Remote Code for Sky Remote rev 9 to Yamaha rx-v363 surround amp

Hi, I've just replaced my old Sky remote as the '0' stopped working. The old remote worked absolutely fine with my Yamaha amp. I've tried all the Yamaha codes suggested (0171, 0876, 0382, 0204, 1304, 0740, 1359, 0214, 1843, 2049, 2089, 2144, 2370 and 2365) but to no avail. The code I've been using on the old remote was given to me through this forum around 3 years ago but I cannot find the original thread.  Does anyone have any additional code suggestions or know if it's possible to obtain the code from my old remote? I've done this previously with another remote by counting the number of LED flashes, however, I've been unable to find anything that would suggest this is possible via a Sky remote. Thanks

Hi, I wanted to pass on a code that I found that worked with the  Bush 40" Full HD LED Smart TV (LED40127FHDCNTD) (Argos item number 128/1684). I tried a few codes from a round the web but found 0065 to work with this model with a Rev.9 Sky+ remote. For the sake of completeness here are some of the other codes that I tried without success: 2060, 1354, 2155 (from the Sky Remote page) , 2242,1613 and 2153. Hopefully this might help someone out there!

  • Why won't SKY come up with remote codes for Seiki tv's especially when charging a fortune for SKY

I wish someone could tell me why no remote codes are not available for Seiki tv's instead of coming up with excuses.

Like all new kit, it takes time for the codes to be shared and then programmed into remotes. The Sky Remote has a database of known television codes. Each TV has a group of codes to control the different functions of the TV.Sky develops  sets of codes for each TV manufactured and then applies its own code to the control set.The Sky code is what you need to program the Sky remote so that it uses the control set for the selected TV. Each Sky remote is programmed with updated code databases when it is manufactured and to keep track of what remote does what, it is given a Rev number found inside the battery bay of the remote. In the case of Seiki, the code set was not incorporated by Sky until Rev 10.Anything earlier will not work unless by sheer chance it matches the code set of another TV.

Bought a new rev'8' sky remote control as the old one has hard-to-push buttons.  I followed the instructions for programming the remote to my tv (LG 32LC2DB) but the codes supplied do not work on new remote.  Checked code on 'old' remote (0206) and tried that - no luck.  Red light does not blink when holding down 'select' and 'red button'.  Switched everything off, removed batteries, turned back on and still nothing.  New remote does work all Sky controls but not tv.  Any suggestions would be appreciated. Try these codes as well 1293  1206.Then try the procedue below.Press TV (one flash)Hold select and red till remote flashes twice999SelectTVSelect and red till two flashesEnter codeSelect

  • IMac Remote Code for DishTV Remote

    Hi All,
I am using a new iMac as TV monitor via the EyeTV Hybrid input. Everything is working well except that I need to program my Dish remote to control the volume of my iMac.
Before I embark on the lengthy code discovery process, does anyone happen to know what the Dish remote programming code is for the iMac monitor?
    TIA,
    Josh

Unfortunately, if you use all of the given device codes as well as the code search option, then you've pretty much gone through every code in the remote. There are over 300 codes, so you could try again in case you accidentally bypassed the correct code. There's also the possibility that the remote is defective, but if you have no trouble controlling other devices, then that makes it less likely.
If you have a 2nd remote for a 2nd STB you could try that and see if the trouble replicates. If you don't have a 2nd remote, you can obtain a replacement remote through the In Home Agent on your PC or Set Top Box. It can be downloaded here:
    http://www22.verizon.com/residentialhelp/inhomeagent/?CMP=DMC-CV090262
Try the setup with the 2nd remote, and failing that, then it just means the remote does not hold a code for that device. I realize the 2 devices are from the same manufacturer, but they are 2 separate products, produced for 2 different services. Any question as to why the 2 are not compatible would have to be directed toward Philips.

  • Can't find remote control code for Samsung BD-P2550

I am trying to configure my verizon fios remote to control my Samsung BD-P2550 using the DVD button on the remote.  None of the suggested codes work nor does search for the code using the remote and the fast forward button for infinite attempts,  PLEASE HELP!

    joebingo,
Unfortunately the Verizon-provided universal remote will not work for all devices, particularly for advanced devices such as BR players.  If you've already tried all the Samsung DVD codes and none of those work then it's most likely that there is not going to be a working code for this particular device.
However, you can try doing a manual code search by following the instructions here.

  • What is the Visio TV code for my RMT-B126A remote?

Your website has no available codes for either the RMT-B126A remote or the BDP-S3200 Blu ray player it came with. I want to be able to control the TV volume like I could with my Samsung TV.
    Thanks

    Hi kwg06516,
This remote(RMT-B126A) doesn't have programmable codes because its not a universal remote. It is exclusive for your player(BDP-S3200) only. It may control other devices such as TVs but with the same brand only.
    Thanks,

  • Remote infrared codes for the Sony STR-DE675 receiver

Where can I find the remote infrared codes for the Sony STR-DE675 receiver? They are not in the Owner's Manual, nor on the Sony.com website. Thanks.GBP

If you were getting sound and no picture when you had the Wii hooked up to your surround sound receiver, your TV was probably on the wrong input.  You would have needed to use the source or input button on your TV's remote and changed the input to the component 1 choice, since that is the port you stated you plugged the Wii into on the TV.
Your cable remote may not be programmed to work with the blu-ray player.  However, I think you're misunderstanding the function of the buttons at the top of your remote labeled TV, Sat/Cab, VCR, etc.  Your cable remote doesn't work like a Harmony remote.  Pushing those buttons at the top of your cable remote are not like pushing the Watch TV or Watch DVD functions on a Harmony (meaning pushing them doesn't change the TV's input automatically).  All those buttons at the top of the remote are for that you're describing are to tell the remote which components to control.  For example, you are watching cable TV and just used the remote to change the channel but now you want to adjust the volume.  You would have to hit the "TV" button on the cable remote to switch the remote from controlling the cable box to controlling the TV.  Otherwise, you'd hit the volume controls over and over and nothing would happen b/c the remote would still think it was controlling the cable box.  Only a Harmony remote (or similar universal remote) can change the TV's input with the click of a function button.
And to explain why one must change the TV's input when switching components, I always compare the process to the way a tube TV used to work for those that are new to the flat screen TVs.  Think of the way your old TV probably worked - you had to have the TV on channel 3 for your VCR, 4 for cable, etc.  The input changing is practically the same thing with just a few more steps, if that helps to make things any clearer.  LOL
Nothing I post is an official statment of Best Buy or Geek Squad, it is only a helpful opinion!

  • Finding TV, DVD, etc. Codes for FiOS TV Remote Controls

Every so often someone posts a question about needing the code for their new TV, DVD player, etc, to program into their FiOS TV remote control. The remotes come with a small booklet that lists a number of codes, but I don't think it has been updated in a while, so codes for newer devices or brands may be missing. Verizon has some lists on the web, but they seem to be difficult to find (at least for me). Here are links to the web pages I have been able to find so far:
    TVs: Link
    DVDs: Link
    Audio Receivers: Link
    Audio Amplifiers: Link
If any of you have links to other Verizon web pages, or pages at other sites that provide code lists, I think it might be useful to folks to have them posted in one place.
Some things I wish Verizon would do:
    1) Provide links in obvious places to the pages that already exist and are linked above (plus any other pages that might exist).
    2) Update the pages on a regular basis. Or if they already do that, then put an update date on the page so we can tell when it was done.
    3) Provide a link where people could send Verizon information on new devices they get or codes they discover. I mean a real email address or web page where the information would go directly to the right people instead of a generic email address with a canned response where we never know whether it actually went to someone or just was sent to the bit-bucket.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi  Adam,
I've got the same problem you had earlier this year, with the same Matsui tv/dvd combo unit and the Black remote. Did you ever get a successful resolution? If so would you mind sharing the solution with me, thank you?
