)
UPDMODE
Update mode (comparable with the UPDATE addition)
CATTMODE
CATT mode (controlling a CATT procedure)
The CATT mode can have the following values:
' ' No CATT procedure active
'N' CATT procedure without single screen control
'A' CATT procedure with single screen control
DEFSIZE
Use standard window size
RACOMMIT
COMMIT WORK does not end CATT procedure
NOBINPT
No batch input mode, that s SY-BINPT = SPACE.
NOBIEND
No batch input mode after BDC data has been read
The components DEFSIZE , RACOMMIT, NOBINPT, NOBIEND always take the following values:
'X' Yes
' ' No
If the OPTIONS addition is omitted, the following settings are valid for the control parameters:
DISMODE from the MODE addition
UPDMODE
from the UPDATE addition
CATTMODE
No CATT procedure active
DEFSIZE
Do not use standard window size
RACOMMIT
COMMIT WORK ends procedure successfully
NOBINPT
Batch input mode, that is SY-BINPT =X.
NOBIEND
Batch input mode also active after BDC data has been read

CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K from another program
Hi,
I ma trying to CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K from another program, but it is not working. The transactions is opening, but it is not opening with the contract number (ls_ekpo-ebeln) i am passing.
ls_ekpo-ebeln does have a valued when CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K is called.
In debug, I noticed the "value" is blank when step into CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K .
WHEN 'EBELN'. "Contract
l_field = 'EVRTN'.
IF ls_ekpo-ebeln <> ''.
GET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD l_field. "EVRTN.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD ls_ekpo-ebeln.
CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD ls_ekpo-ebeln.
ENDIF.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
NaingDear Naing,
I execute the same code
IF ls_ekpo IS INITIAL.
GET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD LS_EKPO.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD ls_ekpo.
CALL TRANSACTION 'ME33K' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VRT' FIELD ls_ekpo.
ENDIF.
And it is working.
Try to do de simple sintax.
A program with one pararmeter to introduce the contract number.
The set parameter for this parameter and the call transaction.
I´m waiting your comments.

Installed Base by Call Transaction
Hi!!
I have the following questions:
1) Can I do a call transaction to IB51 (enjoy) ?
2) Exist a BAPI for installed base?
Thanks to all!!Hello Umberto,
there are two OSS-notes (178473 and 189231) regarding IB51 and Batchinput. Following these notes, you can call IB51 via Call Transaction. But i've never (until Rel.4.7) found a BAPI .

When I call the main 'launch pad' program, the user will select a button and a Call Transaction MMBE is initiated (USING the first screen). The user selects a material for display and presses the execute button (F8). The material overview is displayed correctly. When the user presses the Back button (F12), transaction returns all the way back to the first called program and not to the first screen for transaction MMBE as expected.
Does anyone know how I can change the screen flow and go back to the fist screen of MMBE and not the screen of the first called program?
Regards,
RCRod,
In your case i think it is not possible as it is standard functionality by SAP.
Try work around, may be modification to the program will work.
Regards,
Amey

Hi Experts, I got an answer from SAP Korea, the YTD is only available for quarter in BPC 7.5 NW in periodic application. IS IT TRUE??? If it is just for BS, sounds OK since usually we get BS quarterly, but for PL, it should support monthly YTD view.
